I was wondering if anyone could help me resolve my BSoD that I've been getting for the past couple of months. The closest change to the start of the BSoDs that I can think of was me changing the AIO cooler, but it might be totally unrelated. I also removed and re-installed video card/keyboard/mouse/etc. drivers to no avail. OS - Windows 10 64 What OS was originaly installed on the system? Same OS Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from a retailer)? I purchased it Age of system (hardware) built it in 2016 but was in storage from 2017 until 2020 Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? same installation from 2016. I haven't re-installed CPU model. 6700k 4ghz Video Card model Asus 970 GTX MotherBoard - (if NOT a laptop) SABERTOOTH Z170 S Power Supply - brand & wattage (if laptop, skip this) Corsair RM750 System Manufacturer. self-built Exact model number (if OEM or laptop) Laptop or Desktop? desktop dump files: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AooLD61pVx2rh09fuV-DnPUDxrhg?e=HycWde Thank you

This is the 3rd day in the row where I haven't been able to use my headset, and where I hover over the sound icon (that's not always there) it says "Sound service not working" I've tried reinstalling the drivers for my headset, restarting the windows audio driver through services.msc, even though it says that it works fine, and I've tried to troubleshoot it several times, without any result. Usually, it starts working after an hour or so, but I'd like to be able to use my PC right after I turn it on, and not have to wait for several hours before it works. Is there anything else I can do without reinstalling windows/go back to the factory settings (I'm getting a new PC in a couple of months, so I don't really want to spend this much time on my current PC, even if I'll use it as a second PC)

Posting to vent, I was so god damn careful pulling a part a friends broken laptop to replace a dead drive. I tip toed around every ribbon cable removal but now there's no touchpad functionality! On a side note, who's great engineering breakthrough was it that decided, "Hey, instead of placing access panels on commonly failing components like EVERY GOD DAMN ONE ELSE, let's make people remove the whole top keyboard assembly to get to the HDD" Thanks Acer. Ugh, I've ordered a replacement cable already but holy crap that's been an ordeal. I need a beer.

I have an i7 4770 and a Gigabyte z97mx gaming 5 mobo, along with an ROG GTX 1070. Since transplanting my system to a Mastercase Pro 3, the system only posts every other time. After I shut the computer down, it will fail to post the first time. The second time, it posts no problem. Memcheck returned no issues, and my boot drive is less than a year old. Is this a dying mobo? Nothing else is affected, just the post issue. Am I the only one?

screen going black during game, for about 1-3 seconds amd580
kallso posted a topic in Graphics Cards
Ok guys so im running a nice system but i decided to try out the 580 and now im having an issue that when i am in games my screen will go dark for 1-2 seconds and this doesnt happen with my 1060 but i wanna know if anyone has a fix, btw ive tried different versions of the drivers and software. -
To begin with I will post my specs CPU Intel Core i5-4690k Motherboard MSI Z97-G55 RAM G.Skill Ripjaws Z Series 8GB GPU Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X 3GB WINDFORCE PSU Roswell Hive 650 Now onto the main part. While playing Planetside 2 today my computer crashed by the screen turning blue (not the windows error type) and I heard a stuttering noise being produced by the audio. When I turned it off and on again everything turned on but the monitor was telling me it was not receiving a signal. When I removed the graphics card and ran the graphics through the mother board it displayed fine. When I reseated EVERYTHING including the graphics card it suddenly began working. When I went to play Planetside 2 again after about 30-45 minutes the same thing happened. Edit: Up until it crashed I was getting the same performance as I always have with no issues. I was wondering if this is a graphics card issue or a power supply issue?

So today I naively thought it would be a good time to get round to tackling my new pc build and namely shaping, cutting and connecting my petg tubing. 12 hours later, and 1M of PETG wasted, Ive only, managed to make about 100mm of connections, namely connecting my resevoir<Pump<T-Junction Fitting<1st of 3 480mm rads & attach a bleed valve (took 1 hour alone to fit). To make matters worse, I had to make some alterations to my case to mount my resevoir which cost me one of my handheld Dremmel Rotary Tools (its fuxked now). Im not 100% the resevoir is secure either. Ive come to the firm conclusion that Hard tubing is a pain in the ass and i should have spent my £150 buying some soft tubing and new fittings and sold on the 20xsomething EK HDC fittings i have but too late now. Ive made some progress but I still have 7 connections to make and ive only managed 3 so far in a whole day. Is there anyone who can give me some advice bending the petg tubing as it constantly twists/warps whenever I attempt to make the rediculously tight bends i have to make, so i have to resort to 45' 90' angle fittings instead. This build is going to kill me I swear, and I will put money on something leaking somewhere at some point. Not to mention i dissassembled ny pc over 2 montha ago and i swear im having withdrawal symptons lol. Anyway heres some more pics coming so you guys can see my "progress" so far, but at this point it feels like 2 steps back>1 step forward.

Hi all, I recently opened up AC4, something I haven't played in ages, and noticed my 94% save was missing, which is extremely annoying, I tried some methods online as in going into the uplay save files and seeing if I can retrieve it, but sadly it is completely gone, does anyone know where I could download an online save that is close to my progress and how to do it? I do know people do that, since I did it for my Just Cause 2 game, but for AC4, trying to put in the save doesn't seem to be that easy.. Thanks for the help!

2 Months ago I completed my build (below). Since then it keeps rebooting without a BSOD like somebody pressed the reset switch. This mostly happens when I'm working in zBrush but sometimes when I'm just watching YT. Since I'm studying 3D Modeling I use zBrush at least a couple of hours a day. Sometimes my PC reboots only a few times a day, sometimes it reboots like 10 times a day. Pretty much always when working with zBrush. Windows Event Viewer always shows a "Critical - Kernal Power - ID 41" error afterwards. The system runs full stock with the stock Wraith Prism cooler. CPU temps in idle are @45°C and @91°C when running Cinebench R20. GPU temps hit 80°C under stress testing. Gaming and Benchmarks run just fine without any reboots. Here are the things I already tried: -Switching to a new more powerful PSU (Corsair TX650M -> TX750M) -Updating Bios to newest version (7C37v14 / Update AMD ComboPI1.0.0.3abba) -Updating Chipset Drivers -Updating Drivers in general -Using different Ryzen power plans -Automatic Overclocking in Ryzen Master -Changing RAM speed to 3000mhz with A-XMP -Changing PCIe 4.0 to 3.0 -Reseating RAM PC specs: -Ryzen 9 3900x -Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2*16) -MSI MPG x570 Gaming Edge WiFi -Gigabyte RTX 2060s Gaming OC -Crucial P1 Nvme SSD 1TB -Corsair TX650M -Windows 10 Pro

So, I’m a media professional really needing to finally upgrade my 3770k build to something in the high end but not quite tr4 range now that I can finally afford to. However, there are no 3950’s to be found today and I don’t know what to do in the unknown amount of time before they are actually in stock... please advise and thanks. john

Hey guys. Long time lurker, finally made an account. Let me start off by saying I am a fairly advanced user, and have spent approximately 6 hours troubleshooting this issue. I have never seen anything like it before. I have never once had to post anywhere asking for help before, either. The issue appeared today, either after a restart for approximately 3 Windows Updates, or after driver installs of an AMD RX 570. I have a 1080TI as my main card, and I was just doing bios installation on the RX 570 using my desktop. So the problem I am experiencing is this: If anyone has ever changed their bitrate output of an audio device, it is JUST like that, in a way. Levels move as expected, but your device can't output the bitrate/hz setting, so it is just silent. ZERO audio output on any devices, EXCEPT for one of my 3 monitors. That monitor is hooked up to the DVI output on my 1080ti. Let's call it monitor #1. All 3 monitors have speakers. Only one will work (when selected as default device, or using the "Test" in the Windows audio panel) I have headphones (Mixamp+A40) hooked to the optical output on my motherboard. No audio there. I have speakers hooked to the 3.5mm green plug on the monitor output. No audio there. All devices have been tested on other machines, and all are working as expected on other machines. My speakers exhibit a light "pop" sound occasionally. Random intervals, single pops only. Does not seem to coincide with system activity nor with any audio activity. All devices when selected either as the default device, or when using "Test" in the Windows audio panel, will show activity, with the green output level bar moving as you would expect (when working properly). Connecting one of the other monitors to the DVI output on my 1080ti does not change anything. No audio will be outputted to the monitor plugged into the DVI port, unless it is the monitor (#1) that had working audio beforehand. Using DDU to wipe all Nvidia and AMD drivers does not do anything. A modified Safe Mode with Networking that allows the audio services to work, with Default Windows Audio drivers, will still show the same problem of green level bars moving as if working, but no output. Manually setting default devices to each device changes nothing in terms of actual output. Green level bars will work on all devices. I have performed a full wipe of Realtek audio drivers, full gpu driver wipes, CMOS reset, power cord pull + PSU switched off for 30m, old Realtek drivers. I have uninstalled VoiceMeeter (used to split devices and such where needed) and run without it completely, and performed all troubleshooting steps again with it uninstalled. I have removed 3 of the 3 windows updates that were installed. Every time though, a new update is listed as being installed today. In this case, I have KB4022719 listed as being installed today, for whatever reason. I did not install that update today. Not sure why it reports that as such. I have changed all devices output settings to various bitrates, various Hz settings. I have ensured no devices have Exclusive Mode (application control) turned on. OS is Windows 7 x64. Hardware: MOBO: Asus Sabertooth z170 S CPU: Intel i7 6700K w/ Corsair H110i cooler GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080Ti SC2 RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB DDR4-3200 SSD1: Crucial MX300 750gb SSD2: Corsair Force GS 240gb SSD3: Corsair Force GT 120gb PSU: Corsair AX860i Case: Corsair 800D Keyboard: Das Keyboard Ultimate S Mouse: Logitech MX518 (circa 2005) Main Screen: 1x Dell 27" Gsync 144hz 1440p s2716DG Side Screens: 2x Asus 23.8" VN248H IPS < Monitor #1 is one of these So the two hints we have are one monitor works (#1), and audio popping from speakers at random intervals, with no discernible cause. I have yet to try a firmware update on the mobo, nor a Windows reinstall (dear god I want to avoid that at all costs), nor a Windows "repair." It's like something is somehow intercepting the audio output, and just.. not allowing it. I'm not sure how to test to see if the mobo is damaged in some way, of if that is even possible. I suppose a boot usb that can use audio output may work? Any help that anyone can give will be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I was excited to get home and see my new TV to be delivered! Except... as I start unboxing it I realized it's not the correct one I ordered. I ordered a 55" Curved UHD TV and they sent me a 55" Flat Panel UHD TV. Pretty much same specs but I wanted to experience the curve. Since then I have called and bounced around pretty much every other department that I need for them to fix this! They want to offer me a $25 discount for a mistake they made -_____-. Has anyone had a similar issue? If so, how was it resolved?

I just bought a GTX 970. I installed it and removed all of the AMD drivers from my previous GPU. I loaded up DayZ and experienced tremendous lag, even worse than my last GPU. I got lag in H1Z1 and in Miscreated. Changing the settings had little to no effect. So I did some research and found out that a virus could be causing some of my problems. I ran multiple virus and malware protection softwares and saw a small improvement. I still got FPS drops in both DayZ and in Miscreated. I would only get a few in miscreated but enough to drive you crazy. I took the GPU out of my PC and put it into another, however, I saw that the PSU was only a 450 watt and that explained the FPS drops, so I put the GPU back into my rig and called it a day. The next day I saw a major improvement in my GPU. I was getting little to no lag in DayZ (Still some FPS drops here and there but that's just DayZ) but I still feel like it's not performing to it's maximum potential. The frames would fluctuate, It would go from 60 to 40 to 30 and back to 60 again, averaging about 40FPS, when others are getting 60 on lesser GPU's. Another main reason I feel like the card isn't performing well is because I still play Call of Duty (the very first one) and cannot get a steady 333FPS, which is what most people get with a decent GPU. My buddy has a 6xx somethin GPU and he maintains 333. It makes no sense for my GPU not to be able to reach that. Sorry for the long novel but I just wanted to explain everything so that people can completely see the situation in hopes that someone can identify my problem. My Specs: CPU: i7 920 @ 2.67GHz (I know it's a bit outdated but I still feel like the GPU should perform better) GPU: Gigabyte's GTX 970 Windforce RAM: 14GB DDR3 HDD: 2x 148GB 1x 500GB - No SSDs ;( PSU: Thermaltake TR2 TR-600W I've posted this before with no luck. I've now downloaded a AAA game, BF4, and I'm getting shit FPS compared to a lot of people on youtube. I can't keep it above 60, I drop as low as 30 and notice some lag. Those I've seen on YouTube are averaging like 80 - 90 and even hitting like 115 on Ultra settings. I just ordered a Xeon x5670 6 core CPU, so hopefully that'll help a bit. But even with my i7 920 I feel like this GPU should be performing way better then what it is now. Did Newegg send me a broken GPU? I'm beggining to get worried. Thanks in advance. Edit: Oh, and I even reinstalled windows.

I have this power-line adapter from tp link (Url) which worked fairly well for the first month and then quit on me(No I didn't plug it in the power strip); kind of like the one I sent back under warranty that did the same thing. I would totally just use an Ethernet cable if my router wasn't about 40 feet away from my computer. I was purposely using this to avoid the network interference I was getting from my WiFi. So I'm looking for another option because I don't know if its just the brand or if its my House power breaking it. I just want to know if its the brand or if I should get a network card and hopefully switch to a good WiFi channel or if I should do something totally different. Please give me suggestions and recommendations. Thanks. PC: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3yG93C

I got the Dell inspiron 15 (7559) Gaming laptop almost a month ago and all was good. Last night i went to play a game of battlefield 4 and my FPS was around 10. Confused as fuck i went to take a look at my GPU and i was running off the Intel integrated graphics. My Nvidia GTX 960m was missing from everything including device manager. I tried to install the drivers but failed because the driver installer says there is no Nvidia hardware detected. I have already updated BIOS and even formatted the computer and reinstalled windows 10. I am really trying to avoid sending my unit back to Dell even though i might have to end up going with that method. Any help is greatly appreciated! I want a gaming pc, but unfortunatly I cant afford it because I am not allowed to sell my consoles, and I am not allowed to get a job due to school grades. South korea has a test that decided what college you can go, and it is a very hard test. I wanna get a job, but mom doesnt allow it because I need to prepare for that test. I really want a gaming pc. What should I do? Give up?

So a week ago I packed up my PC to go visit a friend for a week. Now I'm dismantling it again (cpu cooler and graphics card coming out) to head back home. However, this time when cleaning the thermal paste off my CPU, some of it got onto the edge of the socket. So I removed the CPU and went to clean the paste off, and... it got into the socket. Now, I've been a professional PC tech for about 5 years and I have never encountered this. I figured instead of risking damaging the socket, I'd ask for the more experienced folk here to help me out. I'm thinking removing the motherboard and alcohol bath until it goes away, but what do you think? The mobo is an Asus X99-A with the giant LGA 2011-3 socket.

Why in the hell DID I POST THIS SHIT, but #PrayForCats 350+ cats were killed in my hometown SHIT I FEEL BAD ATLEAST...i saved 4... :'(

Long story short, my case is destroyed. Like it's crushed, cannot even become a jimmy rigged unit. I've always been very interested in having a nice portable/small case. I would just build a new PC but with the Canadian dollar in the tank and with my CPU running fine I just don't see a point in upgrading at the moment. (Also I just cannot afford it) Now to the nitty-gritty. My Asus Z97-A *seems* to be in good condition meaning after pulling it out of the "case" and running it off a cardboard box it boots up windows... I even gamed for a bit because it was a moment. But (there's always a but) it's scratched and seems to have some cracks in the motherboard itself. I worry that it would break upon reinstalling it into a new case or more likely fail. So I need a new Mobo and case, here's the issue. I'm running LGA 1150, and there seems to be a lack of mobo's that I can use for over clocking. (i5-4690K) with this forced "upgrade" I figure I should over clock it as it is hitting it's second year of life. (OCing was always the plan for later) Anyone have suggestions? I'm looking at ITX, Micro ATX, or even small ATX cases. Whatever is smaller. I'm trying to save as much money as I can obviously, as a "build" this is an oddity. If anyone has any suggestions on how I should proceed I'd greatly appreciate it.

So just encountered this oddity a few minutes ago. My year old Rosewell Hive power supply was making an odd coil whine up until I did a full restart. Is the coil whine that randomly happened the sign of it taking a shit? Should I just replace it fully? Yank it apart and do naughty things to it?
