I remember seeing this a couple year back, looks like design is now finalised and it will start to ship to backers in mid-July. They claims that the mixture of 16 different types of lens (each with a smartphone-like sensor) will be able to produce DSLR quality images. As a photographer myself I feel a little skeptic that the combination of the lenses will produce images worthy of the $1,699 price tag. For reference that would get you a Fujifilm X-T2, a top of the range mirror-less with interchangeable lenses. Then again I guess this is aimed more at the high-end consumer looking for a DSLR-quality point and shoot. From an engineering point of view what they're doing in software is similar to what Apple has done in its dual lens setup or Google's HDR+ in the Pixel. Essentially capturing a load of information then fusing it in software. I'm guessing the tele-photo lenses are for minor detail whilst the wide-angle and fast lenses are for the framing and bokeh. Sample images from the company: http://captured.light.co/mostly-cuba Community blog pointing out flaws in processing here: http://lightrumors.co/2017/04/14/new-light-l16-images-from-cuba-oh-the-dynamic-range-and-the-narrow-depth-of-field/ How it works by Wired (From 2015): https://www.wired.com/2015/10/light-l16-camera/ More pictures of the device Full Specifications

I've made a post like this before, though I have made a few changes and I'd like a more up-to-date thread now. Here's my current PC build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/myJZzM So I've got quite a limited budget of about $1400 AUD, I'd prefer lower than that but I can go higher if it's worth it. I'd like to keep a bit of money as well for extra things like headphones, themal paste, ect. Is there anything that I need to change? I'd like to keep the 2TB HDD storage, 240GB SSD storage and 3 monitors. The things I want to keep the same are the mouse, OS and the case, but if there's another case being suggested that I like then I can change. I'm going to be doing a lot of gaming on here, I've got the valve pack so I'll be playing mainly Source engine games such as Half-Life and TF2. I was hoping to be able to use a few programs like Unreal Engine and Eclipse/Netbeans. Thanks in advance.

So I know it was probably less than a week ago since I made a thread on what headphones I should get but after choosing to get the DT 770's I've been watching lots of reviews and videos and there is always a lot of controversy between whether they are good or not. What I plan to use these headphones for is mainly CS:GO and some other gaming so pinpointing footsteps and hearing small details is a must. The bad bits I heard that the DT 770's are harsh on the top end and that it's not as neutral or DT 880's and they are more balanced, whatever that means. I have a TV that is on most of the time to the right of me this is what makes me want closed back headphones. I hear the 880's are semi would this make the tv really hearable even being semi open? Also, I hear the Sennheiser HD 598 are really good for CS:GO only problem is they are open back. Are there any alternatives either from Sennheiser or anyone that are like the HD 598's but closed back?

I thought I'd list the parts I plan on using for my first PC build, just so that I can maybe have someone point out any major flaws. CPU: AMD FX-8350 MB: Gigabyte GA-990FX Gaming GPU: Radeon RX 480 8GB RAM: Corsair Vengence LP Red DDR3L PC12900/1600MHx CL9 2x8GB Storage: 2x Intenso 2.5" SSD SATA III 256GB PSU: Inter-Tech ENERGON EPS-650W CM-650W Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-ALPHA I went with AMD since I don't plan on overclocking, and I'm on a low budget (€1100, but I live in Sweden, so everything costs 1,5 - 2,5 times as much as in the US). I also can't decide what RX 480 card I'm gonna go with just yet since the prices are still way too high here for it to be worth getting. On top of that, I plan on setting up the two SSDs in Raid 0 to maximise the performance of the SSDs, increasing boot-up times and loading speeds in games. This raid will be solely for programs and other things that I can reinstall, I will run a separate HDD to store photos, films, documents and other irreplaceable data. Point out anything that won't work or any mistakes (regarding incompatibility between parts, I don't care what you think about AMD).

Today I ordered the case for my new Gaming/Work build. As my build is in it's final stage, I would like to check that everything is in working order and will run well. I would like to play games like GTA5, Battlefront, and the Witcher 3 at maxed out settings. Also, will my build be good for 1440p? All help is appreciated, thank you. I've heard great things about the finalmouse, but do other mice have good sensors for fos games like cs:go?
-
I've read that ambidextrous mice are good due to the balance vs ergonomic mice, but I don't know what other things either mice have over eachother if they have thale same sensor and shell material etc. Can someone explain it to me?

I am looking for people who want to give a little help. I am going to purchase everything rather shortly and want to make sure everything I have chosen works together and will be able to be assembled. By being able to be assembled, I mean that everything has the clearance to fit. I just want to know overall that this will all go together. Any help is appreciated. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/BBtHMp

Link for PCPartPicker: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/PvqHMp I am nearing the end for my pc build an need some final advice in terms of the life span of my computer and if everything will work together. Using PcPartPicker I was not sure of how accurate it is in term of everything working together. Please do me favor in terms of opinions of the computer. I would like opinions on the following. How long the computer will last, how up-gradable it is, and if it will suit almost all games at 1080p 60fps Hight(or medium depending on the game) to ultra (with no VSync). Anything is much appreciated. Note: I am looking for mostly opinions and I want to stay under 1,300 dollars for the whole desktop. Feel free to make suggestions but as long as it is around the price I am going for.

So every few days, I see that someone new has posted a topic asking why their internet gets slow at night usually between 6-11 PM. For those in the future, your internet gets slow because of network congestion, either your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is slowing everyone down to prevent congestion, or they aren't doing anything, and the network is overloaded/congested. This happens a lot with COAX and sometimes on fiber internet. If you have DSL, slow internet can be caused by bad wiring. Think about it, when everyone comes home from work, at generally the same time, they hop on their computers and start watching their videos and downloading their *ehm* files... This uses more bandwidth, which your area might not be able to support. If this helped you, then feel free to like this post or post a comment. If you have questions, just leave a comment. Sincerely, Kyle

So for my final project in my computer programming class (visual basic...not by choice) i'm making a maze game type thing. like where you move with WASD controls and you have to make your way through a maze and the quicker you get through it the more points you get. i was thinking about making maybe like 6 levels and a score board and have it where you have to beat each level to move onto the next and each one you beat you get a rating of 1-3 stars. and each level is more difficult than the last. and each one would have different music playing. i was just wondering though if you guys had any ideas on what else i could add to this game to make it more interesting/ set it apart from others projects. thanks
