  1. My custom-loop custom desk-pc-build, with all its 'customness' glory to be revealed when complete! Feel free to reach out if you have questions
  2. I found this PC build : https://pcpartpicker.com/user/teoboss/saved/RnQp99. What do you think, shoud i change something ? (i will use it as an editing/graphic design rig)
  3. Hey Guys, I'm new here. Actually, I'm thinking to build a wooden PC case. Can anyone please let me know the pros and cons of a wooden PC case.
  4. Alright guys I have another one for you guys. I currently have the following build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BJXByf. It works perfectly fine however I am looking to put together a build that will blow anything I throw at it out of the water. So things to preface this with is I want to stay around the 8000 USD for everything excluding the desk. I am wanting to rock a triple monitor set up (resolution is not that big of a factor my current build has 2560x1440). I am wanting SLI 1080's (Non founders card because I hate the look). I am wanting the colors to be black and yellow (just because its a bit different). So any and all help would be greatly appreciated as I want something crazy but have a good price per dollar. Thank you Again here is the PC Part Picker https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rTdY2R
  5. Hey guys I got this account today and I'm new here so let me know if it is wrong to post this here. But I'm making a new gaming PC that is a little ridiculous and probably too pricey but whatever I'm going to do it. It's basically a copy of Linus' build from one of his newer videos see here: But I changed a couple things namely the motherboard and I want to know A: if this will work? B: what I could change? C: have I screwed anything up. D: Will my motherboard support wireless connection? My router is in a different room and my dog likes chewing Ethernet cables. E: Has anyone built something similar, yet? I am completely new to the PC scene, I've never built one and I've been on console my whole life. So I wanted something that will last me a while with the room and ease to improve. Your opinions will be gladly appreciated and I'm desperate for advice because I'm pretty certain I have no clue what to do. By the way I %100 percent know or think I've gone overboard, but that was my goal as I wanted this to last a long time. Thankyou so much for taking the time to reply and look at this if you do, any advice is much appreciated!! Terribly sorry about giving you the wrong link guys, I'm new here, but thanks for notifying me. Here is the correct link, I think: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/nhL3m8
  6. Hi I am going to build my own Rig from scratch(not literally) but i just have a little idea, of what i could put in it and i would wonder if some of you people in here could maybe take a look at it? https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Loui578i/saved/#view=hDhycf and yes I am a noob at building rigs and all that... So that's why i'm seaking abit of help here to maybe add a few comments on if it would actually work if i bought it all as it is in the link?
  7. Hi Guys I am here to asking suggestions from you guys who knows a lot about building a gaming pc. I want to build quite high end PC with budget around $2000 or maybe maximum (30 million Rupiah in Indonesia) Including Good Monitor with G-sync if necessary. GTX 1070/1080 LED Board , RAM, GPU CPU Cooler do I need liquid one or not? SSD / M2 Which one also better I confused about these? Good Warranty PSU (EVGA?) 24-27" Monitor Mainly used for gaming such as PUBG (this game so heavy), CSGO, Dota how about this: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/aldysts92/saved/8qrfrH Thanks in advance !
  8. Hey Guys, Finally have gotten around to cleaning my desk enough for a decent photo with all of my rigs, so thought it a good enough time to do a writeup of what I’ve got! In saying that, Please (for the love of Gaben) ignore the PotatoCamera. My 6S+ currently has an issue with the Beta firmware and AutoStabilizer that I can't fix. First off, like any functional network, is the modem or router, depending on the use case. I’ve got myself running a TP-Link modem bridging to my dedicated VESA-mounted ITX pfSense box (with all the good packages running) on the back of my servers’ screen to the Right. Theres a D-Link 802.11ac AP hiding behind there aswell, with everything connecting to a 16pt Netgear ProSAFE switch secured under the desk. Speaking of Server, refer to image 3 (black & green background). This i5-4670K@4.2GHz beast has looked after every device that’s come into contact with the residential wireless. Handling everything from SMB shares & DHCP leases to PXE boot environments & a few CSGO games, this 12tb storage box has lasted the last 3 years. But its now completely full, and due for a rackmount upgrade once my new living area is put together. Which I’ll get to later. Laptops have been slow and progressional, but all in all I think I’ve got a good combination. 18.6” Horize P170SM. i7-4700HQ, 16gb DDR3L, GTX765M, 1080p IPS, 2x mSATA drives (Win & Linux) 13.3” Metabox W230ST. i7-4770HQ, 16gb DDR3L, Intel iGPU (dGPU fried), 1080p TN, 2x mSATA (Work & Home) 13” Kogan Atlas UltraSlim Pro. M3-6Y30, 8gb LPDDR3, HD515, 1440p IPS, 256gb SSD (Win) Hiding away behind the 1080p IPS USB-C (DP/TB) screen just above the keyboard, is my Intel SkullCanyon NUC6i7KYK. i7-6770HQ, 32gb DDR4L, Iris Pro 580, 2x 256gb M.2 RAID0. Absolute beast of a PizzaPocketPC. Much worth. And now, my current main configuration. Weighing in at about what feels like 30kg on some days, The BeastRig. Equipped with an i7-6800K@4.2GHz and cooled with the H100i w/pushpull, my (unfortunately-replaced) GTX780Ti and gorgeous GTX1080Ti (Both ‘Founders’ and not OC’d), 32gb of CorsairDommyPlats (2x16gb DDR4@2400MHz), 512gb 950Pro M.2 SSD (and some 500gb 850EVO’s in the drive bays), with all of this connected to the only LGA2011-3 mATX motherboard I could find, Asus X99-M WS (I went through 3 DOA’s). A beautifully-crafted system. But I wanted more. So GOverlay LCD screen, all the compatible Corsair Link components and the USB headers are being jumped through the NZXT Hub+ thingo, all crammed into the Corsair Air 540. Of course, with RGB. Full load, pulls as much as possible from the HX1000i, which is pretty incredible. Now, I said I wanted more, didn’t I. So the BeastRig doesn’t stop there. I’m very familiar with virtual technologies, having used VMWare for a number of years for personal usage. But never having known about ESXi or Bare-Metal initialization. Which, when I looked into it (surprisingly just before Linus did one of the unRaid videos), I was amazed at what could be done with it. Google it, its pretty sweet stuff. Fast forward 2 weeks, I’ve got 3 virtual systems fully operational on this Beast of a machine. One connected to the 1080Ti with 6cores & 15gb RAM, and the other with the 780ti, 4cores and 10gb. Theres another machine with 2cores&4gb that I VNC/RDP into for downloading all of my perfectly legal content. Now, I’ve got my own little corporate environment running in my bedroom. Soon to get a more-than-hefty upgrade, which I'll re-post in a few weeks-months when its all up and running. w00t! If anyone wants more info on how the rigs run day to day, lemme know and I’ll fill you in. Shits pretty awesome IMO. *Last image, PC on the Right is not my rig; took BeastRig to a mates' for a sesh* Edit: I have atleast 3 instances of Synergy being served between these rigs for different purposes. Absolutely love Symless' program. Signing off, </MACE529>
  9. I am surprised this topic hasn't already been created honestly (from what I could find in the search) as I realised this topic could be quite funny. Perhaps it could be pinned because of that reason alone Anyway, I shall go first since I had two really weird dreams last night. 1. I somehow accidentally shut a kitten in a freezer until it became a block of ice. When I realised the kitten was in there, I took it out to let it dry in the sun and somehow the poor creature came back to life! I then kept it to love it forever 2. I went to a pool party but whenever I got in the pool rocks fell from the sky. Everyone in the pool at the time was told to run to a safe place which was a small green van several miles away (very odd if you ask me). Whoever got in the van first would win £250. Obviously with it being my dream I got to the van first but I ran on all fours and not my legs to get there. To my surprise I was then knighted and then given the £250 (my unconscious is actually richer than me haha) Anyway, please share your dreams and perhaps we can get this to become a pinned topic!! - Have fun!

  11. Hey guys please check out my build, it's basically the same as Linus' new $2000 build, except prices are in AUD and I changed a few things like the motherboard, ssd and hard drive to suit my needs. I just want a second opinion from you guys to make sure it all works and change things if needed. And then I can go ahead and make it already! PcPartPicker: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/C7LVGf Thanks, Chunks.
  12. I've always wanted to build a computer into a desk. My initial plans were much more grand in scale and included a custom water loop. However, that wasn't as easy to upgrade or maintain when built into a desk. From start to finish the project took me about three months of work mostly done on the weekends. The parts of the computer itself are as follows: MOBO - ASUS X370 Prime Pro CPU - Ryzen 1700x RAM - 32GB G-Skill Trident 2400 Mhz CL 15 GPU - EVGA nVidia GTX 980ti PSU - Seasonic - 850W Platinum OS Drive - 512GB Samsung 960 Pro CPU Cooler - NZXT X72 GPU Cooler - NZXT X61 w/ G12 Case - A heaily used NZXT H440 purchased from eBay was harmed in the making this computer desk. I'll do my best to keep this to a mostly computer related affair, but since my computer is inside of a desk, I had to build the desk. I'll start with the basic frame. I should point out that the frame can be taken apart easily (eight total parts) and moved, a requirement since I wouldn't have been able to get it in my door otherwise. Also note the 'rails' that are inside of the frame. This is how I suspend everything. More on that later. This is what it looks like with the top on it . Everyone of course wants to show off their computer, so I had to cut a hole and then route out an indent. I probably measured this more times than I feel comfortable admitting. I custom ordered a tempered glass panel that fits flush in the cutout. So how does all of this fit together? Kind of like this. The cabinet piece is completely separate and is more of a shell that sits around the computer and stands on its own. The computer sits in a bracket that is suspended by the rails built into the frame. The modular approach was important to me so I could move this large creation if I ever needed to. Most of what's left at this point is to build the computer into the desk. I'll spare you the finishing details of the desk and skip onto the good stuff. The computer was something I mostly already had, but it was time add some additional cooling power. I used my existing NZXT x61 to cool my 980ti and the new x72 to cool my Ryzen 1700x. Bother are overpowered for what they cool but I'm fine with that since I might want to upgrade to power hungry parts in the future (Zen 2). I mounted the radiators to the bracket that holds the computer. Then dropped the computer in and hooked everything up! All of the heat is dealt with outside of the case. The GPU and CPU both run at ambient temperature as long as they're not under sustained load. This is it powered on for the first time in its new home. The jankiest part of the whole build is the 'front' panel IO that's actually underneath the desk. This is the only place I could find to put it. It has two USB 3.0 ports, one USB C port, 3.5mm in/out, and an HDMI port. This makes it very easy to use my VR headset. The power and reset buttons are vandal switches, with the halo LED being the power switch/light and the smaller circle LED being the reset/hd button/light. Since these are under my desk, I don't ever see them, which is nice because they're kind of bright. This is all finished. I added two drawers below the computer for storage. I'm happy to answer any questions. Thanks for taking a look.
  13. So this is basically my first post and I just wanted to open the floor, so to speak, with a few shots of my baby. Next to it is basically an Obsidian 750D I found in the trash, it even had a Blue-Ray disk burner so I lucked out hard with that and I want to use it to make a Monster Rig

Ima noob at building...
  16. Just curious and want to know you guys' dream cars/motorcycles/vehicles. Price doesn't matter, it doesn't have to be a supercar or even a sports car or would you rather build your own car??? Would you like electric or plain old muscle V8. As for my dream car, it is tough to decide, real tough. I think I will go for the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita but as it is limited and sold out I think I will go for a crazily modified version of the Dodge Demon or a modded Mustang(70's maybe??). Count in a few GTRs and the Skylines and maybe a Tesla and you are almost there. I probably want to ride the F-35 Raptor too one day. But at 3 Billion $ it is a little out of my price range. Too bad i can't at least fly in a Concord.
  17. Hello Everyone! Hopefully you all have a good day! Im about to build my first ever PC and I think the gt1030 is enough since im only playing e-sport games.(Like CS:GO and PUBG) Here is the build; CPU: i3 8100 GPU: MSI GT 1030 AERO ITX 2G OC 2 GB Motherboard: MSI H310M PRO-VDH Intel H310 8th Gen Intel Soket 1151 DDR4 2666MHz RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB 2666MHz DDR4 Case: CORSAIR CARBİDE SERIES CHAMP/SPEC-04 RED/BLACK MidT ATX Case Power Supply: Corsair VS Serisi VS450 CP-9020096-EU 450Watt 80+ PSU HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB Have seen in benchmarks that i get minimum and maximum 29-50 fps on pubg in 1080p, but in 720 I wont get lower than 60 fps. In CS:GO doe Im getting around 300 fps on 1080p low settings. What do you guys think? Share your thoughts thankyou all <3
  18. Hey guys. Just wanted to start a discussion about a dream laptop I have. It doesn't exist, and I dare say it may never exist, but I just thought it'd be fun to discuss this with y'all. So imagine. A laptop. Yoga 920 sized with XPS bezels except for the top, to accommodate a 1080p, IR camera for Windows Hello Razer style body minus the green accents and flashy logo. Black, anodized aluminum finish. Lenovo ThinkPad keys with RGB, Razer font, numpad and with/without dedicated macro keys. 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports, full HDMI 2.0, 2 each USB 3.1 Type A and Type C, audio jack, microphone jack, full size SD card slot, and fingerprint reader. 1440p IPS Touch Display with Wacom AES Digitizer and 94% AdobeRGB Stereo speakers from -insert favorite audio manufacturer- with 2 subwoofers Graphics good enough for Dark Souls 3 (or your favorite game) on low settings. Hyperthreaded quad core, base 2GHz up to 3.5GHz All day battery (9+ hours normal use, 2+ gaming, ~99Wh) And best of all....360 degree hinge I'm talking about something so blasphemous and niche in nature that it would be counterproductive to even produce on a mass scale. That, is my perfect laptop. How about y'all? What absurdities and interesting ideas contribute to your perfect laptop? What do you think of mine?

  20. Firstly thank you to those mentioned in the above image for supporting my endeavors once again! I'm very excited to start my next personal project R1.0 INDUSTRIAL, after several months of collaborations it's great to be back in full control deciding my own specification. Not only that but setting the pace myself and taking the time to photograph everything and get it all out on the forums! So a little writing about the project first to get things going, much like LIGHTNING this is centered around a very special piece of hardware and providing it with all of the power and cooling required is the main focus. The build won't be adorned with anything unnecessary however no compromises will be made along the way either. As the name implies aesthetically it will remain subtle and raw with nothing for show but nothing to hide. I intend to apply this way of thinking to each individual element and hopefully the end result will remain sympathetic to it's origin. As of this moment I don't have every part but I definitely won't be straying far from what I have decided as so many will be integral to the design of the case. I will elaborate on the reasoning as I unbox things but already it's clear that I have opted for completely colour neutral products with extremely reserved branding. XFX Radeon Pro Duo x2 ASUS X99-M WS Intel Broadwell-E i7-5960X Corsair Dominator Platinum 4x4GB 3200C16 Corsair Force MP500 M.2 480GB Western Digital Black 1TB x2 EVGA Supernova 1600T2 Parvum R1.0 INDUSTRIAL Aqua Computer Aquaero 6 LT Aqua Computer Aquaero 6 Passive Heatsink - Black EK-Supremacy EVO X99 - Nickel Plexi EK-FC Radeon Pro Duo - Nickel Plexi x2 EK-FC Radeon Pro Duo Backplate - Black x2 EK-XTOP Revo D5 PWM - Plexi (incl. pump) x2 EK-CoolStream PE 360 (Triple) x2 EK-CoolStream CE 280 (Dual) EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink - Black EK-HD Adapter 10/12mm - Black x30 EK HD Tube 10/12mm 2-Slot (2 pcs) x2 EK-AF Angled 90° G1/4 - Black x4 EK-AF Extender Rotary M-M G1/4 - Black x2 EK-CSQ Plug G1/4 - Black x2 Noctua NF-F12 IndustrialPPC 2000RPM IP67 PWM x6 Noctua NF-A14 IndustrialPPC 2000RPM IP67 PWM x2 Noctua NA-SAVP1 Chromax - Black x4 Straight in with the aforementioned centerpiece and for once i'm not even going to attempt to conceal one for later! Because there is just something about being instantly hit with 6 fully formed PCIe power connectors that it would be rude to hold back. It comes as quite a shock when 6 screws later a magnificently elegant Cooler Master solution is unveiled, clearly far more attention was put into this than just doubling up their single card efforts. But lets take an even closer look and not pretend a standard cooling solution was ever going to last long in my hands. Very rapidly all kinds of beautiful secrets were exposed, two massive cores, PLX chips and endless power circuitry neatly tessellated inbetween. Considering the PCB size is no bigger than what would be found on a single GPU GDDR5 card the density is insane. A good cleaning was in order to reveal the mirror perfect Fiji cores and all the little High Bandwidth Memes! Already from the little bit of performance testing I managed to do (yeah these two cards instantly smashed my overclocked quad 780Ti's) and my time spent taking them apart I am completely in love with these cards. The brutal insolence of power, crossfire, PLX chips and the effort taken to package everything so elegantly together is astounding. I'll be back very soon with a preview of the case! JR
  21. Hi! I am looking for a good build and my budget is about 1250 euros(counting peripherals)...I want to play maxed out games in 1080p.I was thinking about crossfiring two rx 480's and use a i5-6500.Here in my room i get easily 45 deegres so i want it to have a great cooling system if possible. What should I do? Thanks for the attention
  22. So i had this funny/weird dream last night and i thought you guys might be entertained by it so here it goes so there was some kind of apocalypse, i presume a disease or something, so i was in a house in what i presume was California with most of my family, but they all had left to go scavenging and stuff except me and my cousin Kevin. So than a cult that we had never heard of comes into are house and kidnaps us, they bring us to this weird cult called the sleeping dogs where they kidnap people and treat them like dogs, one of the rules is unless you are a camp leader you have to wear an eye-patch over one of your eyes, and only camp leaders can take there eye-patch off, they also don't allow you to talk, the camp was split between camp A and camp B, I went along with the cult and was a really good cult member because i knew how to scavenge because i watched many movies and read many books about post-apocalypse, they sent me to camp a and my cousin Kevin to camp b, of corse we could not communicate between camps, eventually after a few scavenging missions they made me the leader of my camp and took my eye-patch of, the light hurt my eye so much i could barely see, and i convinced them to combine the camps because i really wanted to see my cousin Kevin, but when they finally combine the camps i learn that my cousin Kevin has escaped, so i wait until we are about to do are doggy yoga and then run away (BTW if you didn't catch on they literally treat us like dogs) the first time i run away they catch me, then next day at yoga i try to run away again, they catch me, the day after that at yoga though i manage to escape, meet this guy who i kinda know named Getz running around, i would have made friends with him but i was running away, so i run into a YMCA and then they cant find me, so when i find out the cost is clear i start searching the ymca for food, when i was younger i was at the YMCA all the time so i knew my way around better than most, i go into this supply room that barely anyone knows exists and there is very little food left in there, like two boxes of gram-crackers, there is a little girl and her older sister in there, i let them have the boxes although i am so hungry, i am so hungry in fact i pass out while standing in the dream then i wake up IRL and thats where the dream ends
  23. Helloooooo Internet! Thank you so much for checking out my new case mod, Project Royale! This will be my second major case mod, this one inside of the In-Win S-Frame, consisting of mods which I have not performed on an S-Frame before. I am looking forward to getting started! Please check out my first mod, project gSquared here. The color scheme will be Black, Blue and Gold, as I will be showcasing the original finish of the S-Frame, which is the best finish I have ever seen on a case. Now, let's start off with some specs: CPU - Intel Core i7-5930k (Received) Motherboard - Asus Rampage V Extreme (Received) RAM - 64gb of Corsair Dominator Platinums @ 2400mhz (Received) GPU - 3x Asus Geforce GTX 980ti Strix OC (Received) PSU - EVGA 1000G 1000W (Received) Storage - Something m.2, not decided yet. Case - In-Win S-Frame (Received) Cooling: TBD Control: Aquacomputer Aquaero 6 XT Lighting: Aquacomputer Farbwerk I will be liquid cooling this monster, but I am not sure what products I will be using. Stay Tuned! Mods: - Relocate Power Supply to main compartment by creating custom plate - Install 480mm Radiator in original PSU compartment - Create Mount Plate for Dual D5 pumps, which will run in serial. - Create cover plate for HDD Bay Slots, then mount Aquaero to this plate - Cut hole for cable routing - Custom wiring for all wires - Create cover plate for front I/O (I am not too sure whether or not this will happen, depends on how easily I will be able to sleeve the USB 3.0 wires) - Drill passthrough holes for pipes - Find something to create more space between the rear glass panel and the back panel of the case, so that I will be able to place pipes back there Now that all of that is out of the way, let's get to some photos! Some renders of the project: (These were based on EK Blocks and Blue Bitspower Fittings, but these are not final) Product Photo Bomb, Incoming!!!!! A couple Pics of the 5930k. I purchased it used, so it still has a bit of TIM on it. All six cores of awesomeness are visible in this photo! ;P Some RAM from the Gods right here. It's watching you.... Aaaand now for the most beastly motherboard I have ever seen, period! Loaded up. There's something about 8 DIMM slots filled with Dom Plats that gives me an immeasurable amount of satisfaction. A crap ton of accessories are included with this board, it's insane! Oh, and one more PCB Traces! Now I realize these aren't 1080's but I got them at a killer deal, so I GUESS these will have to do... The backplates on these cards look killer! And now, the main event! This shot is to really show off the beautiful finish of the case, with Brushed/flat black and gold accents. I love it so much I am going to keep it! Here are a few shots with the hardware loaded up... Well, that is all for now, the next update should consist of starting the modifications. Thanks for looking! Dawson
  24. Hey people! I like laptops. They can do a lot of desktop-like tasks without being too much less portable than a phone (I find that in general, tablets are pretty useless). There's a whole lot of diversity in the market, and lots of different ways manufacturers have approached them. So I've been wondering: What's your dream laptop? Would it be an ultrabook? A beast gaming rig? A tablet-laptop hybrid? How would you use it? In conjunction with a desktop? As a replacement for your desktop? What features can you not live without? What features do you need? Please use technologies that have been demonstrated in the past (i.e. no Titan X's in 10-mm thin ultrabooks). Things like 360 hinges, flexible OLED displays, fingerprint sensors, all fair game as long as it's realistic. I'll start: My dream laptop would be an ultrabook, I would constantly have it with me and hook it up to an external graphics card for work so I don't have to maintain separate computers. It would have a 13.3" 3200x1800 OLED borderless touchscreen display with one chin on the bottom (XPS style). It would have a 360 hinge connecting it to a moderately thin chassis with an i7-6560U with 540 Iris Pro graphics (moderately powerful), 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. It would have one USB C, one USB A, MiniDP, SD, and headphone jack. I would have a GTX 1070 sitting in an external GPU chassis to be connected via USB C. The screen would have a magnetic pressure-sensitive stylus (those are a lot more useful than you'd think, just try using a SP4). The computer would have a metallic outer casing. So it'd be something like a mashup of the Dell XPS 13, MS SP4, and Lenovo Yoga Pro 3. What's your dream laptop?
