Hi there Four weeks ago I finally left team Apple and built my own Pc. Assembling and setting it up was pretty easy, with the help of YT and the little knowledge I have from the time when my father built PCs in the early 2000. My Setup: MB: Rog Strix X570-E CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900x (stock cooler) GPU: Gigabyte 2070S Gaming OC 3X white Ram: 2x G.Skill Trident Z 3600mhz 8GB SSD: M.2 Corsair 960Gb PSU: Corsair RM850x White Case: NZXT H510i 4 days ago my Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super startet spinning its fans extremly fast even if the temperatures haven't been over 35°C (95°F). I didn't install any software that could affect the GPU except for the Nvidia drivers until the GPU startet to go crazy. A clean reinstall of the drivers didn't solve my problem, so i tried to control the fan speed with msi afterburner which didn't work as well. Does anybody have an idea how i could solve my problem? Thank you J.D Ps: Please excuse my grammatical errors, I'm from Switzerland and was sitting next to the window in english class.

Hey guys, first post here. I'm having an issue with my RTX 2080 Ti Aorus Extreme. Generally, when playing games after a while my GPU fans start spooling up to 100% speed for about 1 second, then return to the normal speed and after few seconds the action is repeated. This issue happened after I reinstalled the drivers with the DDU , so maybe this is the reason, but I couldnt find any anwsers. The only post I've found is this: but it's kinda old so instead of reviving it, I'm writing this one. And it wasn't solved. Like OP in the post mentioned above, I've set up fan curve both in Aorus engine and MSI Afterburner but it didn't solve the issue. Setting the fan speed to a constant percentage also didn't help. On the NZXT CAM software I can see that the GPU when under load constantly has the 85°C temp. What can be the culprit? Thanks in advance Specs: MB - Asus Z590-E CPU - i9 10900K Cooling - Z73 Kraken RAM - 32GB 3200MHz G.Skill GPU - 2080 Ti Aorus Extreme PSU - Corsair HX750i

Hey everyone! I currently have a 2080ti from Aorus. Problem is that I can’t steer the fan speed of my GPU. It’s going into turbo mode even though the temps are very low. I have tried several softwares and always update my drivers. Any suggestions as to what I should do?

i have a asus tuf fx505gt and it is only 8 months old. recently it has been giving fan problems. the fans speed up to 5800/6200rpm and the gpu fan is always at 0 rpm although i can feel it working but yeah. the fans are too noisy and this is not an overheating issue. this occurs even when not plugged into charge. i will provide screenshots please help me out. i have given the laptop to asus service centre too but they have only cleaned the fans and applied thermal paste and sent it back. due to covid i am not able to travel that far to the service centre. if anyone can help me out pls do. the last image is at the current time when im filling out this post i have reinstalled windows too, rolled back to previous bios also

Hey all, Problem is as described in title It started a short while ago seemingly out of nowhere. Basically when playing certain games (bannerlord, squad, holdfast and plenty of others in my library) my case fans will spike to 100% for short periods, often less than 5 seconds but up to 10 at times. I attempted to implement some fan smoothing settings both in my BIOS and with ARGUS as well as setting the fans to software controlled, reading temps from the cpu as suggested in this LTT thread but to no avail, these spikes continue to occur and continue to be the bane of my quiet loving existence. specs are as follows: Asus TUF x570 motherboard Gigabyte rtx 2070 super AMD Ryzen 3900X 16 gigs of corsair dominator ddr4 ram Boot drive is a Samsung 970 evo plus 1 TB nvme drive Game install drive is a 2 TB Seagate barracuda HDD CPU cooler is a coolermaster ml360r 360 mm rad with the 3 stock fans. these also function as the intake fans Exhaust fans are 1 Arctic f12 120 mm fan on the back and 2 Be quiet! pure wings 2 140mm fans on top. Thermal paste is Noctua NT-H1 No clue whats going on so i really hope you guys can help me. PS The intake fans on the rad are hooked up to an rbg controller from coolermaster if that matters.

I am experiencing an issue with my new GPU (RX 7900 XT) after switching from a GTX 1080, where upon pressing the power button on my PC, the GPU fans rapidly spin at ~100% capacity. This occurs even though the AMD Software (Adrenalin Edition) displays a low speed of approximately 445 RPM. Additionally, I have run the Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode and do not seem to have any Nvidia software remaining on my PC. Does anyone know how to fix this/what i could try? Im on pretty fresh installed Windows 11, i9 12900K

Hello there! I've noticed two things about my GPU (GIGABYTE GeForce RTX™ 2060 GAMING OC 6G) that started causing me some concerns. I have this gpu for about 9 months now, and about a month ago for one: The fan closest to the I/O when starts up or spins at a lower speed(i guess here it has to do with the second problem), releases sounds that i can only describe as creaking. Audio clip of the creaking at 10% fan speed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJSZ9csplXo (!!!VOLUME WARNING!!!) Secondly: Even if i set my fan speed to a specific number, it keeps "revving". I'll include an audioclip where i gently pressed a very thin plastic sheet at all 3 fans so you can exactly tell what i'm talking about. Audio clip of fans (at the end the constant low buzzing is checking my cpu fan also): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pbthr22w0F8 What is causing this, is this a problem and if so what are my options in fixing it? Thanks for the answers in advance!

Hello Guys its been a year that i'm using my mother board and everything was fine but recently somethings happening that i can't fix it and i need some help for that. My Fans were working Great but last night i found out that i cant change the RPMs. My CH1-Fan and CH3-Fan fans only work on full RPM, last night when i found out that i tried to reconnect CH1-Fan cable and the header was pretty warm that i couldn't event touch that! so i turned off the PSU and cleaned my CMOS but i cant set the RPM and they are working on full speed, the headers are four-pin headers and i connected three-pin fans and i know that it supports that because it was working for a year. the wired part that my CPU-Fan and my water pump and the CH2-Fan headers work perfectly. i also tried to replace the fans but same result. P.S: i tried BIOS and Al Suite 3 for changing the Fan Speeds but they are stuck and the fans are obviously detected and even the RPMs are shown in Bios and Al Suite

Hi there, So my story starts yesterday, when I desided to undervolt my CPU to improve thermals on my Asus ROG GL702VI gaming laptop. It worked like a charm and gave me about 15 degrees (Celsius) Improvement. Like many things in live, mankind tries to push it to the limit. And so did I. The system crashed, so I put it back to the point where it was stable again. After that I noticed that my ROG gaming center (bloatware, I know) Did't show me my CPU stats anymore. I tried reinstalling the program several times and changing my CPU settings back to normal. The gaming center isn't that important to me I must say, but I'm searching for a program which (like the gaming center) can show me my CPU, GPU stats and let's me control the fanspeed. My question to you is; Do you know a descent program to replace the gaming center?

I have a new gaming pc with the cooler master mb520 rgb. It sits on my desk but it makes 'a lot of noise' when it's on. When I'm studying this is a bit annoying. The 3 front fans are connected to the power supply and are running full speed, I think. I looked up what fans they are and I think they are Masterfan Pro 120's. But those have a 4-pin connector and mine have a 3-pin. As far as I know, there's only 1 fan header on my motherboard (gigabyte a320m-h). Is there a way to control my fan speed?

Hello everyone, Here's my issue, i made a custom loop WC just for my GPU (already had an X62 for my cpu) For now, i just ramp up the fan and pump speed before gaming or Folding. It's really a pain though so, I've searched for an answer here and on the web, but nothing came out, apart from:...Speedfan! But, as i have a X370 Ryzen Mobo none of it's fan headers are recognized by speedfan (some i'm stuck) Does anyone have a solution?(other than just pluging the two fans on the GPU fan header) Thanks.

I'm kind of at wits end here. I cannot find a way to get full control over my fans on my tower mostly, and while the noise isn't horrible, I would like it so I could at least have the fans basically shut down when the computer is at idle or under light load. I have an NZXT Noctis 450 with now 7 fans that are all 3 pin. I previously had them running into the built in "fan controller" but it turns out it was an uncontrollable hub so I replaced it with a Sliverstone controller that I have found out has done basically nothing because they are all 3 pin fans. Short of replacing all my fans with 4pin PMW's and a Commander Pro, is there anything else I can try? For reference I have 1 NZXT 120mm fan on at the rear, 2 Corsair AF120 Red's on top, and 4 Cooler Master Sickle flow red LED fans, 1 on top, 3 on the front.

Hi guys, I just reformatted my Gaming PC and installed the new CAM update to dial in the fanspeed. I planned on doing the same as before: Setting up the fanspeed and RGB options, once its done uninstalling CAM. However, the fanspeed does not seem to save after closing CAM! I set it to a static 800rpm, ramping up to 1500 when running hot. But about 10 seconds after closing CAM, the fanspeed ramps up to a static ~1250rmp. This is really annoying since the additional noise is really noticeable. The old CAM version did not do this. I also reinstalled CAM completely, still behaving the same. Does anyone have the same problem and did you manage to fix it?

I've been troubleshooting with a new temporary cooler while I get a replacement for my main one. I keep getting this error message. I can enter the bios, but I don't know how to fix it, all 3 of my fans are connected on the motherboard and only two of them are spinning. The one that isn't spinning I think only spins if it gets too hot, but my CPU is at 50 C right now.

Well hello everyone, I got some noise problems since I upgraded my CPU Cooler, which was the basic Intel device. Now I have a no name thing for around 20 bucks. After installing this new cooler, the pc got much louder so I searched around for a reason for that till I figured out that I can reduce the noice level by reducing the fan speed using SpeedFan. So I downloaded it, watched some vids about how to set it up and now I can actually turn the speed up and down but only down to 950-1000 rpm wich is still to fast. I played Mass Effect Andromeda some hours and the cpu wasn't even on 40 degrees, typing word docs doesn't even heat it up to 28 or so. Pls tell me something guys, I need to fix this.

Hey guys!So I had this Gigabyte Windforce 1080 GPU since november, but recently I started having weird issues. When running 2 games at a time (in this case Battlerite in the background, and was playing some Getting Over It) not really demanding games, I constantly had these waves of fan brutally spinning (I believe it is the GPU). First time it really scared me, in the video it may not sound very loud, but in reality it sounds like it's going to blow up. It's insane, and I really don't know what should I do. As you can see the GPU is not overheated or anything, its temperature is just fine, and I think it shouldn't behave like this. I am really really worried. As soon as I close the game, it completely stops, until I start some games again, then after a little time it starts all over again. But I repeat, NOT every time, which is really confusing...Here is the video (Sound on please) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5mRL0j3XOM Any suggestions if I should be worried or not? EDIT: I just closed all games, and just started overwatch. Without entering any match, within 2 minutes, the waves of the fan spinning started to come again. Althought I switched to Silent fans in the Gigabyte Gaming Engine. Why the hell is this happening?

So I recently built my PC and just played TF2 on it for the first time. The problem is that the fan speed was staying at around 20%, even when the temps were reaching 70+. I'm okay with noise, so obviously I want the fan speed to go up as the temperatures go up, but I'm not sure how to do this. I know the WattMan has this feature, but I am clueless on how to actually do it. Does anyone know a good guide on how to do it? Thanks

Hello forum people This is my first time writing something, so bare with me please. I build my very own pc YAY, it was a success. However, my fans are incredibly loud. I got a noctis 450 case, and iv'e used the stock fans. For my h100i v2 Iv'e decided to go with 2x sp 120 quite edition corsair. Recently, iv'e visited my friend and he had the exact same case noctis 450, but his is much quite. He told me he regulated his fans with fan speed. In my case I have zero experience with such. Yes he is a dickhead and won't help me, Feelsbadman. I hope someone can help me with how I could regulate my fans in such fashion that they would increase with the temperature, meaning they won't be at full speed all the time. My GPU is asus strix 970 oc ed

Hello. I recently purchased a Razer Blade 2014 14. I have 2 problems with it. The first problem is cpu temps. While the fans in the laptop do work, the fan curve seems to be a bit lacking. For example, when I ran Space Engineers, the cpu briefly jumped up to 93 degrees Celsius, before the fans sped up a bit and brought it back down to about 83 degrees Celsius. I know that this is within spec for the laptop, but it is still pretty dang hot and I will gladly sacrifice fan noise for more cooling. Is there any way to make the fan cooling curve more aggressive, so that the fans are running faster and keeping the cpu cooler? I have already tried to use speedfan, but it cant seem to find any fans or sensors to display and control. My second problem is less of an issue, but the illuminated razer logo on the back of the screen is very dim, and is not nearly as bright as in pictures, or even in Linus's video. It is not even close to as bright as the apple logo on my macbook. How do I increase its brightness? It is not affected by screen brightness, or keyboard brightness. Thanks.

Heey all, I have a problem with my pc. I have had my pc for about a year now and resently i am getting random shutdowns while the fans stay on and go full speed. This happens often while playing games, but sometimes I can play a game for a hour and then it happens but other times it shutsdown at launch of a game. I looked at the tempratures of my cpu but coulnt find a connection with the problem, they are somewhat high, cpu at max 80 but i dont know what temp it will shutdown itself. I also found that one of my motherboards temps was really high while the others were around 40. It started 2 days ago and now it happens every now and then. i remember having it once before long ago but it never repeated. this are my specs: i5 4670k + stock cooler MSI GTX 770 Gigabyte GA-Z87P-D3 CoolerMaster GM series G650M 2x4 gb crucial ballistix tactical I am running windows 7 on my pc. Does anyone know this problem and how to fix it? Thanks, Daan
