NZXT Cam is the only program on my PC that I have seen do this. I have not found much info online and I made sure it is up to date. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled nzxt cam. Not sure what else to do and figured I'd post on here for an answer. Thanks! nzxt glitch.MOV

Recently it happens that both in game and on the desktop (usually when I have any window open) the image on the screen glitches/flickers for an instant (I can't really describe what happens, but up and down the window seems to break along a column, sometimes showing the contents of the window below or it seems to scan one column of pixels with another), and then everything returns to normal. This happens only on one of the two monitors I have connected, specifically the one set to 165Hz This is the setup: CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO Black DDR4-RAM 3600 MHz 2x 8GB (no XMP) MOBO: MSI X570-A PRO AMD PSU: Be Quiet! System Power 9 500W ATX Black GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3060 EAGLE OC V2 12GB (never tweaked) Storage: 1 x SSD 2.5'' 1 x HDD 2.5'' 2 x HDD 3.5'' 1 x NVMe Gen4 M.2 SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB MONITORs: PHILIPS Evnia Gaming Monitor 24M1N3200Za/00 (@165Hz w/ DP) TV AKAI 1080P (60Hz w/ HDMI) This phenomenon occurs both in Windows 10 (clean install, no crack, no tweaking, no dubious tools and not activated) and in EndeavourOS where the phenomenon always occurs on the PHILIPS monitor @165Hz On Windows I re-performed the clean driver installation with the help of DDU, but nothing changed. Searching the internet I found a file.reg on reddit that was supposed to solve the problem by disabling MPO via windows registry, but nothing. I downloaded benchmarks but they all run great. I responsive without errors on vram with both OCCT and memtest_vulkan. Finally I took a look at the temperatures in the various games and benchmarks, but it's all ok, I then opened the pc, and took a better look at the HW just checking if the various connectors were well plugged in by reattaching the various connections but nothing. As for the monitor settings, I really don't know where to put my hand and whether to put it. Do you recommend anything?

Hi, Randomly out of nowhere my screens will freeze then just go black, then my main monitor will flicker from an off black to an on black constantly. I've checked all my drivers to no avail and its really annoying me as its a brand new PC. I found out that Nvidia Geforce experience wasnt working last night and that when i opened the app up it was lagging my mouse out, i turned off the ingame overlay and it felt smoother. Any Ideas? I'm stumped. Thanks

I have two AOC Q3279VWFD8 (who comes up with the names of those?) monitors and for a while, the main one i used, is slightly darker, and warmer in color. Today it started flickering. It's less noticable when i put it on 75Hz refresh rate, but if you stare at it directly it's noticable. I moved the flickering monitor to my right hand side, it's now a secondary monitor. The color difference is quite noticable, if i put a window between them, one displays whites as white, the other (i guess bad one) is yellow-ish. They have the same settings. I tried plugging it in the other ports on the GPU, same thing, tried different type of port - DP>HDMI, same thing, tried another cable, same thing... It's the monitor, right? There's something wrong with it directly? Backlight maybe? Or something? The now main one works great still, so i don't have to look at the flicker at least. They're old and were cheap so it was bound to happen i guess. Is there anything easy to do to prevent it from going bad further, or if not, i'll milk it for as long as i can i guess. I'm not looking to spend too much to fix it.

I have a MSI G271 monitor and when I adjust the hz to anything above 120, the bottom 20 or so pixels will begin flickering. By flickering, I mean they're unresponsive and delayed when something is meant to be displayed on them. I am using an rtx 3060 ti founders edition graphics card if that helps and I have tried switching to two different hdmi cables with no fix.

I recently shifted to Windows 11 and a new problem started to occur. My display won't stop flickering *see video*. I have reinstalled the display drivers for my laptop (ASUS Zenbook 13 UX331UA). It has an i7-8550u with UHD 620 graphics. The two display drivers I have from ASUS are: 27.20.100.8682 and 26.20.100.7325. Both cause the incontrollable flickering. I can use the "Microsoft Basic Display Adaptor Drivers" which stops the flickering, but is also not the best as it doesn't let me change brightness levels and it is choppy. Windows Update is not helpful here...can I use other laptop model's display drivers that have similar specs? Any input is appreciated. 20230620_171416.mp4

A few days ago I took a monitor from a colleague (LG 27GL850-B) and it works great outside of games. However, when I go into games, I have a constant problem of the screen flickering to black. On the desktop, browsing, all programs, no problem, but as soon as I enter the game, the problems start. Interestingly, one game (World of Tanks) flickers only on ultra graphics in 1080p, while on medium it works normally. Tried 2k resolution and got the same thing - it flickers on high resolution, but when I set the lowest resolution it works normally. Tried setting 100, 120 and 144 Hz, same problem. What is interesting to me is that in the case when I set the high resolution in 2k and 1080p, in both cases there is no FPS cap problem, GPU outputs locked 119 fps, so, on the one hand, it does not make sense to me that the graphics "struggle" at high resolutions, and then again the description suggest to it. I tried to connect with two different, new DP 1.4 ports, and with one HDMI cable (I don't know which version, but the maximum was 100hz) and the same problem. I've tried turning off FreeSync in the settings (since I'm using an AMD card), reinstalling the GPU drivers, reinstalling monitor drivers, trying turning off Adaptive Sync on my monitor. The monitor is advertised as a G-Sync monitor, but as far as I know it also supports FreeSync? - is it possible that the problem is possibly in some settings within the AMD software? I'm really not sure where to go from here. Any ideas about what could be the problem (Googling even suggested that power supply could be problem?), what else to try, or is it just the GPU dying? EDIT: Some more testing. At least one game (World of Tanks) works fine on 2k ultra graphic when monitor and in-game settings are set to 60hz. I capped FPS to 59 and encountered zero problems. Mid-game I switched to 100Hz profiles, raised FPS cap to 99, and encountered again same problems. I’m stuck. I got a second m.2 so I moved over some documents and photos and did a fresh install of Windows 11 on my main drive. System Specs CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D w/ Mugen 5 cooler GPU: ASRock 6800XT Taichi Mobo: MSI B550 Tomahawk RAM: 64GB Corsair 3200MHZ PSU: Thermaltake Grandpower RGB 850W Storage: SK Hynix Platinum 2TB main, just added Intel 670P 2TB The GPU was recently replaced from a recent RMA for Radeon driver crashing issues. The rest of the system was purchased in November/December of last year While the install media ran on my USB, I was playing Rainbow 6 Siege and my screens went green for a second and went back to normal a few times. I did the fresh install shortly after and installed all of my drivers and some games, then the same thing happened but more frequently with some artifacts. Sometimes I lose discord voice audio but not the sound affects like muting and deafening. Sometimes the screens turn green and my PC turns off, but not a green error screen just solid green. I added a photo of one of the event logs. Here’s what I have tried: •The fresh install •Re installing display drivers fatter using DDU •Enabling/Disabling Kombo Strike •Command prompt DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, sfc /scannow, and chkdsk •Changing background and disabling animation •Changing display refresh rates Running games windowed- this seemed to help a little •Windows 10 fresh install after all of this, and the problem persists but not as bad so far I reinstalled Corsair iCUE and while messing with mouse settings the screen flickered once for the first time since this fresh install. I finished messing with settings and uninstalled iCUE to see if that could have been the problem. I switched mice too. I played Deep Rock Galactic and had a quick flicker two times but not bad and no crashes. I have enough extra parts to troubleshoot piece by piece, but I want to see if there are any other solutions or troubleshooting methods to try before tearing it all apart. (R5 1600, Strix X370, 16GB Corsair RAM, Seasonic 750W, Strix 5700XT). pls help

Hello everyone ! here's my issue : My screen is flickering, randomly, without any charge or any type of content to display, even on the windows login screen. It happened a while ago with my "old" 980ti and with this screen. That one time, going back to an older driver resolved the issue but it's back again and with another GPU. This time i've tried everything below and the issue is still here while I write this post. Has anyone seen this weird behavior or even found a solution ? Can't find something that work on YT/reddit too. Trying another GPU (1070ti EVGA [Miss them already]) -> Didn't work Disable OC on GPU -> didn't work Turning G-Sync on/off -> didn't work Trying different refresh rate (120hz/60hz) -> didn't work DDU and fresh install of drivers (from Geforce now and without) -> didn't work Trying different drivers for both GPU and screen -> didn't work I was thinking about buying a new one since this one might be getting old but I would like to keep it as second monitor to use it while streaming. Ladies and gents, you are my last hope ! Have a very nice day and i wish you a long lasting config without any issue. Here's the full config : CPU : Ryzen 7 5800X stock CPU Cooler : Corsair H115i RGB Platinium Mobo : Asus TUF B550M plus Wifi 2 (Bios is up to date) Ram : Corsair Vengeance Pro SL (RGB) DDR4 3200Mhz 4x8Go Cas 16 GPU : Gigabyte RTX 4070 ti Gaming OC (OC + 1500 on memory and +200 on core STABLE) PSU : Be Quiet Straight power 11 1000W 80+ Gold SSD : Crucial P5 PLUS 2To (windows 11 Home 22H2 22621.1555 64bit) Case : Corsair Crystal 280X White Screen : Acer 27" curved 1080p 144Hz 4ms (ED273A)

First of all I would like to clarify that I have checked other topics about flickering and non were exactly the same as mine and the given solutions either didn't help my case or were obviously not applicable in my situation. With that out of the way back to the issue at hand. My monitor- HP 22x has a weird flickering issue which is present when browsing the internet and sometimes on my desktop itself, but not when playing games (doesn't seem like the game or it's settings matter), or using programs like Blender. The flickering itself is rather odd as its not the entire screen but only a horizontal line near the top that flashes white or black. Sometimes the lines doesn't even go across the entire horizontal axis. Scrolling or staying static on a web page doesn't change or much or how often it flickers. In general it is quite rare, but sometimes it happens multiple times one after another. I have set my monitor at 144Hz (in the settings it says 144,01Hz) and I have it connect to my GPU (GTX 1660 Super) via HDMI cable. The resolution is 1080p if that matters. Freesync is on in the OSD, the monitor has been updated with the latest drivers from the manufacturer, same goes for the GPU. I have tried changing the refresh rate, updating everything and messing around with the OSD settings (in the end had to do a factory reset) and non of this helps! I tried messing around with Chrome settings too- turning on and off both smooth scrolling and hardware acceleration- again neither helped. Also G-Sync option is missing from my control panel but from I have read on this forum I need a display port cable to be using G-Sync with a compatible monitor, which this one claims to be, however I do not want to buy a new game (which is oddly expensive there I live) if that won't help. (Both the computer and monitor are about a week old. All new parts and freshly installed Win10.) Thank you for reading through!

Hello, After switching my i7-7700k out for a Ryzen 7-3700X almost every game I play has vertical lines after launching it in fullscreen (1st picture). After closing the game the lines won't disappear (2nd picture). I have to restart my sytem so my screen will work again. After the stripes appear I can't shut it down and boot it up normally. The stripes would stay. Some games I have succeeded to launch windowed, in which they work. I have Geforce Experience, as well as every other driver installed. This has been bothering me for a while and I couldn't find a solution yet. Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english. Hi all! I recently upgraded my rig to a Gigabyte 2070 Super (new, not refurb or reman) and i9-9700k. With that upgrade I purchased a new monitor, the 27GL850-B, 27" LG 1440p 144hz monitor connected via DisplayPort. I have a second 24" Dell monitor connected via DVI -> HDMI converter. The LG is intermittently and randomly flashing a black screen for a split second. The second monitor is fine. I tried an HDMI cable, yet it still flickers. Its not exclusive to any activity or app running as it flickers even when I'm not gaming or watching a video. Yet there's no pattern or consistency. Sometimes I'll go a full day with no issues, other times (like as I write this) it flickers five times every ten seconds. I'm inclined to believe it's not my GPU, as my second monitor would be flickering as well(?) yet I'm hesitant to return this monitor as I managed to get one with almost zero backlight bleed (IPS perks). EDIT: I take cooling very seriously. My CPU never exceeds 50° and my GPU never exceeds 55° even when playing on Ultra displaying in 2K. What I've done/tried: G-Sync disabled Freesync disabled Smart Energy Disabled HDMI Cable Updated GPU driver System Specs: Problematic Monitor - 27GL850-B (around 160 hours of display time) Unproblematic Second Monitor - Dell S2316M (too many hours of display time) i9-9700k Gigabyte 2070 Super 8GB MSI Z390-A Pro Crucial Ballistix 2x16 EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Samsung 860 Evo SSD Help!! Lately I've been having this weird issue where game windows will keep going on top when minimized. The weird thing is that if you use something like OBS to record the screen, it won't show it (No, it's not window capture. It's screen capture). But the screen still does it. It only happens when having a game window. And it doesn't happen on all windows, but a few. For example on the Windows Settings window, it doesn't happen, but if I go to Google, then it starts happening. You can see a video example here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fp_L5COElsVYon6cJKu12yjA65kcofHQ/view?usp=sharing Ignore background objects. Any kind of help is welcome. Because I just don't have a single clue of why it's happening. Thanks. EDIT: Removing Chrome hardware acceleration seems to have fixed it? For some reason. Still it's weird because that never happened to me until I bought new CPU and RAM. Not sure why it suddenly happens now.

I have both a main monitor and a second monitor. My second monitor does not flicker. The main monitor usually flickers during big movements such as moving tabs but doesn't happen during games. It usually happens during or after using microsoft powerpoint but also randomly (may have a pattern which i don't see) . I tried changing the dp cable but that did not work. I have updated my video drivers twice now from nvidia and still doesn't work. Does anyone know how to fix this? monitor Monitor Is turn on&off with some flickering
Kevin.Sahlstrom posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hello! Since i got so much help last time when I asked about my thermals I tought I might try again with a different issue. So i have 3 monitors hooked up to a 3060Ti (I bought it trough a prebuilt which I then custom rebuilt) and one of my monitors seems to be having this abnormal issue. When i built my new setup a couple of months ago everything seemes to be working without issues. My neighbord reached out and said he had a monitor for sale which he offered a really nice "friend price" on for about 85 dollars. it's a MSI Optix G24C4 and i tought that would look great as 3rd monitor cus i wanted to use one of my previus old monitors for a second setup for when I have friends around. But it seems to have this issue where it flickers on and off sometimes. it's most commonly happening when i'm playing a video on any of my other monitors or when i'm playing games on the faulty monitor and it's only happening on that one. And iv'e tried everything The DP cable was bought the same day i got the monitor so that's very unlikely to be the issue. ive tried reinstalling bios, removing the cmos battery, reinstalling drivers, updating drivers, restarting the monitor or just see if there is any loosenes in the connection or power cable but nothing, So i reached out to my neighbor and he said he had no issues with the monitor before giving it to me and I did confirm that at his place. He is also a bit of a tech guike and he said windows really dosen't like more than one monitor being connected especially not on different connections. I have 2 connected with dp and one with hdmi. 2 of them running at 144hz and the hdmi at 60hz (the 60 is an old monitor so it is running dvi to hdmi. Any help is apriciated ps: I had the same kind of setup running before where i had my main monitor (acer kg251q) and 2 extra monitors running a 1060 system with no issues. I was running it the same way, dvi to hdmi and main with dp. I was running on win 10 and i'm now running on win 11 home -
THE VIDEO I HAVE ATTATCHED HAS FLICKERING. EPILEPSY WARNING! Hi, I have been having very strange issues with my gpu. It is used and my setup is not the most common. It is running in a virtual machine with the host being proxmox and the virtual machine being arch linux I have 8 core deticated to it with 16gb of ram as well. My setup is a remote gaming setup where i use moonlight game stream with sunshine to allow me to play games anywhere. Now the screen is a virtual screen using Xorg tricks to make the driver think it is connected to a screen but I do not think this could be the issue The gpu utilisation in unigine superposition jumps from 70 to 100% constantly and causes the fps to jump from 20 to 40 in the extreme 1080p test. The final score is around ~ 3850 which is much lower then the usual a gtx 1080ti can get. Playing minecraft with shaders also feel choppy but without the insane flickering i get with the unigine benchmarks. I have attatched my dmesg which seems to have some errors but I cannot tell what they are about. Posiibly the gpu but I do not know. I have attatched my xorg.conf and the edid i am using for my virtual display The gpu itself never gets above 68C when gaming for long periods so it cannot be throttling. The gpu is at 1936mhz and it stays there but the gpu utilisation is a bit haywire My nvidia drivers are the latest 470.74 I am running linux kernel 5.14.7 I am using Arch linux Any help would be appreciated gpu1.mp4

My windows menus (start, settings and xbox game bar) start flickering as if there was a key that was held down on my keyboard. I've checked different keyboard and that is not the issue. I've done a quick google search and I tried updating my graphics drivers and stopped Windows Shell Experience Host. Neither of these worked and i am really stumped. I included a video to show what is happening. For reference my specs are : Amd Ryzen 5 1600 Six core Processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti New video.mp4

So I bought a new monitor around July this year when I built my new pc. Some time in November the top 20-25ish percent of the screen started flicker occasionally. It looks to me like a black opaque bar but it may just be fast enough my brain can't tell if its solid. I've tried recording it on my phone to no luck. There will be stretches when it's happening multiple time an hour and then days where it seems to go away. This only happens on my primary monitor which is a M27Q and not my secondary. Here is what I've tried: Unplugging the display cable and plugging it back in (both ends) Changing to an entirely different display cable Changed display ports on my graphics card Turning the monitor on and off Uninstalling/reinstalling display adapters in device manager Reinstalled my gpu Nvidia drivers using the clean install option in GeForce Restarted the pc Shut Down the pc Updated the firmware of the monitor Turning Freesync on and off Changing the monitors refresh rate Updated Motherboard Drivers Specs: CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Motherboard - MSI MPG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard RAM - OLOy WarHawk RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 GPU - EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FTW3 Case - Phanteks Eclipse P500A Cooler - ID-COOLING SE-224-XT Storage - Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2 SSD PSU - EVGA Supernova 650 GT Main Monitor - M27Q (Display Port) Second monitor - AOC Q27G2G4 (Hdmi) Windows 10, version 21H2 64bit I would just have returned/replaced the monitor by now but I work from home, and having 2 monitors is part of my work flow. But the flicking is driving me a bit crazy. So if I have to get it replaced I will, but I want to try all avenues of troubleshooting first. The one possibility I thought of but I haven't tried was reverting my 3060ti to an older driver before November, but I'm not sure if that would be helpful or how to do that. Plus, I'm sure there are other options I haven't thought of. Any input would be of great help. Thanks in advance.

Hello, i have being using my msi with hdmi for the last couple of months with no problems whatsoever, today i upgraded to a gtx 1660 ( from a 970 ) and so i wanted to use the gsync compatibility that comes with this monitor, i bought a display port cable and when i plugged it, the screen kept flickering/going black from time to time, When i turned down the Refresh rate from 144hz to 75Hz the flickering stopped completely ( i tried turning gsync off and it changed nothing) thanks in advance
-
I'm gonna preface this by saying I don't think it's my gpu. I had different display before upgrading my gpu, and I used that monitor for a bit before upgrading the monitor. It also doesn't happen on my second monitor, and seems to happen when running at a lower frame rate rather than when anything gpu intensive is happening. I notice this the most in a 60 locked game like brawlhalla, but it can happen anytime. I am also using the displayport cable that came with my old monitor since my new one only came with hdmi, would that potentially be an issue? I haven't tested it because it happens infrequently enough that I'm not sure how I would compare it. monitor: BenQ ex2780q 27in gpu: zotac 3080

Hi All, I managed to get hold of a 3080ti XC3 Ultra at MSRP which i recieved today. Im having an issue with my Acer x34p monitor where when i try to increase the refresh rate from anything above 60 hz, the monitor acts like its getting an intermitent signal from my pc. This issue only arose when i installed the card My old card (GTX 1080 ti) never encountered this issue. Ive done vbios updates, new drivers for both gpu and monitor, unistalling drivers, cleared cmos, enabled HAGS (aparrently a fix on earlier rtx 30 series cards) but still no luck. Any advice would be welcome before i open up an rma request eith evga Many thanks, DaButterGamer
