Original articles: Nintendo Life Nintendo Everything Original forum post: ResetEra The forum post also goes on to list the contents of the leak: As well as the other content that has leaked over the last few weeks: Atheerios also handily links a video showing a demo ROM from one of the leaked Nintendo 64 files, used to test the console: All of this makes it a very exciting time to be an legacy Nintendo console fanboy (like me), possibly extending the possibilities of Homebrewers on their consoles. Some of the enthusiasts on r/WiiHacks have been discussing the possibilities: I'm very excited to see what people will be able to do with their Wiis now that there are no limits other than those of the hardware. (It'll be interesting to see if it can run Crysis)

Since the reveal of the Nintendo Switch will there be any point of getting a Nintendo 3DS (Latest version). Just curious on the subject as I sold my Nintendo DSI for £30. Not bad for 2 games and the portable console itself. If I remember correctly i watch a video of Etika streaming some new games for the 3DS so I guess it's still getting games. I don't wanna end up getting the DS and something better pops up. Bit late to the party, but oh well.

So I have a 3DS I bought in England but for the summer I will be in the US. I am interested in some old DSi games from my childhood but I can't be sure if they will be compatible with the foreign 3DS. I know they are compatible but I don't know if there is a region lock on any of them or a region lock for the 3DS. The specific games are Custom Robo Arena and Super Mario 64 DS, these were two defining games of my early childhood with the DS and I would love to relive that. Any help would be great, thanks!

It's been a really long time since I've done any mobile gaming. 'Mobile gaming' not in the sense of smartphone games, but rather any type of portable consoles like the DS lineup from Nintendo. The last time I've taken part in portable gaming was more than 6 years ago with the release of the Nintendo DSi. I quite enjoyed the experience and found the design of the DS to be interesting and unique. Later I sold it on my local Craigslist because I wasn't using it as much, but that's a different story. Later even, I started building computers, found this community, then started gaming more on the PC. Now my interest in Nintendo has sparked again after the recent release of Pokémon Sun/Moon. That got me thinking, I've missed out on such DS exclusives as: Mario Kart 7, Legend of Zelda, Monster Hunter, Fire Emblem, and many others. Surely as a gamer I should do my civil duty and experience these as well? That led me to spend some time researching the best skew of portable console and weigh my options. I found that the old DSi was replaced by the 3DS, and now it seems that as of about 2 years ago the 3DS was also improved upon with the release of the 'New' 3DS. Also worth mentioning are the 3DS XL and 2DS (but I'm not terribly interested in those). So I decided to see where I could purchase the 'new' 3DS from (retailers/ resellers) and what the current prices were. THIS is where I'm running into some issues. It seems that (in the US/NA at least) the "regular sized" 'new' 3DS can only be purchased as part of a package like the Animal Crossing thing that comes with the game and some funny looking covers among other things. Q: Can the "regular sized" 'new' 3DS be purchased as one piece (not part of a package) in the US/NA? Then this also got me thinking: The 'new' 3DS is pushing 2 years now and there is the chance that another revision is in the works. As a PC enthusiast it isn't too surprising that I'm a no-compromises kinda guy. Q: Should I wait for what's next? Q: Are alternatives to portable gaming worth looking into? I like the Idea of carrying around a Razer Blade, but the skew I want is pushing $2000 (not really an option) As always: I'll try to watch this thread closely and reply/ answer questions as the discussion goes on.

Are there any ds lite capture cards left i can use for streaming?
-
I just noticed I have just over £10 on Nintendo credit thingy. Thinking the best way to spend it would be to buy a decent Gameboy-era Pokemon game (or other RPG). Which would be the best game to buy? Never played a single Pokemon game.
-
Does anybody know if the ribbon cables that are used for the screens on the Ds and Ds lite are the same? I have seen others suggesting swapping the screen of a ds (original) with that of a Ds lite but obviously if they use different cables then that wouldn't be possible. Has anybody also had experience doing this?

Preemptive apology: I apologize if this went in mobile gaming, the subtext said "phones, tablets, ect" and I didn't see any other handheld console posts so forgive me if i'm wrong. On the the subject the title says it all I think. I just was given a Nintedo DS lite from my brother and wanted to know if there was a sort of, I think they're called flashcarts, that I could use with this. I know that they are out there I just am not sure which to pick. If you have any recommendations that would be great. My main concern is compatibility as I am completely unaware of the differences between the nds and ndsL and if the card(s) has/have weird ways of getting them to work I'm fine with that (need special writers or zipping and unzipping and what not) because I'm usually pretty savy with that stuff. Thank you!

I want to get a controller for my PC, but not sure which one I should get. I play GTA V, JC3, Rocket League so a controoler would be lots of fun for these games. I also play BO2, CS:GO... but I don't really intend to play these games seriously on a controller. So that said I want to kind of avoid 3rd party remappers and stuff like that. I want to just plug the controller in and play. This is not my first time researching this topic, so an XBOX controller would probably be better than DS, right? And if so do I get one for the XBOX One or should I get the 360? I would rather have the XBOX One, because the 360 is kinda old and I'm more of a PlayStation over XBOX, but that doesn't really bother me as long as I get a good controller. Which one should I get?

I am looking into getting an original DS because I love GBA games and DS games and would love to play them again. Do you think this ebay listing is legit? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nintendo-DS-Original-Platinum-Silver-Handheld-System-/351605570421?_trkparms=%26rpp_cid%3D56aff60fe4b01f562158b3c5%26rpp_icid%3D56afd35be4b0dda625e724be

I started playing Pokemon with FireRed so I never played the original GB games. I wanted to go back and play them but I heard that you can't transfer Pokemon those original games. Is this true? If so then why have I heard you can transfer them from the Digital copies that are now available. Using Pokemon Bank? Sorry, I stopped avidly playing at White. Can someone shed some light on this? I want to get my hands on that glitches out Mew and any other Pokemon I don't want to miss.

I was playing my copy of Pokemom White (the best pokemon game of all time until the remake, unless they make it easier in which case f*ck them) when suddenly, just as I had caught a new pokemon and was about to get Kyrem, the screen just blanked and now my DS and 3DS will not read the cartridge and if I stick the cartridge in while booting the DS it won't boot. It just freezes at the DS startup screen. Is there anything I can do to recover the game. I am fine with it being a temporary solution but I really want to transfer all my Pokemom out of the game with Poke Transfer. I had a bunch of level 50s-100s. Anything will help.

I own a NIntendo DSi XL and DS Lite. I was wondering, is there a way to play custom ROMs on it or even run a emulator?
-
I found some good buys on a 3DS and a 2DS both at $60. Which do you think I should get? I will say I like a big screen.

Original Source: http://games.mxdwn.com/news/rumor-nintendo-to-discontinue-original-ds-cartridges/ There are rumors that the original ds/dsi cartridges will be stopping production later this year for possibly focusing more on the NX console, TBA (To Be Announced). Also co-asides with the news, more rare/ less produce games are coming back in large stock before it will be stop in production all together. However this does not affect 3DS/New 3DS cartridges at this time but the DSware Shop will close at March 31, 2017 following along with this news. Nintendo is already starting not repair original DS consoles due to limited parts but this hasn't been the case for the refreshed DSi consoles just yet but we can see a following with that as well in the upcoming months. These are steps also for the NX console and it will be more interesting to see what to come upon the release of the NX console. Also it had been talked about since the virtual Wii U shop has been starting to port DS games even though the general public could still buy these games for the original console. Also the DS/DSi, even with declines on sales and no longer supported and shipped by Nintendo, still being sold today on stores. So hopefully the NX is bright and the DS/DSi had a good long run.

So me and some friends are planning on having a LAN party. One of the things we want to do is play some gameboy advanced or early ds games with an emulator (most likely Pokemon or Mario bro's). Does anyone know of an emulator/emulators/programs to help us do this? Also, I don't think that we need anything super powerful to run an emulator of these level of games, but the least powerful machine that will be running is a laptop with an i3 running 4400hd mobile so if anybody thinks that will be problem let me know. Thank you!

TL;DR Pretty much the title, just looking to buy all of the Gen III and IV games. Hi all, so after finding my Poke'mon Ruby cartridge and some talk about AS which one of my friends has, I've gotten back into Poke'mon, and I've decided to pretty much buy all of the Gen III and Gen IV games, all the way from FireRed and LeafGreen to HeartGold and SoulSilver. I lost pretty much my whole set of Nintendo GBA and DS games except Ruby and SoulSilver which were in my DS Lite and DSi XL respectively. So, I was wanting to know where I should go to buy these games, and if you want suggest a couple of other GBA games I should play. At the moment I'm just looking at eBay, and considering FireRed and LeafGreen for $25 total (same seller, no postage, and just the cartridges and a small plastic container). On the other hand I could buy the Gen III set for however much in a bid (there's 5 of the same order from one seller). I'd personally like to get them from a decent Specialist Store, but $20 a piece is not so nice. And yes, I realise I'm pretty much buying the same games (FireRed - LeafGreen, Pearl - Diamond), I just want to have a nice collection and be able to play through them all. I could alternatively buy them from EB Games (Aus version of GameStop). Cheers! Just because, these are the games I had before losing the case that held all my DS and GBA games.

Article Source from goldfries.com - LINK :http://www.goldfries.com/hardware-reviews/aerocool-dead-silence-ds-200-mid-tower-pc-casing-review The DS 200 is a sleek looking casing, at a glance it looked no different from any other casing out there and in fact I wasn't exactly excited over it when I received the review unit but my perception changed as I explored this beautiful casing. The colored area is of smooth-touch leather coating that's very comfortable to the touch, and how it's design was that it looked as if it was a seamless single piece that flows from the the top-back to the bottom at the front but it isn't. While most casings were designed to be most attractive at the front, the Aerocool DS 200's best feature happens to be on top. On the left are the audio I/O ports and the Power and Reset buttons while on the right are the USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. At the center is a circular console, with temperature readings shown at the center while the buttons around allows you to change fan speed, toggle between Celsius vs Fahrenheit readings and also to change the color of the display. Yes, that's just how cool it is. Don't believe me? Check out the video below. Link to video on YouTube. The fan speeds available are Low (50%), Medium (75%) and High (100%) with also the option to Stop (0%). The downside of having upward facing ports is that the openings tend to be a hotbed for dust collection. By now you would've noticed that the are lines going around the panel, that's because the panel is removable with a flick of a switch. The switch is rather tough to flick but don't worry about applying too much pressure as the build quality is good. And in case you ever broke the cover, don't worry because Aerocool got you covered by providing an additional piece of top panel cover. Neat isn't it? Within this package, you get a full colored (solid type) and a grille type. The grille type looks pretty neat, right? The grille type would work better for airflow but wouldn't work too well for sound dampening. Underneath the opening is a huge attic that allows placement of fans or radiator but not both. The entire top panel is removable so you need not fret about getting fans through the opening. As seen in the image below, you could even mount a single unit of 20mm fan. As for dual-fan setup, you have the 120mm and 140mm mounts ready. Here's the under side of the display panel. Besides the removable top panel, the front panel is removable too. Here's the under side of the front panel, it seems like the colored panel is removable too in case you want to mod it to something else. At the front of the main structure is a clip on filter that's placed before the fan. Aerocool included only one 140mm fan for the DS 200 which I think is sufficient but it would be great if they included 2 fans instead. I don't mind paying more to have an additional fan there. At the back you see the usual layout, it's a pity that the exhaust mount only caters for 120mm fan. It would've been great if they could design it to cater both 120mm and 140mm fans. On the lower half of the back panel are the PCI-E slots and PSU opening. The design at the bottom of the casing looks neat, I like it that it doesn't seem to have any rough surface that could damage the area where it's placed. Looks like this will be one neat feature that won't get much attention. Aerocool provided a dust filter for the PSU, it's something good to have but I think they should improve on the clamp. The dust filter couldn't be properly secured so it tends to fall out of place quite easily. The DS 200 is pretty roomy despite it's rather compact and sleek apperance. The clearance at the top is good, there's sufficient room to place fan or radiator but not both. In my case, I mounted the Cooler Master Nepton 280L to the DS 200 with radiator within the casing and 2 units of JetFlo 140 fan on the outer side just under the top panel. It took a little effort to get things into place but I got it mounted without having to make cosmetic changes to the casing, just lovely! At the front are the drive bays, glad to see that the 2.5" clips hold my SSD in place without requiring any screws. It's not totally tool-less as some bays still require you to mount drives with the screws. The cage at the middle is removable, this caters for placement of long graphic cards but the bottom drive cages are not removable so there's no space for stuff like coolant reservoir if you're into water cooling. The inclusion of rubber grommets to the DS 200 was a sweet move from Aerocool, making the case management aesthetically better. The motherboard mounts are generally in place but you'll have to add a few more on your own for ATX boards. Here's the back view of which you'll see that the casing has good amount of headroom for cable management. Aerocool did a great job here by providing a super-huge cut-out that caters backplate mounting for varying CPU layout. PCI-E slots. Being a DEAD SILENCE product, the DS 200's back panel comes with sound insulation padding. This padding helps reduce noise but it also means the headroom for cable management is reduced a little. Here's a closer view of the insulation material. Phew, that's the coverage of the casing. Besides the additional top panel cover provided, the DS 200's package also includes 5.25" bay bezels that cater for 2.5" cut out and optical drive tray. It's also neat that Aerocool packaged the screws with labels on the plastic on what are the screws for. Here's the spec of the casing. The fans provided run at 800 RPM. The DS 200 comes in 2 variants (Windowed and Non-Windowed) with 6 different colors (Black, Red, Orange, White, Blue, Green). More details at the official product page. The Verdict The Aerocool Dead Silence DS 200 retails at RM 395 and in my opinion, it's a casing worth shelling out money for. The sleek design gives is a modern contemporary look and should match your existing decor quite easily. The temperature reading, fan control and sound insulation features make it stand out among the crowd, features that are often not found in casings under RM 400. Here's what it looks like with everything in place.

Great deal on some solid fans! Aerocool Dead Silence series fans are currenty on sale on alternate.de/zackzack live ticker. I recieved 2 of the red 140 mm ones on monday (unfortunatley for 18€ a piece) and they are really solid fans and looks great in your case! Really low start up voltage and adequate noise. They're not the quietest, since the blades are very heavy, which is why i sent mine back (silence freak) but if you're searching for solid fans, with adequate noise and a very good look, then get them! They come in 120 and 140 mm. Grey/Black series: no LEDs; almost sold out already Red Series:red LEDs; plenty in stock Blue series: blue LEDs; plenty in stock White series: white LEDs; 120 almost sold out; 140 mm plenty in stock http://www.zackzack.de/html/detail/zackzack.html?itemId=21924&tabber=2
