Hello, My old EarPods with cable and 3.5 mm jack broke yesterday. The cable came off, the sound is still good but I decided to change it. Since I have an old 6th generation Ipod I still need the one with the cable and 3.5 mm jack. I therefore decided to buy a new pair on Amazon. When I got one back I noticed that the sound is bad, the cable is thinner, and the jack makes a rustling noise when it rotates inside the port. They sound like a Chinese clone. So I returned them and went to the Apple Store to buy the original, but I noticed that they sold me the same cheap pair. I wonder if Apple has decreased the quality over the years. It would be interesting to test the quality of the new earbuds against the old ones to see the decrease in quality over the years of Apple products. Is this just a suggestion for a new video, perhaps using the newly purchased audio test equipment?

I'm in the market for a new pair of earphones/IEMs. My current pair is the Sony MDR E9LP, an $8 earphone. It's an okay earphone, okay highs and mids but severely lacking the lows. Now for the main questions. -How do the earpods compare to similarly priced earphones from brands like Sennheiser, Audio-Technica, Zero Audio, etc. ($30) -How's the earpods' build quality? My brothers are using iphone, and their earpods seem to always break after 9 months or so. Mine is still working just fine after almost 2 years. I tried both the CX300 and the earpods, but haven't used them enough to fully appreciate their quality. What i know is that they both provide better sound quality than my current pair. Sennheiser sounds clearer, but the earpods sound fuller(i don't know if this is the right term). I couldn't try them side to side, so I can't really compare them fairly. What i said is based on my experience wearing them for 5 minutes. Which one is better? I know some people who won't use any other earphones other than the earpods, are they really that great? And can you give me some earphone recommendations? $20 IEM is preferred but $30 fine. English is not my first language, so if there's any mistake in my post, please let me know. Thanks.

I have a pair of Apple's lightning earpods that came with a friend's iPhone and he got Airpods so he gave them to me. I have an Android and I can't connect these earpods to anything. Is there any possible way to connect lightning earpods to micro USB? Thanks so much!

im not sure is this the right topic, but should i buy the haylou gt1 or gt2, the only difference i see is the case, buttons, the noise reduction on the gt2, and the built in charger on the gt2. which should i buy according to you guys?

I hate "in-ear earbuds." I don't like the the ones that latch onto the outside of your ear either. I really like the apple "earpods" ( the wired ones that come standard with a normal headphone jack ) but, this is the only apple product I purchase anymore. As I break my earbuds a lot, I am looking for a better value earbud that isn't "in-ear." I can't stand the sound isolation, or the general discomfort they come with. ( if you are replying to try to convince me to use those, don't. please. ) basically looking for earbud style headset for phone calls / decent audio for general music and podcast listening on the go. Any suggestions? my other audio gear for context: - ATH-m50x headphones for when I (sort of) care about audio quality and don't mind carrying them. - Sennheiser Game One headset that is tied to my desk for gaming.

Hey guys, so when I plug in a microphone of mine in my PC, (I tried every microphone port, front I/O and motherboard I/O) the microphone does not work. I tried it with the in ear apple earpods, and another headset which worked on my friends pc. So if I boost everything up, all microphone boosts, I only see a signal in the Windows Settings when I tap the microphone. If I yell very very very loudly inside the microphone (my neighbour woke up) there is a tiny tiny signal coming in. What's wrong? Did I plug ir into the wrong port? Help!

Hey guys, so I just wanted to ask you guys if there is any Y Audio Splitter with the Configuration LRGM - Or in other words - Which works with the Apple Earpods. I have the Apple Earpods from 2014 or 13 which came with the iPhone 6 plus. I just need my Microphone AND the Sound work on one headset, and I don't like heavy, so I use the Earpods. Is there any Splitter I can buy which really works so I can use my mic and hear sound on the Apple Earpods? Thanks.

Apple EarPods: Review Launched back in 2012, Apple released its replacement for the aging Apple Earphones of the time. They shipped at the launch of the iPod Touch 5th Generation and iPhone 5. The iPhone variants came eqquiped with microphone as well as Play/Pause and Volume Up/Down where as the iPod varient were just straight Earphones to do a relatively basic job. Not only do they do a relatively basic job, but they don't feel as higher quality compared to the ones designed for iPhone/iPad. You can pick up Apple EarPods from the Apple Store for £25 (or $29 in the US) - so are actually fairly expensive, but that's Apple for you! To kick off this review, let's take a look at the packaging of this device - and I must be honest, it's something Apple manages to do with a great amount of style! For those having their products shipped, I've not heard many horror stories about damaged equipment upon arrival. The Apple EarPods come with the usual sort of packaging with warranty guides and instructions on how to use. The Apple EarPods are by far my favorite earphones I've ever used for comfort. I cannot begin to describe how comfortable I find these. Unlike every other earphones I've ever used, these will stay in my ears without having to apply so much pressure that I'm inserting them into my head as a permanent fixture. They have a Frequency Band between 5Hz and 21KHz and will crank all the way up to 109 Decibels. I've been using these EarPods for several years now, and I can conclude that there is a fairly good amount of bass as well as treble on these - although I'm no audiophile! The malfunction controller that is featured on the Apple EarPods designed for iPhone/iPad is really been something I have found useful. Not only can it Play/Pause your music, adjust the volume and be used as a Microphone (which is of surprisingly good quality). It also has other features, such as the ability to use the '+' button to take photographs in the Camera App. Which can prove useful if you want to record or take photographs when your device is attached to a Tri-Pod. The Other Bits and Pieces... One point I'd like to raise however is that you really are best off buying EarPods with Remote and Mic if you're an iPod Touch 5th Gen user. I found that the overall general quality of the included ones wasn't quite as good, with the cable becoming easily damaged. The rubber on the iPhone/iPad versions are of much higher quality! You also can take advantage of the Remote Control! The Conclusion... So, overall, I can say that these are really great earphones. There's nothing much to say on the matter! They have good bass, good treble and have a good volume range and provide really great comfort! What's better is that they're compatible with any 3.5mm Compatiable Device (although most will not be able to take advantage of the Remote Control). Now once again, I turn into Linus and head off to my Honda Aventador. But guys, that's it for this review - thanks for reading!

Hello everyone Last week my old HI-FI system (CD player, FM radio,...) broke. Now I was planning upgrading it to a whole new level I was thinking to buy an iPod Nano and an amplifier with an aux cable. So I could just listen to my iTunes Library and FM radio. But I found out that you need to plug these earpods in, when listening to FM radio... I was planning to use the jack as an aux cable. Should I use a splitter? Or any other good ideas? Maybe some tips for an amplifier (around 170W)? Thanks you! Dennis

As the title says, I don't have any over ear headphones I just have my apple earpods so is there anyway I can get the apple earpod microphone to work for my computer because playing games without a microphone is hard.
