For ages, I have looked for a case that is more compact and can fit a matx, a graphics card and have plenty of space for cooling. I have noticed most sff matx cases either only have space for Low Profile GPUs or could only have larger GPUs if mounted vertically. Well now i found the case for me, and trust me I was to get it from this website as well, see in the link below. https://uk.banggood.com/Micro-ATX-ITX-Black-USB-2_0-Office-Gaming-Computer-Destop-Case-PC-Cases-LED-Fan-p-1626469.html?utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=cpc_organic&gmcCountry=GB&utm_content=minha&utm_campaign=minha-gbg-en-pc¤cy=GBP&cur_warehouse=CN&createTmp=1 If card removed alot of the unnecessary space i found at the font of most cases and with it being MTAX the height is as small as can be with a ATX PSU making it 270 * 175 * 354mm. Now this case can be shipped to most countries and if you are in the UK you can get free shipping but it is a plain Chinese case. Just thought id post it to save someone ease searching for one as I did. If anyone has any other ideas, please post here as well.

Hello, I was wanting to upgrade my motherboard in the near future, and I need help determining the old one's form factor, the model is L-IG41M, and I want to buy one with the same form factor to avoid problems when installing it. Also, if possible, I need someone to recommend me a decent motherboard to replace this one, the requirements are 1. Socket 775 2. DDR3 memory type 3. At least one PCIe slot, preferably the newest version to support new graphics cards 4. Supports overclocking 5. Not too expensive, I will be buying it used. EDIT: I'm using a modded Xeon as a cpu, so the new motherboard should not require microcode flashing to support my CPU

I'm just looking for help to build a computer for my dad. I'll give the quick rundown of what I'm looking to build: So we had bought my dad a new laptop (14" screen) a year or so ago and he complains how his eyes hurt because the screen is so small. Now we can buy him a new 15.6" laptop or even a 17" laptop, but ultimately I think it will still be too small for him and he will just end up complaining again. The problem is he likes to work at the kitchen table so to build a bigger bulky computer wouldn't be the ideal solution. SO, I had the idea to build a smaller computer that we could just leave in the living room or something and have the monitor, keyboard, etc., off somewhere else so whenever he wanted to do work it would be a quick setup. Thoughts and ideas? Thanks guy! I love this community and I know I'll get the help I need here.

Hi! I'm thinking about size downgrade, because my PC is quite too big for me now. I have Corsair Air 540 case, and it is way too large for me. Recently I started to get interested in SFF cases and PC's and that's my pick for today: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/rPRYTB And here's my concerns: 1) Graphics Card Size. I know, that case SHOULD support that card, but if I want to use CPU Cooler (240mm radiator on front of the case), it will take off some space. Any idea if it will fit? 2) Thermals. My graphics card is quite hot (around 50c in my case now on idle, which has two 140mm intakes blowing on her, two outtakes on top through radiator from my NZXT Kraken x64 and one outtake on back). It would't have much clearence, and on weekends PC can run for 24h non-stop with game turn on all the time. That will cause issues. Anyone have something similar and can post some thermals or problems that he came across? Thanks!

Hi there! I'm studying in university now away from my home country, and want to build a small form factor PC that I can bring along with me while I'm at uni and then bring back home over the holidays. The PC will mostly be for gaming, some light programming, and essay writing. The games I'm looking at are PUBG, Fortnite, Dota 2, FIFA, and maybe Far Cry 5. Here's the parts I'm looking at along with questions that I hope some kind soul can help to answer. Here's the full build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/VzgYTB Case: Fractal Design - Node 202 HTPC Case From what I've seen and read, a really slick and slim case that is about the size of an xbox. Believe I saw JayzTwoCents do a build on it and it was beautiful. Only problem is that I'm not a pro-builder so it might be more difficult to cable-manage. CPU: Intel - Core i5-7500 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor I don't do any video editing or anything currently that requires anything more than 4 cores so I think it'll be good enough to get an i5. Plus, I'm not planning on overclocking it anytime soon as I simply won't have the cooling to support it. However, I'm a little wary of future proofing as coffee-lake has been out for about a year and I believe the 9000 series Intel chips should be coming out anytime soon, so I'm worried that buying kaby-lake in 2018 might leave me vulnerable in just a few months. Is there a release date that anyone is privy to? (Google results aren't very conclusive) Should I just pay a little bit more for the 7600? Or even more for the 8500/8600 and change the motherboard? CPU Cooler: Silverstone - NT08-115X 47.0 CFM CPU Cooler The case I've chosen doesn't allow for any sort of beefy CPU cooler, so I've opted for this one. I'm a little worried that a 7500/7600 could overpower a small cooler like this. One side question, can anybody confirm whether the CPU or CPU cooler comes with decent thermal paste? Need to know whether I should buy it separate. Motherboard: MSI - B250I PRO Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard I'll admit, I haven't done much research on this component. I simply went on pcpartpicker and chose a decent board that didn't have compatibility issues. Any comments? Mini ITX fits into the case as per Fractal's website and it's LGA1151 as per the CPU. RAM: Crucial - 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory RAM prices are really insane right now so I chose 2 highly-rated DDR4-2400 sticks. Problem with the motherboard is that there's only 2 RAM slots so upgrading would mean 2x16GB which I believe might be overkill. GPU: Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Mini ITX OC Video Card The only reason I'm using this GPU is because I'm going to scavenge it from a AORUS 1070 Gaming Box eGPU that I currently use in conjunction with a Dell XPS 13 9350. So I'm going to take the eGPU apart and use it. The Node 202 can fit a full sized GPU so I guess it would just be wasted space on the side of the case. PSU: Silverstone - Strider Gold 450W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular SFX Power Supply Not much comments here. A highly-rated PSU that fits the Node 202. Storage SSD: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive A good all-round SSD. HDD: Seagate - BarraCuda 2TB 2.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive I'm a bit worried about this. Fractal's website states that the Node 202 has room for 2 2.5" SSDs, but makes no mention of HDD enclosures. Is anyone with the case or who has experience with it able to confirm whether or not I can squeeze a HDD in it? Going full SSD seems a bit expensive so I'm hoping to be able to use a HDD. Also, all of my past builds have only used 7200RPM HDDs; is there a noticeable difference with 5400RPM ones? I'm mostly going to store games in the big drive and I know it'll affect loading times, but by how much? Thank you so much for reading through my build, and any comments at all would be much appreciated!

Hey everyone got a quick question, will the Asus X99-E WS/USB3.1 fit inside my case? This board says it's SSI-CEB which is just more wide, I got plenty of room width wise. My case: http://www.lian-li.com/en/dt_portfolio/pc-v1000l/ in silver I'm looking at Workstation boards with ECC support so if this won't work I will just get the Asrock X99-WS which is E-ATX and I know fits in my case. Anyone have an opinion in as to Asrock for Workstation? Cheers!

Hello all! I would like to build my very own gaming PC for the first time in my life! BACKGROUND: I had about 4 PCs which I bought off of someone and upgraded it myself. This includes, a couple of video cards, processors, ram, HD and so on.(But never touched the power supply nor the motherboard.) I also repair laptops as a hobby, I had 2 in my life which I had to do a motherboard swap in one and a display swap in the other. OVER ALL I NEVER BUILD A PC FROM SCRATCH BUT I FIND MYSELF FIT FOR THE JOB AND I WANT TO ENTER THE GLORIOUS PC GAMING MASTER RACE WITH FLYING COLORS! The one problem I have is that I lack the knowledge to find a suitable motherboard for my future pc. WHAT I PLANNED TO ACQUIRE SO FAR: i5 6400 8gb HyperX fury ddr4 and a COOLER MASTER ELITE 130 case good?bad? give me your opinion! I am struggling on the power supply department as well. I was thinking about the Corsair 750W CS SERIES because it is modular and has an 80plus gold rating which will be more than enough for me (and maybe an overkill as well?). I have no idea what motherboard I should use because I feel that my knowledge is equal to tiny sand grain in a dessert in this area. (or insert any other horrible metaphor here) Only thing I do know is that its have to be mini itx because otherwise it won't fit. I have a couple of video cards laying around but I am open for any reasonable suggestions below 200 euros. tldr; I plan to get PC components in a couple of months so I'm in no rush. The build must be under a 800-900 euros altogether. Must be compact and the main focus will be the psu, cpu, and if it's worth getting ddr4 over ddr3. I know jack shit about motherboards so feel free to lecture me about some. I will use this pc for work, entertainment, entry level gaming.(although I do wish to play battlefront on it at some point.) I live in Ireland so might have to get the parts from eBay or other online stores.(I don't know if it will affect anything I'm just making sure) IF I'M COMPLETELY OFF IN THE WRONG DIRECTION AND ALL I DID IS WASTED 10 MINUTES OF YOUR LIFE BY READING THIS NONSENSE, PLEASE GIVE ME FEED BACK AS I AM CLEARLY LOST, TAKE MEHAND AND GUIDE ME THROUGH THE DARKNESS OF THE FILTHY CONSOLE GAMING PEASANTS AND INTO THE LIGHT OF THE PC GAMING MASTER RACE WHERE I WILL FIND PEACE AT LAST! Thank You!

Hello you wonderful people, I am planning a build for college and I basically have to take my PC on the plane over there. Why you ask? Because in the US it is about $200 cheaper to buy the parts I want for my build than it is in the UK (where I will be for college). So I have my list on PcPartPicker.com all picked out lookin good and then I think, I have about the right case but is there more? Some other case out there that I should know about? Or maybe a rule or regulation that says I can't take a desktop in my carry on bag or as my carry on (idk of any plane forums to ask this in)? So my question to you is is my build acceptable for transport by air and do you know of any rule about computers on airplanes other than they have to be turned off during takeoff. Also what do you think of my case? I also do not know what sub-forum to post this in so general it is!! Also feel free to discuss computers on planes all day on here, you people are frikin fantastic! PcPartPicker list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mGQKzy Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

My current GPU just died. (Palit GTX 570). PIC OF RIP Haven't measured it yet myself, but Palit's site says its 228 x 112 mm. Now, the current card fits VERY snuggly. I mean VERY. a 230 x *** card probably wouldn't. So I need help finding a card that would. Budget is <400eur, so most likely a 970. The list so far: STRIX 170 x 122 GTX970-DCMOC-4GD5 369eur GIGABYTE 168 x 123 GV-N970IXOC-4GD 348eur ZOTAC 204 x 111 ZT-90101-10P 368eur Any other suggestions, or should I go for it ? Noticed i posted in wrong category. Because of the fucked up lines misread CPU as GPU. If mod or anyone would relocate this (if needed) that would be nice.

So I hope all you guys are having a nice day! I have already built a PC but that was months ago, so I want to build a Mini ITX PC. I already selected all Parts, but I don't know if all the LED's and fans will fit and connect. Here are the Parts; Case: Corsair Carbide Air 240 (Cube, Schwarz) GPU: ASUS GTX-660 Ti DirectCU II 2GB GDDR5, PCI-E x16 3.0 (2.05GB) CPU: Intel Core i5 6500 (LGA 1151, 3.20GHz) RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x, 4GB, DDR4-3200, DIMM 288) PSU: Corsair RM Series RM550 (550W) LEDs: 2X PHOBYA LED-Flexlight HighDensity (Red, 36, 300mm) Fans: Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition, Rote LED, 2 Pack (120mm) Mainboard: MSI Z170I GAMING PRO AC (LGA 1151, Intel Z170, Mini ITX) CPU Cooler: Raijintek Triton 240mm So, my Question is if I can actually build this RIG. My main problem is, I don't know if I have enough fan ports and where do I plug in the LEDs? (7 Fans or 5 Fans, 2 300mm LEDs) I know how to build the RIG itself but I have no clue where to plug in all those fans and LEDs. I apologize for my bad English, I'm from Switzerland. I have been thinking about building a lan rig for quite some time and with skylake out now, I finally want to do it. What I have planned so far: - i7-6700k - 16 GB DDR4 (as fast as possible , 3000MHz or more) - Samsung SM951 M.2 nVME 256GB SSD - Zotac GTX 980Ti reference (from my main rig) I would like to go as small as possible, as I only need one GPU and storage is covered by the M.2 disk. So I'd need a combination of case + psu + cooler + motherboard supporting the other parts mentioned above. Preferably the case should have a window and look somewhat nice. Handle would be nice, but not needed if its small enough already. Also the cooling solution should be adequate, as the cpu will be oc'd.

Can I fit any PSU in any case, or are there form factors?
Dolefish posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Okay so I'm about to buy these two things: - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-113-AE&groupid=2362&catid=2278 <--- Case - http://www.dabs.com/products/gigabyte-h61m-usb3v-s1155-intel-h61-ddr3-matx-8R5N.html?refs=469740000&src=3 <--- Motherboard Will any PSU I buy fit in this micro ATX case? Or is there something I need to take into account? Thanks -
Hello I'm looking to build a new gaming rig surrounding the new GTX980 and the Corsair 750D. What I've got around so far. CPU: i7 4790K Motherboard: Asus Z97M-PLUS RAM: 16GB Kingston FURY DDR3 1866 CPU Cooler: Swiftech H220-X Case: Corsair 750D GPU: GTX 980 PSU: Corsair RM650 Storage #1 - 250GB Samsung 840 EVO Storage #2 - 1TB WD Blue Can you all help me get the best build surrounding those two items? I game on a 1440p monitor with two auxiliary monitors, mainly for multitasking purposes. I will be using the computer for programming as well as gaming. Oh and the budget is about 1600 USD, monitor, OS and peripherals not needed.

I'm running a BitFenix Prodigy and kind of want something smaller just to try. Current temps with an H80i on my CPU run about 45C under BF4. The system specs are as follow: GPU - Asus 680 4GB (Dual Slot model) CPU - Intel i5 3570K @ 3.4 GHz CPU Cooler - H80i SSD - Samsung 840 Pro 256GB RAM - Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB 1833 (2x 8GB sticks) PSU - Corsair AX750 Motherboard - Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe Would I be able to drop this into the case and have it not...well...melt? $60 isn't expensive yet nor is it chump change and I don't want to drop the money on it if it won't work. Not bad since I only hit 45 while playing the games I play. Keep in mind the 2 fans (120mm) on the top are both blowing down and in (yes one of them has the rad from the H80i on it). Front one is blowing in as well. The only air out is the 120mm on the rear and the PSU. If I don't get the new case I may start investing in a water cooling set up for this rig but I know nothing about even where to start. Opinions are needed!

Lian Li continues to release small form factor PC enclosures, even though one would think that the impending arrival of Haswell Intel CPUs would make everyone look for mid-tower systems and larger. Regardless, the company has introduced the PC-TU100, a mini-ITX enclosure with a design reminiscent of a briefcase. It even has one of those big handles, so that owners can easily carry it around instead of having to cradle it like a particularly bothersome box. Physically, it measures 158 x 275 x 242 mm (6.2” x 10.8” x 9.5”) and weighs 1.77kg (3.9lb). It also has enough room on the inside for graphics cards 190 mm / 7.48 inches in length. If buyers find a mini-ITX motherboard with a PCI Express 3.0 or 2.0 x16 slot, they should actually pull off a gaming configuration. Other specs include two 2.5-inch drive bays, a slim ODD bay (can be filled with a third 2.5-inch drive), and a PSU compartment for SFX supplies (up to 170 mm / 6.69 inches). http://news.softpedia.com/news/Lian-Li-Aluminum-Mini-ITX-Chassis-Debuts-356773.shtml

What is your favorite and why?

I searched (or at least tried) and didn't find this. The question is about form factor of tablets. What do you prefer? 7"-8" or 9"-10"? I personally prefer 9"-10" because the difference between that and a phone is much bigger and (for me) it holds "more better". Discuss.

Hey Guys! I've watched Linus' video about the GTX Titan Small Form Factor Gaming PC and was thinking about doing the same. However I'm on a budget and I'm trying to make it as efficient as possible. Basically I have a couple of requirements I want to meet. 1. Be able to run Battlefield 3 in Ultra/High and the upcoming Battlefield 4 in at least High/Ultra - Same for Crysis 3, Assassin's Creed. 2. Mini PC case with mini-ATX and CPU water cooling if possible. Do not want to water cool the entire system as it will cost more money. 3. A good PC for video editing, streaming and Wi-Fi because I want to stream gameplay from PS3/PS4(Upcoming). A lot of space. 4. As cheap as possible. Could anyone help me? As cheap as possible but still very high-grade products.

It's a very plain design, seems to want to be half living room case, half LAN gaming case. I'd have to admit, my mother would probably be more OK with this case next to the TV than the BitFenix Prodigy. However, I'm fairly sure that if I moved my ITX system out of my Prodigy and into this and then took it to a LAN, people I regularly see at such events would ask me what the F I was doing. With this case having a vertical motherboard arrangement, it should be about 30% smaller than the BitFenix Prodigy. What that will mean in terms of sacrifices, we don't know yet. The box has a built in PSU that EVGA claims is enough for a GTX 780 and otherwise normal gaming configurations, and then some. Exact PSU wattage is not known. There appears to be room for a 240 rad in the top. http://www.overclock.net/t/1397411/tweaktown-evga-debuts-new-itx-box-at-computex-taipei-2013 Further details added by @davidvu396 :
