Hi guys, Need some help here, I've been trying to install Audition but the installation process stops instantly giving me an error saying my CPU (2x E5520) doesn't support AVX2, I saw that intel released a tool called SDE which is an emulator which allows to emulate different architectures, giving the chance to emulate different instruction sets, the problem is, I am a noob, and I can't skillfully use the CMD, intel itself has tutorial and material on their website, but again, not savvy enough to understand, I'll leave a link (if that's allowed), if someone can dumb it down for me that'll be really appreciated https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/tool/software-development-emulator.html

Hello All, My current desk area contains an L-shaped desk with both my work PC and personal desktop. I currently have a non-smart TV mounted above my work desk that I use to watch YouTube, Netflix, Crunchyroll, etc., but it is hooked up to my personal desktop. Now I am able to turn my chair 90 degrees and I can change what computer/keyboard/mouse I am at to search/pause/play, but I would like to make it even easier. Is there a program/os/emulator out there that acts like a smart tv in the sense that I can consolidate all my streaming apps and use a controller in the app? Steam's Big Picture Mode is basically it, but they removed the browser app and to my knowledge you are unable to access in-Steam web browser anymore. So, unless someone knows where I can get download streaming apps to my desktop without going through the Microsoft store, for now, I don't think Steam's Big Picture is it. I have started to try Bluestacks, but I have to configure the controller controls for each app. So basically, if anyone has any further knowledge about: How to add video streaming services to Steam/where to get desktop apps (not from the MS store). The best way to configure Bluestacks controls and get around the DRM (Digital Rights Management) requirements for streaming service apps. If there is an OS that I can use with Hyper-V. Please let me know. Any additional information would be helpful. Thank you.

Hello, everyone! I simply don't understand what I am doing wrong. I am trying to run Wipeout Pure on PPSSPP for Android. I got PPSSPP for Android. I am running it on a Huawei P30 Lite with EMUI 10. Running it in standard battery mode or performance mode, definitely not battery saver. Currently running the PPSSPP on stock settings, except constant frameskip to 1 for a locked 30fps and audio disabled. However, I have tried what feels like every single combination of the settings, though I might have skipped something, I just don't know what. The game runs mostly fine even without frameskip at 60fps and my phone's native resolution but it drops randomly. So I said I can live with 30 FPS as long as it is constant. But there are still framedrops to 20 fairly regularly so the whole thing is a hitchy microstuttery mess. Running it without frameskip almost feels better because it drops to 40 fps and it's less jarring that 30 dropping to 17 which happens constantly and makes no freaking sense because if the game can run between 40 and 60, why can't it run stable 30? It is an almost 20 year old game running on a 5 year old device and current software. What am I doing wrong?

What are some easy to use alternatives to Parallels Desktop for macOS in 2023? Parallels is a in my opinion a bad company, they harass you with “please subscribe”-notifications when you’ve bought an expensive perpetual license of their software, and it’s impossible to come in contact with their support if you don’t have social media and the subscription version of their software. I want something as easy to use as possible, it’s for my young brother who will use it primarily for running Windows games on his Mac (he needs a Mac for multiple reasons). I’ve looked at some of the alternatives that want you to download the Windows version of Steam to macOS and then running the games by translating them. It kind of seems complicated to be honest, Parallels was extremely easy to use for him while it worked since he just had to click the Parallels Desktop-icon in the dock and click on the game he wanted to play on the Windows desktop. He uses a Mac with M1 by the way. It’s a shame Boot Camp was removed…

I am using DOSBox 0.74-3 to run an old piece of analytical software that analyzes matrices and generates some text files. The old software is based on Fortran 90 compiler LF90 and I need DOSBox to get it run on Windows 10 64-bit. I mounted the drive and it works but there are two main problems: 1) The same analysis takes much longer on DOSBox compared to running it directly on a 32-bit Windows 7! I tweaked a lot of options in DOSBox's configuration .bat file like: priority=highest, highest cycles=max # cpu .... and tried some different combinations. Some made it better but still not as fast as running on Win7 32-bit. 2) The other super annoying issue is when it runs, I have to keep the DOSBox window active on top! The moment I click somewhere else it kinda freezes and gets super slow and almost stops working until I click back on it again! Since I need to run it 70 times in a row with different model parameters, I am using Python to open the DOSBox, but that's not the issue as even without Python the problem exists! I tried Python's Subprocess module to make the process for DOSBox high priority or even real-time, and that applies but doesn't help either! My Current Windows 10 version is (21H2) but I've tried previous versions of Windows and DOSBox and obviously none of them were any useful in solving the issues! The CPU is intel Core-i7 9700. Is there some parameter combinations in the DOSBox configuration file that I missed? or something I could do in Windows Registry or anything...! Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

I've read a lot of multiple years old thread saying pcsx4 is fake because they require surveys to download the app. But looking at it now, the website shows no surveys to download, but a mega link, altho mega is a red flag. But, they also have a github page listed on the site, so people can actually see if its fake or not - https://github.com/ps4emurepo. Can someone confirm if it's fake or not? If it is, this indian guy is getting thousands of views making fake yt videos, so many, that he had to put it in a playlist - PS4 Games On PC. (and yes I am indian, and im sorry if hes faking all those) Thanks

I'm curious that What Desktop CPU are using ARM architecture. Because I want to try to play android game (especially Sky: Children of the light cuz they can't play on both Android Emu and Android x86 OS) out of Desktop PC. I really think that Sky: children of the light can't play on x64 CPU (or normal desktop CPU. IDK what to type) but can play from ARM CPU (cuz I think it's can play on Android phone but not Android Emu or android x86 OS).

Hi guys and gals, First time poster here, looking for advice. I’m building a retro gaming mini pc for my fiancée and want some help. I’m torn between 4 options and 2 price points. All will have to run up to PS2/Wii era games, though nothing newer. I’m looking at 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD to keep things smooth but affordable. I have two aliexpress options, but I don’t know how reputable that would be. A Maxtang fanless PC with a R5 2500U at https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001192345476.html? or a T-Bao MN27 with a R7 2700U at https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001270382262.html? Tech tablets has looked at the T-Bao MN series so I can kind if vouch for it working, but I’m unsure of customs duties and whatnot. They are about £100-£150 cheaper than the other 2 options, which covers peripherals like controllers, Wii remotes and a sensor bar. The other options are the Asus PN50 which I can buy as a barebones kit that has a 4500U, which is appealing due to the retailer being UK based, where I live. Or the Lenovo M75q gen 2, which has more power using a 4650G, and has a full Windows 10 home license included, but doesn’t look as nice. Since it’s a gift and it will sit in the living room I’m leaning to the PN50, but what do you think about the other options? Any advice appreciated. I’ve attached some 3D mock-ups of the unit it’s going in with the CPU info and sizes to scale. Thanks for your advice! Ant.

I just recently changed from HDD to SSD for my laptop. But I used both 2.5(HDD) and 3.0(SDD) SATA slot. After installing windows, etc. I tried to open programs from the old drive(HDD) and it works just fine, but slow. But when I opened steam, it said registry broken and need repair by the program itself. So I give admin privilege and after that, it run fine. The problem is, when I opened Memu emulator from old drive(HDD), it also said need to repair environment bla bla bla. I just give admin privilege. The emulator works, but the internet doesnt. I changed the settings from NAT to Bridged Network, told to install some chinese driver to enable it. Suddenly, my adapter is gone so I restarted. Then it wont boot. Any idea how to help?

I wanted to see if I could set up Linux for Playstation 2 on PCSX2. I got the ROMs downloaded and got it set up to the point where it is requiring me to use the Playstation keyboard and mouse. I can't find any settings in PCSX2's normal settings and controls tabs. I was just wondering if it may be possible to set it up through the config files, if there's a setting I'm missing, or if I'm screwed. I'm on the latest build of PCSX2 (v1.7.3526) and I am having to use the Japanese version of Linux for Playstation 2 if any of that helps.

Budget (including currency): US$2000 / IDR30.000.000 Country: Indonesia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Android Emulator on WIndows (Bluestacks, NoxPlayer, LDPlayer, etc) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hi friends. I am planning to build a PC, can be new or used. It will be used for running android emulator (multi instance), around 30 multi instance at the same time. the Apps i want to run on the emulator is ROX (a game , for AFK farming) and crypto tab (it is a browser app, like chrome , but i can also do a cloud mining). So this PC will be almost 24 hour ON. I read some article and watch video on the Internet, they say Intel Xeon is good and suits for my needs, is it true ? Because i dont know much about processor, and i also rarely hear about Intel Xeon. What i know is Intel core i3 - i9.. so is it true, if i want to run multi instance, better to use Xeon rather than intel core ? or do you guys know any other better option ? Also, what about RAM, VGA , etx. can u guys help me to find the best PC build ? Thanks and have a nice day !

This game apparently requires some stupidly insane amount of processing power to run on anything other than the PlayStation 2. But like, how much is truly needed? Is there any laptop that can run this game? Am I basically screwed unless I get a PS2 or a backwards-compatible PS3? Did modern hardware improve enough to where mid-range gaming laptops can run this game? Were the reports of needing an extremely high-end system bogus and/or outdated? Also, I don't need to play this in HD. This game originally ran in 480i. Though this game may not work with hardware rendering and may require software rendering, effectively making any resolution higher than 480i a no-go.

I saw the episode where they emulated Windows 98. I tried it myself but I couldn't figure it out. Anyone know a good tutorial I can use? I just want a way to run old games that I have ISOs/CDs/DVDs for.

I bought a used Dell Optiplex 780 with 10 gigs of ram and a core 2 duo CPU that runs at 3.2 GHz and would like to upgrade it as an emulation PC for my living room, I already have launchbox installed as well as my favorite emulators and games from Nintendo Gamecube back, unfortunately this thing has no WiFi OR Bluetooth functionality at all, I'd like to use PS4 and xbox one controllers, my plan is also to run everything from IDEALLY PS3 and Xbox 360 back, but I can understand if those are too demanding for this setup, I have no graphics card, and only 2 USB 3.0 ports, I'm pretty sure this was already refurbished once, seeing it's specs and the difference in the age of the disk drive and other components. The entire PC only cost me 20$ USD, can someone please recommend supplies for upgrades that'd total 100$ at most with the PC price included

Okay, this has got to be frustrating more people than me. I have been using Dolphin emulator and I love it... For the most part. See, some games I can run at sixty frames per second fine. Then there are others like Super Mario Sunshine and etc. that run at a max 12 frames per second. Does anyone have some advice on how to boost it up at least to maybe 25-30 frames per second? My Laptop specs are listed below: 750 GB HDD Intel N3540 2.16 Ghz processor (Dual Core) Linux Mint (Latest release) 4 DDR3 RAM/Memory A lot more specs that would take to long to explain. Lol. Can anyone help?

I am a developer for Android/Ios and I'm upgrading my PC to accomodate for running Mac OS in VM for Xcode. I'll have a 6800k and 16gb of ram. I was wondering if this is worth it because I have used Xcode in a VM before and it was kind of slow, but it was with only 2 cores and 4gb allocated to the VM. Would I see better performance in a VM or should I use something like Unraid? (only if unraid can run windows and macOS simulataneously.
