My display looks like this when I power on the new system. I used my old GPU from a previous setup on my new build but it had to sit in my locker for about 2 months. It was wrapped up in an anti static bag and wasn't moved around much. Card: Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 4G Is it possible to fix this? Update: after letting it run like that for about 5 minutes, it seems to be working alright.

Hello, Im looking for some help with a colorful igame GTX 1080 ti vulcan AD graphics card that I recently bought (I didnt pay upfront, agreed to pay if it was working- thank goodness) 1) Placed into PCIE x16 slot with 8+8pin connection from PSU (650w, under recommended minimum but enough to test) on an old PC (Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3 + Intel Core i5-4670K). The fans did not spin. The centre fan LED pulsated red. Turned on the PC. No HDMI output. Switched to integrated graphics from CPU and loaded Windows 10. Started to install the recommended Nvidia drivers. During install, GEforce experience said it could not install drivers as there was no GPU installed. Reseated the GPU, didnt help. This computer was running a GTX 1060, then both RX 580 + RX 550. So the motherboard PCIE slots are working fine, and no issues with PSU. I uninstalled all drivers and tried to install Nvida drivers again, same issue - no GPU detected. 2) Placed the 1080 ti into PCIEx16 slot on new PC (Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE + AMD Ryzen 7 5800X + Corsair Rm 750i). I removed a RTX 3070, and replaced with 1080ti. Same issue, no output and not detected. 3) The 1080 ti was fairly rough. Had some rust, dust, and dirt on it. So I opened it up and cleaned with Isopropyl, cleaned the chip and reapplied thermal paste; put back together looking alot cleaner. There were no obvious shorts, or burns, or signs of damage. the rust was mainly on chasis and screws. The PCB was ok. 4) installed again into old PC. Same, LED comes on GPU + no fan + no output + not detected. 5) Created a MS Dos USB boot disk and used NVFlash to update the VBios. When I launched the exe file with the nvflash -4 -5 -6 BIOSromname.ROM, the error message said no Nvida adaptors detected. Based on the above, the GPU is the issue but I dont know what the fault is and whether it can be repaired. I kind of think that it is a power problem because the motherboards need a powered GPU for detection, however the LED light turns on but no fan? Keen to hear if this GPU can be salvaged or confirmation it is a brick.

I bought a asus gtx 980 4gb strix, the seller has now blocked me. I have tested it in three different computers, no display from any. Nvidia drivers will not install as it is not detected, Not detected in device manager, even tried booting DOS and ran nvflash "no nvidia graphics adapter detected". Red lights appear for power connections when put in and go white when power is connected. Fans don't spin but designed not to kick in till 65°C. I feel I have come to the end of the line and the heat gun is only option left from my research, is it? If anyone has any help please comment, if you need any more info I'll reply as soon as possible in uk and going bed soon so probably be in the morning.

So I just noticed that everytime I started my PC there's something like a green line showing up at random times at the bottom of my screen. I've looked at the Device Manager but it says that my gpu is still fine and working properly. So Im starting to wonder is it my GPU or my Connector ? I'm currently using a Zotac 950 AMP 2GB. Please help

OK so I'm looking for the specs on these capacitors for this specific Gigabyte G1 gaming GTX 1080 board(though I've seen them on a bunch of boards in the past) . . one of these popped off after a water block was removed and I'm trying to replace it completely with a new one The old one isn't getting enough contact and the power delivery is way off and sending temps soaring into the 80's . . the card used to sit at 66c at full load with most games or software When water cooled it was a nice cool 47c Anybody know the exact part?

Specs: CPU: i7 8700k: 4.7 Ghz 1.23v RAM: Corsair Vengeance 3200MHZ 32GB Mobo: Asus Maximus X Hero GPU: EVGA 2080 FTW3: 2100 Core, 8000 Memory PSU: Corsair RM750x I was on a LAN a few days ago and my PC was connected to a Power Line that died out of nowhere. I had a small noise problem before with my GPU but it wasnt this intense, only a slight noise that went away after I repositioned my PC. It could've been vibrations from my floor matt that is on a somewhat uneven wooden floor. But now it is that way whenever my GPU is hit with a load (doesnt matter if stock speeds or OC). The moment I pause a game or close it, the noise is instantly gone. I was wondering whether the Corsair RM750x might be at fault, cause there are many people that complained about general issues with that PSU on multiple sites and it might have taken a hit there. I did read that sometimes a faulty PSU could be at fault if the power isn't clean or so on, but it wouldn't surprise me if it is the GPU after all. General usage is not affected at all. There have been no difference so far from what I can tell, but the noise can really pierce through my open back headphones. Any help is really appreciated! VID_20200221_180716.mp4

Hello, I've had my gpu for about 3 years now. It's a Gainward GTX 970 that has been running at stock and only used for gaming and video rendering. Recently I've had some issues with it, While in games my computer would randomly crash giving me a blackscreen and a weird noise in my headphones. After rebooting the computer everything would be fine again. These crashes would occur maybe once a day. Then one time after a crash I decided to update my nvidia drivers. Whilst updating the drivers my screen went black and wouldn't turn on again for a long time so i rebooted my computer using the powerbutton. After that my computer now has problems displaying anything on the monitor. Sometimes it will let me get into Windows but then shortly after, the screen goes black once again and I can hear that windows popup sound like when you remove a USB device from the computer. It is very inconsistent and will only let me get in to Windows let alone the BIOS every now and then. I did borrow a friends RX580 which worked just fine and even let me play games without any crashes. Is it my 970 that is faulty or is it something else?

So around a year ago I got myself a Gigabyte 1050ti 4gb. It worked great, until today. I came home today around 6pm and when the screen turned on, I saw what I can only describe as if somebody threw water at a fresh painting. A portion of the screen was in different colours, another part was all blue and the rest was the desktop screen, but it was moved down to a corner and the icons looked unrecognizable. Turning the monitor off and on resulted in "No signal". Tried using HDMI cable instead of DP and got "No signal" again. Restarting the pc, and... it didn't wanna turn on. I took the gpu out, cleaned it of all dust and whatnot and put it back in its place. Pc turned on and everything worked, until after about 20min when i finished my dinner and saw the same screen i saw when I came home. Monitor would show no signal again, but the pc restarts now, and the monitor looks normal after a restart. Is the GPU done for or could something else be the issue? I will post pics if/when it happens again

Hello fellow PC enthusiasts and tech nerds. So..... I recently manage to get my hands on an RTX 3080 graphics card. I got really lucky and managed to get one less than a week after launch. But unfortunately, it stopped working after less than a week of me using it. The issue I’m having is as follows: I decided to play Star Wars battlefront II after leaving it to download overnight. Buy this point I had been playing lots of games on my new gpu like BDO, PUGB, CoDMW, etc. I had been experiencing the widespread issues that other RTX 3080 users had been experiencing like the crashing out of games and blue screening etc. But the new driver seemed to have fixed those issues and I had that driver installed at the time that I tried to play Star Wars battlefront II, however when I clicked play my pc just black screened and my monitor displayed “no signal”. So I went about troubleshooting. I tested the HDMI cable that I was using and that was not the issue. I then tested my monitor/the rest of the PC by plugging the HDMI cable into the motherboard and it worked perfectly fine with the onboard graphics. So obviously my next thought would be that it’s the gpu or the gpu drivers. So I booted into safe mode (using the gpu output I might add, meaning that it’s not the gpu output that is the issue). I used DDU to uninstall the Nvidia drivers then rebooted into safe mode and installed the latest drivers again and then rebooted into windows. But every time I try to boot into windows, I get a “no signal”. But here’s the confusing part..... it posts. Yep... it DOES post. And it displays the ASUS logo on the monitor for a bit until it freezes and displays “no signal”. I happen to have an old GTX 1060 which I swapped in to see if it would work and it did which confuses me even more. Now I don’t know what to do. I have the MSI Ventus model and I know MSI are good but who knows when I would get a new card back at this point in time (if I cashed in on the 3 year warranty). If anyone has any info that you think might help me out, please let share it. thanks!

Hi! I've tried reattaching the GPU twice as well as the CMOS battery. The problem still persists and my GPU isn't showing up in Device Manager. I've narrowed it down to two possible conclusions: faulty GPU or faulty PCIe slot. Some history: My second monitor was turning on and off yesterday. I thought it was just due to poor DP connection but the problem went away so I didn't think much of it My displays' connections kept dying today whenever I tried playing Overwatch. I heard an error message popup whenever that happens but I can't read that since my displays are dead. Some details: My GPU and PSU were bought brand new I've overclocked this GPU in the past (2 years ago) but I dialed it down to conservative settings ever since The hottest temperature my GPU hits is 87C GPU is updated with latest firmware Sigh. I suspect it has died and at the worse possible time. Crypto mining has driven up GPU prices (even freaking used GPUs) up. I was planning on upgrading on the year 2020. RIP me.

Hi everyone, Ive been playing far cry 4 on my new system and have been noticing some very odd performance. Framerate is OK but around outposts it dips into the 40's. This is fine and I dont expect my system to get amazing performance. However, I checked task manager and msi afterburner and its telling me that cpu usage is at 50% while GPU usage is absolutely all over the place. There is a screen grab of what they show when im in-game attached. Specs: AMD FX 8350 stock clock Asus M5A78L-M USB 3 MSI GTX 970 6gb DDR3 old ram (not too sure about clock speeds will check later)

Hello, I recently cleaned out my computer using a hair dryer. When I plugged everything in and turned it on, all I get is a blank screen, not even the bios will popup. I need urgent help I need to finish my work.
