TUF x570 wifi Ryzen 7 5800x I am having issues with the chip getting very hot. I have heard this is common with this chip but I don't want to end up destroying anything. Anyone have any fixes to the chip idling around 30 to 40c when the load is very minimal. PLaying COD it says the system is 40 percent load and the temp is between 60 and 70c. Just seems to high. BIOS update? Voltage settings? Any other solutions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Budget (including currency): Country: Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): So I have a new gaming PC that I am about to build. I have an SSD with the OS and all my drivers and games and everything already on it. Would I be able to plug it right in to my new build and have it boot up perfectly fine like the Pre Built I am taking it out of? I am using the Same GPU from the prebuilt as well so the drivers for that are also already on that SSD I mentioned. New parts will be everything with the exception of the RTX 2080 and if this works the SSD otherwise all other parts and components will be brand new. Any advice how to create a bootable USB of Windows? Thanks for any and all help, apologies for the rookie questions. Thanks to all!!!

I have had a stuttering issue for a few months now. Whenever I play games, even easy ones (i.e. Rocket League, Minecraft, and The Escapists 2), once per session of gaming somewhere between 2-4 hours in, I will have a hard stutter. It will last about 5 seconds, and I have left the task manager open to see if I could see what the problem was, but nothing was out of place. I updated to the newest bios, newest graphics driver, and Windows 11. I even got an RMA for my GPU. Nothing has helped. My next step is to try different RAM and replace the thermal paste on my CPU. After that, I honestly don't have a clue what to do. First PC I've had. It has a 5900X with a 3080ti. Another thought was possibly power supply because I only have a 750W, but from what I've read, that shouldn't cause the stutter. Any help is welcome, thank you!! (If you need more info about specs, ask me in the comments:) )

Budget (including currency): around 100000 NRs (Nepalese currency) Country: Nepal Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: computer engineering, music production(though i am just starting out, and i only make minimalistic beats right now) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): i am going to buy in about 9-10 months, i am upgrading from a Intel i3-4005U (4) @ 1.700GHz as CPU and Intel Haswell-ULT as GPU and 8 gigs of ram, i changed from a 4gig ram to a 8 gig one recently, i have 1tb HDD and 120gb SSD. What should i change from a practical view and also from an economical view, so that it works great within my budget. Though, i have to say, i can probably get by with less RAM and storage for about a year and then upgrade to better ones. Also, i use linux and intend to continuing using, if that plays any role in pc-building. I am somewhat good with tech, but i donot know anything, not even the most common knowledge when it comes to pc-buiilding, so forgive me if i ask stupid questions or picked stupid components.

Hello everyone! As you can see from the title i am a first time builder. Some Info: im building this PC mainly for 3D work/ animation in Autodesk Maya, Illustrator, and After Effects. From time to time i will be using this PC to play a few games at 1440p 60 fps at medium to medium low settings. Some of these games include Outlast II and a few AAA titles. My budget for this PC was at $2,160 USD. i will also be buying these parts from the US. What i really want to know is: Are all the Parts Compatible? and Is there anything i should change to make this run better? Hello! I am looking for some help on figuring out my case fan quality. I am working with Cooler Master SickleFlow Fans. Link: https://www.newegg.com/cooler-master-mfx-b2dn-18npa-r1-case-fan/p/N82E16835103300?Item=N82E16835103300 Im having an issue where the ones that i have mounted horizontally at the top of my case for air exhaust are vibrating and seem to want to fall right off the center housing. The ones that i have mounted Vertically run perfect at any RPM range but the horizontal ones start to vibrate at around 85-100% power. Is there a way to solve this or am i stuck getting higher quality fans for the horizontal mounting? Appreciate any help!

1. Budget & Location For this build Im ballparking $1500 - $2000 USD. Given that ive got nothing else to really do in some places ill be going to, I dont mind "investing" in higher performance at the cost of a few pretty pennies. location is a bit tricky due to being active duty military overseas Scheduled to change location every year or so. 2. Aim the system is going to be used for mainly heavy gaming. anywhere from first person shooters to league of Legends. id like to be confident that the build can withstand whatever I can throw at it without it spitting fire (Cisco is the devil BTW). anyways...I would like to be able to use programs like vmware and packet tracer to practice my job from "home". Web browsing is also a must. their are times when leaving home isnt an option (i watch a lot of series/movies online). For the monitor I have a Samsung 28" U28H750 QLED UHD 4K Monitor with 1 ms response time, Quantum Dot, and FreeSync. I aim for "ultra" Res on everything but thats most likely not gonna cut it for what i got and my price range. as far as peripherals i dont need any i have keyboards and a mouse or two somewhere. 5. Why are you upgrading? to rid myself of using my gaming laptop to much I look forward to seeing what replies i can get. also a recommendation as to where i can browse a selection of cases would be awesome. Id like to stay mid size and i definitely cannot have all sides tempered glass. this tower will be moving with me wherever i go.

Hey guys, I'm a first time PC builder, I've been involved with tech my entire life, I'm a computer science major, you get the idea, I have all the other parts for my system already picked out and purchased, but I'm having a hard time deciding between a new R9 390 or 390x or a used Titan X. The 390 or 390x would cost me around 300-340, the used Titan X would cost me 630. I love the Titan X, it'd be a dream to own one even though the 1080 is coming out soon, but it'd pretty much clean me out to buy save for around 200 dollars. The 390 would leave me about 400 after all is said and done. I'm going to buy whichever card will give me the best performance, what would you suggest?

Hello, Ive been Doing some Research and asking around on the web about suggested parts for a New gaming pc build this is my current lineup of parts, hoping for some feed back from anyone with experience, http://pcpartpicker.com/p/sjkpdC P.s Im thinking about scaling the video card back a tad to the MSI 970 4G for a more cost / performance mind set , is the 980TI really worth the X2 cost ?

Hi guys, I am about to buy parts and build my own PC, roughly within the £1200 budget. I want to use a MSI Gefore GTX 970, and an i7 6700k, and both an SSD and HDD, in the phantks Evolv atx case, and that's as far as I can get before all the components start to confuse me, could anyone suggest the best remaining parts to use?? thankyou in advance,

This is my first time building a PC. I live in Ireland and would like to get something between 800-950 euro. I originally was thinking of a 970 and an intel 4690k but quickly realised that I didn't have enough for something like that. Right now I'm between a 960 and a 760 as they're both pretty good midrange cards but I'm wondering if I could get something even better for my money and if Im necessarily getting bang for buck. This is what Im planning on. Id love some feedback. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/UnofficialPotato/saved/#view=YLsWGX

High performance gaming build, 970, H440, 4790K
siggnegger posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hi guys, thinking about building my own computer. I want it to work in gaming (and web-browsing, school work etc.), and preferably I want it to be sorta future-proof, although I know that's hard. I live in Norway so prices are a bit higher, so I'd say my budget is a little over 1800 dollars. I already have a decent monitor, and I don't need any more peripherals than those I list below. The parts I'm thinking about using: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/siggnegger/saved/CwfxFT (The Norwegian site I am gonna use for ordering parts: https://www.komplett.no/k/shoplist.aspx?mode=receive&si=1428084&su=7F5A104D-C952-4708-9190-A4B748BAAF65 (My budget is 16000 NOK.) My main concerns are: 1, and most important: Airflow and cooling. With two pretty demanding air cooling units, the NHD-15 and the MSI-graphic, I know getting enough air for the components is vital. I'm probably gonna overclock it. I was thinking about replacing the three stock 120mm NZXT-fans with three NF-F12s intake-fans in front, and mounting two Noctua Redux NF-P14s in the top together with the stock NZXT fan in the back as exhaust. The reason for choosing Redux-fans is because they look much better for this build (IMO). This will result in a slighlty negative airflow, how will this affect the system? I am a very tidy person, and I clean the room the computer is going to be in weekly, and I could easly add cleaning the dust filters to my weekly routine ( ) 2. Visuals. I want the computer to look awesome. I was thinking about ordering some stickers to put on the side panels, do any you guys know if this is gonna work, and if so, where should I order them? Other than that I could use some help in deciding wether these components would look good together. 3. How will these components work together?- 5 replies
