If I am using a Dual Monitor Setup and I want to game on one and watch content or managing other Apps simultaneously on 2nd Screen, would I need to plug both into Graphics Card Input or do I insert one in Graphics Card and One on Onboard Motherboard Display. If I insert both the monitors into Graphic Card, will I lose any performance drop or resolution drop ?

Hello, I play games on my main screen, and the second one keeps freezing while running Twitch or Youtube videos. Main screen refresh rate is 144hz, 2nd is 60hz. Changed the main to 120hz, but it doesn't fix it. This started happening with Window 11 upgrade. It is updated to the last update available. Nvidia drivers are all updated to the last driver. Tested this with multiple Nvidia drivers, same issue. Lowering 2nd monitor stream to 480p seems to fix it. But I used to run it at 1080p, 2160p, source with no problem in Windows 10. PC specs: AMD Ryzen 3700x 16gb @ 3600Mhz 2070 Super. -Not running any overlay. -Not recording anything. Anyone having the same issue?

I need some help. I have 2 monitors, one 23.8 inch MSI and the other being 31.5 inch Samsung. I use the 31.5 inch as my main screen and I have my 23.8 inch mounted vertically to the left beside it. The problem is, the VESA mount on the Samsung monitor isn't at the center of the monitor (height wise), it's more towards the bottom of the monitor. So the 2 monitors aren't aligned height wise, but I'm fine with that. The problem I have is I want to be able to absolutely flawlessly move the mouse across the screen pixel perfect. I've tried to look for many solutions on the internet but didn't come across any as they were all pointing towards window display alignment, but with the standard window display alignment I can't seem to get my 2 monitors to align perfectly and it's off by probably about 10-15 pixels. It annoys me. Is there a solution to this?

so I just bought a new second monitor for my setup, my evga 2060 xc ultra only has one hdmi port, so I bought a display to hdmi, at first it wasn't outputting anything, I even tried the unplug method and still didn't work, I then turned my pc off, unplugged the hdmi and left only the display in, and turned my pc on. It gave a signal for about 5 seconds before it stopped, so I plugged in my hdmi cable again and it switched to it even though it wasn't plugged in, despite it displaying something for 5 seconds, my pc or nvidia control center don not detect the second screen. I'm just wondering if there is any way I can have an output coming from my hdmi and display at the same time, or if I can switch my card to only output to the displayports, as I have two of them. any help would be greatly appreciated!

CPU:Ryzen 7 2700x RAM: 8 GB 3200Mhz GPU: GTX 1070ti Main Monitor: 24" AOC 24G2U/BK Second Monitor : Dell UltraSharp U2415 Monitor Hello Guys!! Thank you for reading this Topic! So my problem is that when ever I put obs on my second monitor(not streaming just opened or streaming) or watching any youtube video or twitch stream and playing games on my main Monitor, I start stuttering really really bad! I know this is a common problem but I haven't found a solution yet! I TRIED: Put scaling to GPU in NVIDIA control panel on both monitors Downscaling 144hz monitor to 120hz In NVIDIA Inspector multi display was already in Single display performance mode Disabling OBS preview Checking the disable fullscreen optimization in the compatibility tab of the game I turned off Hardware acceleration in Google Thank you for all the answers!!!!

I’m looking at getting a second monitor. It doesn’t need to be much, it’s just so I can be on discord or YouTube etc. whilst gaming. My main is 165 hz 2K. Would it need to be the same specs? Or could I get a cheap HD one? Also is it better to get a wall mounted monitor stand or desk mounted?

Good day! I just built my first budget pc for freelancing and encountered a lot of problems. Almost are fixed though but the one that really bugs me is that I can't use a second monitor. I do office works and would always use my second square monitor for Excel or Google Sheets. It's working on the freaking thousand years old pc with GT 220 card and it supported both of the monitors. My pc has Gigabyte H610m-h motherboard, i3 12100F, rx 570 4gb, 16gb ram, and 550 psu. The problem is, when I use only one monitor (connected it to the HDMI port) it does work. Both of them will work one at a time. But when I plug another one (to another HDMI port) it shuts both of them off. The pc is still on but the monitors don't. If I try to reboot the pc, it will only read one of the monitor. I've updated the gpu drives to the latest and the windows too. I can't seem make it to work. If anyone has the same problem and fixed it, please help me. I needed another monitor to work efficiently. Thank you!

Hello, I am running a dual monitor setup off of one gpu, I play 2 games simultaneously. One rpg like Witcher 3 or modded skyrim, and one turn based like civilisation or total war. I am looking to upgrade my system and was curuous if anyone could tell me what a set up and use case like this would benefit more from in the cpu. Would faster core speeds like the 9900k or better multithreaded performance like the ryzen 3900x be in my best interest? Thanks! P. S. I am not necessarily choosing between those two parts, they are just examples for comparison. ?

Hi Guys/Girls! I need some help picking parts for a Home Office Computer! First post on the forum! Been a follwer of LTT for what I belive to be 4 or 5 years now. Did my first build last year from used parts I found for cheap ish local. Not really a gamer, but love technical gadets etc. Anyway, going to build a computer for a home office at my mothers house. The job she now attends is moving 2hours away, and we decided to renovate an old bedroom to make an new office. (Im hoping she could work for home office a day or two a week if emplyer accepts.) I brought home my computer so we could have a temporary setup while sourcing parts etc. Use cases for the new build; As the title goes, this is going to be an office build, and would really benfit from beeing quiet. Recently we purchased a CNC machine, and I am teaching my mother’s boyfriend how to use Fusion 360 + other software relevant for the CNC machine. (he is a carpenter; made the desk from an old used oak table.) The temporary computer is running; · 6600K processor, (Overclocked to about, not really for the performance gain, just me wanting to learn) · Asus motherboard. I bought used with the CPU, so I don’t know the model number. · Corsair 16GB ddr4 (2666mhz) · Asus GTX980TI. · Kingston, 120GB Sata SSD My plans; General requirements / wishes · Quiet · Reliable · Minimalistic · Able to use Fusion 360 Here is what I come up with this far myself; · Computer Case - Fractal Design Define Mini C Black Silent. (2x 140mm fan) Chose the case du to minimalistic design, formfactor & a low noise level. On Newegg it is listed at 70USD. In Norway, its more like 115USD converted. The computer is going to be placed on a shelf under the desk to clear some leg room. · Processor / GPU – AMD 3400G I want the computer to be as good / cheap as possible, but that it can handle some 3D. I don’t know if this APU is good enough for fusion etc. But certainly, good for office work at a very attractive price. · RAM – HyperX Fury 2666Mhz or 3000Mhz 16GB kit I know that AMD cpu`s have a rumour for needing high speed RAM. But how much improvement would I see in GPU based tasks? Worth to upgrade from 2666Mhz to 3000Mhz, difference in same make seems to be aprox 30-40 USD of the cheapest make sold here. · Motherboard – Here im quite lost, seeing im looking into using an APU + dual monitor. I am looking for something with 2x displayports preferably. · Storage – Kingston 240GB Sata SSD. For the use that this is going to see, it does not need a crazy fast storage device or loads of storage. Everything that takes space uses only storage. · Powersupply – Not really looked into it; Sort by price ; Lowest first… hehe. 400W or more. Norwegian stores does not have no-name brand powersupplies anyways. · Monitor - Samsung C27R500F 27" curved monitor Its no need for high refresh rate or other gamer type comforts. Higher resulotion would be nice, but that bumps up the price about 1.5 times it seems like. · Monitor arm – Only dual arms I have found is for mounting on the desk, that could work, but I would prefer to being able to screw into the wall. · Peripherals – My mother will pick out what she likes herself (she uses a rollermouse). I will keep a cheap keyboard + mouse for when I might use it. TL;DR:Tips for building a home office computer for my mother that also can run Fusion 360. I have also atthed some photos of how it looks at the moment. The red lights on motherboard we find quite tacky... hehe Thanks for any/all feedback! Very much appriciated.

HI guys, its Austin....Yuuki here. Would like to ask I'm now using a 24 inch monitor with a hdmi connecting to the gpu of my computer and I'm thinking to add a 2nd monitor to the setup. But I'm thinking to buy a dell monitor to have that sweet sweet portrait view with the adjustable stand. But the monitor I'm choosing doesn't have a hdmi input, it just has 1 Digital Visual Interface connectors (DVI-D) with HDCP1 DisplayPort (DP) and 1 Video Graphics Array (VGA). Is it okay that I connect my computer with a hdmi and a another output to another input? If not, do u have any suggestion how should I do? And is there any other solutions ? thanks guys Love from HK

When i play a game on full screen windowed mode like Destiny 2 and Assassin's Creed Odyssey and i play a video on YouTube or on Windows media player or any kind of video on the second screen the video lags like crazy. I have tried with AMD RX 570, AMD RX 580 and AMD RX 480 all versions with 8 gb ram I have tried with all the types of monitors i could get on my hands and all the combinations (DP,HDMI even with VGA cable with adapter to DP and HDMI) My monitors are Samsung C27F591 connected both with DP and the other monitors i tried was LG 24" with HDMI and LG 21" TV also with HDMI (this one was the test subject with the vga cable). I did a windows 10 (1809 and 1803) clean install twice. I have Radeon software version 18.12.1.1. The rest of the computer is a Ryzen 5 2600 and a gigabyte ab350 gaming 3 and a thermaltake 850W psu. I tried turning off the hardware acceleration on Firefox it didn't worked. On a more simple game like Diablo 3 i don't have that problem. PLEASE HELP ME I'M NEAR ON BREAKING EVERYTHING !!!!!!!!!

Hi, since building my PC with the Asus ROG Strix 2070 Super OC edition I have noticed that while playing any sort of video on my secondary monitor, be it Twitch streams, Netflix etc, the game that I am playing on my main monitor suffers greatly in terms of FPS. Even in games that should have no problem running at good performance given this load such as CS:GO. For example, I was watching a twitch stream on my second monitor while in a CS deathmatch and my FPS was far below what I would achieve if the stream was paused or closed, although curiously the Nvidia FPS overlay indicated no drop in FPS, I can assure you however that it was prominent. This bothers me because as my experience goes, the power that the 2070 Super can provide is clearly not being utilised based on some hidden setting. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will leave a list of more extensive specs below- Video Card - Asus ROG Strix 2070 Super OC Edition CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 3800x Main monitor - Benq Zowie XL2720 using Display Port Secondary monitor - Generic 24 inch 60Hz AOC display using VGA to HDMI adapter. Motherboard - Asus ROG Strix X570-F PSU - Corsair HX850i

I just bought the new 2018 TB Macbook Pro which has 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports and a Alienware Aurora Gaming Desktop which has Ports (front): 1 x headphone, 1 x microphone, 1 x USB-C, 3 x USB 3.0 Ports (rear): 6 x USB 2.0, 4 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB-C, Rear L/P surround, Coaxial S/PDIF port, optical audio out, Ethernet, DisplayPort .I was wondering what monitors and/or docking station you would recommend so I can plug and play my mac into as well as my PC. The fewer cables the better. I would like to sit my mac down on the vertical stand and connect one cable and have the dual monitors come to life, and then change it to my PC and have the same thing happen. If it's possible a Samsung monitor would be best but I am open to any and all opinions. Thanks in advance!

Good evening! So, I purchased an LG 29um59-p ultrawide screen monitor, and I would like to use it along side my 24" monitor that I've already got. However, when both are plugged in at the same time, the ultrawide stays black and the second one displays a bunch of visual glitched out pixel/textures. I'm not sure what to do. I'm using a GTX 970 Strix by Asus as gpu. Cheers.

Hi Everyone, I recently switched to a 4K screen for my main workstation and love it. However, I quickly learned that my Macbook Pro 13 - 2015 struggles to power this display. Since I'm looking into building a PC right now anyway, I was curious what recommendations people have for a graphics card. I won't be gaming on this machine, I mostly use it for mobile app development. While I only have a single 4K display monitor now, I'd like something that could ultimately power two of them. How much GPU power do I need for two displays to run smoothly?

Hey there, I have just bought a acer 4k monitor and was trying to do a dual monitor setup with my old lg 1080p monitor. I am using a displayport cable for the 4k and a hdmi for 1080p and only the 1080p monitor seems to work when i go to do dual screen as well as the fact i receive major mouse lag and it also make the 4k monitor the main monitor so every time i open a window to change any thing i cant see it. I was thinking i might need 2 display ports cables but i have only 1 slot and when i try using just the 4k monitor its locked at 30ps when using the hdmi as the display port seems not to be working. I am using a rx 580 gpu it thats any help
