Originally I was going to build something in the much higher end range of things. (I actually impulse bought a 4090 a few months ago but ended canceling my purchase.) But after not having a PC for over a year now, I've found I don't have that much time for gaming these days anyways and spending 3000€ on a new PC seemed kind of stupid even though I could afford it. I'm still struggling to decide between getting the 7800 XT or the 7900 XTX. I don't know if it's worth paying 400€ more for the 7900 XTX. Is the 7800 XT powerful enough for my needs? (latest games @ 1440p high, no RT) Is the 7900 XTX a better choice for the long run? I've heard future proofing is stupid. As for the rest of the build. some parts I am unsure on are: Motherboard: prices for AM5 boards vary wildly and I no nothing about them so IDK if this is a good board to get or not Case: Are there any better cases around the 100-150€ range that I should consider instead? Power supply: These tend to have long warranties so I want to get something that will last me an upgrade or 2. Is what have a good option? Are there better options to consider instead. Here are my main concerns: -CPU cooler and RAM clearance: according to this site it will not go well with the chosen RAM unless I move the fan but I am not sure if there will be space for it in chosen case and the last thing I want to do is to return and look for another cooler in the middle of building it since it will be my first time i would like everything to go as smooth as possible -how much cooling would I need since the base version of the case comes with 2x120mm but I want to go with more expensive version of the same case at local store which changes them for 4x120mm ARGB for only 20$ more -is it really worth to go DDR5 instead of DDR4 for this build: since DDR5 motherboards in my country are around 100$ more for the same quality and I don't want to downgrade VRM etc. and RAM costs are 20-50$ more depending on specs and the impact doesn't seem that big as far as I know PS: Do I need to worry about this note from partpicker because I'm not sure I understand it and can someone please explain it if it's a big deal for a first time builder: Note: The video card PCIe 16-pin power connector adapter is being supplied by three 6+2-pin power connectors. Hello, first time builder here, super excited to get all my parts here so I can start putting it together, I have been researching for about 6 months and saved up while I was doing so.. Since it's next to impossible to find a GPU atm and well my budget doesn't allow for it yet anyways il be using the integrated graphics until it's reasonable to buy either a 3060ti or a 3070. So I've never built a PC before, but I've got a pretty good idea of how and how much I'd like to spend on one (thanks to LTT videos!!). I'm looking to spend Around £450 max, but I'm willing to go second hand for some parts. I already have 2 monitors, peripherals, an SSD and a HDD. Any advice on what I should change on this list?

This is my first build and I have run into some problems... My motherboard (B450 Tomahawk Max) won't light up fans won't start nothing... I really don't know what is going on and it really sucks. I have tested the power supply which is a Corsair CX500M, which should be compatible and it works fine. But when I put it into the motherboardboard nothing happens, the fan on the power supply won't spin either. I don't know if there is a compatibility issue, so I have listed the part below. Hey Everyone, I've heard this is a great community that is willing to help the newbies out with building their first PC. Never owned a desktop so I'm not familiar with this at all. Researching myself doesn't bring any clear answers so i'm looking for some nerds to help me out. I'm looking for the absolute cheapest, but most importantly, reliable thing that will protect my pc from a power outage and give me time to properly shutdown. Or is it not even necessary..?

Also the reason some things are blank or say (or current gen equivalent) is because im not buying these parts until next cristmas or summer 2017 because im going back to med school in january so i wont have much time to build it or play. I'm currently looking for a decent graphics card under 400$ canadian dollars that can reach 1080p max or high settings 50-60 or higher fps in most modern games. I've got a Intel core i5 6600k, a Asus Z170-A motherboard, 8 gigs of ddr4 ram, and EVGA 650 80 gold power supply I've found a XFX GTR RX 480 card with switchable fans for around under 400 which is odd, since the RX 480 line should be at least maybe 300 or less but due to demand it costs more than cheaper 1060 cards by about 100 to 50 dollars. The current problem I'm having is that most of the nvidia cards on the market don't cater to my color preferences, often looking garish unless you have that specific colour in mind (i.e. zotacs yellow stripe or msi's in your face red) whereas i could switch between different colored fans with the XFX and make it look uniform. I'm also interested in shadowplay and a bunch of features nvidia cards have but apparently amd will have their own version of shadowplay at some point... Which is better to go with? The highest end and coolest (in terms of temps) RX 480 8GB or like a 1060 mini or cheaper 1060 6GB? or should i just save my money and just go with a 1050 ti? please help!

current parts selection> http://amzn.eu/0lzU347 looking for some opinions about the parts I've picked out for building a computer. anything I've left out? anything that works better than what I've picked? any advice will be much appreciated. budget- 1200 uk pounds (might stretch a little) purpose- gaming, game developing, sound design and implementation, general university work monitors- 2. currently i have one 1920x1080 (primary) and one 1280x1024 (secondary). however, in a while i might upgrade to a 4k monitor and use the 1920x1080 as a secondary. why the upgrade- PCs offer better price/performance than a mac (currently a mac user). i want a powerful gaming machine. also, i just want to build a computer.
