Summary Epic Games says Apple has taken down its newly reinstated developer account in the EU. In a blog post, Epic partially blames a tweet where they criticized Apple's reason for doing so. Epic says this hinders its plans to launch a competing app marketplace in the EU. The game maker also says that Apple has called them a "threat to their ecosystem." The tweet(s) in question: Quotes My thoughts I really like Apple's products, but they are a very toxic company and very hostile to their developers and users. As a iOS/macOS developer myself, I can say that Apple has made the EU's Digital Markets Acts as horrible for developers as possible by making it an unattractive, expensive, and frustrating experience when trying to use anything other than the App Store to distribute apps. Hello, My friend got his issue that he can’t play GTA or RDR for that matter, because apparently his epic games acc is linked to a different social club acc. It worked one year ago – we haven’t played since. The complete error message is: “this epic games account is already linked to a different social club account. Please log in with that social club account instead”. When he then tries to look in again with his social club, it says: log in failed. Log in with email address (which isn’t his email). But if he logs in online to social club, his email address works just fine. Launching GTA straight from the Rockstar Games Launcher isn’t possible either, because he then gets redirected to epic games and then onwards to the same error message. Have any of you encountered that problem and got a solution? I have found some reddit posts, but nothing worked so far. (Apparently the issue got more frequent in the past days) Thanks for any help -
I moved the game from one hard drive to another. But I don't know how to make Epic Games show that the game is on a different drive. On the internet it was written to reinstall on the disk where the same game is transferred, install 2-3% and then cancel and click verify for Epic Games to verify the game files. But it doesn't work for me. And I don't want to download more than 100GB from the internet again. -

Summary So Epic Games has now released a new web app called MetaHuman Creator, which allows artists to create photorealistic human models in hours (or even minutes), by using a large (and ever-growing) library of pre-built models and using AI to blend between them and customise them. Quotes My thoughts As a person looking to get into game development, Unreal Engine seems more and more enticing, especially if like Quixel, MetaHuman Creator is also made to be free for Unreal Engine users (this hasn't been confirmed yet, it's just my guess). Hello everyone, I'm new here so i hope i'm posting this in the right place... I have buildt my first gaming pc a month ago and i'm having some issues... Every game i have downloaded from epic games store is lagging, freezing, stuttering, fps dropping.... i don't know what to do and this is an issue because most of my games are downloaded from the epic games store... this is NOT a hardware issue because games that are downloaded from other stores/launchers are working perfectly fine... it doesnt matter if i play the game thats 1gb big on low, or a huge game on ultra the stutters/fps drops are the same... Here are my components: ryzen 7 3700x (stock cooler but temps are fine) asus rx 5600xt 6gb vram with latest drivers (i have tried reinstalling them or installing older ones, its all the same) 32 gigs of ram, 3200 Mhz 480gb ssd (my games are all on the hard drive, but i have tried moving them to my ssd, the problem is still there) 2tb hard disk Asus tuff gaming monitor, 144Hz, 1ms So yeah as said this can't be a hardware problem because every game thats downloaded from another launcher works perfectly fine... For example i play COD warzone on every video setting maxed out except shadows and i get 130 frames with no drops or stutters.... I'm frustrated and need your help... I have tried playing watch dogs 2 on epic games and it lags like crazy, and then i downloaded it from ubisoft launcher or whatever and it works perfectly fine ... all maxed out, 90/100 frames... Even a game like "Inside" that's like 1gb big i cant play smoothly on epic games... I have also tried to disable things like: game bar presence, game DVR, game mode and all that kinds of stuff and nothing changed... For example "Rocket League" stutters a bit like every minute/ 2 mins, and then there are games like Fortnite that are unplayable and dropping frames to 10 every 4 secs... What do i do?? Any solutions or fixes? Thanks in advance!

Just found out about this. Now, whether you love Epic games or hate them, I have to admit that Android is desperately in need of a dedicated games app store. The Google Play storecs game section just doesn't fulfill all of the informational needs of game stores. I have emailed Steam and Gog about adding Android to their platforms as well, however I hazven't heard back from them.

With the help of Julian "Jibb" Smart, Fortnite is now the third game to natively support his Flick Stick control scheme (the first two were Boomerang X for Switch & PC and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for PC). In addition, Jibb Smart worked with Epic Games to retool the implementation of gyro aiming to be more in line with the guidelines for good gyro controls as outlines on Gyro Wiki (written by Jibb Smart). This is available for almost every platform that Fortnite is available on except Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S, namely due to the fact that no Xbox controllers currently include a gyroscope. And while the Switch version did have gyro aiming prior to this update, the implementation has been overhauled to be in line with what Jibb Smart went for with this new approach. Though it should be noted that aim assist is completely disabled when gyro aiming is being used, which differs from how aim assist was handled with the previous gyro implementation on Switch prior to this update. BRING IN FLICK STICK FORTNITE GYRO TIPS Personally speaking, this is huge for not only Gyro Aiming & Flick Stick adoption in games, but also accessibility options as a whole. With Fortnite being one of the biggest games in the world, this will likely push other shooters to follow their lead. To use Splatoon as an example, they helped push gyro aiming by itself to the forefront, but they've yet to adopt Flick Stick (despite Splatoon 2 being what inspired Jibb Smart to create the control scheme). With Splatoon 3 coming out this summer, Nintendo now has an opportunity to catch up to Epic. Likewise, Apex Legends is another game that only put in gyro aiming for Switch & not PlayStation (and ended up being less than adequate in its implementation), with Senior Producer Tim Lewinson stating last June that they'd look into both gyro & Flick Stick. That said, this news comes fresh off the heels of Guerrilla Games announcing that they've implemented gyro aiming into Horizon: Forbidden West at launch. So we likely are seeing the beginning of widespread gyro (& flick stick) adoption in games that benefit from them. I just recently switched my OS from Windows to Ubuntu, but I found out both Epic Games and Rockstar Games Launcher don't have a Linux client. While most games I bought are on Steam, my GTAV was in the Epic Games library, and I don't want to waste money to buy one more copy. I heard that some people did successfully use Epic Games on Linux, so please tell me how to. thx. -
Does anyone else have errors for Batman Arkham Knight and keeps crashing? I am playing this game from the Epic Games Store and whenever I play the game for a few minutes the game crashes and goes to the desktop. I also get an error which says Fatal Error! BUILD_JULY_2012... Does anyone know what the issue would be? I have a 3600 and a GTX 1070 which should be more than fine for this game. I have this game on EGS (got for free) and I actually bought it on Steam hoping it was an error related to the EGS but returned once I realized I was getting the same crashes.

This is not big, but I got fortnite on iOS using game streaming. I don’t play fortnite, so this is only a proof of concept. It should work which it will, why wouldn’t it? Here is me running fortnite on iOS with shadow which is a $11 a month Cloud pc subscription that Linus reviewed a once: the funny thing is that it uses the shadow client which is available from the App Store. Apple may (probably not) remove it. This does require Internet connection so technically it’s not running on the device. You could also use GeForce now. But shadow can be used for more than gaming so I think it’s a better value.

I have as a secondary drive a WD 500 gig harddrive from 2004 (wd5000azlx-75k2ta0), and when I was download a free game I got on epic games I was looking at the write speeds and I was getting consistent write speeds at 300-400 mb/s. I am ruing epic games through lutris on linux. My question is, is it a bug or is there some problem with my hardrive that it is writing so fast?

Hello, I have recently upgraded my entire PC components. Here is a list of everything I've upgraded. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Corsair Vengeance RAM 32GB CORSAIR - RM Series RM750 Fully Modular Ultra-Low Noise ATX Power Supply - Black MPG B550 Gaming Plus AMD Motherboard - MSI NZXT - Kraken X63 RGB All-in-one 280mm Radiator CPU Liquid Cooling System - Black The only part I haven't upgraded is my CPU which is a AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor 3.60 GHz Now the issues that I am facing is that certain games crash when I'm playing. I've noticed that it has to do with the games I have installed on Epic Games. Fortnite for an example, I am able to boot up, start the game play a match and finish a game without interruptions. Only when returning to the main lobby the game freezes and then crashes. Dead by Daylight crashes when booting up, sometimes I can get into a match but then crashes loading into the map. I got the game on Steam and I'm able to play a full match until trying to play another is when it crashes. Vanilla Minecraft crashes when playing but with Optifine installed with max shaders, the game doesn't crash. Call of Duty crashes but not all the time it's rare when it happens. (Call of Duty: Vanguard) And recently I bought the game Forewarned a small horror game about exploring Egyptian tombs and the game crashes after a match finishes. Now I have checked all my drivers and everything is up to date. Contacted epic games support and tried adding DirectX11, my BIOS is up to date on the motherboard. I'm stuck! I don't know what else to do. Can anyone help?

Hi. for some reason epic games launcher has defaulted to running on my dedicated GPU (GTX 1050). I've changed the settings in Nvidia Control panel to ensure that it runs on integrated GPU as well as setting the preferred GPU to integrated in the global settings panel. However, Epic games launcher still decides to run on my dGPU. Its quite annoying and i dont feel comfortable with my GPU running for prolonged periods since i leave my laptop on overnight to update programs and i dont like to leave it plugged in that long Thanks -
When I open up the launcher it works fine. From the home page I can hit the search button and look for games as well as change from browse to discover. The only thing I can’t do is interact with the menu button in the top left, the three horizontal lines. I’ve never used epic games before so I don’t quite know how to navigate it but I would assume that’s where I would go to see my library of games. It appears but does not show as clickable. I couldn’t find any help on reddit and the support they have isn’t working either. I’ll attach an image for reference but I have no idea what to try.

I know there is a lot of controversy with Epic Games, but hey free games right? Anyway starting today Epic Games is giving away GTA V for free for the next few days. I know a lot of people already have it but if you don't it's a good game to pick up. -
News came up of Epic's Store sale issues as reported by TweakTown and Kotaku - Side note: Obviously, it should say "If a game costs more than $15" So Epic is literally trying to dictate how much the discount ought to be. That actually sounds like some fine print thing going on. lol By the way, Borderlands 3 and The Division 2 were one of those games that were pulled. So much for Epic Store exclusives. Guys, I am curious to know when will Rocket league hit the epic store? I know most of you guys are super against this motion, but as long as Rocket league is growing as a mainstream Esports title I am happy with their decisions. Will Rocket League becomes free to play if they hit the epic store as epic takes a much lower cut than Steam? In my opinion, epic must make a better UI for their epic store cause the current one is simply trash.

A few months ago when Epic Games started offering free games on their store I happily played them, however with all the controversy around the store I have started to question that choice. Should I buy the games that I got for free on the Epic Games Store on Steam? Thanks in advance for your advice. -
Epic games just announced three new console exclusive titles they will be launching this year on the epic store. Since i never owned a PS4 I'm very excited for all these games ! But i have no idea when to expect the release of these games on the PC portal If you know when to expect these games to come out share with me ! And are you guys also excited for these games ? Share your thoughts !

So as I'm sure any of us using Epic know, they gave away(Or are giving away) Farm Simulator 2019, so of course being someone who likes to veg out on Farm Simulator, I got it. However its running really bad, like the video isn't great, I haven't done a true FPS test of it, but its definitely not even 30FPS in places. Is the game just poorly optimized? Is my Hardware not good enough for Farm Simulator? Like I've never had issues before with most newer titles. I've got 16GBs of Ram, a Ryzen 5 2600 3.9Ghz, and an RX580 4GB Power Color Red Dragon.

Summary Epic Games has filed a preliminary injunction asking the court to restore their App Store developer account and allow Fortnite back on the App Store. Quotes My thoughts This is just a smaller part of the bigger Epic vs. Apple ongoing story. Honestly I'm not sure where I should stand on this one. On one hand Apple has the right to create rules for it's platform and to enforce those rules. On the other rules Apple's rules might be overly harsh and Epic might be in the right by trying to fight them. Or Epic is probably just in it for the profit more so than the moral reasons.
