Budget (including currency): 260 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, light editing Other details: currently just waiting on my case to arrive, I have all other parts needed. Parts include a Gigabyte B365M motherboard, EVGA 1660, i5-9600, Crucial 32gb DDR4 3200mhz RAM, 750w PSU, Crucial 1tb M.2, and a cheapo cooler. Managed to come in so cheap as I traded a "freedom stick" for the CPU, GPU and MoBo. I most definitely will be re-building this sooner rather than later because I'm sure there are several games I'll want to run higher. This will be my first PC aside from a CyberPower pre built I had a few years ago that I had to sell due to finances. Very excited to try my hand building one. LTTs budget build videos inspired me to try to cobble it together as cheaply as possible. I don't have a monitor yet so I'll be using a 19in spectre TV lol

I just built a PC with a MSI B550-A pro and a generic Bluetooth adapter and I have 2 questions 1. I'm just trying to play games with my brother and I can't talk, only audio works. On the Front media panel or whatever its called(new to this PC thing) there are separate audio and microphone jacks and not a combined one. I haven't been able to input through there either. I have tried multiple ports on the front and the back, usb 2 and three. When I connect airpods or my Q20i soundcore headphones, it recognizes it as a voice and audio, then when I try to use it it doesn't work. If I test audio in windows (11) settings, It no longer recognizes it as audio. I am lost. I think its probably not a bluetooth issue but a hardware issue but who knows. 2. I do have two audio cables (one not pictured but it has an HD audio and an AC'97 and it comes from the lower header) and two other things I didnt plug into the mobo bc I couldn't find where they go and linus didn't mention them in the guide as far as I heard. The black USB and the Italian colored 5V come from the lower front media panel and the audio one comes from the upper.

Budget (including currency): 2000 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads for which it will be used, Usually playing single-player AAA games. I would like to try and play multiplayer games and maybe try some MMOs. Not a streamer or anything. Just regular school and office work as well. Other details: I need help in figuring out what is a good CPU and GPU combo. I have seen many and my head starts spinning. I am looking to just play games in 4k with a good amount of frames. Also as stated before do everyday office and school work So all suggestions are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

New pc and first time building my own. I have no clue where the issue lies. I have tried troubleshooting on my own but can't seem to solve it. The ez diag led will go CPU -> DRAM -> CPU -> DRAM -> CPU -> DRAM -> VGA -> BOOT And will stick on boot indefinitely with zero video output. Specs include: - i7-14700KF - 1080Ti Founders Edition - MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk WiFi Wifi DDr5 - 16gb Corsair Vengencd DDR5 5200 - WD Black SN850X 1TB - EVGA Supernova 850 G6 80 Plus Gold Things I've tried: - Each stick of ram in each ram slot - no ram - no gpu - unable to flash bios with newer version, led indicator for it remains turned on after flashing for 5-10 seconds - Checked cables to ensure plugged in all the way, willing to recheck if you guys think necessary I haven't checked the gpu in a known good computer, will do so when I get the chance but had to leave the house before I could get the chance to do so. Have attached photos of the ez diag mobo led and one of the rear ports to show the red bios flash light that remains on after every attempt. Any help is greatly appreciated and I do want to apologize ahead of time if I've overlooked any rules or guidelines before posting.

Budget (including currency): $1800 USD Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Fortnite, Ultrakill, (Possibly) Apex Legends, Others. Here's the list of parts, this is including EVERYTHING I'll be buying: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BNJh89 Also, I know that's a lot of fans, I also know that I probably wont need them all, but either way, I'm having the max amount of fans that this case has slots for.

buil Avid gamer and multi-tasker... My first PC build.
SaH posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
This is big budget; I have never splurged like this before in my life... so I don't have the budget to make a big mistake. Budget 3500$ - 9000$ 40 000 NOK - 100 000NOK: Country: Norway Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Modern games with max fidelity-settings, workstation programs (Fution360, Unreal 5, blender, ai/procedural networks/genetic algorithms). When I get VR-glasses I would play Rumble and Minecraft ray-traced. Other details: I use 6 monitors and have gotten dependent on that. I have peripherals and will be using the system for 50+ hours a week. Due to stability issues in my old system I am a bit paranoid for stability. 3440x1440 175hz main monitor + 5x 1920x1080 (I would desire my 99% fps to be over 200fps). No peripherals needed, I have no system; I have a single 1TB SDD. I am fairly sure I need a 4090, so I intend use the 4090 ¿only? for my main monitor, and supplement my other monitors with an arch GPU and perhaps a second hand GPU? So I don't know if a second system to go with the main is a good or better option; given my budget. Intel Arc for encode? I heard it is a good value proposition. I would love to use the snowblind case for PC-stats weather and to-do list. I believe my CPU and GPU is good, and I know nothing about RAM and storage differences... https://www.ibuypower.com/gaming-pcs/signatures/snowblind https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hJgZPF CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D 4.2 GHz 16-Core Processor CPU Cooler - Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite 240 66.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Motherboard - ASRock X670E PG Lightning ATX AM5 Motherboard Storage - Samsung 990 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive Video Card - Intel Limited Edition Arc A750 8 GB Video Card Video Card - MSI SUPRIM LIQUID GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB Video Card Case - Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply - SeaSonic PRIME PX-1600 ATX 3.0 1600 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Case Fan - Noctua F12 PWM 54.97 CFM 120 mm Fan Much thanks -

Budget: ~$1800 total Country: USA (NY) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Fortnite, BG3, Minecraft (hosting server), random AAA shooters, Hogwarts Legacy | NUTS simulations, model development and local training, local LLM development/deployment Other details: pc part picker list, getting an m.2 at some point on sale (gen 5 worth?), getting a 34in monitor, upgrading from ASUS Scar Strix II GL504GS (gtx 1070, i7-8750h, 32g ddr4), would like to play 1440p 144hz. Hello everyone, I am building my first real PC after living the gaming laptop life for 6-ish years. I included my pc-partpicker list above, but my only real concerns are with the 7800x3d. I know it's a fantastic gaming chip, and I know it's a massive upgrade from what I have (plus the AM5 lifespan), but would a 14700k or 7900x do me better here for the same price considering my use cases? The split will probably be 65/35 gaming to work, but that work is really intensive. I have heard things about RAM instability with AMD chips, will I have issues like that with my setup here? Also, I know the 8000 series is coming out soon, should that have any effect on my choices here? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

As well as web/software dev workload. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/m8NvmD I have a 165hz monitor already, 1080p Upgrading from a laptop (2060, i710750h (what I feel is holding me back a lot), 16gb Single channel ram (1 slot is broken)) I really think that the mobo is the part that I might not have selected a solid choice for and am looking for an alternative that at least has a USB C port for VR (Quest 2), and 1-2 usb3.0+ ports.

I've been working on my first build for a bit, (following the ltt guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL4DCEp7blY) and I've come into a bit of an issue. The guide says that it's important to use standoffs in order to prevent your mobo from shorting. I'm using a case from a random desktop from 2010, and examining it shows that the holes for the standoffs are raised, meaning that if I insert standoffs than the mobo won't be aligned with the io shield. (You can see the raised bumps in the image below, I have the screws in there for safekeeping) I disassembled this computer in order to use the case, and the motherboard for this one was screwed straight into the holes, no standoffs. It does seem as if this may be a plate put on top of the rest of the chassis. Do I just need to get a new case, or is this case specifically designed to be used without standoffs? Any help is appreciated. (I'm using an Asrock b450m Pro4 as my motherboard)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hey, This is me (and my dads) first ever build. Its a MicroATX build without graphics card, only IGPU (for now, not required). Got a strong CPU so it can last a while. Not focused on RGB although it would be nice if convenient. Country: Indonesia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: OBS Other details Ryzen 5 3600 3.6ghz, MSI Radeon RX 6600 MECH 2X, Antec VP 550W 80+ Hello everyone, I've been planning to build a budget setup with Ryzen 5 3600 3.6ghz, MSI Radeon RX 6600 MECH 2X, Antec VP 550W 80+... I've been saving up for a new motherboard when one of my friend offer me his MSI B450M Pro VDH for a pretty cheap price. I wonder if his motherboard would be compatible with any of my part since PC part picker only shows the MAX variant of the mainboard. Also what's the main difference between the Non-max and Max Version anyway? Any Help Appreciated, Thank You...

My brother got me a intel Core i5-13600k for the holidays, and so I thought I'd get a better case and some more fans but i think having 7 RGB fans is a bit much for a first build. I plan on getting these fan splitters... https://a.co/d/dwvWo83 But when it comes to the rgb I am very confused. Should I just get splitters or get an RGB control? If anyone would like to give some tips on what I should do or should I just stick with the case fans and get a simply exhaust fan to make things easier. Either way, I would still like some help on the rgb.

Budget (including currency): $200 U.S dollars Country: U.S.A Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Web browsing, Fusion 360, 1080p Gaming Other details: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dJ4gQP I already have the cpu, gpu (see above), 2 1080p monitors (I think 60 or 75hz), a mouse, headphones, random keyboard, and windows. I still need ram (Preferably 16gb, 3000MHz), an M.2 nvme ssd (I have an ssd and hard drive that I can use for more bulk storage), motherboard, cpu cooler, case (Could use one from a random old computer if needed), and a power supply (I have an LSP Ultra 650W, but it's used. If a new power supply fits in the budget that would be great, if not that's fine.) I am willing to buy used parts. I understand if this is unreasonably cheap, I could increase the budget if needed, just want to see if anything is possible with this. I do plan on upgrading the gpu in the future, I just want to see what I can create right now. Thanks for any suggestions!

Budget (including currency): Around 5000 USD Country: USA Games: Soulframe, Horizon forbidden west, and The first Descendant Programs: Blender Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I was thinking this setup but I would like to workout kinks in my parts list https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Tpr8QP Not planning on buying everything now or in one big purchase, might be a few months, a microcenter is coming to Miami close to my job so that will help with buying stuff. Want ultrawide curved, if you guys have recommendation for gaming that would help. Have a 34' but only 60 Hz. Will be after PC is complete so recommendation might not be up to date when I buy it. Bit of backstory, I have a pre-built, next month would be 5 years with it. Have not had any problems with the games I play until I played the beta of "The First Descendant", rest of my games can be played without having to put everything on low. Decided it was time for a new PC since I wanted to play the game when it comes out and replay old games like "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" and "Horizon Zero Dawn" on Max setting and other games that I have but have not played. Was planning on using buildredux but wanted something more mine/personal if I was going to spend over $3000 on a PC. NGL some parts were picked by choosing white and Price high to low on pc part list so some parts I'm wondering if worth it like the RAM since it first Edition and I don't know what that means. Other parts I picked since It would be my first time building a PC and look like it would be easier to work with like the CPU Cooler since it has the ICUE link that looks like less hassle, same with fans that connect with magnets but don't know if it is easier to build with. Picked the Video Card for the color and since I saw it on an LTT video, whale pc video. Motherboard since its more compatible with the Video Card and white. The Video Card i'm planning on buying is in stock, goes out of stock, should I worry about that and pick something else which would also change the motherboard or is it normal for this Video Card. Haven't picked a case or power supply. Case I was thinking NV9 from Phanteks since I think the vertcal Video Card looks Cool and like the glass look. Got lucky or unlucky since Phantek is partnering with cable mod for the Power supply but have no idea how cablemod works, like length and which cables I need. How do I pick the watts for it, is the 1.5 of what says on pcpartpicker, or can I pick a 1000 Watt power supply. Didn't add other expensive like extra fans that I would need or the cost of Cable mods. dang video Cards are so expensive, build wouldn't reach 2000 if it wasn't for it. Should I buy the SSD since its discounted for Black friday/cyber monday or go for another brand/SSD. Sorry for the long rambling or if this is considered a "Dream PC"(what does this mean btw) just want this PC to be personal and last me longer then the one first one I bought.
