i jut did buy a that gpu and it was heating to 78c (i live in brazil so pretty hot in here) so i did buy a new thermal paste and changed it and got 72c in furmark but realized that whenever it hits the 72c mark the fan just go full on at 3600 ish rpm and stays like that until the temperature drops below the 72c and the weird is tha in msi afterburner i cant change the fan speed and when its max out it thinks it is around 66% of fan speed and it goes up but the rpm is at max alredy so it don't make any changes in the rpm sorry for the bad english and i would be glad if any of you know any awser to this problem. if it is a card fan speed controler problem or a driver problem

Hi, I own a Palit 3060 Ti Dual LHR and the fans starting making a cracking noise, I do not know what after market fans to get to replace them, . I will even take the shroud off and put regular pc fans on the radiator that is how annoying the noise has become Another reason i want to get rid of the shroud because if find it ridiculous that i need to have an app just to set an RGB color when windows starts. (I also use Linux and when i boot in Linux there is not app that can control that aspect for my GPU) This card does not have the capacity to store a color preference I mean why would Palit think that they know what color I like... wtf.. :)) Any suggestions ?

At the moment i am running a Dell XPS 15 9500 and I love it to bits, but whenever I connect up to a external monitor via USB type c and use the external monitor as the main screen with the lid of the laptop close the fans go crazy to the smallest task i do on the laptop, dose anyone know any fixes for this ?

Hi everyone, I have a fan problem with my Gigabyte GTX 1660 super gaming OC (3 cooling fans). At some point, the 1st and 2nd fans start spinning very fast, while the 3rd fan is not spinning at all. The sound is really loud, like a vacuum cleaner as you can see (and listen to) in the video below: In order to investigate the issue, I used the Aorus Engine tool and used the default fan profile, as shown below: This didn't solve the problem. Then I saw this similar post using MSI Afterburner's default profile so I decided to raise the idle fan speed from 0% to 5%. Now the fans never stop spinning completely so I run into this problem less frequently. Hence, I guess the problem is mostly caused when the fans try to completely stop spinning. Some further info: The problem happens only when the fans try to stop spinning. When the fans are idle and then start spinning because of a rise in temperature, both 3 fans spin without a problem. I have updated the nvidia drivers and the gpu bios to the latest version but that didn't fix the problem. When not using any custom fan configuration but having Aorus Engine open, I noticed something strange: When the 1st and 2nd fan were spinning (but not the 3rd), the tool displayed the fan speed as 0% (as if no fan was spinning). Also, when at this weird state, fans 1 and 2 spun even faster (and louder) than when configured to spin at 100%. Also, when in that state, restarting my pc doesn't fix the problem (fans 1 and 2 keep spinning). The only way to stop the fans is either turn off the pc or give a gentle tap to the 3rd fan (the one that isn't spinning). Then, it starts spinning for a split second and then both 3 fans stop spinning altogether (until boh 3 fans start spinning again when the temperature rises, without a problem). Despite partly "fixing" the problem with the custom profile, I would like to know your thoughts, if you have encountered anything similar (e.g. maybe this post) and possible ways that I can fix the issue (if possible). I say sorry in advance for bad English and my bad knowledge about computer! Hi I have had some problem lately, Cpu have been overheating arounf 80-90 Celsius around 40% use. Problem i have come up with is that bios dont recognise my fans. And i Think its because of the Fan hub fron NZXT and Deepcool, So my specs are Motherboard: Z170 , bios vers 1206 Cpu: Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake GPU: Msi Gtx geforxe 770gt 4gb Cpu Cooler: Deepcool maelstrom 120t 2 x Corsair Air Series AF120 Quiet edition on the CPU Cooler Case: NZXT H440W Silent Ultra RAM: Kingstons Hyperx 2x 8 2133 Mhz Harddrives 2 x 500 gb SSD: Samsung 128 gb Images : Total 6 fans in the case , 2 on cpu cooler , 4 around the case i have set the cpu coolers pump into CPU_OPT and the cpu fans to a hub and then to CPU_FAN, The other fans are connect to a FAN through NZXT HUB So im wondering how to fix this overheating problem, in the bios i have set min to 200 rpm but cannot apply,

So what my problem is that basically when I turn off my computer, the rgb fans don't seem to remember it's color. When I turn my pc back on the rgb color is set to its default color. Do you guys have any idea of what's going on? Thanks in advanced! :)

Hey. One fan of my R9 380 series GPU is just restarting over and over. It also makes a little noise when it restarts like it stops hard or something... I bought this fan on ebay like a year ago and it had new fans. Ran really good until recently. I am decent with computers but not amazing with fans. My room has good temps lol I attached a system information screenshot and PSU Things I have Done cleaned fan and whole pc tried msi afterburner & fanspeed made sure bios is updated got the fan out and re screwed it in perfectly formatted my whole pc and reinstalled windows changing pci e slots ( card takes two 6 pins) i just put them the other way and it didnt do anything Things I want to try replace bearings in fan? the above video shows a possible fix. I cannot get there however in my amd program. It updated since the video. If anyone has any way to do that without going on the software, let me know so i can try please!

Hello, first excuse my bad english I am from germany. for months I have a strange problem with the second fan of my EVGA RTX 2060 Super. The fan is running by itself with a loud rattling sound. The first fan is working perfectly fine. It is always only the second fan. The fan is free and does not grind on something. Problem is that this is not always the case. Mostly only when the pc was running für 1+ hour. Then for about a minute the fan is rattling and slowly starting to run. After it started to run with about 250rpm for some seconds it stops and is quiet again. If I then manually let the fans run or start a game it takes about 5-15 minutes of the fans running until the second fan does not rattle anymore and does not fluctuate in speed. If the fans are running always and zero fan is off, then the problem does not exist anymore. Also when I power off the pc or disable the graphics driver, the second fan starts to run if the pc did run about an hour or more without much GPU usage. Of course the fan stops when the pc is shut down completely. I have the newest graphics driver from Nvidia 452.06. I also tried other older drivers including the first one for the super cards 441.20 without success. I have Windows 10 Pro x64 2004 The mainboard is an MSI B450M Pro VDH V2 with bios 7A38v85 I also tried newer bios versions without success for the problem. power supply is an beQuiet Pure Power 11 500 Watt I dont have the possibility to try the card on another pc. I already sent it to my shop where I bought it. They checked the card for 2 days and did not find any problem. After I got the card back I also did not notice the problem for about 4 weeks until it came back without any change on the system. Maybe you have an idea or heard about this problem. I am a bit worried about sending it in to EVGA directly and then maybe they also can not find a problem. Here are some videos I made of the problem. here I where in the BIOS:

System: - MSI z490A-PRO mb - Intel i7 10700k CPU - noctua cpu cooler - g.skill RipjawV 2x8gb 3200 mhz RAM - MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super Ventus XS OC - Uphere RGB case fans - 550W 80+ bronze EVGA PSU - 1tb +256 gb pcie nvme ssd - Windows 10 Pro - Bios version E7C75IMS.200 (whatever that means) I have a z490 MSI mb and changing the fan curves in the BIOS doesn't seem to do anything. They light up and spin fine but just constantly run at full speed (1400 rpm) even when my CPU temps are in the low 30s. They are Uphere fans that i got for cheap on amazon. The controller is plugged into the RGB fan header and the pwm is plugged into the 4 pin CPU fan slot. I'm sure that the fan slot works because i could control my original brown noctua fan just fine with it. I'm not sure whats going on because the fans definitely have power. and lighting. The fan speed shows up in the BIOS too. I'm pretty sure this isn't the latest version but my USB stick doesn't seem to be bootable so I cant m-flash the bios. Any thoughts?

Hello, I have a 980 ti (full specs in my signature), and recently (probably been about a week now) the middle of the triple fans stopped working. It starts up then it stops and repeats the cycle. If you need more info I can try to record it with my phone.

I'm thinking this is just a defective fan, but aren't quite sure and therefore just have to ask if it's maybe just normal... (: I'm running 2-Way SLI with MSI GeForce GTX 660 TF III cards, where I just noticed that one of the fans on my second card doesn't run... I tried to use MSI Afterburner to set the fan speed to 100%, where it then started spinning after a couple of seconds... But when I manually sets the fan speed below around 85% it then stops spinning again. And it doesn't matter if they are synchronised or not. Temperatures are around 44/36 (GPU1/GPU2) celsius on normal webbrowsing use ("idle")

Recently my computer encountered some kind of a glitch. I was rendering a video and left the computer for 5 mins, when i came back the screen was black so i clicked enter, moved my mouse etc. i also checked the cables but they were all connected firmly. I restarted the computer in spite that it will fix itself but the screen was still black so i put the cable into the MB and not in the gfx, and the screen popped but i was running on the internal gpu with no sign of my HD7970. Turned off the PC, reset cmos and switch to the 2nd bios on the gfx, connected everything and the screen worked. What i noticed while my computer was on my desk, that the 2nd fan doesn't work until ~75% fan speed, when it reaches that % it automatically turns on and with full speed. Now im wondering is it something to do with the 2nd bios? Should i take my GFX to my retailer with warranty or is it a driver problem?

Hello users of linustechtips, I own a Dell XPS L702x. I have it for about 3-4 years now. But I had to re-install windows (replace HDD) due to Hard drive failure. After I reinstalled windows everything seemed work fine. I installed stuff like Google Chrome, steam etc. I also had to install a driver for my GPU (GT 555M). So I installed the latest NVIDIA driver (v. 352.86) and Geforce Experience also came with it. After I installed the driver my laptop fan started to act a little odd. My laptop fan kept turning on and off. On for 5 seconds then off for 5 seconds etc. Strangely, my fan could only spin without stopping when I played games such as Garry's mod, Skyrim or CS:GO. My laptop keeps overheating when I'm doing regular stuff such as surfing on the web or playing games similar to Super Hexagon, Binding of Isaac or Osu. NOTE: This didn't happen before I installed the NVIDIA driver and Geforce Experience. Any help will be appreciated.

Hey guys, So i have had my PC for 2,5 years, noticed couple weeks ago and my computer was having weird noise and just throught it was some dust. Cleaned it today and keep'd side panel off and noticed that the right side fan didn't work properly, (Right side fan spins every 4-5 sec for a moment and then does it again and again... and that is very annoying sound) Sorry for bad english appreciate advices
