Hi Guys, I'm now to the Forum, but been following Linus tech tips for some time now. I participate in extreme sports and do a number of video editing of the footage. I upgraded my rig to better handle my editing requirements and moved from Adobe Premier pro to Davginci Resolve. My rig at the moment is AMD Ryzen 5 2600x x470 Gaming plus Corsair vantage DDR4 32GB AMD Radeon r9 200 Series intel 1tb m.2 ssd I have tried running Premier Pro, but I am getting no playback from the preview or timeline. (I put this down to the CPU & GPU combination and comparability) For this I found Davinci resolve and have been loving it, up until I started experiencing random crash outs. My system is never running maxed out when editing or rendering. I have back dated my GPU Drivers to a known working version, as well as trying earlier versions of resolve. Nothing has been working, I have been getting random freezing and lock outs to the point where I have twice lost a days worth of editing and not for the lack of save points. I have tried back dating drivers, restoring and updating software & Drivers, but still the situation seams to be getting worse. Im at a loss and fear that I may be coming to the end of my editing time before I have really been able to take off with it. I can take weeks working on a time line to only have it all crash out and not be able to re open the software. Am I just being a fool and trying to run the software on a system that is not capable of running it, or is there something else im missing?> Any help or advice would be extremely welcome, Im almost at the point of seeing if my system can fly from the roof of my house.

I hope you are having an amazing week! I was wondering if someone could help me with my PC design. I am mainly going to use it for gaming, with some video editing and 3d design. I have my build pretty much designed, but I am having some second thoughts on some of the parts, some of them include my power supply, my monitor, and my two keyboards. First of all, will my power supply be enough for my build? For my monitor, I am looking for a decent 144hz+ 1080p monitor, preferably IPS. If G-Sync comes with it, that is fine. My last one is my keyboards, I have a membrane one, but I am not going to use that. I need 2 keyboards, one is probably going to be one for gaming, the other would be low-profile, and for typing. Something like the Hexgears X-1 design. The SSD is slightly outdated, is that okay? My build is above, and if you have any other suggestions for my build, I would gladly take them. The budget is around the low 2000s. Are there any adapters that I need? Extension cords? If there is a better product that is cheaper, or near the same price, let me know! (Something slightly unrelated. Where can I get cheap windows keys)

Currently feeling that sluggish pc feel on my first prebuilt. I have a Ryzen 2600, 16gb 3200 ddr4, 240gb ssd with no ram, rx 570, a b450m, 500w psu. case is forsure going to be upgraded but what should I change. I can probably get myself a used 3700x not sure if its compatible and a rtx 3060 with a samsung 1tb ssd and call it a day. Mainly edit iphone videos on my pc. I shoot on an iphone 14 pro max in 4k and it lags so hard. i dont care for gaming too much just know that the nvidia cards are more useful. I have a scythe fuma 2 i think for cooler

Would like to know how to create my own redirect, or change my own DNS. Anything that will achieve the goal really. Goal: When I by habit go to amazon ->ctrl-enter = www.amazon.com I want it to redirect me, or to just go directly to smile.amazon.com. Dat charity tho. My flawed search terms are not yielding good results. Even just the appropriate search term should solve this for me. Thanks everyone!

I need some help on editing Amazon files, specifically audio files. I have prime and downloaded some music and attempted to move it around in some folders and edit it but Amazon obviously doesn't want you to do this. But I'm also a cheap bastard so I don't care. The problem is they make the file read only and if you can't change it, you can deselect it, but then when you open the properties again read only is selected. So how can I edit these files?

I've been hearing a lot of good things about the razer blade 14 but... I am not interested in gaming... I only want to video edit in 4K. Is the Razer Blade 14 good enough for HEAVY 4K edit? I'm talking about a 30 min video in 4K. If not, is the HP Z Book G3 a good laptop for 4k video editing? Which laptop would you recommend is best for 4K video editing? Hi, I've been thinking of editing some textures but have noticed that high quality textures are saved in the .dds format, which I have not been able to open in photoshop. Does anyone know of a program that can edit these or tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Hello everyone, I have a friend who is interested in me building him a video editing computer. he uses after effects and premier pro a lot as well as the rest of the adobe suite. i have a few questions that i would like to get opinions on: 1) Xeon or good i7? if xeon should i go with a dual config? 2) GTX 1080 or quadro? i heard SLI isn't really helpful for Adobe cc but will having 2 cards non SLI help? 3) i was also thinking of the following hdd config: 2 250gb SSD in raid 0 for boot and programs 1 250gb SSD current content drive 1 250GB SSD scratch drive 4 3TB HDDS in raid 10 -or- 2 4TB HDDs in Raid 1 for storage Thank you everyone!

I'm recording some footage with OBS, and according to MediaInfo, the footage is 60fps constant, but the audio still becomes de-synced after a while in Premiere Pro. The audio is only 43.066 FPS though, which could be causing issues, but I think this is down to the 44.1 kHz sampling rate. How would I record my footage as to not become de-synced over time in Premiere, and I don't want to have to run it all through Handbrake as that would take HOURS, and the footage is already at a constant frame rate so I'm not quite sure what the actual issue is. Any help appreciated, thanks.

okay so i got windows 10 home ik i screwed but whatever i used a work around and moved grouppolicy folders and installed gpedit and i can open and look but search is missing and the admin templates are grayed out, so am i an idiot or am i just missing something simple? im by no means a tech guru or wizard but im not a absolute moron either, im running out of ideas and material to google, any help would be appreciated im just trying to disable useless windows 10 features id rather not have drawing power. Templates are already added when i started (conf,inetres,system,wmplayer,wuau)

Greetings. I need a free program with which I can edit PDF files, and extract pages. I have a digital copy of a songbook, but I need to extract just 2 out of about 300 pages to mail to my band. I also need to attach two scanned images and a letter to an existing PDF document- essentially combining the files. Adobe Reader doesn't do any of this, and I don't want to use online tools like PDFsplit. I'd be extremely grateful for any recommendations you have. Should I just start the free trial for Adobe Acrobat DC? Regards, Aereldor.

Good day, My friend needs some help, I cant help him as much as what you may can. He owns a computer which he intends to upgrade - he uses the computer for some small scale video editing. I need to know which quad-core CPU do you recommend. I only need advice on the CPU, the system already has 8BG of RAM and a 1GB GPU. Intel CPU's as well as AMD are wellcome for recommendation. Please note that it's a budget (do not know yet the budget) so please don't recommend the biggest i7 you can think of, a i5 could also be officiant. I want to edit a "stats.DAT" file, however, when I open the file with notepad, does it only show this (see picture) Does anybody have any idea what I can do to properly edit the file? The file is from Stronghold Legends. It's the user profile stats data file. Edit: I have tried to look it up, but I only get "use notepad" solutions.

Hello everyone, I'm hoping you have a great day! So I want to start my own computer repair and assembly service. I'm currently advertising via Ebay and other kind of second hand sites. But I want to host my own website, I already have a server and everything is set up, I can now host files, but most importantly: HTML websites. But since my HTML programming skills aren't great I'm looking for a service/program/website where I can visually see and change an HTML file that I can host. I don't mind paying for it as long as it's not too expensive and I rather don't have a subscription. So these are some of the requirements: I'm looking for a program whith wich I can edit HTML files Even a noob like me can learn how to use it It doesn't need a subscription I can host the HTML on my own server A shop or a chat or a contact form would be very nice, but it's not a requirement Does anyone have any suggestions?
