  1. I took the input from you guys and reading reviews to create this build. Mainly going to be playing games like MSFS, STALKER, Arma, DCS. Did I miss anything important or did I do a good job of combining suggestions and reading reviews? 2. Hello! I've recently changed my pc from a Mid Tower ATX to an ITX build since ill be moving it into the living room when I move in a couple of months. I chose the Hyte Revolt 3 and I've been very happy with it so far. I also used the chance to switch from Intel to AMD. Here are some system specs for the following questions: CPU : Ryzen 5 7600 GPU : Gigabyte 2080 Super windforce OC Mobo : Asus Strix B650E-I Gaming Wifi 550 W PSU and the Hyte Revolt 3 case Windows 11 I have done a bunch of PC builds and fixes before, but this is the first time I'll be trying myself at custom watercooling. Now I have mostly 3 questions. 1. How do I fill the loop in the safest way? 2. Is the pump power enough to cool both CPU and GPU? (Restricted on space so I can't fit a dedicated pump and reservoir.) 3. Are there any obvious incompatibilities/ missing pieces in the following list of components? Be quiet! Silent Wings 4 140mm 2x Alphacool Eisbaer solo 2600rpm Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper 280mm Radiator V.2 Alphacool Eisblock ES Acetal RTX 2080/2080Ti M02 (2070/80 Super) Alphacool HF 13/10 Fitting G1/4 x6 Alphacool EPDM Tube 13/10 - Black 3m Alphacool Thermal pad double-sided 100x100x0,5mm I know it might be a little overkill to also cool the Ryzen 5 with the same loop since it's running fine with the stock cooler, but I wanted this as a little challenge and learning exercise for a future water-cooled build that's gonna be a little more ambitious, as well as making the system as silent as possible (The 2080 Super gets quite loud...). Thank you very much for any help in advance!
  3. Budget (including currency): 2000€ Country: Bulgaria Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I would like to be able to play MS Flight Simulator 2020, Forza Horizon 5, CoD Warzone, Elden Ring, RedDead2, Path of Exile, Diablo 2 Ressurected, Latest Total War game, Mount & Blade 2, Fallout 4, Witcher 3 etc. at 1440p, maxed settings at a stable 60+ fps or even better. On the side I would also like to be able to stream from time to time, since I already do that for my Blood Bowl 2 games. It would be great if I could also be able to stream PoE, Diablo, WoW, or other games I find interesting between BB matches. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I've managed to get myself a second hand 3080 Ti SUPRIM X model and I hope I could pair it up with a 7800x3d when they are available in local stores near me. I currently have 3 dell 1080p monitors that run @60hz and I'll be looking to get a 120+hz 1440p monitor in order to take advantage of the beefy card I managed to get my hands on. Any advice for the monitor will be appreciated! I guess that flicker free, low responce time and HDR capable are the things I'd like to have, if it is at all possible. It would be fun if I could keep all four monitors plugged in. I don't know if I need a special case or motherboard for that. I have no knowledge regarding power supplies, fans, cases, ram or motherboards, so I will need recommendations for all of those. I would like to be able to get fast ram, at least 32GB of it, a quality power supply (i'd rather spend a bit more and sleep soundly), fans that are as quiet as possible and a case that is easy for cleaning, has good air flow and has a dust filter (the air quality in my area is horrible, so I imagine I'll have to clean it every month or so). I am willing to spend more for quality products that are built to last. As a side note, it would be great to to have a many USB ports for various devices: 1) keyboard, mouse, controller (currently those 3 run on a single USB hub on my laptop, dunno if that is a good practice) 2) a webcam 3) an external microphone 4) flight stick or racing wheel (probably only one of those connected at a time, since I rarely use the flight stick) 5) external hard drive 6) USB DAC that I use to connect my headphones while using the audio out for my speakers 7) a free port that can be used to connect my phone when I need to transfer lots of files This is the build that was suggested to me back in april: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/f9HRrD I'm finally ready to splash the cash for this bad boy, so are there any last minute changes I should make with all of the information that has come out over the last few months?

  5. Budget (including currency): lets say 2000€, but I can be flexible Country: Bulgaria Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I would like to be able to play MS Flight Simulator 2020, Forza Horizon 5, CoD Warzone, Elden Ring, Path of Exile, Diablo 2 Ressurected, Latest Total War game, Mount & Blade 2, Fallout 4, Witcher 3 etc. at 1200p, maxed settings at a stable 60+ fps or even better. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Currently I'm using a 2016 gaming laptop that has a i7-7700hq, 16gb ram and nvidia1060 3gb. It has served me very well, still does the job for old titles and I can even stream BB2 on it with subpar quality. Besides that I have three Dell U2415 monitors (1900x1200p 60hz) that I use for gaming, listening to twitch/youtube and work from home. However, if I manage to get myself a solid modern setup I am open to upgrading one of those to a 1440p 120hz display that I can dedicate to gaming. The dell monitors are very good for my day job, but aren't exactly intended for gaming and I don't have a gaming use case that uses all three of them in a ultra-ultra wide resolution. I've never built a PC before, I've only used laptops for the last 10-11 years. I would like to get a desktop this time, since I've read that laptop hardware has been lagging behind desktop variants once again and also me and my friends don't do LAN parties any longer, so mobility isn't much of an issue anymore. I have spent some time over the last couple of weeks reading about current AMD, Nvidia and Intel products in order to educate myself on their price to performance capabilities, but I have no knowledge regarding power supplies, fans, cases, ram or motherboards, so I still have a lot to learn on that front. I would like to be able to get fast ram, at least 32GB of it, a quality power supply (i'd rather spend a bit more and sleep soundly), fans that are as quiet as possible and a case that is easy for cleaning, has good air flow and has an dust filter. I have no idea how much all of these titbits will ramp up the cost of the rig, but that's why I specified that can be flexible with my budget. I am willing to spend more for quality products that are built to last. (also my laptop has a fucked up fan and sounds like a helicopter, so anything quieter than that will be a godsend!) At first I was eyeing AMD's products, since they have very good price to performance ratio, but I do appreciate the integrated graphics that intel CPUs have (I know you can run one of your monitors off of it and it can also keep the machine usable if the dedicated card goes under), their slighly better single core performance and I've read that the extra hardware chip that nvidia 3000 series cards have is a great advantage to have when streaming from a single machine. So I've been really conflicted in deciding if something like 5800x or i5-12600k would be better for CPU and if a 6800XT or a 3080 would be best for gaming + streaming, since it seems that the 3080 is always more expensive and amounts to less FPS in 1080 and 1440p gaming (non-Ray Tracing), but it should handle both tasks better than the 6800xt. Funnily enough, yesteday I found a refurbished GAINWARD GEFORCE RTX 3080 PHOENIX V1 (LHR) 1952 for "only" 782 € from a shop near my home, which is much lower than any other 3080 that's sold in my country (they usually start at more than 900€). I've consulted this tracker: https://www.gputracker.eu/en/search/category/1/graphics-cards/facet/2/graphics-chip/nvidia-rtx-3080 and it shows that in EU 820€ is currently the lowest available price (which doesn't include shipment costs to Bulgaria). Would you guys say if this price is good for a 3080 considering the 4000 series will probably be much more expensive, run hotter and have higher power requirements? In general, is this a product that is worth building around or should I sit still and wait for black friday sales? Or maybe even longer? Should I wait to see what kind of cards the 7800 and 4080 are going to be? I've seen that the newest generation of cpus and GPUs have a bit of a performance boost over the last one, but they also have a higher price, higher power requirements and AFAIK a 3080 or 6800 should be good enough to run modern games in 100+ fps in 1440 which is the absolute maximum I would expect right now. I don't plan on going to 4k yet as I expect it to make things much more expensive. P.S. I have 2 SSDs in my laptop that I could transfer over to a new machine in order to remove the cost of buying new storage right now. Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB & Force MP510 960.1 GB.

  7. Budget (including currency): $800 Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: - Civ 6 - Cities Skyline - Web development, image processing Other details: No peripheral needed. Need wifi. Hi everyone! I'm attempting my very pc build and this forum seems to be the place to go. I play only a few hours a month of gaming but when I do I like to have at least some decent graphics (my laptop just isn't doing it right). I'm quite overwhelmed with all the stuff that I need to learn and the complexity of it all. But I came up with a build and since I know nobody who can tell me whether or not it will fly, I decided to post it here and get other people to review it for me. CPU: AMD RYZEN 5 3400G 4-Core 3.7 GHz - $313 CAD Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX - $159.99 CAD RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) - $99 CAD SSD: Western Digital WD BLACK SN750 NVMe 500GB - $84.99 CAD PSU: EVGA 400 N1 100-N1-0400-L1 400W Power Supply - $49.99 CAD CASE: Cougar MX330-X Mid Tower Case - $49.99 CAD Total: $794.40 CAD (with shipping) The reason why I went with the Ryzen 5 3400G is because it seems to give me decent enough graphics for what I would use it to and it bypass my need to find a graphic card...which are very difficult to find. Thoughts?
  8. Budget (including currency): INR 60,000 Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Basic gaming in 1080p, 60 Hz. Not looking for higher resolutions. Other details I want to build a PC to replace an existing one that refuses to even boot at this point. That system has two hard drives and a CD drive that I would like to retain in my new build. I am looking to build something for a basic gamer in mind. Not competitive in any way, just explorative gaming. I have only gamed on a PS4 before and Captain Claw on PC (for those who remember it). I need to buy the case and all the components in it. I plan on retaining the existing screen and other peripherals. The peripherals I have are an LG 24MP88HV IPS LED monitor, a Logitech K120 keyboard and Logitech M235 mouse. This is my first build and I am looking for parts that will not cause too much trouble to put together and will last me a while. I do not want to put in a graphics card as of right now and am willing to wait to purchase one. But would like to be able to do that in the future whenever I choose to buy one. I am looking to buy all of my components from amazon.in since it is the most reliable platform that I could find in India. I settled on the following parts. Please let me know if these are compatible and a good fit for my needs. Processor: Intel i5 11500 (BX8070811500) - INR 20,890 Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B560M-Plus WiFi with the LGA 1200 socket (‎90MB1770-M0EAY0) - INR 14,400 Power Supply: GIGABYTE GP-P450B 80 Plus Bronze - INR 2,346 RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200MHz CL16 - INR 6,261 Boot Drive: Crucial P5 Plus 500GB PCIe 4.0 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD (CT500P5PSSD8) - INR 8,954 Case: Corsair Carbide Series CC-9011050-WW Mid-Tower - INR 3,258 Total: INR 56,109 As I mentioned before, I have a CD drive and 2 hard drives that I need to fit in to this build. I would also like to buy a graphics card when it is available at a reasonable rate in the future (like an RTX 3050). I am not looking for any LED lights or an AIO for now, a stock cooler should suffice as long as the case is okay. Are the parts I have chosen suitable for my needs? Also, is there a way I can use my old windows license on this new PC? PS: links are in the textfile attached PC Parts.txt
  9. I wasn't sure where to post this so hopefully this section of the forums is correct. Budget (including currency): N/A Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly for work, gaming here and there and just overall anything Other details: I just got myself a pre-built pc. I've always wanted to build one since early 2000's because my last desktop was a Compaq presario from mid 90's to 02-ish? So that died and I had to get something quickly as an alternative so I ended getting an old/used Dell inspiron from a local pawnshop. Served me a few extra years until that died around 07. By this time cellphones was getting "smarter" and that's pretty much all I've used since until now and I always wanted to build a pc but never got around to it. With this being said, I am completely out of the loop when it comes to PC spec talks. I've been watching many many videos about everything related in general or to a particular component. Some things are still a blur too as I'm trying to figure out if my current configuration if it's up to par or if any needs to be changed. The reason I went with pre-built was due to getting a GPU and to have a overall starting point. Ofcourse it's not the same as fully building one but if I did my research correctly, my pc has room for improvements. I got the pre-built from bestbuy and here is the link for it: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/skytech-gaming-shiva-gaming-pc-desktop-amd-ryzen-5-5600x-16g-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3060-ti-1tb-nvme-120mm-aio-white/6482938.p?skuId=6482938 This build appealed to me as it fit the budget (was hoping for a 3080 but those builds was too much) and after seeing the product pictures and costumer review pictures, I knew I was getting a pc built somewhat shot from the hip as the listing itself didn't specify some brands that where being installed, just the basic keywords to grab attention and sells. So I finally received my pc two days ago which I have yet to start up. Did an A-Z check through to see if anything is loose or over tightened (which some screws were) cleaned up the cables a bit amd did some research now that I have it and able to tell what exactly I payed for. I've tried setting up the list on pcpartpicker but some parts are incorrect as It's not listed; https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ :Parts list: In Win 101 case 3x In Win Jupiter AJ120 fans In Win P65F 650w non-modular PSU (Not shown in partpicker) 120mm AIO that really looks like a clone of NZTX Kraken but with a skytech logo on glass display AMD Ryzen 5600x Asus prime b550-plus ac-hes (I've trying searching for "ac-hes" meaning and cannot find anything about it, not even in asus site about this Mobo. And also partpicker doesn't have it) 2x8gb XPG GAMMIX ddr4 @3200 cl16 MSI M370 1tb NVME M.2 (partpicker doesn't have it and Google doesn't show it) Gigabyte eagle OC 3060ti I've tried to get as close as possible to what I have on pcpartpicker and I have a warning; Warning! The Asus PRIME B550-PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard supports the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor with BIOS version 1004. If the motherboard is using an older BIOS version, upgrading the BIOS will be necessary to support the CPU. So i searched for this and looked at some videos, many comments are saying not to do this because it's irreversible and bad. I'm concerned if it was already done to it or not and I'm not sure if that warning is legit or I have overlooked something. I'm trying to see what parts is upgradable as is currently stands. I know the 120AIO needs to go for a 240 atleast and some extra fans as this case isn't the best for flow unless I'm overthinking Please help this n00b out! Thank you

  11. Hi! Thank you for stopping by, I've just saved up a little for my first gaming pc build, and am very lost in terms of best value + compatibility. Have been playing on a 10 year old computer my entire life so would just like to join my friends and play games without having to worry if I can run it at all let alone smoothly. After doing some research, this is what I currently have : Budget : approx 2100 AUD (1.5k USD), happy to go ~250 AUD more if there's worth performance wise Country: Australia, West Coast Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Hoping for most games at 1080/1440, mainly FPS - CS:GO, Valorant, Apex, R6, Dead by Daylight, Minecraft, Steam Games : Modded Starbound + Terraria, Rust Current Part List : -----> here!!! <------- **the 3060ti is 1090$ from mwave right now instead of 1190$ Other: my current part list is a little over budget so would love alternative part recommendations. Happy to change to a 20 series GPU as I understand my requirements aren't that high, but my friends have warned about them not being worth compared to 30 series, and end of life considerations, as well as there being minimal stock in Australia. I am currently buying from amazon + mwave as I have found them to be cheaper, along with more stock and free shipping. But other major suppliers like scorptec and ple I trust as well. Monitors: Would appreciate suggestions for a budget twin-screen set-up, one for gaming @144hz, either 1080/1440p depending on the game, and one for lesser general use I don't really mind specs for (discord, web-browsing, spotify) I am hoping to buy ASAP as I am tired of getting 20-50fps in games, but from my (little) understanding the GPU market is mad overpriced right now, so can be patient if any major changes will happen within the next couple months. Sorry if this post has been hard to read due to my lack of knowledge I have done quite a bit of research but get easily lost and frustrated, trying to understand everything coming from minimal computer knowledge into a world of specifics, numbers and compatibility. I greatly appreciate any advice given thank you very much

  13. Budget (including currency): $1200 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: VR Gaming Other details: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NdJrgt Hello I'm new here and building my first PC. I don't know which AIO would be the best option for what I have or if I'd be better off with an air cooler. I haven't picked a case yet because I want a case that will work best with my components instead of making them fit a case.
  14. Budget (including currency): €400-500 (can push this a little if really needed) Country: Ireland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Light gaming like Stardew Valley or Undertale, Minecraft at most. I don't expect to run AAA games on it. Music editing. Light video editing (?). College work/writing. Basic streaming - VTuber esque systems that require a facecam (this isn't a dealbreaker and can be excluded if needs be!) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm a total newbie at this - I know the basics of building a PC - I've watched AustinEvans and Linus for some time now, but like, in terms of peripherals, I'm perfectly fine with a standard monitor. Due to limited space I'll only ever be able to really accommodate one monitor. I don't have a monitor currently, nor do I have a good mouse and keyboard, the ones I have are decent, but some nicer ones would be a bonus! I have a headset. Heyo! I'm new to the whole building area and haven't a clue really, bar the few attempts I made when I was in my earlier teens to draw up plans for a computer. In terms of this computer, it's really a daily driver with some extras, yknow? Like, it's for me to do college work at home, as well as leisure, music editing, light gaming etc. My budget/wants may be very unrealistic so please do tell me if it is, or advise otherwise! I'd appreciate it a lot! Unfortunately space is limited here too as I'm working from a small bedroom, so maybe something of a micro tower would be more appropriate, but I will leave that to you guys! RGB isn't a deal breaker and I can certainly live without. Thank you and stay safe! Indigo P.S. do I also have to buy an operating system or...?

I finally have saved a nice chunk of money and I'm planning on buying a pc with it. So I have been watching reviews and guides on the new tech that is available now, and have assembled a pc on pc parts picker. Still the fact this is my first build I'd love some feedback on the components I picked and what I could change and improve. Also maybe some suggestions on a case. I love big bulky cases. My friend bought an alienware in 2008ish and the case was amazingly cool. Think it was an Alienware Aurora 2012 Thanks for all the help and keep up the great work! I know the gpu is way underpowerd, but i'm buying a second hand gpu while I wait for the new amd line to come out. So advice on what amd gpu would be the best would be appreciated. 16. hello. i've been trying to fix the issue for so long and it's really irritating, i accideantly deleted my network driver for my aorus h370 pro gaming wifi rev1 motherboard, after so, i noticed a decline in internet speed so i check and my internet link speed was at 100/100 instead of 1000/1000, i went to aorus support website and download LAN driver Intel LAN driver (Note) Win10 ver.2004 supported. [2‎5.1] 6‎2.80 MB 2‎020/06/16 ,i have no idea what i had downloaded, it would usually just download a software which i would install, reset my pc and then it would work but it downloaded some sort of intel software,ss provided, i then downloaded pro winx64 which still showed the link speed at 100/100 and i couldnt do anything about it, my lan cable is cat6 and i check thoroughly that it wasnt the issue, and i tried to config the duplex manually to full 1g at theres no internet connection

  18. Budget (including currency): $500-$1500 $USD (if it can stay closer to $1000 that would be wonderful lmao) Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: • Gaming mainly, some MMORPGs (FFXIV specifically), Minecraft, or other RPG/Open-world type games. I don’t play FPS games much so specs related to that aren’t that big of a deal to me. •Browsing and light school workload, like essays and that sort of thing •Potentially art programs like Clip Studio Paint Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I created a mock up of my build on PCPartPicker which I will link, but I’ll also put a list of it here as well List Link: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/cinnabunz/saved/WYrnpg •CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3100 3.6 GHz Quad-Core •CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i 33.84 CFM •MoBo: MSI B550-A PRO ATX AM4 •RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 X 8 GB) •SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2 2280 NVME •GPU: MSI Radeon RX 6600 8 GB MECH 2X •Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case •PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA GA 650 W 80+ Gold Fully Modular ATX OS: Windows 10 Home OME 64-Bit I do have to say that I am still learning on how to look at specs for what exactly I need (which I do have LTT to thank for with their videos lol), but I do want some tips and critiques on how I can tweak this to get more power for less money. I’m planning on buying relatively soon, as I’ve noticed components have been going down in prices the past few days. I think really anything will be better than my HP Notebook I’ve been trying to game on for the past three years that gets max of 10 fps lol.

  20. Budget: 1,500(ish) EUR Country: Greece The system will be used for gaming and general use, including low system demand office work. The plan for the most part: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/97mYZw Hi everyone, After keeping my, second-hand, Core 2 Duo computer chugging along for about a decade, I'm finally in a position where I can move on. It's my first ever build and I'm really enjoying the experience so far. I've learnt a lot over the past month, or so, of planning and oh boy was it more complicated that I originally thought! Google and YouTube have been a great help, but I have yet to recover from discovering the dreaded QVL and how picky Ryzen seems to be in regard to RAM. Just when I narrowed things down a bit, I stumbled upon the 2 vs 4 ram stick discussion, and now I'm really confused. To make a long story short, 4 sticks, at the latency and/or MHz I'd like, won't be easily achievable within the budget and I'm attempting to compromise. Currently I'm looking at the following kits: 2x8gb 3200MHz CL14-14-14-34 Single Rank (on G.Skill's QVL for the motherboard and CPU) + (B-Die) [F4-3200C14D-16GVK] 2x8gb 3600MHz CL16-16-16-36 Single Rank (on the particular motherboard's QVL) + (B-Die) [F4-3600C16D-16GVK] 2x16gb 3200MHz CL16-18-18-38 Dual Rank (on G.Skill's QVL for the motherboard and CPU) [F4-3200C16D-32GVK] 4x8gb 3200MHZ CL16-18-18-38 Single Rank (on G.Skill's QVL for the motherboard and CPU) [F4-3200C16Q-32GVKB] I'm not sure what aspect of the kits is most important here. My main question being: if the frequencies are relatively close, are the RAM's latency/timings or the rank going to make the most difference. I believe 2x16gb dual rank sticks should be the same as 4x8gb single rank sticks, but should I chase dual rank heaven at 3200 MHZ dirty-16 CAS, or would I be better off with better sticks at 3200/3600MHz, clean-16/clean-14 CAS? I'm concerned about the RAM type due to Infinity Fabric and a desire to play some games that seem to be very heavy on CPU & RAM (e.g. Pillars of Eternity 2, Baldur's Gate 3, might even join my friends on Star Citizen if I somehow lose my mind). Probably a huge dose of overthink, especially considering I don't particularly plan to OC the RAM beyond XMP/DCOP, but I just don't want to realize I chose the worse combination from the above. Any advice would be highly appreciated! CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x Motherboard: B550 Aorus Elite AX V2 (Rev 1.1) RAM: The big question, but probably G.Skill 16-32gb, 3200-3600MHz, 16ish CAS Storage: 1 TB Western Digital Black SN 770 & 1 TB XPG SX8200 pro (both NVME SSD) Case: Corsair 4000D airflow CPU cooler: Noctua NH-U12A (I know, I know; I just always wanted a Noctua cooler. Future-proofing?) PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 PE 750 W 80+ Gold Modular GPU: Asus DUAL Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB Fans: ARCTIC P12 PST 56.3 CFM 120 mm Fans 5-Pack Single monitor: HP OMEN 25i 24.5" 1920 x 1080 165 Hz Keyboard: HyperX Alloy Origins /w Aqua Switches Mouse: Logitech G502 HERO Apologies for the long post, all things considered, and thank you all for your time! P.S. From a tweaking perspective, I plan to undervolt the GPU; CPU could go either way. Only really looking to use XMP/DCOP on the ram, as stated above.

  22. Hey guys, This is my first attempt to ever build a computer. I’ve upgraded basic stuff on my pre-build before but i’ve decided to take a jump into building my own pc. I’m looking to build a gaming/editing hybrid pc. I’ve done some research but my knowledge is pretty minimal in terms of building so i’m hoping someone can check my work and see if there is any potential issues with my planned build CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X MB: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite ATX AM4 (or other options?) GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 2070 Super (White) Case: NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower PSU: Corsair RM (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold ATX Fully Modular (or other options?) Cooling: NZXT Kraken X63 98.17 CFM Monitor: LG 34GK950F Ultrawide (3440x1440p @ 144hz) I think i’m pretty set on the CPU/GPU, but i’m open to options for the Motherboard, PSU, Storage and Cooling. I’ll probably get a mechanical hard drive at a later point so exclude that. Thanks for your help!!
  23. I have never built a computer and have very little confidence in playing around inside one. I did once replace a hard drive and ram. I am looking for 2 things so please clarify what is info for what. In both cases I want them future proofed with idea of being able to upgrade over next couple years as funds become available or needs change. AMD B550 board for both? Budget (including currency): Depends, maybe $500, then $1000+ Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: See build requirements. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): First pc is the one I want to do to test my understanding of building, would like closer to the $500 range. This PC would be just for the basics, mainly used as a work/internet browser pc for my store and play Rimworld/worldofwarships when i am stuck at it but no customers. up grade ability would be more just for storage. No monitor required as i will use one of my existing ones. This pc is basically to replace a systems i already have into one that is new and does not have parts that are wearing out/off the shelf build issues. I might also just turn around and sell this system for school use local if i feel comfortable with how i did. Wifi not required but would be nice as back up. Multiple USB ports required. Ram to be 2 4gb sticks. Hard drive needs are probably not more than 1TB for this system. Second/Third PC. This is to replace my current gaming/main office system. This is the system that ill be slowly upgrading over the next couple years. I am thinking a B550 motherboard *but dont know what one. Both the second and third pc are going to be basically identical other than the third pc needs to have very good dust protection/cooling as its in a place that gets very hot/dusty and will probably be built at the very end after all upgrades have been figured out and tested out on second PC. 3 monitor layout (second PC will use 3, third will only be 1) Monitor requirement is 144hz 24-27". This pcs will be for gaming/streaming/video editing. I want to get into a B550 or x750 motherboard with idea of getting lower end cpu and then latter down road upgrade to better CPU with same motherboard. I also dont want to have to change out the power supply at all. Hard line connection no wifi. Games/programs: Rimeworld, World of Warships, World of Tanks, Other strategy games like Dawn of War or Total War (almost no FPS), League of Legends. Word processing/spreadsheets/accounting programs and other E commerce related programs. Streaming on Twitch/youtube with bad upload (basically 1 up) speeds so recording then upload? or something (dont really know this part ether). discord/TSeamspeak . The ability to run 4+ programs at same time. Cooling/Sound: needs to be able to handle 90+ F degree rooms while also maintaining some sound level to be able to stream/communicate on discord/TSeamspeak
  24. Hey guys, I currently have been gaming on laptops until now and my dream is to build the biggest baddest non essential over the top custom water cooled pc of my life for the first time. My pc part wishlist: cpu: 10900k gpu: 3080ti mobo: z490 Godlike psu: Corsair Ax1600i case: Corsair obsidian 1000d storage: boot drive 500gb Evo plus ssD A 2tb Evo plus ssd and an hdd with 14tb cooling: Custom water cooled loops with 2 480mm rads and 1 420mm rad in a push-pull fan config with over 18 fans (gets pretty hot where i live) Now the question is about ram: I have read alot on ram but I am still a bit dense when it comes to choosing the right ram. Z490 Godlike supports 5000mhz 2 slots ddr4 ram but i was reading that the 10900k maximum supports only 2933 mhz of ram speed. So how do i make sense of that? Am i missing something? Also which ram would you guys recommend? Speed and brand wise? I am fine with either 32 or 64gb total ram.
