Hey all, first time posting a question here and I'm very ignorant when it comes to audio stuff. Title says it all, I currently use an Elgato Wave 3 as my gaming mic and I use the headphone output on the back for my audio since I prefer to hear myself (sidetone? I guess?) while gaming, otherwise I talk way louder than normal. I wanted to pick up a pair of DT 770 pro 80ohm headphones for use with the mic. Can someone smarter than me weigh in? Will the headphones work ok just plugged directly into the Wave 3's output? Thanks

As the topic says i can´t decide between the HD8 Dj, DT 770 PRO, v-moda crossfade m-100, PSB m4u 2. The goal is to find good headphones for gaming. The second topic is to get sth. for music while traveling and DJing. So can i just chose the HD8 DJ for gaming too? Cause i would buy them sooner or later for DJing. (Linus and many other reviewers convinced me with the awsome soundquality in music tasks) Or are these shitty in CS:GO and don´t offer that good surround stage as needed for fps shooters? Hey guys, I'm looking for a good quality MP3 player that will drive some high quality headphones. (Headphones are mostly used with my home PC anyways.) I'm currently looking at getting a DT 770 PRO (32 ohm) or an ATH-M50x (38 ohm) pair of heaphones, and that leaves the smaller part of my budget for an MP3 player. I'm looking to spend about $50 on one that will drive them without too much distortion or be too quiet. If I really need to get a portable amp, then that is a possibility. Thanks, DAGGER51

Greetings,I am looking for a portable DAC/amp recommendation for driving my Beyerdynamic 250 ohms headphones. At home, I use a Soundblaster Omni surround with my MacBook pro. But I am looking for something that is portable, that I can use with iPhone XS max as well as my work laptop (MacBook air) at the workplace or when I am walking around, so it should be portable and easier to put into pocket/carry.My budget is around 100-150 USD and I reside in Vancouver, Canada. So amazon.ca or eBay I think will be my source for purchase.Do you guys have any recommendation? Thanks

The DT 770 pros sound way more quiet than I like and the audio is a bit muddy, what amp should I get for my DT 770s and do I need a face with it?

I need a DAC/AMP for the DT 770 pro's i already got a fiiO K3, but i'm not sure they're a good match, so im seeking assistance here. Im not looking at breaking the bank, and the selection in Norway is rather scarce, so bare with me. Anything from 100-300€ would be allright, i've been reccomended JDS Atom amp+dac but its 400€ here, and a bit too much for me. Any reccomendations?

Hi all, I've just purchased a pair of DT 770s 250 ohm headphones. After some research I've noticed people mentioning a DAC/AMP is needed to power the 250 ohm model. I've no experience in the audio area and I'm sure a lot of people are scared off by it just like I am. I've had the same €50 pair of Sony headphones for over 6 years. Since I need to invest in a DAC/AMP, is there anything budget friendly which I can use to power these headphones? I was also thinking of buying an XLR mic down the line to record some singing and guitar audio. Maybe the DAC/AMP could also support these so I don't need to upgrade once I do invest in some audio gear? Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone, So I am upgrading my PC audio options from my Corsair Void Pro RGB's (Which have been great) to a headphone and dedicated mic set up. I already had a Schiit Audio Fulla 2 that I bough a while back and I am using that to drive the headphones for now, in the future I will go to the Schiit Stack with the Magni and the Modi. For a mic I got the Blue Yeti in "Midnight Blue" and a pop filter combo with a ok stand for it. I bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 Pros to go with it but after I got them in I am not the happiest with them. They sound pretty good but the eair pads and headband strap are no that nice and are really crappy leatherette that squeaks against my glasses frames, plus they don't have the nicest plastic body. What I am looking into now is the one up model of the 280 pro and the equivilents from the competitor. So out of the Sennheiser HD 380 Pro, the Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro and the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x's which should I get? I would like a little better audio for the extra money, but really want better comfort and build quality. Also I would like a detachable cable aswell but not the biggest deal. Also if there is another pair opf headphones I should look at I am up to other brands,

So i just ordered the beyerdynamic dt 770 pro ( 32 ohm edition ) today: 23 jan. And i am just wondering if its gonna be fine for gaming. I am always skeptical about stuff, this is one thing. So if you could just tell me, if you know what your talking about that is. Is it good for gaming. I know its good for music and normal day to day. But gaming is the question. Thanks for your time. Hey there I want to buy a new headset and i thought about the Beyerdynamic mmx 300 or the Dt 770 Pro with the ModMic 4.0. Because my pc only has a bad soundcard and just one 3.5mm jack, i would also add a usb soundcard like this one : http://www.amazon.de/Creative-Soundblaster-Play-Soundka... Will this soundcard work on this system? How much Ohm should i buy if i buy the Dt 770 Pro because there is a 80 Ohm One on Ebay for 80. Or should i buy the 32 Ohm one? Have a nice day ! Tim

Hello, I am currently looking at headphone amps + dacs for improving my music listening experience. I would only be using the device with my laptop and my Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 80 ohm headphones. I listen to mp3's with a bitrate of 256 kBit/s if this is of any importance. I live in Germany, so my price limit in euros is about 80€. So I guess about 85$. This is defenitely the limit in fact I would prefer spending about 50€ instead. First of all, I would like to know if an amp + dac would improve my sound quality at all or if this is just a waste of money because I am very happy with my headphones but if there is a way for making them even better that would be awesome. I have been looking at the FiiO E10 which was also reviewed by Linus Tech Tips and it seemed very good for it's price. Sadly I can't really find it anywhere but only it's follow-up the E10K which is supposed to be even better (according to some reviews...). I have also come across the SMSL M2 but I don't know if this is any good. I hope some people can recommend what I am looking for! Thanks for the answers to my question! knorkerGünther

Hi guys, as the title says, I am thinking about upgrading my listening experience with a new pair of headphones along with a good sound card/dac/amp. Currently I am using Sennheiser HD 439 plugged into my PC's motherboard which has Realtek ALC892 chip in it. I am using this headphone for the last 2-3 years (!!) but the motherboard is fairly new. I am very happy with the sound quality of the headphone and its comfort level. I have speakers but I hardly use them, let's say, may be just 5 times a month! So, I am completely a headphone person. I use them for about 4-6 hours a day on weekdays and over 16 hours on weekends. I play games everyday but love music and movies too. I don't take my headphones out of home so I don't need portability. I wear spectacles, so too tight headphones are not welcome to me! I live in India where weather is generally on the hot/warm side, therefore I usually avoid leather/pleather type of cushions because they become very hot, humid and uncomfortable sooner than I want! That's why I went for HD 439 over HD 449 on the first place as 439 has cloth/valor (??) padding while 449 doesn't. I never used any dac/amp so I have no idea how much they can improve my listening experience! Kindly note that in India brands like Schiit are not available, even not all products from FiiO are available! Now I am thinking about getting a new pair of headphones as well as a good sound card/dac/amp to boost my experience.
