I was thinking about it a while now and also found a ton of different answers to it everywhere but most of them are old so I dont want to relay on them too much. The thing is: I have a gaming PC with an RX7800XT that runs pretty good. Also I have an really old H87 board with a 4060ti(16GB) on it for StableDiffusion and GPT-X (open-GPT) that I control over RemoteDesktop. It works but it would be much nicer if I could run the AI-related stuff directly on the main PC whitout another one running. I compared both systems against each other in various AI-tasks and the H87 with the 4060ti beats the 7800xt in every duel. In 1440p gaming the AMD card is better so I cant use only the 4060 also. And sure, now its nice to have a little heater in my bedroom too, but its not that necessary that I have to keep it. The best thing I found was this tutorial for Windows 8.1 on WindowsReport.com but I am not sure if it will work on Win 10 too. Would be nice if anyone who has tried something like this before can tell me some tips about it. The board I want to use for the two graphics card is a B550 Vision D-P from Gigabyte. The CPU is a R5-5600x. Actually I have just an 750W power brick but if its possible and daily usable with both cards I would upgrade to a 1000W.

I was thinking of powering my two GPUs by using the two 6+2 cinnectors from my Corsair CV650 PSU (650 Watt). My GPUs are RTX 3050 and AMD R9 270. Would it be okay to use the pigtail connector and connect both of my GPUs using it? Or would it be damaging to my PC? Please let me know... thanks in advance!

Hey, did anyone try paring an arc A380 gpu with 3080 or something Nvidia for streaming specifically? I'm worried about instability, driver issues etc.

Hi, I've never watercooled a machine before, but I need to build myself one (or ask somebody??). Just checking for options. Any advice or would be appreciated. Cheers! GPU / CPU plans NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 x2 AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X 32-Core 3.7 GHz Budget: 10 000+ CAD (only the main parts, no monitors, mouse etc) Country: Canada, Vancouver BC Will be used for: rendering and simulation in Houdini OS: Linux Look: I don't really care how it's gonna look, just should be quiet Planning ordering stuff from newegg or amazon ...? I read this thread, but the OP didn't really build it eventually. I feel comfortable assembling it myself, but I need some help with the parts I need, please Thank you!

Hi everyone, I was planning on upgrading to the RTX 3080. I already own the GTX 1080 Ti. Is it possible to create a dual GPU setup with these two GPUs? And if so, is it even worth it or should I sell my 1080 to cover a little bit of the cost of the 3080? Motherboard ASRock X299 Taichi XE --> might change to MSI Meg X570 Unify CPU i7-7820x --> might change to Ryzen 9 5900X Thanks to all! Best regards, I

Hi everyone, I recently bought a secong graphics card (gt710, the new one) because my rtx 2070 couldn't handle a 4k game and 2 FullHD Displays for Discord and other stuff. My intention was to plug the 2 fullhd monitor into the second graphics card and now they get providedby that one, but apparently my rtx 2070 still renders eveything, and just sends the video output to the other graphicscard. Because of that everything I put in these screens lags completely and I don't have any Idea why. How can I tell Windows, to render the monitor that is connected to my gt710 on my gt710? Or do you have another Solution for my problem? Setup: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x Ram: Vengance RGB 32GB GPU1: RTX 2070 GPU2: ASUS GT710 Thanks in Advance.

Hi! Thanks for clicking on another post here. I am by no means a computer hardware expert and couldn't find much information on whether this is possible. I would like to go Team Red for some reasons, but nvenc encoding is pretty much going to be on top for a good bit of time from now. The main purpose for this question is because amd encoding isn't exactly the best as of the moment, while nvidia appears to I ask because I'm sure someone probably asked this exact question somewhere (I couldn't find many at least) before I was born or something. https://community.amd.com/t5/graphics/amd-and-nvidia-in-same-computer/m-p/468351/highlight/true#M75876 Based on this post, I assume that there might be driver conflicts and no support for this, along with some. Possibility for 6800xt - x16 and gtx 1650 - x8 Or am I just retarded? Thanks and sorry if this is the wrong topic section!

I had a PC with 5900X, 64G ram, and 3080TI running Win 11. I noticed that when playing games, other applications (like recording with OBS, or watching youtube videos) would be very stuttery, which I think is due to high GPU ultilization. Thus, a while ago, I added a 1660 super to my desktop, and configured OBS and chrome to only use the 1660 so that hopefully playing games while watching/recording videos would be smoother. However, I noticed that while playing names and watching videos, the ultilization on the 1660 is very low (3%), and the video is still stuttery, and would drop to 720P autoimatically to be played smoothly. I wonder if this is an issue with my configuration, or if windows just don't cope with dual GPU all that well? Is there a way to make sure that chrome to actually harvest that second GPU's decode power so that watching videos would actually be smooth while gaming?

Okay so with my current system being pretty ballers already, I want to make it more and more ballers as time goes along. So I came to a pretty hardcore build plan. The whole idea is for my whole setup to consist of a total of 4 displays or more. i already have One 25 inch monitor on the table. The plan is to situate two more 27 inch monitors above hooked to the wall to watch movies in 1080p (because i dont prefer 4K yet). I want to make the desk monitors for strictly work purposes. So let's just say I want to have two graphics cards from completely different brands working separately on their own drivers, one driving the bottom displays and the other one driving the top displays. Can the two cards work in harmony without crashing along with each other and causing BSODs? PS:- I am intending to use a Matrox G550 as the GFX board for the above displays because I won't game on them and I want to reserve the PCIE 16x slot for hopefully another card in the future. The G550 uses the PCIe x1 slot by the way.

This is the start of a long term project, (it might take me two years or so). So what am I doing? - I am building a machine with 27 separate gpu's (I am counting my on board graphics as 1) all running on 1 PC ( 1 CPU and 1 MOBO). How on earth do I intend to do that? - Its surprisingly easy with a Asus B250 Mining Expert i can fit 13 graphics cars as long as i mix AMD and Nvidia. 13 card + 1 IGPU is 14 not 27 Right? - Ah yes my friend, but i am not putting normal cards in this nightmare, or even vaguely new cards no i intend to go to a lang long forsaken by our corporate overlords, The Dual GPU Card. 13 Dual GPU Cards !? - Yep. Really !!??? - Yes Sir. But Why on earth would I do that !!!!??? - Because I don't think any one else has, Because i think it will be funny to work with, Because the MOBO was bought from a friend stupid cheap and finally because i like collecting old hardware especially Dual GPU cards. So how does the build look right now? - bit are on order currently Specs as of 19/02/2020 - i3-7350k - Asus B250 Mining Expert - Cooler master Hyper 212 evo - 8gb Crucial Ballistic sport 2666mhz - PNY 240gb ssd - Tosiba 3tb HDD - Corsair RMi 1000 (this is only the first power supply more will come) - Thermaltake Core p3 (until there are too many cards and power supplys to fit, then i will build something custom) Graphics cards so far - Nvidia GTX295 Disclaimers - Yes i know its stupid and probably a wastes of money - Yes i know it will suck in games - Yes i know it won't be particularly good for anything else - If your new to custom PC's this is pretty much the opposite of the right way to do things P.S. If you know of any cards with more that 2 gpu's i am definitely interested. (excluding ancient Voodoo stuff) P.P.S Thanks for reading, i will be updating this thread when stuff happens.

Hello everyone. Can i have two GPU cards without liquid cooling? About a year ago I have made my first build following along this video: Intel 7960X 16 Core Computer Build, Setup and Benchmarks for Video Editing - Hal 2.0 The intent was to have a powerful and upgradable desktop for years to come. My main usage of this build is for photo editing with Photoshop, amateur video editing with DaVinci Resolve and 3D modeling and rendering with Blender and Cycles. Add some casual gaming down time with old games like Civilization IV or Cities XXL. This is my setup: ATX Fractal Design R6 Blackout TG (2x front Intake Dynamic X2 GP-14, 1x rear exhaust Dynamic X2 GP-14) Asus Prime X299-Deluxe Intel Core I9 7900X 3.3Ghz AIO Fractal Design Celsius S36 (intake) 32Gb Vengeance RGB (4x8Gb) DDR4 DRAM 3000Mhz C15 1x Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500Gb NVME M2 (Scratch disk) 1x Samsung SSD 970 PRO 512Gb NVME M2 (Windows 10) 1x Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1Tb SATA II (Storage) Seasonic Prime 1000W 5x USB External Seagate HDD 1x Asus GTX 1080 Ti ROG Strix 11Gb GDDR5 and i want to add: 1x ASUS RTX 2080 Ti ROG Strix 11Gb GDDR6 The idea behind this is to have the RTX as my main GPU and only use both GPUs with Blender Cycles for short periods of time, like real time viewport rendering for material preview and couple of hours long final renders. I have no problem with not being able to use NVLink or SLI (maybe later with another RTX) because the sole usage of both GPUs will be in Blender and the software can handle different GPUs for rendering with Cycles. The RTX would be placed on the top slot and the GTX beneath it. The Thunderbolt card would be removed and the SSD placed elsewhere. Thanks for the Feedback.

so i have a dual GPU setup using a GTX 580 and a quadro 4000. the quadro is kinda suffocating in my system as its tiny fan gets blocked by the massive tripple slot 580 but thats not an issue as its only usecase is to provide extra video outputs.at least, thats what its supposed to do. but it keeps getting assigned as the main GPU for some applications, which rapidly brings the card to 100degrees C. ive checked all of my 3D settings in the nvidia control panel. and i think ive found the issue, while the base profile has CUDA set to the 580, it has openGL set to auto select, and in the drop down menu it just doesnt give any other option than the quadro. how am i supposed to change this? ive also noticed that i cant select the quadro for physx. if it keeps giving issues i can replace it with a K2000 which would be fine but id rather not.

So I'll make this simple and just note one simple issue instead of listing them all. I just want to find a solution to this problem that I haven't had before Windows 10 1803 update. I'll say it my own words... 2 RX480 gpus having issues running 3 1080p monitors in Windows 10 1803. Before this windows update they ran just fine, Now my RX480s are running fans constantly when not even doing any task at all. Is this because of the Windows 10 1803 user interface update?

So I have a GTX 1050 Ti in my PC, along with an i5 and an open PCIe 1x slot. It's 2.0 of course. I'm planning on buying a GT710 from Zotac to fill up that slot for a VGA port. I have an ancient monitor which I would love to put Task Manager or something up there along with something to monitor thermals while I'm gaming. I've already used up all 3 of my ports on the 1050 Ti and it's driving me mad to watch a Youtube video half sized with my Task Manager sitting there. So if I were to buy the card, how would I go about setting it up for that?

Alright so I have a 960 right now and a 1080 coming in the mail. I would like to dedicate the 960 to mining via Nicehash. Does anyone know how to do this with that gpu but not the 1080 all the time? Will having that one mine hinder the performance of other parts of the PC?

Currently have a gtx 1080 running my center/gaming monitor at 144hz and a nvidia gtx 480 (not rx 480, the nvidia space heater) with a pluggable usb adapter running my other 5 monitors. I would like to get rid of the usb cards and the gtx 480 and possibly replace it with 2 gt 710s. (I can't run any other monitors on the gtx 1080 as they are at 60hz and it causes super annoying flickering and random flashing.) Will I have issues with having this many cards in my system? Hi, im new to the world of "sli" and "dual gpu's." I currently own a gtx 660 and got a good offer on a gtx 680. Im wondering if it's possible to use the 680 as a gaming card and the gtx 660 for it's cuda capabilities. For example rendering the stream for obs or if i should put it in my secondary build. Current specs: i5 3570k 3.4 ghz @4.2ghz 16 gb ddr3 1300mhz @1600mhz msi z77a-gd45 gtx 660 @1.15 ghz Corsair 750w silver rated psu. In advance: Thanks =)

Hey I'm kind of new to the whole mining scene and need a bit of help. I have an msi gaming x trio 3060ti and an ASUS gtx 570. I want to mine on the 3060 and display out on the 570. however when I select the 570 as the primary output gpu in the bios both msi afterburner and my mining software (Gminer) do not detect my 3060ti. msi afterburner kind of detects it but doesn't display the name and wont let me change any settings on the 3060. Any help would be greatly appreciated! In the photos below is while my 3060ti is selected as primary
