Budget (including currency): don’t want to go above €1,200 Country: Ireland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gta 5, the whole Adobe suite, mainly premiere pro, after effects and photoshop Other details I’ve put in screenshots of the build I’m thinking of going with rn. I’m fully aware the cpu cooler is gimmicky and I could probably bring the price down quite a bit without it but I like how it looks. Any advice would be hugely appreciated

First time pc build advice, 7700x or 5800x3D?
Dodo Baggins posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Budget (including currency): 1000-1400 euros, less if possible obviously Country: The Netherlnds Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly older games in the beginning 2020 or prior but also a bit of Jedi survivor etc. i know often play racing games like ACC and F1 22 and sometimes FPS games like overwatch with friends. also Adobe Photshop and premiere pro And webbrowsing and consuming content. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This will be my first ever pc build, always played on laptops, currently on laptop with 1660ti and I7 9th with 16gb of ram. I now use a 1080p 60hz monitor, but i want to upgrade to a 1440p 144hz in the near future. I now have two builds I have to decide between and I don't know what is better for the long term and if I should change anything, the only real difference is the 7700x and 5800x3D in the builds and the DDR4/5 and a cheaper motherboard with the 5800. If i should do something really different please let me know I have marked the differences. I'm thinking of the fractal north case because its really good looking, but its pretty expansive so i maybe need to change it. And maybe are there parts i could better buy second hand? Cheaper than 1k is also great if it can beat my current laptop. Thanks in advance. Budget (including currency): £400-600 Country: UK (England) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Peripherals not needed, I can't remember the resolution and refresh rate but it's a tv rather than a monitor. Sorry I'm asking about pre-builts I know that's sacrilege around these parts. I'm looking for a first time budget pc for a younger sister, I have experience building pcs in the past but I don't really have the time at the moment, I'm out of the loop and the GPUs seem to be non-existant. What sould I be looking for in a prebuilt for this price? Is the GTX 1050ti fine, I've seen one on amazon claiming to have both a GTX 1650 and RX 570 that's definitely dodgy right? She's looking to play simple games like minecraft, however I imagine once she's bitten with the bug of PC gaming that could go further.

Budget (including currency): $1,800-2,000 (or more depending on if I can do but I would like to get more bang for my buck and for it to last me a long time) USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: heavily for graphic design, making music and videos, podcasts/streaming (hopefully), gaming (Minecraft - Cyberpunk) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I already have AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 4th gen 8 core for the processor and the Corsair RMX 750w 80plus white power supply. I would like to have two monitors I know that for sure due to all the work I am going to be doing. Right now I have a Microsoft surface so I would be starting from scratch. I appreciate any and all who help! The two different SSDs are my biggest question: do I need two different ones? Can I get away with one and get a 1TB internal hard drive? Cause I'm going to be doing a lot of projects.

Budget (including currency): ~$2000 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Brand new first PC build. Trying to find the best bang for my buck in this day in age. Couple questions I have: -Will the included AMD Wraith cooler be sufficient in this build? (My case has 3 fans in it, 2 pulling from the front panel, 1 exhaust on the back.) -Will my 750W PSU be sufficient regardless if I will OC or not? -Will I need to update my motherboard bios? (Keep in mind I am a newbie and this is my first ever build, i will be building this soon and currently have the case, gpu, mobo, and ram) Thank you! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WwDccb -
Budget (including currency): 1000 euro Country: Europe Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: casual gaming and work, no video editing Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): my idea is to play at least at 60FPS with a good quality image without any problem and use this PC for years so keep upgradability in mind (no VR). I Need also a monitor with this build but I have no idea about it, if you could give me help it would be amazing. the only requirement is that it has to have a quality similar to the screen of a MacBook pro and a USB C, I will use it sometimes to work with my Mac. I’m building my first pc and I’m still debating which one I should get, currently the prices are 1220$ for the 3080ti vs 1700$ for the 3090, is it worth the almost 500$ difference.

First time builder here. There is an unidentified Cable running from the power button, down to the HDD storage area where it appears to be hung up. Is this an issue? Edit: Case is a Phanteks Eclipse P300a.

first time pc First-Time Build PCPartpicker List Feedback
m1key posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hello, I have recently been wanting to build my own PC. It would be the first PC I've ever build, so I made a PCPartpicker list for it, and I'm just looking for some feedback on it. I don't need the best specs, just something that can run my games better than my gaming laptop. (?) Link: pcpartpicker list- 6 replies

Hi guys! First time ever entering and posting here so i hope you all can help me get this figured out. I am gonna build my first gaming pc, kind of a budget one and i want to be sure i am picking the right components and wont fry or bottleneck anything because i missed something in my psu or mother board or something like that. The components i picked are as follows: > CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07STGGQ18/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 > GPU: XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition (1386MHz OC, 8Gb, GDDR5) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y66K3XD/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 > MB: MSI B450I Gaming Plus AC https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F83RY49/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 > RAM: G.Skill Aegis PC-2400 DDR4 16Gb (2x8) 3000 MHz https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IW7Z66U/ref=ox_sc_act_title_7?smid=A3TOECTKC4OEBD&psc=1 > SSD: Samsung970 EVO 500Gb M.2 NVMe https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BN4NJ2J/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 > HDD: WD Blue 1TB https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0088PUEPK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 > PSU: SilverStone 500W SFX-L 80+ Gold https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SD9IORQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 The case i have not decided yet cuz maybe i will try to make something custom inspired in the Monument or an open case attached to the wall or something (links below if you´re curious) :D https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/537195061803371404/?autologin=true&lp=true https://co.pinterest.com/pin/423831014936834326/ https://co.pinterest.com/pin/423831014936834328/ As i said it´s my first time building a PC and i´m very worried i could mess it up in choosing something that wont fit or work or kill the whole system. I´m gonna be honest here and say that for the most part this build is gonna be used for both gaming and graphic design, for gaming i just want to play at 60+ FPs (don´t really care for going too far beyond that, just not going under that many fps is enough for me) and for GD i mainly use Photoshop and Illustrator in my laptop and they mostly run good but there are some projects that really test my laptop and my patience, and video editing can be something of an anoying experience sometimes, so i wanna have a better experience over all on that regard with this new desktop. Guys thanks for taking the time if you red all of this, hope you´re doing well, sorry if there was some bad english (not my mother lenguage) and i´ll be reading you all soon. Bye!

Hello. I recently just finished my first pc and it works great, Except for the sound. I have an MSI z97s SLI krait edition motherboard and the sound will not output. I've tried downloading the sound drivers, However, the installers either crash or say "No driver was supported in this driver package" and then close. I've tried downloading the ones from MSI, But I don't know what to do from there, The files just sit there. So, Any ideas?

So I’ve recently decided to start planning my first build, and I’m very new at all this, but I’m not completely hopeless. I think. So this build is by no means going to be able to run any high to medium end games, it just needs to be able to be upgraded as time goes on. I'm more or less looking to see if the parts I’ve picked out will be able to be run together or if I need to change some aspects of it. Here are the parts I’ve picked out... please make any suggestions or comments needed for it to run properly. Looking to keep it the same for now, and under $550 dollars. § Processor: AMD FX-4300 Vishera Quad-Core 3.8GHz (4.0GHz) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor FD4300WMHKBOX § Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard § Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL § Hard drive: Western Digital WD Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive - OEM § Graphics: EVGA 01G-P3-2615-KR GeForce GT 610 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card (May get 2GB version) § Networking: Ethernet, Wireless [Rosewill RNX-N900PCE, Dual Band Wireless N900 Wi-Fi Adapter] (required; no access to Ethernet) § Chassis: NZXT Phantom 410 Series CA-PH410-W1 Black/White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case § Power supply: CORSAIR CXM series CX500M 500W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply § Heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan (Reviews say it fits in the selected case) Is this everything required to have a fully functional PC? Is there anything else vital I need for a first time PC? Hopefully no changes should have to be made, but if there's something that just won't work please don't hesitate to tell me or suggest a working alternative with around the same price. There are a few things I need, such as HDMI capability and wireless connectivity. Please check if all of these parts are applicable and that the power supply and ram are viable in this setup. I do wonder about the ram, like if the ram I have picked out is too fast for the motherboard or something like that... and sorry if I'm noobish or uneducated in this subject. Thanks in advance, Frankies131

Hey guys! I'm trying to build a pc for my first time. I know it's been asked a thousand times before, but for the veterans out there, will my build be able to play all current games maxed out at a decent frame rate? I think I did it, but I'm not 100% sure. Thanks for any help guys, it means a lot. Here's the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7c2MTW
