To begin this, I've been using my mom's PC since we moved back from New York. I recently downloaded a mod for GTA5 called FiveM (GTA5 Multiplayer). I began experiencing crashes with FiveM since I got it, mostly saying "NVIDIA GPU Driver Issues" but my GPU doesn't struggle and is fine with other games and GTA itself. Sometimes it's a dll error or an exe error. I'll provide some crash dumps from some crashes I've received. On top of these crashes, sometimes they happen when I'm playing and then will crash again immediately as I'm on the FiveM menu. On 3 cases now, I've had a BSOD in the middle of a session on FiveM. I have two photos of bsods and their error codes. I don't think it's my hardware but rather something with my system vs FiveM because I also discovered that FiveM's diagnostic tool doesn't prompt a text file as it should when you run it. When I ran a dll scan or whatever (sfc /scannow) and another command (DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth) which I will provide results with in photos below too. Well, we (a FiveM Discord member and I) thought maybe it was just missing dlls but just today, I crashed a few times again and received my 3rd bsod. I began to dig further into some tools windows 10 has and I found Event Viewer and another one that scans for errors. I'll provide screenshots for those. The Event Viewer screenshot is filtered to critical errors which show 64 total critical errors. I'm trying a method presented by a YouTube video on an error for ID 41 but I'm not sure if it will exactly work. Any thoughts or ideas?

ill cut to the chase suddenly wifi not connecting on my pc its only on my pc for some reason had pci driver issues, fixed them updated windows 11 all pending software updates checked out all reddit forums tried to update my mobo wifi drivers tried changing from 5ghz to 2.4 entering the right password ofc, either stuck on authenticating or connecting or just says cannot connect to this network only works when i use my mobile data as ethernet even mobile hotspot wont connect i have tried troubleshooting by doing "find and fix network issues", no good either when i go to settings>troubleshoot>other options>network and internet, it says the required app not installed on the device (i think its cuz i used a bloatware removing software? idk how to undo that, did it a long time ago and it doesnt say what app to install to run network troubleshooter) why all so suddenly mane edit: going into control panel>network and internet> Network connections>wifi>properties>configure>advanced under the advanced tab there is a property tab which says "802.11a/b/g/ wireless mode" highlighted blue (and many more below this) and to its right is the value select down menu with various options 1. 5GHz 802.11a (doesnt work) 2. 2.4GHz 802.11b (connects but is hella slow and not practical) 3. 2.3GHz 802.11g (works decent and is 1/4 of the speed i guess) 4. 2.4GHz 802.11g/b (same results as above) 5. Dual band 802.11 a/g (stuck on attempting to authenticate) 6. Dual band 802.11a/b/g (this was the default setting and doesnt work either) sorry i dont know much about wifi connectivity issues, i cant seem to make any sense out of this i feel like the only solution is reinstalling windows if its a driver issue? which i believe is not cuz i tried updating and rolling back wifi drivers in device manager and even swapping the selected drivers which were already on my system. any suggestions? wifi adapter: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX201 160MHz

This started a few days ago, i noticed chrome suddenly had a white screen for 1-2 seconds uopon loading , but it didn't make sense to me as for why. Now i noticed theres also really high cpu usage, up to 50% with just a few tabs open (that would typically be 5-10%...) and then I read "google software reporter tool" might be the culprit - im not sure about that, but i then checked the "logs", and there are only "errors" in all 3 logs it creates, ie. 100% error rate... So now the question is what now? Id reinstall chrome but im not sure about saved passwords (i wrote them down just in case though) and especially connected services, such as epic games store... is that stuff saved to my account, or do i need to "sync" that first? Note: Im convinced "sync" doesn't work, it didn't last time i tried (it said everything is synced, but didn't actually import anything, also said there are no passwords stored, even though they obviously were previously) So how do i fix this? especially the high cpu usage is annoying as heck obviously. PC seems to work perfectly fine otherwise, its really just Chrome acting up...

Hi All, My first post here! So I built a machine earlier this year, for work, gaming and VR. PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 3.4 GHz 16-Core Processor (£699.98 @ Scan.co.uk) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler (£89.99 @ Amazon UK) Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard (£291.56 @ Amazon UK) Memory: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 64 GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory (£586.53 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive Video Card: PNY GeForce RTX 3090 24 GB XLR8 Gaming EPIC-X RGB Video Card (£2082.84 @ SmartTeck.co.uk) Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2 ATX Mid Tower Case (£119.99 @ Scan.co.uk) Power Supply: Asus 1200 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Total: £3870.89 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2021-08-23 13:53 BST+0100 The problem I'm having is recently I've been getting BSODs, usually with stop codes like MEMORY_MANAGEMENT or ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY or KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR. So I decided to run a bunch of RAM tests. Tests Ran all memory sticks together with Karhu RAM Tester, and raised errors. Ran each memory stick individually with Memtest86, and all but one passed. Ran the 3 passed memory sticks together with Karhu RAM Tester and after several hours got a BSOD. Going back to the drawing board after that last test failed, I considered the DOCP settings, I have them set up like so: https://imgur.com/a/f6XMpG9 Just using the default DOCP settings, as the ram is rated as 3600. I turned off the DOCP settings and re-ran the Karhu RAM Tester with all 4 sticks of RAM back in (as it seems more rigorous than the Memtest86 test), and after 17 hours and 9214% coverage, it's found 0 errors. So, my question is where to go from here? I assume the RAM itself is good, but the DOCP settings aren't playing ball somehow? In which case how do I get the speed advertised on the RAM, but also system stability? My motherboard is on the QVL list for the RAM (https://www.gskill.com/qvl/165/326/1562840280/F4-3600C16Q-64GTZNC-Qvl), so I don't understand why I'm having so much trouble. Another random point, which may be related, but probably isn't. I've noticed that the RAM RGB bottom half often flickers when running some kind of animation, all the sticks seem to do this, with differing frequency. I'm less bothered by this as it's purely aesthetics, but still a bit annoying. The weird thing is, this only seems to happen when it's running an animation via Asus Armoury Crate, if it's left to it's default rainbow animation it works fine. Which makes me think it's a software problem rather than an hardware problem. (Video of this issue here: https://imgur.com/a/f6XMpG9) I've also updated the BIOS to the latest stable Thanks!

Hello, I need some help, I’m not really a huge tech guy, been playing a game called Black Desert Online, but game kept crashing and the support gave me this tool to locate the error. I don’t know how to read it or fix it though, reason I’m asking here. I also had some corrupted system files when I ran sfc /scannow which I had removed and replaced successfully after running another command. Next day the error was back. I’ve had malware on the PC after joining a discord server promising free nitro, maybe this have done something to the pc? I factory reset same day as I got warning from windows defender. I have also updated my BIOS through Asus tune wizard (I believe it’s called something like that) I’m looking for repair tips (hopefully without replacing parts)

I believe there is something wrong with my DirectX. Multiple games I regularly (Modern Warfare 2019, Overwatch, Apex Legends, Escape From Tarkov, Forza Horizon 4, and lately it seems like every game I try) have been crashing a lot recently. Typically these crashes have some sort of error relating to DirectX, typically Dev Error 6068 and error 0x887a0006 for Modern Warfare, and DXGI_ERROR_Device_HUNG for Apex Legends, and I'm at my wit's end for what's wrong. I've been having this issue for a bit and ended up having to RMA my GPU due to a crash causing my displays not to function and ended being sent an entirely new card but the issues still continue. So far I have tried: Overclocking both GPU and CPU (one site said this would fix one of the errors) (I also wonder if ram could be the issue if so how could I check that?) I have tried replacing thermal paste (one site said an error could be heat related though I haven't noticed thermal throttling) I have tried undervolting my GPU I have completely reinstalled the games, my drivers, and windows (windows 3 times now) I have reverted to older drivers that I know the game worked properly on. I have updated Bios and Chipsets. I have tried default Bios settings. And I have tried running the games as admin as well. Extra Info: The crashing doesn't seem to be consistent always specifically for Call of Duty sometimes it's whenever I finish a match, sometimes it's when I first join a match, and sometimes it's right after I get to the main menu after launching. Oh and I also sometimes get a pop up from the AMD software stating a driver timeout has occurred. When looking at event viewer errors relating to these games come up as Application hang with the Hang type being Top level window is idle. Forza simply freezes then crashes to desktop idk what is causing that one. System Specs: CPU Ryzen 5 1600X RAM G.Skillz Ripjaws V 32GB @ 3000Mhz GPU RX 5700XT THICC III (was originally THICC II but was sent THICC III after RMA) PSU Thermaltake Smart Series 700W MOBO ASUS PRIME B350M-A Any and all help would be appreciated, thank you all in advance.

Hello, I've been having blue screen issues for a while now and just recently (about a year ago) I got a new motherboard + cpu and power supply. I still get the blue screen issues which leads me to believe it either my RAM or my Drives. However, I ran memcheck and it came back fine. I found the error codes in event view, but I have no idea what they refer to. "The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000007e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff804838e1660, 0xfffffd83a8a8b6a8, 0xffff8e80eb4f2920)."

What is MemTest86 and how does it work? MemTest86 is an x86 based system memory (RAM) testing tool. Despite it's name and origin the latest free versions have compatibility with modern UEFI x64 based systems. What MemTest86 does is it uses a series of algorithms to write blocks of data to system memory then it reads those blocks back. If the data read matches what was written then the blocks pass. If the data read doesn't match what was written then an error was encountered. Under normal circumstances on a stable system no errors should be found but in the event of overclocking, hardware degradation, or DOA memory anywhere from a few to many errors can be encountered. How many errors are too many would have to be defined by how stable your computer is. If you're following this tutorial and fixing any errors you have makes your system stable again then you had too many. How do I use it? MemTest86 boots into it's own environment independent of your Operating System so you're going to need three tools: A sacrificial thumb/flash/pen drive. NOTE: All pre-existing data on this drive will be erased! MemTest86, the .ZIP of which can be downloaded from the official website: https://www.memtest86.com/ A means of writing the image file to your sacrificial drive the steps of which vary depending on your Operating System. Installing the Image File to Your Drive Running MemTest86 Connect your MemTest86 drive to the suspect computer and turn it on. Now booting to a USB drive may not be set as a higher priority than your default boot drive or be set at all. In either case you may have to enter your BIOS and manually select the USB drive to be booted first in the Boot Priority menu. Alternatively many BIOS's support a Boot Override menu via F10 or F11 at startup. Some even support boot override from within the BIOS menu itself. Once you successfully boot to the USB drive the first thing MemTest86 will do is start querying the system for information: Retrieving hardware info. Please wait... Getting CPUID info... Getting cache size... Measuring CPU/cache/mem speeds... Retrieving CPU MSR data... Getting SPD details... Getting memory controller details... Testing multiprocessor support... After this you'll be shown a splash-screen: From here to run a simple memory test wait for the timer denoted above to expire and a test will begin automatically: At this stage allow the test to run to completion. How long the test will take is proportional to how much RAM you have. The more RAM the longer you will have to wait. When the test finishes MemTest86 will bring you to a results page to show you what errors it found if any. If you do have errors there are multiple approaches to troubleshooting them. Most methods are easy but there are progressively more difficult steps if initial troubleshooting doesn't yield results. Easy Troubleshooting Steps Disable X.M.P./D.O.C.P. Re-seat the memory. Swap the memory around in their slots. Remove a stick entirely and re-test. Intermediate Troubleshooting Steps Loosening RAM timing/frequency manually. Replacing RAM entirely. Difficult Troubleshooting Steps Testing a different motherboard Testing a different PSU Testing a different CPU Closing Thoughts MemTest86 is a very powerful tool for recognizing memory errors when troubleshooting an unstable computer. It's worth keeping in your pocket if you work on systems regularly. It's also worth noting that MemTest86 and it's fork MemTest86+ may not find errors on the first pass. You may need to run it more than once before it picks something up.

A few specific programs (my main concern is scrivener, but I have the exact problem with other programs) are having an issue where they will start normally if opened immediately after the computer boots, but after that will only ever open as a background task in the task manager. They will also only open normally once - if closed and reopened, they will only open as background tasks. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the programs in question, updating drivers, and repairing system files. The problem persists even after moving from old hardware to very new hardware. This is the strangest problem I've ever had, I'd appreciate any insight.

Ok, so about 2 weeks ago my ethernet connection began being unstable. But here's the thing, WIFI still works great and other machines on the network (Even connected to the same switch and router) don't experience this problem. Running a contiuos ping to the router 192.168.1.1 shows 1 to 2 pings with time >1 ms then a couple of timeouts and then repeat. Three days ago my PC just does a hard shutdown randomly (usually about every 45 minutes) ones or twice then works great for maybe 3 hours or even another day then the problem comes back. Things that I have tried: - Cleaning the PC, - Disassembly and Reassembly of the PC - Rebooting of switch, router and PC -Changed and tested the network cable Things that I have planned to try: - Swap the PSU - Maybe try another graphics card? Specs should be in my profile but I can list the basic ones here: - i7-6700k @ 4.6Ghz - MSI 1080 Aero - 32Gb Corsair 2666Mhz Ram - Bunch of disks - Corsair RM1000x PSU Thanks in advance for any help!

So basically none of the adobe apps work on my device nor does discord or some games or that gameloop emulator, they work just fine on the first launch and for as long as you keep them running but the moment you close and reopen them one of the errors in the title pops up (mostly 0xc0000005) so I'm limited to very little when it comes to pdf editors (a REALLY important thing here) or any emulator and every game is a hit or miss for me not even mentioning the fact that downloading 1GB coasts me like half a buck American so I'm seriously losing money and disk space over a shitty error here and I tried everything, I tried updating my drivers, running SFC, turning off DEP, my LoadAppInit_DLLs value is already 0, restoring my system, reinstalling windows, deleting windows 10 and installing 11 (adobe acrobat works when u reopen it now but only for 3 mins tops then the error but no other app reopens), also all my firewalls are off and all windows defender functions are off and I tried other stuff that I cant remember but still nothing I cant find a single fix to this problem anywhere online Specs:http://speccy.piriform.com/results/C4A32QU6JtSnaqBmj0b871j

Hi Everybody, I have a problem with my GPU Sapphire Nitro+ 6900xt, that crashes in stress situations (and not only). I just built a new pc, and every piece is new, at the end of the message you can find my config. So to go more in details, I was trying to simply benchmarck the card with Heaven, and I did not seem to have encouraging results. I was initially having troubles in doing it in every setting except at low quality, where it went smoothly. As soon as I put the settings up to medium, the screen would go black after few minutes and the whole computer rebooted. I tried to remove drivers with UDD and then I installed them again and I connected the GPU to the PSU via three different cables (before there were two cables only), and after these changes nothing different happened, the GPU was still rebooting the whole PC when set on medium quality; however, for whatever reason, after few hours I tried again (changing nothing) and it eventually seemed to be able to run a benchmark with either low and extreme quality. The average quality is ok, apart from the fact that at some stages the screen becomes completely black and once is on again, the benchmarking is still going while the whole AMD program crashes. From times to times I also seem to get BSOD with different errors every time. I then tried to play a simple videogame, which only required around 50% GPU but the game caused a crash of the whole pc again. I don’t understand what kind of problem could be, and it is so frustrating, what would you suggest me to do to try and fix it? SPECS: Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus Z690 Elite PSU: Corsair HX1000 W modular CPU: Intel I5 12400 CPU FAN: Stock intel Fan Ram: 16gb DDR5 Kingston 4800Mhz GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ 6900XT OS: Win 10 Everything has not been overclocked and is running as it comes out of the box, as I want to get stability first (when will it happen), and then try to move something around

I will do my best to write this out as coherent and understandable as possible for those that run into this issue in the future. Issue: PC won't boot windows, get error code 0xc00000e Trying automatical startup repair gets me: C/Windows/system32/logfiles/srt/srtTrail.txt This is NOT a tutorial how to fix the actual issue causing those error codes, they turned out to be a symptom of a different issue. So unless you did the following to cause that, what I will do next is probably not your solution, tread carefully. The cause: I wanted to install windows on a new SSD for a PC, I didn't want to lug all my equipment (monitor, keyboard, mouse) to it and install directly on the PC. So I put it into my main PC (yes, I am a magnet for dumb ideas) and started the windows install on the new SSD as normal. But here's the most important bit: After the usual initial windows install and the first shutdown, it restarts back up on the thumb drive "install windows" window. I thought it might've failed so I tried again and it goes off without a hitch, fresh windows is up. The problem: Shutting down the PC, I take out the SSD, and boot my PC, I am promptly presented with (refer to issues section) errors. I tried the following: (I'll just post links to videos and articles I followed to no avail.) https://youtu.be/ZZBOdeTF5Iw https://www.makeuseof.com/fix-windows-10-error-code-0xc00000e/#:~:text=But the error code 0xc00000e,system files are usually stored. https://softwarekeep.com/help-center/fix-fixboot-access-is-denied-windows Pre Solution: (skip a bit further down for what I did) There was a new recovery partition in my main SSD, I often try new dumb things and break things so I frequent the partitions on my drive and there was most definitely only ONE (1) windows recovery partition. Very suspicious. I actually found this almost immediately into the problem so I googled what would happen if I deleted recovery. Many articles said it was common to have more than one recovery and deleting them is bad. I didn't actually want to break windows beyond repair so I took all (refer to "I tried the following" section) the steps I could think of to get it working and nothing worked. Solution: The new recovery partition only had like 25mb used out of 500+mb allotted to it while the other one had 600ish out of 650ish mb. Using the windows install media, at the "choose drive to install windows" I deleted the recovery partition. Post solution: I fully expected the same results as before, infact I thought I actually broke windows and it won't boot into error at all. But lo n behold, windows loads like I didn't just spend 2 days trouble shooting it. My final thoughts and reasoning to issue: I think that I may have selected an old partition I made with a different project to install windows. Although I am very sure I chose the correct drive. And it tried to install on that, after rebooting it booted into the thumb drive from boot priority. I then selected the correct drive and things went fine. Windows ended up making only a small part of the full system on the main SSD, trying to boot into my regular windows it would choose the "infant" everytime, and because it wasn't actually functional, it errored out, and because it wasn't complete, any attempts at rebuilding windows didn't work. I am mainly posting this for myself and for others that have this exact very Niche issue. Thanks for reading and I hope I helped

Hello all I've been getting a lot of helpful answers out of the forums and I wanted to know if anyone has run into this issue of mine. I just set up my new PC, which has the following specs: - ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II - Ryzen 7 5800x - MSI RTX 3060 (12GB) - 2 x 8 GB G.SKILL Ripjaws - SAMSUNG NVMe SSD 980 (500 GB) Armoury crate has run just fine, I believe I have all the necessary drivers installed, I had to manually install LAN and Wireless on the machine before it went ahead and installed the rest on its own. As of right now I'm trying to launch several applications such as games and what not on the PC, but nothing is actually being launched, I double click and then see no reaction at all. I tried other methods of launching apps such as run as administrator or going through the Microsoft store / Xbox app and trying to launch games that I had just installed to try them out or see if the problem belonged to only one application or set of programs. But all to no avail as I have received unhelpful notifications saying the launch had failed. The PC is fresh with a clean SSD that had nothing but windows 10 pro and Armoury crate (ASUS) programs/drivers installed, so I'm not too sure if I messed something up or did not set something up properly. I'm guessing it's the latter since everything else works fine, PC detected all parts and the live feed of usage and what not is all there. Sorry for the long read, any advice would be appreciated!

Im bad with titles, so let me explain: A few days ago, I ordered a 3070 TI. After i ordered it, I looke dat my system and decided I had to Overclock my CPU (i7-7900k) so i can use my 3600 mhz Ram at 3600 mhz and not on 2666 mhz with XMP. I did that, my cpu is at 4.3 GHZ (my cooler cant handle more without getting in the 95 Degree Celsius Space. So 4.3 GHZ, thermals are fine, i stress tested for like 90 minutes with prime95. ) Errors, no problems at all, (cpu and ram was on 97-100% usage the whole 90 minutes). I stress tested with my old 1660 super. Now I have the 3070 ti, and my pc ran into 2 "Error occurred, system needs to restart" stuff. That only happened when i opened an app (RGB Fusion and Minecraft Launcher) and after the restart i could open the app normally. In addition, when i opened chrome, whatsapp and my settings, some text didnt show up, or there where random black rectangles all around the screen and stuff. Now im realy confused bcs even though I weas able to get a stable overclock and have a nice pc, I m a newbie and not a pro in this field. (Im not english so sorry for any Spelling mistakes and stuff) My Pc specs are: i7-7900k @3.6 GHz --> overclocked to around 4.3 GHz 16 GB DDr 4 RAM with XMP enabled 3600 MHz Gigabyte RTX 3070 TI 750 Watt Power supply (corsair) ASROCK Z390 PRO4 Thermals are fine btw i never got over 50 C while the errors happened, it was under low load I really appreciate every answer that helps in any ways Tanks in advance

Whenever I boot up the system, I get a white screen that says the system is unrecoverable and to log off and try again. This started right after I attempted an update. When I turn on the system, things like Plex and my network share work but I am unable to access the gui and all the cleanup command that I have run have just lead to errors. most of the errors are related to emacsen-common package. I am kind of a Linux newb so any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

So lately I've been having save errors on almost every game I have played, starting with Alien Isolation my saves were fine and had no trouble but I got to a point where the game would give me an error saying that there's an error with my save file, I tried restarting my pc and to no avail. Secondly I've been having the same issues with Forza Horizon 4, I would get a lot of errors when upgrading a car and saving things, most of the time they fail and I have to restart the app for it to work. Is there an issue with my hard drive or is it client based? please help as I do not want to start any new games and have them error out on me again.

My gaming pc that I built was working fine for a solid three years. I moved to a new apartment and after the move it suddenly won't come on anymore. I have an Asus M97a5 R2.0 Mobo and a Sapphire R9 270x Dual-X gpu. I think that's where the problem lies but I'm pretty well stuck. I tried to turn it on after the move and now it makes the post beep and then does 1 long beep and 3 short beeps. The monitor doesn't come out of sleep mode so it looks like my GPU isn't working. I took it all out of the case, RAM, GPU, and unplugged everything and then reinstalled it and it did it again. I pulled and reinstalled the RAM in different slots and nothing changed. Then after 4 or 5 tries, without changing anything again, it came back on and worked fine for several hours. I did a soft restart a couple times to make sure it would consistently restart and it came back on like nothing was wrong. I had reset the bios in the process above so my overclock was set back to normal, but everything was working fine. I played some games on it for a couple hours and then did a normal shutdown again. I came back to it today which is about a week later and it's back to not working. Same thing; 1 long beep and then 3 short beeps. All the fans are coming on fine, including the GPU but still no graphics and I can't get it to come back on. Any thoughts? Parts: Mobo: Asus m97a5 R2.0 CPU: AMD FX6300 (Previously OC'd to 4.5GHz) Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO running custom fan curve on afterburner (below 78C during stress testing) GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 270x Dual-X 4GB (Previously OC'd up 100MHz in afterburner, I reset to normal when it began working again. Usually temps around mid 70Cs) Power: Corsair CX600M RAM: GSkill Ares 4GB DDR3-2133 x 2 SSD: Kingston 240GB (boot and program installs) HHD: WesternDigital 1TB (file storage no installs)
