Hi, so ive had this issue for ever since i got this PC in 2019 There are Ceiling fans in every room of the apartment, but when my room and the dining hall (right next room) Fan's are turned on/off or change speed with regulator, the monitor on my PC, will turn on and off for a second. i bought a new monitor in 2022, thinking it was my monitor having issues, But issue still stayed. i tested all games i had (not many) and i dont get issues ever, in forza horizon 4. NEVER. But when i play 7 days to die, the screen turned off and on every 4 seconds when i had recording software (adrenalline on RX 580). Turn that off and works fine, unless someone touches the fan switches, When i play halo Anversary collection, same issue in Halo 2. When i fired the scarab gun (skull in halo) i would get my Screen turn off evidence at time stamp 00:14 https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/12lgw1h/wtf_was_this_scream_chief/ i always thought its AMD drivers being bad and GPU overheating, and new the issue with fans but blamed the GPU. now last week i bought an Nvidia Gigabyte RTX 4060ti 8gb windforce 3 GPU for $250 and tried all those games, no flickering. BUT WHEN I TURN ON THE FAN ON AND OFF, monitor turns off.

I’m stuck. I got a second m.2 so I moved over some documents and photos and did a fresh install of Windows 11 on my main drive. System Specs CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D w/ Mugen 5 cooler GPU: ASRock 6800XT Taichi Mobo: MSI B550 Tomahawk RAM: 64GB Corsair 3200MHZ PSU: Thermaltake Grandpower RGB 850W Storage: SK Hynix Platinum 2TB main, just added Intel 670P 2TB The GPU was recently replaced from a recent RMA for Radeon driver crashing issues. The rest of the system was purchased in November/December of last year While the install media ran on my USB, I was playing Rainbow 6 Siege and my screens went green for a second and went back to normal a few times. I did the fresh install shortly after and installed all of my drivers and some games, then the same thing happened but more frequently with some artifacts. Sometimes I lose discord voice audio but not the sound affects like muting and deafening. Sometimes the screens turn green and my PC turns off, but not a green error screen just solid green. I added a photo of one of the event logs. Here’s what I have tried: •The fresh install •Re installing display drivers fatter using DDU •Enabling/Disabling Kombo Strike •Command prompt DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, sfc /scannow, and chkdsk •Changing background and disabling animation •Changing display refresh rates Running games windowed- this seemed to help a little •Windows 10 fresh install after all of this, and the problem persists but not as bad so far I reinstalled Corsair iCUE and while messing with mouse settings the screen flickered once for the first time since this fresh install. I finished messing with settings and uninstalled iCUE to see if that could have been the problem. I switched mice too. I played Deep Rock Galactic and had a quick flicker two times but not bad and no crashes. I have enough extra parts to troubleshoot piece by piece, but I want to see if there are any other solutions or troubleshooting methods to try before tearing it all apart. (R5 1600, Strix X370, 16GB Corsair RAM, Seasonic 750W, Strix 5700XT). pls help

Hello everyone ! here's my issue : My screen is flickering, randomly, without any charge or any type of content to display, even on the windows login screen. It happened a while ago with my "old" 980ti and with this screen. That one time, going back to an older driver resolved the issue but it's back again and with another GPU. This time i've tried everything below and the issue is still here while I write this post. Has anyone seen this weird behavior or even found a solution ? Can't find something that work on YT/reddit too. Trying another GPU (1070ti EVGA [Miss them already]) -> Didn't work Disable OC on GPU -> didn't work Turning G-Sync on/off -> didn't work Trying different refresh rate (120hz/60hz) -> didn't work DDU and fresh install of drivers (from Geforce now and without) -> didn't work Trying different drivers for both GPU and screen -> didn't work I was thinking about buying a new one since this one might be getting old but I would like to keep it as second monitor to use it while streaming. Ladies and gents, you are my last hope ! Have a very nice day and i wish you a long lasting config without any issue. Here's the full config : CPU : Ryzen 7 5800X stock CPU Cooler : Corsair H115i RGB Platinium Mobo : Asus TUF B550M plus Wifi 2 (Bios is up to date) Ram : Corsair Vengeance Pro SL (RGB) DDR4 3200Mhz 4x8Go Cas 16 GPU : Gigabyte RTX 4070 ti Gaming OC (OC + 1500 on memory and +200 on core STABLE) PSU : Be Quiet Straight power 11 1000W 80+ Gold SSD : Crucial P5 PLUS 2To (windows 11 Home 22H2 22621.1555 64bit) Case : Corsair Crystal 280X White Screen : Acer 27" curved 1080p 144Hz 4ms (ED273A)

So in game Squad, after an update I have problem with these clearly visible pixels. They are like lines, problem is when something is far away, it flickers or makes it look blur and so ugly. I know some of you are professionals and know what will make this look normal. Here on photo, on wall where is shadow, you can see it, but it also can be on field and trees. Thank

Hi, I recently bought relatively cheap UW 3440x1440 VA monitor from Huawei which is the Mateview GT, Good UW monitor for the price. I noticed that in some game there is screen flicker specially in bright areas like blue skies and in games like Anno 1800 and Planet Zoo, I dont noticed it in AC Valhalla or Dirt Rally 2.0 Even if frames in mid 80s and 90s which is within freesync range (No LFC) I still notice the flickering. When I turn off the freesync the issue disappears, I didnt notice tearing of increased lag when freesync off. Anyway to reduce flickering? I'm fine keeping Freesync off since I dont notice a change between on and off, but If I can reduce flickering with Freesync on it would be better. Thanks.

Hi! For the past 2-3 months I've been experiencing an issue in multi-monitor mode in Windows 11, every 4 to 5 minutes all my screens will flash with the Windows 11 animation for when you connect a new monitor after which my CPU will spike momentarily to approx. 90% usage (nvidiacontainer.exe is responsible for this spike). This is what it looks like on my screens. And this is what my task manager looks like right after it happens. I've tried several things, from DDU-ing my nvidia drivers and rolling back several iterations, to updating my bios and even reseating the graphics card onto its slot. Everything to no avail. There has been no new software or hardware additions during this period (other than windows and nvidia driver updates), it just randomly started happening after an nvidia update. I have been, however, unable to find any information on this specific bug anywhere on the internet (either that or i suck at googling) which leads me to believe it's an isolated case. If you want to delve deeper into my system specs you can do so here! It's a pastebin where I've compiled the entirety of my dxdiag command output but in summary its: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X Zotac Nvidia 2060 // 511.79 Game ready driver. 16GB @ 3200 mHz RAM. 4 monitors connected and all 4 of them flash. Only happens in multi-monitor mode, Main monitor mode is somehow not affected. Please, any and all input will be very much appreciated, since its an issue that renders my system virtually unusable for a couple seconds very very often. Thank you!

monitor Monitor Is turn on&off with some flickering
Kevin.Sahlstrom posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hello! Since i got so much help last time when I asked about my thermals I tought I might try again with a different issue. So i have 3 monitors hooked up to a 3060Ti (I bought it trough a prebuilt which I then custom rebuilt) and one of my monitors seems to be having this abnormal issue. When i built my new setup a couple of months ago everything seemes to be working without issues. My neighbord reached out and said he had a monitor for sale which he offered a really nice "friend price" on for about 85 dollars. it's a MSI Optix G24C4 and i tought that would look great as 3rd monitor cus i wanted to use one of my previus old monitors for a second setup for when I have friends around. But it seems to have this issue where it flickers on and off sometimes. it's most commonly happening when i'm playing a video on any of my other monitors or when i'm playing games on the faulty monitor and it's only happening on that one. And iv'e tried everything The DP cable was bought the same day i got the monitor so that's very unlikely to be the issue. ive tried reinstalling bios, removing the cmos battery, reinstalling drivers, updating drivers, restarting the monitor or just see if there is any loosenes in the connection or power cable but nothing, So i reached out to my neighbor and he said he had no issues with the monitor before giving it to me and I did confirm that at his place. He is also a bit of a tech guike and he said windows really dosen't like more than one monitor being connected especially not on different connections. I have 2 connected with dp and one with hdmi. 2 of them running at 144hz and the hdmi at 60hz (the 60 is an old monitor so it is running dvi to hdmi. Any help is apriciated ps: I had the same kind of setup running before where i had my main monitor (acer kg251q) and 2 extra monitors running a 1060 system with no issues. I was running it the same way, dvi to hdmi and main with dp. I was running on win 10 and i'm now running on win 11 home -
Specs: i7-12700K MSI Z690-a Pro DDR4 AMD RX 6700 XT 2x16GB DDR4 3200 850w PSU So this is a very new build, a little over a week old at this point. Everything seems to run fine from startup, but if the computer sleeps and I wake it my background and cursor flicker and the cursor resets to the center of the screen as seen below in this video. https://imgur.com/a/pTECIaT What is weird is that the desktop icons and taskbar don't flicker and so I'm not thinking its GPU related. I have been trying to find anyone that has had this issue and how they resolved it for the last few days.

HI, i recently bought a second monitor(which is now my main monitor), the gigabyte G24F, and it works really well, but it has one problem, it disconnects and reconnects in some scenarios, to be more specific, the monitor is connected to my pc by displayport, when i change to another input like hdmi nothing happens, but when i change back to displayport my pc acts like there's only one monitor for a second, but it reconnects almost immediately, the same thing happens when i turn off the monitor and the turn it on, and something very similar happens whenever I alt tab when I'm playing a fullscreen game. I don't know why this is happening , in the past I had connected another monitor and i had no issue(to be more especific, the second monitor that i had connected was a samsung tv, and the main monitor, that is now my secondary monitor, was a samsung monitor). I have checked everywhere and i can't find a solution to my problem, and i have tried everything, I have every diver updated, i even deleted the display adapterd driver and downloaded it again. My pc is running windows 10 64 bit GPU: gtx 970 CPU: i5 4430 Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 GAMING (bios is updated) ram: 8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz PSU: 750 evga 80plus bronze

Whenever my PC is under heavy load, the screen flickers (see attached video). I first started seeing this about a week ago, as individual screen blinks maybe once a gaming session. Since then, the intensity of the flickers has increased, although this amount of flickering is still rare. A friend of mine said that this is just a graphics card glitch, and can be solved by restarting my computer. This approach tends to work sometimes, but it takes an different amount of restarts every time. I would also like to mention that my PC's thermals are... iffy to say the least. My CPU goes from about 35 degrees to 50 while idle, and up to 60 when under load. My GPU's temps never exceed 63. However, I do not think that this is the problem, as my friend says that this is a safe range to be in. Another thing that might be of interest is that my CPU's usage is very high while when doing non intensive tasks (the highest I've seen was 80% while idling). I'll cut to the chase: is this screen flickering issue a problem, and if so, are there any fixes? Hi, Planning to get Samsung G9 but online feedback about QC is horrendous, flickering, leaks...etc and it seems to be more hardware than software. My local shop told me that the unit he has is manufactured in Oct where samsung already recalled all G9 and produced new versions with no issues. Is this right?

My second monitor uses DVI while my main uses HDMI (if that matters). How can I fix this?? I used both MSI and Radeon software.

I am new to overclocking and I was hoping to overclock my gpu to get more fps in cyberpunk 2077. I have a GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti XTREME Edition 11GB DDR5X 352-bit and I got it stable with core voltage and power at max, +11 on gpu core clock and +300 Mhz on memory, custom fan curve. I tried playing games and everything was working fine. The next day I was reading something on the web and I see a weird flicker, going to a white screen for a brief moment like it was refreshing the screen. I thought it was unstable memory oc lowered it and still random flickering kept coming then I tried without any oc and the flicker was still there. I didn't know what to do and just left it without the oc. Now it is the next day and I tried to close msi afterbuner and the flicker is still there, I uninstalled msi afterbuner didn't solve the problem used ddu in safe mod didn't solve the problem. I tested with 3d mark spy time demo and I don't see any problem, but I didn't play much since it happened so I can't be 100% sure that there is no problem but from what I can see now it only happens if the gpu isn't under load. I don't know what else to do and I am thinking I just damaged my gpu, but from what I understand this is not so easy to do.

My Samsung QN55Q7FN TV randomly started flickering just the other day. I've checked connections, changed hdmi cables, full power resets. Nothing seems to work. Has anyone had this issue? I've heard removing rear panel and cleaning internal connections works but unsure. Figured this community would be best to help. Thank you

The screen goes black for 1-2 seconds and comes back on. And on the top left it says "Displayport 1" or "HDMI 1" or 2 depending on the port I'm using. This happens completely at random whether it's in game or on the desktop screen. -The entire system has been replaced -the gpu has been RMA'd three times. -windows 11 has been reinstalled numerous times. -I reinstalled the graphics drivers countless amount of times. -I've kept the drivers up to date. -I have replaced the displayport cable 4 times, each time with a new cable. VESA certified displayport 1.4 cables, once with a displayport 2.0 cable to see if that would work. -I have gone through 3 NEW monitors. -I have used different displayport ports on my gpu. -I have turned off gsync. -it happens with hdr on and hdr off. -it has been plugged into the wall, and into a 1000 watt uninterruptable power supply. My PC is an Origin PC with an RTX 3080, AMD Ryzen 9 5950x with an ASUS B550 UNIFY motherboard and 32 GB of Ram. This same problem persisted on a completely separate machine. I've experienced this issue for a year and I'm at my wit's end. This issue has caused me immense stress and anxiety that I've been getting ready to give up so I'm posting this out of desperation.

I bought a brand new 3440x1440p MSI display today. It flickers, goin kinda white (not all the screen) super fast, quite often, multiple times a minute. It only does this at the native res (3440x1440). When i lower res it doesnt flicker. Ive checked the cables, refreshrate, and other guides online. I think its wierd that it only does this on the native res. If any of you smart people can help me understand this, i would love to thank you.

Recently upgraded my computer from a 2070 Super to a 3080. before swapping any parts out I was having stuttering issues, but I wanted to upgrade anyways so I decided to just upgrade the whole system minus the RAM. When I got the pc put together and loaded everything up I was still getting the stuttering on an entirely new version of windows. I tried games with and without audio and the stuttering still persisted. I tried turning XMP on and off, still got the stutters. To top it all off, when I swapped back to XMP, my screen flickered black while I was playing V Rising, freezing the game, discord, and even my google chrome. I wasn't 100% sure if this was GPU related or RAM related since I swapped the XMP back. GPU also randomly spikes to 100% sometimes and drops back down? I would honestly appreciate any advice, whether it be what programs to run for testing or even any ideas that you guys could come up with. would also be important for me to add that I play all games at 3440 x 1440, so not sure if any software recommended would need to support that res or not to get an accurate representation of statistics? Debated on RMA'ing the card, but I want to be certain first. I'll also add here that the temps on the CPU hit 70C tops, but that's in games where it has to load a lot in such a Project Zomboid or something, otherwise it hits maybe 50-60c. GPU hits around 70-75C. my specs are as follows: Windows 10 Home Edition 64 bit MSI MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 ATX LGA 1700 MOTHERBOARD Intel i7 12700KF (currently have it running on default, so it's just boost clocked but not on BIOS Game Mode) 2 x 16 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4-3200 running on XMP EVGA Geforce RTX 3080 12GB LHR FTW3 ULTRA GAMING (running at stock) Corsair MP600 Pro XT 1TB M.2-2280 NVME (boot drive, but everything else goes on it as well) Corsair RMx (2021) 1000W 80+ Gold

Searching for a monitor that I can use for productivity, mostly programming. Need a big monitor, no smaller than a 27'', no smaller than 1440p which I can also game on so I'll need a minimum of 120hz. I've found this BenQ monitor that seems to tick all boxes. Just that doing research, I've read that if response time too low and refrershrate too high can actually make productivity more difficult by putting more eyestrain on things like reading text for hours compared to a much "worse" performing monitor. Most results seem to indicate no less than 5ms should be fine for eyes reading text all day long. The question is, can I customise this monitor with easily swappable profiles? Let's say I play a game with default stuff, 2ms delay, 144hz but the moment I need to work, I switch the profile on the monitor that limits the hz to lets say 75 and slows down the monitor to 5ms so there's less flicker. Is that how that works? Does the monitor allow for such features? I have a 3 button controller from a BenQ 240hz monitor, is the 3 button controller for other BenQ monitors supported? Such a headache trying to find a monitor that can do both office work and gaming from time to time. I'd rather have one setup do both than have to fall back on one monitor for productivity and another for games.

Hi! Short: Laptop flickers purple&green ish on the bottom part of the screen. (Between 1/8th to 1/4th of the screen.) This happens when connecting a HDMI cable into the port or sometimes when starting Windows. I have a laptop that is acting up from time to time. From time to time the screen randomly starts flickering on the bottom part of the screen. (This happens when starting up the system and when connecting an external monitor into the HDMI output.) Otherwise everything works fine. I've tried reinstalling all drivers, launching safe mode and removing all drivers to reinstall older ones, reinstalled windows and installed recommended drivers. After starting up the PC everything works fine except the external monitor output which doesn't show any display output. (Everything except the screen showing stuff works.) I've tried diffirent cables without success. It reads the properties and i can move the things to the second screen but not see anything on it. (On HDMI display.) Edit: Can move stuff to the other screen on HDMI, tho it doesn't show anything on the screen. Screen is also detected in all graphics settings.

Hi, I'm Karín, I'm new on this forum and got recommended to try my luck asking here. My computer recently stopped working (it wouldn't even boot the BIOS, so we determined it was probably the Motherboard or CPU after testing a few things). So 2 weeks ago I bought new hardware and took the chance to upgrade: a CPU (Ryzen 3200G), Motherboard (MSI a320m-a pro) and RAM (corsair value select 8GB 2333 CL 15). Every game I try to run crashes with some sort of message like "Graphics device crashed" (this one I get on Monster Hunter World). CSGO freezes, Destiny 2 crashes too and so on. I tested with a clean Windows 10 install and got the latest BIOS and chipset drivers. I also get a random screen flicker rarely, except on Discord, where I I get them to happen a lot, mostly when scrolling up or down enough (but that one is just on that tab, so it's probably a different kind of problem right there). I also stopped getting any signal to the screen once when I was trying to watch a Twitch stream, which not long after ended as the signal being lost to all peripherals, though that never happened again so far. I refunded all the hardware and got a identical setup (made sure it wasn't the same one). The exact same thing happens. This happens with both my dedicated Graphics card (R9 270x 4GB) and the integrated Vega as well (with the R9 removed from the system and a clean driver install, even a run with a clean Windows installation just to make sure). I tried following a couple guides to fix this issue online (including some dealing with the bugged AMD Chipset Driver installer) to no avail. Attached is a screenshot of a Cinebench test along with HWMonitor.
