  1. I just finished a new budget build, i3 10100, 16GB 2666 ram dual channel, 650 watt PS, 250 SSD and 7200 RPM 2 TB hard drive. I'm running W10 Pro as my OS. My computer boots up normally, let's me log in and 10-15 secs later, the screen goes blank, sometimes its white, sometimes blue and sometimes black. I went online, and general suggestion from about 20 tech youtubers is go into safe mode, use DDU driver uninstaller to delete old Nvidia drivers, restart it and load up the latest drivers, which I did. System recognizes the card, I test it with Doom Eternal, seems to be working. Then I shut down...I then power up, log in and 10-15 sec later, screen goes blank. I thought one solution would be to leave it running but about an hour in, I switch applications and the screen goes blank. So, anyone have any ideas? Luckily, the onboard graphics work, so I get to type this at least. When going through the motions of uninstalling the drivers in safe mode, screen has no issue with the GPU, its only after I load the drivers.
  2. Hey guys, is there anyway to FORCE update the driver to it's latest OFFICIALLY supported version? It's constantly bugging me everytime I want to do a Windows reset, as sometimes i get 391.xx, while some other times (like as of now) i get 388.xx I've read the NVIDIA's driver site and for some reasons they lists in 425.31 in Driver Picking site as 820M's latest supported version, despite the fact that it saids it's didn't detected any compatible hardware when i tried to install it; but when I looked on NVIDIA's forum, they said 391.xx is the last supported version of 820M. I tried resetting the Windows, DDU'd it, didn't work; then i tried reset the Windows THEN DDU'd the bundled driver, none of it works. I also tried the unsigned driver method with DDU beforehand, also didn't work; and i tried updating the driver manually as if it's a standard procedure, same goes the problem like 425.xx My GPU is GeForce 820M (2GB) that came with my Asus TransformerBook TP550LD (as shown below)
  3. I recently got an Onn 13.3 inch 2 in 1 laptop, I had no complaints for my use case. I then ran into storage issues (not enough storage), I then purchased a new m.2 drive wd 1tb and installed it. Got windows installed but then came to realize that the touch function wasn't working. I searched for drivers but to no avail, I didn't format the original drive so it still has the drivers installed to it. I was wondering if there was a way I could download the drivers from the old drive.
  4. So, Been using Behringer UMC22 for a Year and 3 days ago i was trying to fix a Noise in mic and thought of updating Drivers. Now i have no drivers after struggling for 3 days, installing and uninstalling drivers over and over. Can someone please tell me where to Find the actual drivers? Behringer website links to ASIO4ALL and it does absolutely nothing.
  5. Hello, I once had the Problem that my HOLE PC with Audio and Video and Network Freezes for a few mili-seconds when (any) 3D Prorgamm (like Game or Premiere Pro) runs. The only thing that helped was to go from the "Beta" Driver that was somehow automatically installed back to the Normal one. Thats maybe 2 Months ago ^^ Now i have the same Problem after Updating the GPU Driver (to the latest stable), what can i do and does someone else experience this Problem? (Driver Version: 22.3.1)
  6. i have a laptop Lenovo ideapad 81DC with a Radeon 550 and my pc crashed while playing some game so booted in safe mode and saw that it was caused by my amd driver, and so i uninstalled it and tried to reinstall, while installing the driver the screen would freeze around 60% and then it would just be stuck like that. With no other choice i force shutdown the laptop and when i on the laptop i ll get a notification that no amd drivers are installed and something ending with .dll can work (dont remeber wat it was) can anyone help the pc works fine without installing the driver but whenever i try to install the driver it freezes and i have to force restart i i already reset windows, set bios to default non of which works
  7. EDITS: Added info on system. I'm having very strange issues with BSODs. Sometimes, I'll boot and it will take three tries to even log in. Other times, I'll boot, have no issues for a couple of hours, and then BSOD. Interestingly, I've also seen it get into a "long" boot loop: When idle, it will BSOD, restart, be fine, and then BSOD again every 40 minutes or so. Files that might be useful: Minidump Report 1 Minidump Report 2 Perfmon Report I've done the following: BIOS is up-to-date. XMP is on. Run sfc/ scannow and several DISM repairs. My initial sfc/ scannow caught some corruption and fixed it. Ran Memtest86--clean bill of health. Completely reinstalled Windows (this seemed to help for a while...) Updated all drivers to the most recent version. Ran Driver Verifier (no issues, actually had BSODs while running it that weren't caused by it) Reseated all hardware except the CPU (I don't have thermal paste on hand) Thoughts: Could it be the PSU? If so, how would I check? How can I try to figure out what these issues are? My specs are: Windows 10 Pro Aorus Ultra x570 AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 2x8 GB Crucial BALLISTIX 3600 GHz Sapphire Nitro+ 5700 XT WD Black 1TB NVMe SSD Cooler Master Gold 750 Watt Fully Modular
  8. I have been dealing with this issue for a long time, well more specifically 3 weeks, and for the last couple of days I have spent my time reading forums and exploring options to fix this, The problem is anytime I run a 3d application my driver crashes for my RX 480, i have updated all my drivers, Bios, everything, i have DDu'd reinstalled and installed drivers over and over again, I have not seen artifacting my Card is not the issue here. I have even set it to compatibility mode hoping things would help, but i still get the same issue even when I reduce the power limit and undervolted the card. My current setup is i3-6100 rx 480 nitro + 8 gig 16 gigs of ram Gigabyte z170-HD3P MOBO EVGA 750+ bronze nex power supply ( http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/2185040 ) all my parts are new, so there shouldn't be any other issue going on I also do not have Raptr nor do I use any other Anti-Virus software but Microsofts Windows Defender If anyone has any idea's on how to fix this please help because I have done everything at this point besides get an RMA on my graphics card even though I know its not the card based on the issues I am having.
  9. Specs: MSI 1660ti 2x8gb vengeance 3000 b450 aurous elite ryzen 7 3700x 240gb m.2 ssd corsair 2tb seagate barracuda Hyper X cloud II WIN 10 x64 500W psu I just built a computer and have experienced ~3 blue screens with an error code of "Critical Structure Corruption". I'm pretty sure I've updated every driver, installed every update, and checked to make sure all hardware was installed correctly. Attached is the blue screen error log and from what I've seen its linked to memory or drivers. I have run a memory check and it came back with no errors. I have also looked into the administrative events and there are 4 errors relating to drivers two of which are relating it to the "The device HID-compliant headset (location (unknown)) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash." I do have a pair of hyper X cloud II headphones installed and I can see both the HID-compliant headset and my cloud II headphones in device manager, both say they have fully updated drivers. There is also one kernel-power critical error that just says its related to loss of power or unexpected crash.. I'm assuming that was caused by the other errors? not too sure. Hope someone can help, never had this many problems with a computer right off the bat so not too sure what to do. Thanks
  10. Alright so here's the issue, I had purchased an Asus ROG Strix Rx 560 4gb from eBay, and the card works fine! Until I install the driver, which promptly causes the pc to turn off. We're not even talking BSOD. I press the power button, PC loads, Windows logs in, and about 1 minute of being on the desktop doing nothing, the pc just turns off in the same manner as pulling the power plug from the wall. When Windows loads, if I open AMD Radeon Adrenaline, this instantly kills the power. I have determined this to be solely a driver issue, as running the card on a Windows 7 Ultimate x64 pc, its runs fantastic and stays well within its temperature range. Yes, the 6 pin is properly connected, and I have cleaned the entire card thoroughly. Running Windows 8.1 in Safe Mode, the pc runs fine, attempting to open AMD Radeon Adrenaline, it reports that there is no AMD graphics card installed, checking device manager shows the Rx 560 driver present. I am trying to run the card on a Windows 8.1 Home install, and am well aware of the fact that there isn't an official 8.1 driver for this card, but have seen many posts on other sites of people saying that, using the Windows 7 driver on 8.1 just works, and also using the Windows 10 driver is pretty much hit or miss based on hardware, where in my case I couldn't even get the installer to recognize the card. I'm not looking to be told "just use 10/7" as this is a build for a friend, who already had 8.1 and is rebuilding his pc. I have used all of the proper drivers for everything, and updated the motherboard BIOS to the latest release. I haven't found anything conflicting in the hardware, and the PSU is well over the maximum usage: Asus M5A78L-M Plus/USB3 AMD Phenom ii x4 B95 4x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 Corsair CX650M I ask for any suggestions, if any, for finding a workaround. I have already tried AMD Driver Cocktail Mixer; which is a LOT harder to find than it used to be; with no success. I don't mind messing with the registry as this is a clean install on a new hard drive, and worst case scenario I can just reinstall. Thanks for any input!
  11. Howdy tech-gods, I have the following PC configuration: - CPU: Ryzen 5 2400G - RAM: 2 x 8 GB Patriot DIMM DDR4-3000 - Mainboard: GIGABYTE GA-AB350M-DS3H V2 with latest chipset-driver and BIOS update (F2) - power supply: be quiet! 400W System Power 9 80+ bronze - Case: Sharkoon VG5-W red, Tower - Operating system: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Lately I have bought the graphics card "Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 570 8GB" and plugged into the PCIEX16 slot in the motherboard and connected with an 8-pin connector to the PSU. The graphics card is connected to the display (Acer Predator XZ271) via a display port cable. With the driver automatically installed by the Windows 10 (according to device manager driver version 22.19.162.4 from 24.04.2017 (!) everything works flawlessly. As soon as I install the AMD recommended Radeon software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.1.1. I got major issues. When the installation is about at 30 %, the display starts to black out for serveral seconds, comes back for like 2-3 seconds then blacks out again and so on. It is impossible to do anything with the PC. I also tested the drivers - before removing the old drivers via DDU - Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.3.1, Adrenalin 2019 Edition 18.12.2 and Adrenaline Edition 18.9.3 and had no success with any version. It always works like this: The driver is installed normally up to about 30%, sometimes to about 70 %, then the dropouts start and the PC becomes unusable, even after the driver is finished, these dropouts remain (a restart does not help). I then have to manage somehow to get into the Windows 10 safe mode and uninstall the Radeon driver by DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). I tried further to uninstall all AMD related drivers with the AMD tool to do that, but still, no success. Also a complete Windows 10 reinstallation did not help. Further, I disabled the intergrated graphics of my CPU/ APU in the BIOS but that didn’t help either. It’s not the monitors fault, since it works fine with other PCs. I also tested the Displayport cable on other hardware; the cable works fine. In addition I tried hooking up the GPU to the display via HDMI cable but it didn’t work out as well. A hardware defect - at least for the graphics card - I consider possible, but rather believe that it is a software / drivers issue, because the RX 570 basically works with the old Windows driver. I am also aware that the power supply with 400 W is rather tight; however, I do not think it's the limit; also I guess that the PSU is of quite good quality. Nevertheless, I have read in another forum that in similar cases a faulty CPU caused such problems... Is there a way to test that? I‘ve reached out to AMD to solve the problem, but they just told me to remove the Radeon driver through DDU and install the latest optional Radeon driver which didn‘t solve anything... Thanks in advance for your help!
  12. I almost never make forum posts, but here I am confused out of my mind. So just earlier today I upgraded my GPU to a gtx 1080 ti from my 1050 ti. Upon stress tests and game tests the card seems to be performing as intended, however there is one problem I am having and it wasn't present when my old card was installed. Whenever I listen to audio strictly through my headset (Astro A40) the audio is very distorted. It is audible to some degree but it is still very off, and many sounds are hazy and don't sound correct. However through my monitor speakers or my main speakers the audio seems just fine. I tested my audio on my Xbox using my headset to make sure it wasn't and issue with the headset itself and it worked just fine. Only when I use it through my PC does the audio become distorted. Also a little side note I also can not hear any audio from other people while in a discord call. Of course I have all my drivers up to date for my GPU and audio. Along with that my headset is set to default and set as my communication default for audio, so I have no idea what is happening currently or what could be the cause of this. I am strongly hoping it's some sort of faulty driver, but at this point i'm unsure as to what it could be. It's a shot in the dark, I know, because this is such an odd issue, but it's worth a shot to see if anyone has possible solutions because I can't seem to find any on other forums identical to this topic. 13. Just recently resurrected an old build I had and was setting it up to play some games on it. My issue is that after installing the Xbox One wireless controller driver (the USB dongle version, controller is also the first model from the launch Xbox One) i’ll turn it on and it seems to work but It varies from game to game. Basically what happens is it’ll just randomly drop its connection to the dongle and it tries to reconnect but it just keeps flashing until I disconnect the dongle from the PC and reconnect it.For example I can play GTA V and it’ll be fine for 15-20 minutes and then it’ll disconnect and not reconnect until I unplug it. Skyrim (32-bit version) this one I can’t get it to stay connected for even 15 seconds. I’ve scoured on the Internet everywhere and cannot seem to find a solution. It works 100% fine on my laptop (Which is Windows 7) and my primary desktop (Which is Windows 10 version 1803) and does not suffer from the same issues of it disconnecting.Affected PC specs: CPU: Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 @ 4GHzMB: Evga nforce 790i Ultra SLIRAM: Patriot DDR3 1600MHz 2 x 4GBSSD: Kingston A400 120GB SATA IIISSD: Crucial MX100 512GB SATA IIIGPU: 2 x Nvidia GTX 660 in SLIPSU: Thermaltake White 600WOS: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit (all up to date)All USB 2.0 ports are functional Main Desktop it works on:CPU: Intel Core i7-5775C @ 4.4GHzMB: ASUS Z97-E/USB 3.1RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 2 x 8GB @ 2000MHzSSD: Samsung 850 Evo 120GBHDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 2TBGPU: AMD R9 290X 4GBPSU: Corsair RM850W GoldOS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (ver 1803)Worked in USB 2.0/3.0 and 3.1 portsLaptop it works in:CPU: Intel Pentium 2020M @ 2.4GHz (Ivy Bridge Mobile)MB: ToshibaRAM: Crucial 2 x 8GB 1600MHzOS: Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit (Up to date as far as I know)Worked in a USB 2.0 portSteps taken to try and fix it:1. Reinstalling Windows (did not work)2. Reinstalled the driver about 20 times now (did not work)3. Tested the device on two other computers (worked on both of those)4. Tried other devices in the USB ports of the affected PC (USB ports fully work)5. Tried a wired connection (Works but not in any game)6. GeForce Experience is not installed (I have heard conflicting statements on this affecting it and at the same time it doesn’t for other people)7. Tried it in all USB ports on the motherboard and it does the same exact thing.8. Computer is not too ancient as it worked in the previous incarnation of this same exact build minus the SLI, with an AsRock G41 motherboard 9. Set USB in device manager to not turn off to conserve power (did not work) 10. Updated the controller firmware via windows 10 xbox accessories app. (Did not work)If anyone has anything else I can try please suggest it because I have been pulling my hair out for a week trying to figure why it will not work in this computer.
  14. Hello there! My 1st gen Surface Laptop's IR camera has suddenly stopped working all of a sudden. I have had a Microsoft technician look at the device via the support app with no luck. When I look under device manager it says: "This device cannot start. (Code 10) {Operation Failed} The requested operation was unsuccessful." Windows don't even think I have an IR Camera When I try to update the device windows keeps saying that the optimal driver already is installed. I have also tried to download the Surface Laptop update from Microsoft directly. It didn't help at all. Is there anyone out there that can help :)?
  15. Did you ever had that problem that after a driver installation the screen went black but stayed on?
  16. Hello everyone, I'm thinking starting this post off with my pc build might be a wise choice seeing as I only have an idea of the problem. CPU: i7 4790K (@4.4ghz) GPU: R9 390 MSI (No overclock) RAM:24GB-2400mhz ram PSU:GS 600 Watt OS: Windows 10 Monitor is at 1080p. If you guys want more information as far as the pc goes let me know. Now on to the super fun issue I'm wondering if anyone else is having. I have all updated drivers and both in benchmark tests and in gameplay applications my graphics card is struggling to go over 50fps. When I first got the card I knew about graphics issues, and how the driver out of the box are terrible. Two updates later my card was running fine. Wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
  17. Graphics card: GTX 580 OS: Win 7 (64 bit) SP1 CPU: Intel Core i7 Extreme 990X Motherboard: Manufacturer: MEDIONPC Model:MS-7522 (CPU 1) BIOS: Brand: American Megatrends Inc. Version: A7522MLN.206 Date: 15.09.2010 No software or hardware modifications were done prior to the problem. My initial problem was that I'd get a BSOD instantly upon start-up. Removing all Nvidia drivers using DDU enabled me to boot my PC normally again without any issues. Then I tried to install the latest driver ( 365.19 ) and I got artifacts (green dotted lines) all over the screen. Installing an older driver ( 364.72 ) didn't change anything either. It appears that there are no artifacts on the screen only if there are no graphic drivers installed. Tried to stress test the card using FurMark, but doesn't work without drivers due to OpenGL requirements. So I decided to reinstall the latest driver to get a test done despite the artifacts, but FurMark won't even start because it cannot initialize 'ZoomGPU'. I should also mention that when the latest driver is installed Windows shows error 43 when looking at the graphics card in the hardware window and I cannot go past a resolution of 1600x1200 Is it certain that my GPU is damaged? Thanks in advance!
  18. Motherboard : MSI B150 Gaming M3 running B.3 bios/UEFI CPU : Intel i5 6500 (using integrated graphics) RAM : HyperX Fury 2x4GB DDR4 PSU : Seasonic M12II EVO 520W SSD : Adata SP550 120GB (boot drive) HDD : WD Blue 1TB OS : Windows 10 Home 64bit build 1511 CPU cooler : Stock Case : Corsair Carbibe Spec-01 What's wrong: I just built a new computer the other day and everything works fine and seems stable apart from this. I can't listen to sound without it crashing. Videos can play and not cause issue as long as nothing is plugged in to the audio jacks it seems, but when something is plugged in it may work for a while but then freezes and I have to force shutdown. It can run for hours as long as nothing is plugged in to the audio jacks although sometimes malwarebyte will cause it to freeze when i run a custom scan and select everything. It doesn't seem to happen in safe mode though. What I have tried: I have run memtest for about 5 passes with no errors. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the audio drivers as well with no change. (although i might be doing this wrong because they're always still there when i restart in normal mode) Anti virus scans bring up nothing either, and both my ssd and hdd are healthy in SMART. Also my temperatures are fine, I'm running idle at 28 degrees Celsius and load at about 30-34 degrees Celsius. I am really lost at this point and don't know where to go from here. I don't know if a BIOS update might fix it but so many people say that it bricks their boards I'm hesitant to try. Please help me and thank you to anyone who does.
  19. I've had a Dell XPS 15 for 3 months now. As its a brand new system running windows 10 I knew there would be bugs. There have been, but most of them have been updated. The latest issue I'm facing is that it wont play media on the first boot. Like as soon as I boot it wont play media like songs on Spotify or Youtube videos. I need to reboot once before it works properly. This has persisted for the last month. What is the reason for this? What can i do to fix this?
  20. When playing differnet games I am getting system crashes. Crashes take place seemingly randomly some while sat idle in game, I quite often have youtube running at the same time but do not suspect that to be the issue as it runs without crashing on its own. I am not getting a BSOD pop up instead it appears as if the power cuts out for a half second and then the system starts to boot agian. I have checked and temperatures are all running within acceptable levels. I have uninstalled and re-installed graphics drivers using Nvidia Geforce Expirence however both times at the end of the installation it has said it's ready but application has frozen and needed the process to be killed. 21. Hi everyone, i am using my trusty ASUS N56JR for school (Mostly just using Word, not a ton of gaming on this laptop). Since upgrading to an SSD and Win 10, whenever i try to enter sleep mode, it just causes a hard shutdown. it's not optimal, as i now have to shut down the laptop several times a day now, i just want it to enter sleep mode whenever i close the lid. When i upgraded to the SSD, i did not clone the old OS, and just started from scratch. I have downloaded all the necessary drivers directly from ASUS. What do you guys think i should do in this situation??? Note: Since the SSD upgrade the CPU has been runnin' a lot hotter than usual, and the battery life is horrible (about 1 hour 30 mins light use). I personally think this is a driver issue, or a borked OS. Reinstall Windows??? Thanks in advance.
  22. Ok so about 2 days ago i started playing games GTA V and Fallout 4 in my pc i5 4690k, r9 390, 8gb gskill ram. However, I have started to notice an fps drop in both games. I opened MSI after burner after about two hours worth of gaming(not all at once) and fond out my temps were at 93 Celcius!!!!! Did i burn my graphics card? This happened ever since I got the crimson drivers. Is there a solutiuon? please help I just built my rig with brand new parts about two months ago.
  23. So hey guys, I need desperate help if this does not stop! So many people have had this issue and no body has a good fix to it but to get around with it by making their GPU cards less performance, decrease the core and memory voltage etc. Well without doing any of the things above i want to fix whatever hardware or software that is making my nvidia driver keep crashing! What really happens: So i try playing a game like Minecraft. when i click and enter the world the monitor display goes black......most times it recovers saying driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered and on the minecraft itself it says ' OpenGL error code 3 with other words i dont remember as much". it also shows the driver version which stopped responding which is the driver obviously im using for my GPU. And...in other times the screen does not recover and i have to turn off the PC manually which i hate doing. What I have done: updated drivers, downgraded drivers, replace my GPU, replace my monitor, clean the PC (PC is quite new and its not clogged with dust at all so that not the issue in this case), taken out the memory sticks cleaned them as well, switched the memory sticks, make the core and memory voltage lower and higher, reinstall windows 8.1 a billion times!!! and nothing seems to work. I have even tried getting support from Nvidia Live Chat as well but their was no luck i even gave my PC into a computer repair shop and the people in the shop tested it and said it was working for them. They used exactly everything except for power supply cord and monitor. so i exchanged my PC power cord and monitor (mentioned above) and same issue came back. No matter how much effort i put my PC to get fixed with this ridiculous nvidia driver errors nothing works! If there is any person out there reading this please help! 24. motherboard 970A-G43 bios version E7693AMS V10.3 processor AMD FX 6300 6 core ram 16GB 8 x2 vengeancelp geforce 210 i am trying to install windows 7 but can not install drivers the computer boots fine it goes in to the bios fine , when i am trying to install windows it asks for drivers to be installed "load driver a required CD/DVD drive device is missing . if you do have a driver floppy disk, cd , dvd ,or usb falsh drive, please insert it now ." i assumed that it would be my motherboard or my gpu which needed drivers as ram and processor don't. when looking on the inslation disk in the windows insatler there is windows xp and vista . i looked on some forms and found that it should be in the vista but when looking there says there is no device drivers found . i did this for the gpu and no drivers were found . any way i then put drivers from the msi website http://uk.msi.com/product/mb/970AG43.html#/?div=Driver&os=Win8 32 on to the HDD and replaced it . when trying to install again it appears can see the file structure but there is no programs and i did the same with AMDS chip set drivers as this form recommended from toms hardware
