I have a CUH-ZCT2E with a JDM-040 board and the rubber gaskets are starting to become mushy. It's been almost 4 years I guess and lots of button mashing. Took it apart, cleaned everything with rubbing alcohol, some improvement but still mushy. The difference is stark compared to another newer controller I had and the clickiness doesn't feel even between the buttons. Seeing how new controllers prices are at rn (65-70 €), I'm looking into ordering replacement rubber gaskets from aliexpress for my controller, though I'm having doubts on their quality. Has anyone had a similar experience ordering these parts? How do they fare to original?

A couple of days ago, I woke up and turned on my PS4 to find out that my DS4 controller was not connecting. I tried syncing it to the console by plugging it in via USB and it didn't work - it wasn't even charging. I tried the reset button - it did not work. I tried charging through my PC - it did not work. I went through Sony's self-help service and it said to me that I would need to get a new controller as it was out of warranty - so today I did that. I opened the box, plugged it in via USB - nothing. I tried charging through PC - nothing. However, I could get it to connect to my computer via Bluetooth, and DS4Windows said the controller had 30% battery left. I have tried everything using different USB cables, and using different ports on my PlayStation and computer - nothing is working. Can anyone offer any help? I can not get Sony's attention at all and I am stressing quite a lot, as money is rather tight this month and I didn't really want to waste £50 on a controller that might not ever be used.

Kind of a crappy question. How do I get my DS4 controller to work properly on android 10? It's not input lag, it's actually "sticking" like you would let go of the joystick but the camera is still moving, and it's also unresponsive. I have a motorola one action with the first build of android 10 rooted and I hope someone has a fix because rolling back to android 9 is a huge hassle. I've already tried Bluetooth Auto Connect without success.

I just got my s7 edge. I am really wanting to use my ds4 controller to play some vr games. But when I try to pair the controller to the phone. The phone seems to do fine. It finds the controller and says that it has finished pairing. But the ds4 controller still does the fast double blink like it is still searching for a device. Is there any fix for this? Thanks!

Windows 10 64bit wont recognize my ds4 controller anymore. Also games like Final Fantasy 14, which has built in support for the ds4, and Ds4Windows wont detect the ds4 either. This happens with the Ds4 Wireless adapter (from sony) or micro usb connection. I have had a weird history with the wireless adapter where if i unplug it it can never use that usb port again but will glow and even let the controller sync to it but nothing can detect it. But now its happening with wired connections too, even if its plug in and wired nothing will detect it, but windows will make a chime when i connect it with the cord. I uninstalled the ds4 adapters drivers and reinstalled them in the Device menu and it did nothing. Note: My xbox one controller works perfectly with all games still

Has anyone tried to use this adapter with ds4windows? I've heard it works great but I don't know if i can connect more than one controller because sony says up to one for ps4 remote play. Can anyone help? https://www.playstation.com/en-us/explore/accessories/dualshock-4-usb-wireless-adaptor/

Is a Dualshock 4 controller natively compatible with PC (Im on Windows 10), or does it still require you to get a program like DS4Windows? Ive been using an XBONE controller for a while, but I still don't quite like the thumbstick tension. I use it mostly for driving/racing-type games, and it feels too twitchy or easy to move when even pressing down.

First off, apologies for everything I get wrong, category, name, spelling, you get the picture. My problem was, my ds4 was not working on Linux mint 19, I saw this in Steam and RPCS3. I knew everything should work and that it was software as I had just moved back to mint from Pop! (Sorry I like Cinnamon better) where everything had been working. Anyway after too many hours googling and getting no place, I updated the kernel and now it works. (USB and Bluetooth) So if you too are having trouble with your ds4 (or maybe ds3 as well) update your kernel. update manager -> View -> linux kernels See the warnings do a back up, yada yada Install the latest. update at your own risk (5.0.0-15. at time of writing) I hope this will help someone, sorry if you already new how to fix this...... I didn't. I wrote this because I saw no answer to my problem elsewhere, Just shearing the love Good night. TLDR: This is what got it working for me, Update your kernel, (I used 5.0.0-15.) Update at your own risk

Having the same issue as this guy: Basically title. I've installed DS4Windows and it can't seem to find my controller. Controller works perfectly on my PS4 though. I haven't tried connecting via Bluetooth because I want to be able to use the controller on both PS4 and Steam. I'm using one of these cables. https://www.amazon.com/Tronsmart-Durable-Premium-Charge-Motorola/dp/B018IAXVN6 When I plug it in the orange like blinks once and then the lights turn off on controller. I tried 3 more cables of different brands. Each behaves the same.

I want to get a controller for my PC, after quite a lot of googling and always ending up in a tie for both, I decided to ask people here. Please answer if you have experience with both. I don't have either console and I don't plan on buying. However, I've played in the past on PS2/3 and PSP, so the symmetrical analog sticks make more sense to me and I'm not sure if xbox will feel comfortable. Sadly, I don't know a place here where I can test them side by side. DS4 dissadvantages: - Need 3rd party driver(from what I've read they work fine). - The game will show xbox button icons (games can be modded, but it isn't always an option). - The battery isn't replacable, but I guess it should be fine for the next 2+ years. DS4 advantages: - Feels better because of symmetrical analog sticks ?? - Touchpad Xbox One Controller dissadvantages: - I need to buy rechargable batteries - asymmetrical analog sticks Xbox One Controller advantages: - Native Windows support. - Replacable batteries (even though I'd need to spend money, its a nice option to have) Things I'd like to know: Which lasts longer ? Or it depends on the quality of battery I get for the xbox controller. If I get the version of xbox with cable (it doesn't come with batteries, but its still wireless) can I connect it with bluetooth (my PC has wifi+bluetooth card) or I should buy the version with wireless adapter? Can xbox batteries be charged while they are in the controller and its connected to the PC via microusb cable, or I'll need a charger for them? Can I charge DS4 with phone charger ( 5V/1.8A, old charger) without damaging it, or its better to charge it from the PC via USB? What about the xbox controller? Does symmetrical vs asymmetrical even matter? Which has better build quality? Both are at nearly the same price here, but if I need to get good batteries for the Xbox controller, I guess it is the more expensive option.

So I was googling about how to use PS4 (DS4) controller on PC and found some things but its a bit confsing. At first there was something called "DS4tool" that turned into "DS4Windows". However, seems like there are 2 programs by different people called "DS4Windows" and the one of them made a new version of it called "Input Mapper". What am I supposed to use ? Input Mapper DS4Windows (updated to IM) DS4Windows by Jays2Kings Seems like this Jays2Kings guy doesn't update anymore, however someone else updates his program: DS4Windows by Ryochan7 Which of them works best? Which has least impact on performance?

So I’ve been nodding Skyrim for a while, and I wanted to play it on a controller after playing for years on a mouse. DS4WINDOWS set up fine, no problems with that, and then I tried to connect my DualShock 4 via Bluetooth, and when I did it would show up as “wireless controller” I clicked on it, and it says connecting... and then after 3 minutes it either says “controller won’t respond” or “can’t connect.” It works fine usb, works fine with the ps4, it only doesn’t work with the pc. I have no idea why. If tried updating drivers, deleting drivers, restarting, all the things. I have no idea how to fix it.

I think know why it does this, I bought a new DS4 (controller) and since then it started doing this. How can I turn it off, I think I somehow have to disable the microphone? It didn't do this with my old DS4 (older model) which is weird.

I can't seem to google the solution to this problem, and thus I come to you all ... I don't know if this applies across the board to all my applications/general usage of the PC, but for whatever reason, in playing games, Fornite specifically, my DS4 USB receiver is essentially hijacking my audio input/output priorities, and I can't hear voice communication; however still able to hear in-game effects. In addition, there doesn't seem to be any issues when using Discord, as far as hearing and communicating with friends goes...So I'm presuming it may be an issue with the audio priorities of Fortnite, in which case I have already toggled my Voice Chat Input Device as being my headset/microphone. With all that being said, I still would ultimately like to somehow disable the DS4 dongle as being recognized as an audio device, which I would think would be the ultimate solution here. Any possible solutions or suggestions? Thanks.

Hello, I recently bought I PS4 controller to use on my pc. It does not work in GTAV, I can launch the game fine, but it looks like its "switching" viewing angles really fast, this makes the game unplayable. If I run DS4Winows it works just fine, but I dont want to use it, as Steam home streaming (I use a Steam Link for this) doesn't support this. It works fine in Call Of Duty: World War 2, Rocket League and PUBG. How can I fix this either In-game or trough Steam?

Hello, I want to know if it's possible to play GTAV with a DS4 controller without a keymapper like DS4Windows. I want to play using Steam Link, using a keymapper isnt possible then. Anyone know how to? Thanks.

Hi people of the internet. I am currently using a DS4 with a 3 meter long (~9ft) USB cable, but I want to be able to use it wirelessly and my PC doesn't have built-in BT. My question to you is if I can just use any bluetooth adapter (another question; which version(s) of BT does the DS4 support?) or am I forced to buy the official Sony adapter? Thanks in advance ?

Hello, If I connect a Ps4 controller to my Steam Link using Bluetooth or USB and launch gtav, the game loads fine but in game, online and story mode it will glitch. It looks like its switching viewing angles very fast. If I press 'options' on the controller and open settings, I see the mouse moving around very fast. As soon as I unplug the controller it works just fine. Would anyone know a solution? Thanks

Earlier this week I tried to play Dark Souls 3 and my controller did not give any input. It's a DS4 controller running as a 360 controller through Input Mapper with exclusive mode set up properly. I tested it on 4 games on the 3 steam games it would not work Dark Souls 3, Farming Simulator 2015, and Last Remnant. On the non steam game Elsword which runs through its own launcher the controller worked fine. I've tried all I can think of from unhooking all HID to restating the computer. I think this is a problem with steam though I'm not sure how but all problems rotate around that one commonality.

Hey alll Looking for some help, am trying to create a profile in Inputmapper where I can use my controller joystick to move my mouse cursor around, but when I bound the keys and started up the profile the cursor starts drifting around the screen. can anyone recommend the right sensitivity/acceleration/anything settings I should be using as have no real experience with Inputmapper or fine tuning controllers. Currently everything is is set at default.

Hello guys! I have a little problem. I played The Crew on pc with a Dualshock4 controller, but it doesn't work properly anymore. A while back the controller was just working fine (with TC and other games) and it got detected by Windows 10 as an Xbox controller (which is normal), but now I have to set the right settings myself and a lot of things do not work as before. It still works with other games on my pc, but just not with The Crew. Does anyone know what's going on? I really want to play The Crew with a controller instead of keyboard and mouse.

I currently use a PS4 controller for racing games and I experience game crashes when using the Bluetooth connection. When I use a USB cable, it plays flawlessly. Bluetooth dongle is a Belkin version 2.1 and use DS4 windows as the supporting software. Will updating the dongle and version to one later than 2.1 help to keep a more stable Bluetooth connection as the game crashes when the connection is lost for a split second.
