My system is a windows 10, i3 9100f, GTX 1070 16 gigs ram (2x8). Big problem with crashing. Ashes of a singularity, Battlefleet gothic Armada 2, Wargame: Red dragon and most of my steam library are all crashing at a certain point whether it be time or a stage of the game. All my temps are fine 50-60°C, all gforce drivers are up to date. Crashes range form engine crash (Unreal 4), desktop crashes or frozen to a hard restart. Anyone any ideas

So I get 23Mb/s D speed and 6Mb/s U speed with no network programs active, but when I download a game on steam/xbox/epic it downloads it at <3Mb/s????. I looked in task manager and it shows service host: network service is using almost all of my bandwidth. I've turned off delivery optimization, the only sub task running in it, and it still hasn't fixed my issue. Could anyone please tell me what's causing this and what options i have to fix this?

troubleshoot Alan Wake Remastered...Not using dedicated GPU?
Malicus7862 posted a topic in PC Gaming
I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this, I just bought Alan Wake Remastered via Epic Games, because from what I have seen that is the only place to get it for PC, and I've noticed it's a bit chuggy and not running very well. I've messed with the settings and whatnot and have got it to the point where it's playable and it still doesn't look terrible, but I've realized after booting up task manager that it's only using my cpu and not my dedicated GPU. Is there possibly a fix for this? I'm thinking it's probably just defaulting to the CPU because maybe the game noticed that the GPU doesn't have enough VRAM? (I am running a GTX 1060 3gb by the way) For now it's playable, but it would be nice for it to be even more playable lol Happy gaming! -
Summary The judge issued a permanent injunction. Epic wins. Quotes My thoughts I wonder if Apple will appeal the case... ? Yes, Apple will appeal. @HelpfulTechWizard wants to have the tweets down-thread mentioned here, so yeah. Epic didn't get everything they wanted. Summary Tim Cook went to the court and did a testimony in person. Tim apples claim is that allowing the sideloading of apps creates risk of all kind of data being vacuumed up by third parties and makes the iPhone insecure. “We’re trying to give the customer an integrated solution of hardware, software, and services,” he said. “I just don’t think you replicate that in a third party.” Epic fired back saying how people can still choose to keep their phones locked down to apple but should still have the choice to go outside the app store and maybe even choose app stores with more secure and selective about what apps are on their app store. Epic pointed out several apps that violated that app store guidelines. The most notable being "Ganja Farmer: Weed Empire". Tim Apple replied "“It’s not 100 percent. It’s not perfect. You will find mistakes being made, But if you back up and look at it in the scheme of things, with 1.8 million or so apps on the store, we do a really good job." Both parties are too present their final case on Monday or the judge will make a final decision. so grab some popcorn and we will see what happens in the next episode of Epic v Apple Quote from the verge: Epic v. Apple covers two separate issues: whether the market for in-app purchases within the App Store is unfairly monopolistic, and whether iOS itself is a monopoly that should be opened up to third-party stores and side-loaded apps. Cook addressed both with an appeal to user safety and privacy. “Privacy from our point of view is one of the most important issues of the century, and safety and security are the foundation that privacy is built upon,” he explained to an Apple attorney, echoing countless iPhone ad campaigns. “Technology has the ability to vacuum up all kinds of data from people, and we like to provide people tools to circumvent that.” My thoughts I am really not sure who is going to win. I think epic for app fairness and all that. Yea so as the title clearly states it, I've bought some new parts! \o/ Yesterday, on Sunday evening here, I ordered my case, which is the Corsair Graphite Series 780T Black/Red , it should arrive within the week. And today, I bought my PSU which is the Cooler Master Vanguard V700 Bit of an overkill on the PSU at the moment, as my estimated wattage on the parts I've chosen are under 400W but you never know if I wanna go for couple of more GPUs f.e. ;) Also I bought some case fans! Got a couple of Corsair AF120 Quiet edition @ 1100rpm,21dBA I think I'll buy a third one of these when I buy the GPU in a week or two. A quick look inside the boxes! The Corsair fans come with changeable outer rings, in the package you can only see the red one, but inside the box are a white, and a blue ring too. Additionally, a little bag with 4 screws and a 3-pin adapter. The ring is really easy to change, by flexing the ring towards the center of the fan, it pops out fair easily. The corners of the fan look and feel really sturdy, and I'm pretty sure the rubberized corners mostly cut out the vibration of the fan. I plugged in one these badboys to my current PC, and man, this thing sucks! Which is perfect as it'll be one of the four exhaust fans on my build! :D Opening up the Cooler Master V700 PSU! Man, Cooler Master really put some style in this! After removing the outer box, I discovered another sturdier cardboard box with a simple Cooler Master logo on the top. But after looking in this box, man was I surprised. After removing the soft foam, theres a felt bag with the unit in it, and next to it is the 12V power cable, and another nylon bag with all the cables in it! Packed with style, I really really like it! As the PSU is fully modular, here is a list of the quality looking, all-black cables! 1 x M/B 20+4 pin 1 x CPU 4+4 pin 4 x PCI-e 6+2 pin 9 x SATA 4 x Peripheral 1 x Floppy Money spent on 30th of November and 1st of December : 383,70€ Total money spent on December 1st : 931,40€

I want to know if a Xbox controller will play nice with Steam and Epic games launcher. Also, if I can play PC ports of PlayStation games such as Spider Man miles morales using the XBOX Controller? Or if I need to buy a DualSense? (sorry to the pro gamers who don’t recommend using controllers. I have been a console gamer earlier and prefer using a controller for PC gaming whenever possible)

Just a quick question: It seems to me that nowadays when i buy a game it is linked with steam or something similar, each with separate logins. Not to mention things like eve, blizzard launcher, elite dangerous launcher. Is there a piece of software that might act as a central interface. I'm thinking of something that when installed asks me to enter log in details for each client and then auto logs to all on launchers, creating a central interface. Not even counting origin, not sure if that still exists. All these launcher are beginning to drive me insane!

I know there is a lot of controversy with Epic Games, but hey free games right? Anyway starting today Epic Games is giving away GTA V for free for the next few days. I know a lot of people already have it but if you don't it's a good game to pick up.

So this definitely the sketchiest computer setup I have ever helped create. One of my friends bought a Dell Poweredge R710 (Google search appliance) for $200 and also bought my old graphics card (Gigabyte GTX 950). The only problem is the R710 won't fit or power a graphics card like that, so we had too improvise...

help Ultimate Build HELP No Price Cap Just Epicness
Hydrix posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hey guys, Ive been super stumped on what parts to buy for this one... Heres my Goal: I want to build the most overpowered PC just for the heck of it Im doing a lot of gaming, editing, and streaming but that doesnt really matter in the goal im trying to acomplish.. So i started this plan a while ago (as in years ago) and was going with a rampage V ed 10 and a pricey i7 extreme edition.. but now with AMD and Intel playing leapfrog again things are changing... So after careful consideration I want to go with a Threadripper build (1950x 16 core/32 thread) but i havent been able to choose a case or mobo or anything besides a corsair 1500W psu and ram, i bought a phanteks enthoo evolv case but it will not fit any EATX mobo that is huge so i will need a different case preferably in a similar style if possible lol Im not rich or anything but im determined and im putting every penny I earn into this project meaning there is absolutely no price cap because no matter how long it takes I will complete it lol Anyways I would really appreciate it if you guys could share some recommendations for what you think would be the most super overkill parts list (try excluding absolutely crazy stuff like liquid nitrogen also im not too good at custom water loops) but have fun with it ask any questions if you need clarification on something Thanks in advance -
I hope this is ok to post a video here, thought putting it in off topic would be ok. This is something I thought would be of interest to case modders and the like \ Ok so this tutorial is based around the JQ6500 MP3 sound module, it's a little pcb that does what it says, plays back mp3's! The version I used in the video has internal flash and 5 triggers, each trigger plays back a set mp3. There a version that uses a micro SD card (JQ6500-28P) Triggers are pulled low to activate, in the video I just tied the trigger 1 to ground so it played the first mp3 every power up. In a PC you could install this on the power, reset, mouse button or even something like an eject button (if you rock a CD drive like I do ) (or even on the trigger ground of a 3.5mm headphone jack) All those things pull low hehe I would recommend a diode on the trigger just to be safe however Also in the demo I did, because I have the trigger 1 pulled low constantly, the USB driver sometimes has issues loading but in most cases (where you would permanently)do this you aren't going to be changing the sound anyhow Also one last thing, this module runs on 3.3~5V, if you install it on a 3.3v rail, please either disconnect or use a blocking diode on the VCC pin. The usb +5v and VCC pin are common (electorally connected) Let me know if you guys like tutorials like this

I have been using my razer epic naga chroma edition mouse for about a year now. It has never had any issues up until yesterday when it decided that it would not work when it was in wired mode (which is what i prefer to have it in). It will come up with a Windows notification that says "USB device not recongnized - The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it." every time that i try to plug it in. I have update the razer synapse to the latest version. I have gone to device manager where it shows the USB as an unknown one, not allowing me to update its drivers. I have attached a picture of my PC specs.

In a shocking turn of events EPIC has added cloud save to 2 of their games that's listed in their library. In the future Epic Games plans to add support for wishlists, user reviews, official mod support and achievements. A shopping cart is also due to be added, but this is a "long term" (6+ months) feature goal. Epic Games' publicly available Epic Games Store roadmap is available to view : https://trello.com/b/GXLc34hk/epic-games-store-roadmap Source : https://www.pcgamer.com/the-epic-store-is-beginning-to-support-cloud-saves/

Source: Rocket League | Epic Games Fortnite Psyonix, creators of Rocket League, and now owned by Epic Games, will be removing all paid, randomized crates from the game later this year. Psyonix and Epic Games - which I will now be referring to as Epic collectively - say they are removing randomized crates from Rocket League to create the best possible experience for their playerbase and to give full transparency on what players should expect out of a loot crate. Epic referred to a Fortnite article published earlier this year over on Epic Games' website explaining what would be happening with llama crates. I don't know too much about Fortnite but from what I can gather, what Epic were after in Fortnite's case was to show the player exactly what they were unboxing if they chose to unbox a loot crate, rather than unbox and have a chance of unboxing a certain item of a certain rarity. I love this implementation as it means players won't need to gamble for items and can see exactly what they're going to get, sort of like purchasing a booster pack instead of playing a game at the slot machine for a chance to win something big. A majority of us like to berate Epic for their business practise but as a Rocket League player and esports watcher of the game, I like this. If Epic lives up to what they're saying and will implement the X-ray style of unboxing crates, we Rocket League players are in for a treat. One does wonder if they will completely remove randomized crates like they're claiming, but only time will tell as they have said the update will be 'later this year', and have mentioned at the end of the article that they will have updates in the coming months.

In an update sent today to backers, the game Outer Wilds, crowdfunded on Fig, will apparently now be released first on Xbox and PC on Epic. In a campaign update, the team said As a part of the initial campaign, the plan was, which backers contributed with knowing, to release to Steam on PC, Mac, and Linux, alongside Xbox One, all at the same time. Now, support for Mac and Linux are "TBD", and the developers/publisher have not clarified if it will eventually come to Steam. Personally, this is worse than the other exclusivity deals Epic has done, as this was done for a game that was crowdfunded, before they've delivered to their backers. This means that a lot of people likely contributed who play on Mac or Linux, or don't want to use the Epic Store, and are now being told that they might get to play at a later date, but if they want to get the game on launch, it has to be on Xbox or on the Epic Store on PC. At least with other games it was before people had invested money in the game, and if they had, it was pre-orders which could be cancelled.
