Hi guys, I have the ASUS STRIX GTX 1070 OC and recently I've been experiencing really bad FPS spikes in game. It usually goes from being smooth 60-70fps then drastically goes down to as low as 9fps and then goes back up again. This happens every few seconds. This even happens when I play on low settings. This hasn't happened before in the 3 months I had this PC and I'm just wondering what are the potential cause for this. Please help:'(

Hey guys, for the longest time now I’ve been getting what seems to be FPS Lag. But, I’m not 100% on that. Could someone in detail explain to me what it is and what it’s caused by? I’m abit if a noob when it comes to PC’s so explain in detail but not to complex Also if you could drop in a video of what it actually looks like that would be great. What it feels and looks like for me is very choppy and feels yucky with Input delay I have a good pc to. I’ll post a pic of my specs. also people tell me I should have SSD will that fix these problems?

Hi, I have two monitors, Asus ROG p258q (Main Monitor, running at 240hz) and an Asus VS278 (Second Monitor, running at 60hz). When I play Dota 2 with the second monitor on and has Twitch or something running, my game lags and stutters a lot. My frames spike from 150+ to under 60 and up again constantly. When i plug out the second monitor I get about 200 fps on average constantly and its smooth. The main monitor is running G-Sync. My Specs: - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz - GTX 1070TI GPU - 16gb 2400mhz DDR4 RAM - 600W PSU Please help! Thank you.

Alright so I’ve never really monitored temps until recently and they’re quite normal when I first boot up my pc. About 45-50C. About a week ago I would average 60-70c gaming not bad I think. Fortnite and Minecraft valorent too now I’m getting 75-90C on Fortnite depending how long I play. GPU temps are always under 75 maybe a spike to 80 is there but rare. Before I would only get near 90c when streaming and playing. A 5 min stress test is about 80c lmao. An actual long stress test for an hour is 95c. what could be the problem ? Thermal paste has been reapplied and my friend owns a 3600 which runs hotter with the same stock cooler and never goes over 80c •Ryzen 2600 Stock Cooler• 16gb ddr4 3200• Rx 570 Power Color• 500w evga • Rosewill Nautilus• b450m pro • 240gb ssd• • I have 2 intake fans that are cold always and an exhaust in the back that’s push hot air out•

Hello, i have recently moved house and ever since i have had a HUGE fps decrease and very noticeable stutter lag. The fps has dropped from around 250-300 to 99-130 (CSGO). My monitor is plugged into my graphics card, not my motherboard and nothing has changed with the PC internally so my only thoughts are that maybe the power outlets in this new house are not giving out enough power? I'm not sure. Any help or tips would be appreciated. Specs - GPU - GTX 1060 6GB CPU - Intel i5 7600K RAM - 16GB DDR4 Thanks.

I just bought a GTX 970. I installed it and removed all of the AMD drivers from my previous GPU. I loaded up DayZ and experienced tremendous lag, even worse than my last GPU. I got lag in H1Z1 and in Miscreated. Changing the settings had little to no effect. So I did some research and found out that a virus could be causing some of my problems. I ran multiple virus and malware protection softwares and saw a small improvement. I still got FPS drops in both DayZ and in Miscreated. I would only get a few in miscreated but enough to drive you crazy. I took the GPU out of my PC and put it into another, however, I saw that the PSU was only a 450 watt and that explained the FPS drops, so I put the GPU back into my rig and called it a day. The next day I saw a major improvement in my GPU. I was getting little to no lag in DayZ (Still some FPS drops here and there but that's just DayZ) but I still feel like it's not performing to it's maximum potential. The frames would fluctuate, It would go from 60 to 40 to 30 and back to 60 again, averaging about 40FPS, when others are getting 60 on lesser GPU's. Another main reason I feel like the card isn't performing well is because I still play Call of Duty (the very first one) and cannot get a steady 333FPS, which is what most people get with a decent GPU. My buddy has a 6xx somethin GPU and he maintains 333. It makes no sense for my GPU not to be able to reach that. Sorry for the long novel but I just wanted to explain everything so that people can completely see the situation in hopes that someone can identify my problem. My Specs: CPU: i7 920 @ 2.67GHz (I know it's a bit outdated but I still feel like the GPU should perform better) GPU: Gigabyte's GTX 970 Windforce RAM: 14GB DDR3 HDD: 2x 148GB 1x 500GB - No SSDs ;( PSU: Thermaltake TR2 TR-600W I've posted this before with no luck. I've now downloaded a AAA game, BF4, and I'm getting shit FPS compared to a lot of people on youtube. I can't keep it above 60, I drop as low as 30 and notice some lag. Those I've seen on YouTube are averaging like 80 - 90 and even hitting like 115 on Ultra settings. I just ordered a Xeon x5670 6 core CPU, so hopefully that'll help a bit. But even with my i7 920 I feel like this GPU should be performing way better then what it is now. Did Newegg send me a broken GPU? I'm beggining to get worried. Thanks in advance. OK so my system are http://pastebin.com/vh30eT4p there is also i link so show what frames i should just about be receiving in games but im getting terrible frames im playing overwatch and i turned my setting all the way down to the lowest possible settings and nothing im getting 60 to 70 at the spawn with some dips into the 40 and 30 and once i got outside 60 and 40 and 30 and even if i turn my settings back up to high its exactly the same i dont know what to do i uninstalled my display drivers and got the new ones have the latest bios im lost all my driver are up to date please help

This is a strange place to post this, but I'm looking for as much help as people are willing to offer. This has been happening to me and plenty of other people for a while (I tried getting help but I either get ignored or people give up trying to help me). It's also a big issue since the group I play with is entirely based around Payday 2...This doesn't just happen to Xsplit users; plenty of OBS users have reported this as well. When attempting to stream Payday 2 through either Xsplit or OBS, for some reason it will recognize my mouse clicks on my second monitor which will pop up right-click menus and even tab me out of the game rather frequently if it recognizes a left-click. The mouse doesn't physically appear, though. Something I have noticed is that if I pull up my Steam overlay while streaming Payday 2 that when my mouse pops up, it will be on the second monitor when the overlay pulls up. The only way I can stop this from happening is to have absolutely nothing on my second monitor so there's no windows to click. That let's me know that it's only recognizing my mouse when there is a window present that's not Xsplit. Along with the mouse issues, my physical game lags/stutters down below 60 fps even though it outputs to the stream perfectly fine (even if I hit normal frame-rates, it's really choppy). This does not happen with ANY other game for me; only Payday 2. The funny thing is, the menus aren't affected as much. Only when I load into the heist does the lag start to kick into high gear. These issues don't appear on all machines so I'm hoping that might help narrow down what's causing these issues. Something I thought was that it might be dual monitors or the refresh rates they're at. I'm on two 144hz monitors at the resolution 1920x1080. My second thought is that Xsplit or even Payday 2 has a few bugs with SLI configurations. I'm currently using two Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980's. The monitors are connected via DVI (same exact cables as well). I hope I've given enough information to progress to resolving these issues. Thanks again if you read all the way through.

As the title says I'm having some fps issues with my 780 Ti on GTA V. I've seen people who have been able to run all on max with a 970 + i5 so theoretically I should be able to get a similar experience considering the 780 Ti is a stronger(?) card than the 970. I have a feeling that it may be my CPU holding me back but that may just be my imagination. I'll try and include as much helpful information below as I can: GPU has stock cooler +137MHz on Core Clock +150MHz on Memory Clock Max Fan speed + Overvolted through EVGA Precision Never goes above 80% Gpu usage when ingame Monitor Overclocked to 66Hz Drops to 40 FPS while driving and in other areas. Also fluctuates around 50 normally but does have areas where it will stick to 66 for a while. I never notice it going below 40 though. CPU has default overclock to 3.7GHz currently Game is on my HDD If upgrades are needed I've got about ~£200 to spend Normal RAM is freed up I have about 80% total usage when playing GPU Never heats up to a bottleneck point CPU stays at a good temp ~60 Degress Celsius Power usage is normally at 60-70% Windows 8.1 Specs should be below but may be slightly outdated for what I am actually using. This has been when playing GTA Online, I haven't tested single player as of yet. Settings: Ambient Occlusion: High Anisotropic filtering: x16 Dx 11 Windowed Borderless Distance Scaling: 100% FXAA: On Grass Quality: High Population Density: 100% Population Variety: 100% Post FX: Normal Reflection MSAA: off Reflection Quality: Very High Resolution: 1080p Shader Quality: Very High Soft Shadows: Softer Tesselation: High Texture Quality: Very High Water Quality: High VSync: On -Same On or Off MSAA: 2x - Should be all Don't kill me if I forgot something crucial

So the thing is that I have FPS bug or lag (Not really sure which it is) in almost every game I play. When I play for example BF 3 my FPS does some kind of stuttering or lagging even tho I'm supposed to have good FPS. I have noticed this happening in BF 3, Chivalry, DayZ Standalone and in WoW (Only MoP area when I'm flying). I have tried Vsync on/off, restarting my computer and such. The thing that's odd to me about this, is that The FPS lag doesn't start immediately when I play the game. It usually takes about 2min in BF and about 10min in Chivalry. I haven't noticed anything funny in the heat levels except once my prosessor had one core about 130°C and other cores about 70°C but this was after about 6h gaming (some short periods on idle mode during the time).
