I am getting really frustrated with coreldraw x7. It keeps telling me fonts are missing but they are installed on my machine. I tried removing them and reinstalling them but still nothing.

I replaced my old 750ti with a 3060. Everything is fine, but in chrome the fonts are weird. Its like thicker than before and a bit blurry (especially in google search and youtube titles). I have already tried a lot of things. I played with hardware acceleration settings, ClearType, performance settings in windows (smoothing fonts), nvidia fxaa anti-aliasing, restore default font settings, disabled chrome extensions, tried different drivers too, but no luck so far. I took some screenshots so you can see.

Hello everyone, My client is requesting a server-based font management server other than Universal Type Server which can be deployed on a cloud Hyper-V Windows or Ubuntu. I prefer an open-source software. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hello community, i was wondering if you could suggest me a font style that looks good on every background/style. Because i got this request from my clients to make 30 quote poster. I sent 10 sample, and he only picked one which is the most simple to make and i thought, well this is good, easier for me. So i made another 10 with his requirements, but he said i should've just use one font style only. And i am like, what? This is the most ridiculous requirement ever because i have to make 30 of em with the same font style and i am sure you already know that the font has to follow the background in order to match. I mean, its not a problem for me but to me personally, it looks so ugly because i am not allowed to use semi transparent black/white rectangle behind the text either. Its gonna look like some junior high school student who just made it. What do you think? Because i've explained to him the correlation between the font style and the background but he insisted.

Hi, I use VS Code to edit files of different file types -- mainly .py and .tex files. I was wondering if I can use different fonts in the editor for these two different file types. It will be really useful if I can do so. Thanks in advance for your help.

I was downloading fonts some time ago, and i dont know what happened, i must've clicked something, but it has changed my default font on certain sites, but only in the browser, not in windows. I found the font which was the problem, and i deleted it, which changed the font, to another font, which also doesn't work very well, because it's slim. I can't find that font, therefore i can't delete it. Does anyone know how to resolve the problem? I have tried to create a .reg file but that didnt seem to work.

* I have a college project where i have to make a text editor for the Arabic language however I am required to use bitmap fonts and to manually convert the byte data of each letter into pixels. The Arabic language has 28 letters and each letter has 3 different forms and sometimes even more . (This project is coded in eclipse using java) Is there some way that i can give a program a letter and it can return the binary representation of the letter? Or is there some way i can access the source code of an already made font? Otherwise ill have have to make my own font from scratch and that will take many ours that i don't have.

I'm currently working on a video project and need a font that's as similar as possible to the font on Apple's website: https://www.apple.com/ It needs to be a font that's built-in to Windows 10 since I'm moving the project around between a lot of different computers and therefore don't want to download anything. Any ideas?

Post your favorite Sans and Monotype fonts in here: Mine are Liberation Sans and Liberation Mono becuase they don't fill the width of the screen with 5 characters like DejaVu Sans and doesn't look like it has anorexia like FreeSans.

So i have the problem that i have too big fonts for HP/ARMOR/MONEY/AMMO but not the stats menu or any other menu item(see attached screenshot) in CSS i know a fix to this by deleting the fonts in the steam folder so far so good. The problem is that this works only for one time as soon as i close steam there get reloaded and i have the same problem. Does anyone know a permanent fix for this ? Disable Windows scaling does`t work.

I find ClearType, Direct Write, etc. font rendering systems not very aesthetically pleasing. So I download a free software called MacType on my Windows 10. The problem is that it does not render everything on Windows 10. I was able to make it run on Chrome by disabling direct write from Chrome://flags. I have read multiple articles in which they explained that Mac type only will work on places where GDI++ is being used. Places where Direct Write is present, Mac Type will not work. Also from Office 2013, they office applications started using direct write to render the fonts. So is there are way I can disable direct write individually from office. Also is there a way I can disable direct write from the entire windows 10 OS. I have tried going into the directx diagnostic tool but there is not editing options there. Please Help! Regards, Akhil

So, I decided to examine my traffic logs earlier, and boy did I notice something strange. Can anyone think of any reason that SkyFonts needs to browse pornhub? I'm going to send them an email about it once I get Outlook working (it stalled during setup and now tries to connect to a non-existent mailbox on startup, so it never loads.) Edit: It's been brought to my attention that I can't read. I even showed someone else the screenshot and they also read pornhub. So, my bad I guess. Cloud scaling is cool too I suppose.

So this is what the font looks like while I am typing it in the box here. I did this because I wanted to download the Helvetica font for documents, although now that I've tried uninstalling it and deleting the downloaded file for it I cannot remove it. It's very hard to see typing this here and is very hard to read in things like Twitch chat. So yeah, really do not know how to fix this. I've deleted every trace of Helvetica that I possibly can. Thanks!

Yesterday I installed about 300 fonts on my PC. Those fonts worked on my old laptop, without any problem but once i installed them on my PC this happened. I have no idea what could have caused this. Obviously i can't use my PC so a quick response would be really appreciated, especially beacause i need to use it for school purposes and i have a project that needs to be completed today.

So I installed (as a shortcut) about 1.5k fonts one shot. My computer now gets a 30 seconds black screen after the "Starting Windows" even thouht i uninstalled them and restored to default windows fonts Story : Having realy nothing to to, i was browsing my old hard drive to cringe on my old youtube comentary videos. don't ask my why but i ended up in E:/Fonts, a folder that is normaly hidden on your C:/ and is you try to go it will reddirect to the fonts control pannel ( i never formated my once-os drive that is now my secondary) so i decided to install all those, as a shortcut, all in one shot. I got a bit of errors like "this font is already installed" but only about 10 times, even tought i re-downloaded alot of those fonts (the same i had before my ssd, so way more than 10 fonts should have prompted me with the error) When i did that, google chrome would't work. I would get the "It's dead jim" screen on every single page, even the new tab. I was like "ok lets restart probably too much fonts to handle without a restart". its at this moment exactly that the problem started. What i tried : - Restore the best i could to windows default fonts using this tutorial : http://www.withsteps.com/404/how-i-restored-my-windows-7-default-fonts.html - At first I would not believe the problem was related to the fonts so i tried this : http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/406980-windows-suddenly-taking-much-longer-to-boot-solution/ Extra info : - I run on an SSD that, 1 day ago, was booting my system to usable desktop in 12 seconds. - Now boots in about 80 seconds total - SSD benchmarks are 100% what they should be, and what they were 2 day ago (yes i benchmark my drives often) - The computer runs perfectly and as fast as before once it's completely booted (except some programs missing fonts since i restored to factory fonts, but i reinstalled almost of them) - The 30 seconds black screen isn't the only lag... Once the desktop apears. half of my programs will work perfectly(GoogleChrome, Explorer (not the internet browser), skype, and a lot more) and the other half will simply not work, but after about 20 seconds, they literaly start to work all at the same second. Those are steam, my A-V, Razer synapse, dropbox.(the only ones i can see in the foregroud) and pretty much all windows tools like perfomrance monitor and event viewer. - During this 20 seconds the notification area is almost completely unresponsive, except skype and the clock. Everything else like network and sound icons are frozen, even the windows 10 upgrade thing is unresponsive. Im 99% sure this bug is OS related and my ssd is fine so don't try too hard to help me since its just an anoying bug,but nothing bad, and will probably be fixed on the windows 10 instalation in 8 days (HYPE!) (if not i will format, probably wanted to get a 100% clean windows 10 install anyways.)

Hi, so my grandmother is having troubles reading on her computer screen and I increased the size of the stuff on the screen to medium (125%). You do this by going to "Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display > Medium - 125%" or whatever size you like. So basically everything is a bit larger than it was before like programs and text and buttons etc... But what I also would need is a general change of font in the windows os since she mainly uses the programs in the os. (Actually also a lot of the game "Hearts" :) ) But the other programs doesn't mather like firefox etc, because that is mainly my grandfather who is using this. Like looking at emails and news etc... But he can see better so the 125% increase of the screen was enough. But where (if you can) do you change to a bit bigger and a bold font that she can more easily see? This would help them a lot so if you know please help me! Regards, Ludwig Johnson

Well to be perfectly honast, I was quite suprised to see that there wasn't already a topic on this. ( at least in the " search " bar ) Anyways, I was wondering what peoples favorite font was, so if you'd care to share what yours is, and why bellow I'd appreiate it. ( Try to keep it one of the stock fonts ) I'll start it off, my favorite font by far is Tahoma. Tahoma is my favorite font, because I like all the clean cut lines, and the simplicity of it.
