Hey everyone, I have a Dell Precision T3600 with an RX 480 4 gig I bought. From the beginning of when I got my card, I was never able to install the Crimson drivers, I was just stuck with the one Windows has for RX 480s. Every time I'd try to install the Crimson drivers, the screen would just go black and I'd have to boot into safe mode and delete the Crimson drivers to revert back to the windows one. I've since got it working (I still don't know how), but every time I update the driver I get major artifacting all over the screen and it becomes unusable, except when I reboot the system everything is fine and the driver has been installed. Other than that issue, everything with the card works as it normally should. Recently I was thinking of selling it on eBay or something to get money to go towards buying a GTX 1070. Would I be able to sell my RX 480? Are the driver issues I have just a problem with my computer or are they a problem with the GPU itself? I obviously don't want to sell something broken to someone so I'd like to know if someone else would have the same issues I had. I have no other desktop PC in my house I would be able to try installing the drivers on, so if anyone knows if this is an issue with my rig or the GPU I would love to hear. TL;DR: Crimson drivers for my RX 480 always have trouble on install but otherwise work normally. Is this a problem with my rig or my GPU? Can I sell my GPU to someone else and not worry about them having issues?

My system: (Brand new):Monitor: Acer Nitro XV272UPMotherboard: Asus TUF x570 plus with Wi Fi updated to newest bios 1.2CPU: Ryzen 3700XGPU: Sapphire Pulse 5700 XT (19.9.2 - Recommended version)PSU: Corsair RMx 650 WWindows 10 (up to date)The Problem:So this happens completely randomly (mostly while I'm in desktop) my screen goes black and my PC is still running but unresponsive. After like half a minute I can start hearing my clicks or apps but the screen remains black. After the initial black screen everything freezes but after a while the PC resumes (at least the audio and the controls) but the monitor has no signal. This hasn't happened once while I was gaming, only when I'm idle, browsing or watching something. So I went to check with the event viewer and there are multiple critical level and error level issues. I'll list some of them. 1. "Critical Level. And there are like 100x of warnings: "An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk2\DR4 during a paging operation." What I've tried: Updating all drivers to recommended versions (including bios). Had no effect at all. Stress testing CPU and GPU - everything is fine, the noise and the temps are normal. I used furmark and prime95 Unplugging the HDMI cable and plugging it back in. I want to note that my monitor came with only 1 HDMI cable and my graphics card has only one slot that supports "that" type of a HDMI cable. So basically I couldn't connect anything wrong cause there is only one way of doing it Turning sleep mode off and on. This had no effect. The PC and the monitor both wake up normally from sleep mode It's really frustrating that this is happening like 3 days after I've built my PC. I don't even know where to start looking for the cause of this problem. How can I fix my drivers when they are up to date? Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated.

My ROG GL553VD goes to a black screen (during boot) after installing Intel HD 630 Driver. This goes away when I go into safe mode and use the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.I have tried these options: Reinstalling Intel HD using DDU and using the driver from the manufacturer's site. Reinstalling Intel HD using DDU and using the driver from intel's site Reinstalling Nvidia GPU. Reinstalling Windows 10 SysInfo.nfo

Been having this problem since updating a forces update on windows 10. I’m unable to install noke of my display driver software. The problem arrived when i updated windows, which caused my display driver to go bad, meaning i’d crash in most games instantly after opening it. I looked up the error code, and surely enough, it was related to the display driver. I was running the latest nvidia gameready driver. I was unable to install any driver software. Starting the display driver software didnt cause anything to happen, clicking the program meant no change, the installer wouldnt open, that was for both nvidia driver, and nvidia geforce experience. For troubleahooting i’ve been trying to completely wipe my driver software using DDU in safe mode, then installing the display driver in safe mode as well. That worked for the most part, except alle text in games are blurry. I checked the forums regarding this problem, and most said it was related to the display drivers fxaa options being ON by default, så i turned it off. This fix didnt solve my problem, and text is still blurry. Tho i was able to install the display driver in safe mode, its still not working correctly. regarding nvidia geforce experience, i’m still unable to install it, running it in normal boot, will not open the file, and running it in safe mode, didnt work either, saying it needs to have windows task scheduler open to install, and of course windows task scheduler isnt open in safe mode. Even more troubleshooting, i’ve tried backtracking in windows updates, tho that didnt fix my problem. Read people with similar problems even tried wiping their pc, with no result tho. Please help me fix this problem, my decently expensive computer is effectivly a brick.

Ok so I swapped a hard drive in my previous computer to a new computer thinking it would work fine. It is giving me a BSOD and saying some kind of driver error. Is there anyway to update driver's without a clean install of Windows? I already tried the start up repair that didn't work.

so today i go my gtx 1070 through the post woop woop and installed it but for some reason my mouse stutters sometimes (bout 3 to 4 stutters every 15 secks ish) ive uninstalled all of my graphix drivers (using dds) and my mouse and audio drivers (due to audio distortion whenever my mouse stutters) ive restarted and reinstalled all of the drivers and then restarted again and the problem still persists. this is my 3rd gpu install and iv never any problems before halp please

Hello Community Of LinusTechTips! I have a Razer Deathadder Chroma connected to my ASUS ROG G552VW-CN298T. My mouse is'nt working :/. Im almost 100% sure that it's driver problems. I need a detailed guide to find and install my Razer Deathadder Chroma drivers. When i connect the mouse it just says "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not regonise it". I really need help. Thanks!

SPECS Intel Core i7 2600 (stock speeds/voltage, no OC) EVGA GTX 550ti SuperClocked (moderate OC over original one, stock voltage, stable for years) Don't know what current OC is 8GB Hynix Dual Channel Kit 1333Mhz, don't know timings Gigabyte Z68AP-D3, first revision and latest BIOS 1TB Hitachi Deskstar 7200rpm SATA 3 Seasonic 650w X series, 80 Plus Gold Windows 7 Professional 64bit My case is the CM Scout, I've read that some people have issues with the front panel shorting out USBs, I've also read that a guy with similar issues to me fixed it by replacing his case (not the same case as me) TEMPS CPU = mid 30 degrees Celsius on idle, load = high 60s, stock cooler VGA = about the same as CPU, don't know what it is right now as it has no drivers on Motherboard = 30 degrees Celsius Built on December, 2011, stable for the vast majoirty of the time, started acting up this year pretty badly A little bit of information that I don't think has anything to do with it: Last week after a LAN party, I took it back home and the computer would start but there would be no source on the monitor and the computer was stuck on a constant restart loop, repeating every minute or so. Taking my RAM out and then putting it back in (same spot) fixed the issue. Problem After the Windows 7 splash screen (animated Windows logo) my screen will turn black then my monitor will turn off as it has no source, this is only happening if I have the Nvidia drivers installed, if I don't have the drivers the computer will boot up perfectly. My graphics card or drivers was acting up many times before this, I'd say about 2 months ago the graphics drivers would constantly crash and then recover, especially when playing games (primarily EU4, Witcher 1, GTA 4, Planetside 2, WoW) or going into Firefox with hardware acceleration on or watching videos through Windows Media Player, watching videos though VLC was perfectly fine though. Somehow, defragging my system fixed this. Last week when playing the Witcher 2 the game crashed about 2 hours in and went back to the desktop, on the same day I loaded up EU4 and it crashed instantly when starting a game, It would crash as well albeit take longer when just looking at the country map. After this major problems started happening, just by browsing the web or watching videos, the graphics card/driver would crash then recover a bit than randomly my whole system would lock up and a loud static like sound would come out of my headphones. I restarted it back up, defragged the system and installed the latest Nvidia drivers than went to sleep. Next day I turned on my computer and it was artifacting pretty badly when just starting up (big black bar on login screen, eventually going away), then once again crash to desktop on EU4 and later hard computer lockup like before. Restarted and same thing kept on happening, then the current situation. Now when I don't have graphics card drivers on, the system is perfectly stable. I've tried multiple different drivers, same result. Reinstalling Windows didn't help with the graphics card as well. System restore also does not help, even restoring back to a relatively recent time when the computer was stable (only ones available) and had a different driver did not help. All the issues that are happening to the computer happened as far back as 2012, like the hard crash with buzzing and the constant driver crashes and recovery but it never stuck around. At this point I'm thinking the card is dead, but I don't have a another card to test it with. Any suggestions or should I just buy a new card? I know this issue has been happening to newer cards like the GTX 970 as well. Sorry if this is too much information, I would greatly appreciate any help.

I recently got windows 8.1 for my younger sister computer so that could play more games (linux gaming is pretty limited) and the computer has a Radeon HD 4800 and the auto detect didn't work so i searched for the driver and installed it and had no luck. Ever game will run but Java games i have installed Java 7 and 6 every version in between. if you have any thing else i could try please let me know. Thanks for your time:)
