Hi, I bought a used PS3 Controller CECHZ2H-A1. Obviously thia is the Hong Kong Version. I took it apart and board, shell, motors etc. seem to be all legit. But wut I can't get in my head is why this unit has a seemingly legid label with NO serial number. Not faded. Just nothing. Can someone explain?

So for many years my i5-11400 always topped at 78C under the heaviest load 95-100% with the stock cooler when i bought it. After around 2 years my temp became 94C under load. So i replaced my thermal paste with an MX-4 that looks like this. And the temperatures did not change. And i mean at all. So i emailed Arctic and they said its 90% fake. But they need to check with their Department of something. Anyway a friend of mine suggested the Noctua NT-H1 (I live in Egypt so a new cpu cooler is 80$+) Will the NT-H1 show any differences than the fake MX-4 im using right now? If yes is it worth it? Or do i get the cooler master mastergel pro v1 or 2?

I have a Dell G15 5515 Ryzen Edition, bought in October 2021 on Amazon. This has BSODs which Dell is not interested to fix. Instead they want me to subscribe their some kind of support plan in order to get support. What newegg? In Germany Amazon is also shady. Hi all! I had the misfortune of getting a GPU from AliExpress that seems to be fake. I was devastated at first but I'm not the type to fully give up and am the type to be very curious. So I embarked on a journey to discover how those scammers work and just wanted to figure things out. After many weeks of much trial and error, watching YouTube videos and much research, I still can't figure this out, so I'm appealing for help. Here's what I got. I bought what they claimed was a GTX 970. Once finding out it's not, I went on to find out what I thought was a GTX 550ti. I was wrong. I think it's a GTS 450. There are 4 VRAM chips. Each are 1Gb, or 128MB. So this must be a 512MB card. The GPU has GF106 written on it. There rest is mostly crossed out to hide the true GPU variant, but I think it's the GF106-110-KA-A1. This confirms it's a GTS 450. At first I thought it was a 1GB card, but anyway, upon going to techpowerup (https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/?architecture=NVIDIA&manufacturer=&model=GTS+450&version=&interface=&memType=GDDR5&memSize=512&since=) to find a viable BIOS, only 1 match came up: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/108773/palit-gts450-512-110121 It didn't work. Windows freezes on load (the twirly circles) and sometimes it has graphical artifacts (blue/purple lines). Safe mode works fine. If I load up Windows with disabled signed drivers, Windows loads up, but GPU-Z reports the GPU is just the Microsoft Basic Video Adapter, and nothing can be done to get drivers for it. I tried other BIOS ROMs too (other GTS 450), but I get similar results. What can I do?I don't want to give up getting this card to work! Thanks for helping!!

I'm looking at used threadripper chips on eBay and noticing a lot of "made in china" on them (titles as well as on the chips themselves). Normally, I'd use that as a red flag to stay away for a higher end item but the whole "let's pretend Taiwan isn't it's own country" thing came to mind and now I gotta know the truth. Is this political BS (China forcing the international community to treat Taiwan as something it isn't, a Chinese province, and that ending up on the actual dies themselves as "made in China") or is this seller BS (a seller selling knockoff goods). Anyone know the answer to this one?

Hey, I was just giving all of my pc parts a run over, double checking for any defects etc and realised that my Samsung 970 evo plus has a few things that seem a little strange about it. First and foremost the packaging is different to that of what is on the product listing, the ssd and text are shown vertically; but perhaps this is due to where live (UK). Secondly the ssd had different logos etc printed on the back that again could be due to where I live and the regulations here but I also noticed that it has "samsung ssd" in bold white letters printed directly on the back of the pcb. And, finally, one side of the ssd seems to have two indents (not sure if the photo shows it) which I am not sure if there are supposed to be there or not. See attached photos. Just realised too that the smds on the pcb do not match the 970 evo plus but instead match the 980 pro??? This is the same for the package styling.... Any help is appreciated! I apologise in advance, I know this is stupid however I really can't afford to screw up here as my uni course begins soon. Thanks for the help and stay safe, Lex.

This does NOT look legit and just wanted to post it here to let the team know. So about 6 months ago I purchased what was advertised as an "external SSD" basically to use a s a storage drive on a pi4 NAS. I then changed my mind and used both the drive and the aforementioned pi4 for a new project (I'll make another post when finished) This new project is supposed to be portable and (semi) rugged. During my setup process I had to remove the SSD from the bulky plastic case. Upon doing so I was shocked to find that it was not in fact an ssd but rather a HDD. Western digital scammed me. P.s. ignore the velcro it was for the nas.

Hi, long ago when I was a freshman at university, there was this rumor around which said that you couldnt enter the USA, if you had a laptop on you which was encrypted. Now, in the years working in the Industry, I've come across different variations about that story, some would be that it only applies when you are suspicios, or some would be that it only affects people going to china or russia. Is there any thruth to this ? or is it really just a urban legend ? -

So i bought a fake GTX 750ti 2gb but it actually a 550TI 1gb. i am trying to flash the bios back to the 550ti and i am having problems with NVflash and I have tried almost everything even using --protectoff and --overriderfdes any suggestions?

I was looking around for a budget GoPro alternative, and I came across this: The SJCAM SJ400 It seems to have it all (within reason)-1080p video recording (albeit with 30FPS), wifi capabilities, 170 degree lens, built in lcd, a plethora of included accessories (as well as gopro accessory compatibility), all for a price of $80 USD All of the reviews I found pointed to it being a great camera, especially for the price So, the question still remains Is it a decent camera? I know that it won't be comparable to any gopro, except maybe the cheap Hero, but I want to have other opinions on whether this budget camera may actually be pretty awesome. Hey guys, i'm building my first computer and ordered a Samsung 500gb 850 Evo from gearbest (link here). It arrived yesterday and i think it could be fake becasue -its didn't arrive in a proper box just and electro static bag -it feels very tinny and not very premium (though this could just be inexperience as i havn't handled many SSDs in my life) -it only weighs 41g and on the Samsung website they say it should weigh 54g max Do you guys think it could be fake, or are there way for me emperically test if it is? I'm not sure if I have fake MacBook Pro 15 2016, I've found two things that indicate that this is fake mac. Big enter button and in about this mac it doesn't say early or late. All other specs are right, at least I didn't see anything wrong.

This piss anyone else off See the SSD on this site, looks pretty sick with that nice black heat spreader and would look awesome in my system.. go check it out on the site and its completely different. Now I'm not asking for anything or want them been held to it, couldn't care that much, but does anyone else find this Damn annoying. Also post any if you know of them or got a product that wasn't like advertised
