I am having troubles launching some games, below are some of the errors/codes that I pulled from logs. At first I thought my CMOS battery was dead because SSL errors are usually due to mistimed clocks, however I don't think this is the case since I've unplugged my computer's power cable and the bios settings have persisted and also the clock is correct. In League of Legends: 000002.089| ERROR| ExternalClient| ClientWebSocketTransport: After SSL_connect SSL_get_error returned 1... in Dota 2: [SteamNetSockets] Cert request for steamid:76561198055317817 failed with reason code 5002. During playing games specially dota 2 my games are stuttering. I don't know the reason. My fps are really low. My specs are: Xeon e3 1270 v3 Gigabyte H81 motherboard 16 GB RAM (2*8) 2666Hz AMD R9 280x my fps fall to 25 30 and go max at 45 50 and the weird thing for me is even though I decrease the quality to the lowest setting it doesn't change a thing. Same FPS same Stuttering. I thought maybe my cpu is heating up and it was a little bit . So I changed my cooler to a better one from intel stock cooler. Now my temps stay between 50 to 60 C nothing is utilized fully. So I have no idea what to do?

Current Setup: CPU - AMD Ryzen 3 1300x GPU - ASUS Cerberus GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Advanced Edition 4GB GDDR5 MOB - B350M Gaming Pro (Micro ATX) RAM - 1 x 8GB 2400Mhz (HyperX Predator) (2 slots available, only one being used) PSU - EVGA 500W Display Monitor - Samsung 23" 60Hz *(I am not Overclocking, only XMP is enabled) Hi, I was hoping to use this forum to gain some knowledge on where I can upgrade. Keep in mind I am on a budget so going extreme or high end is not really an option for me right now. Firstly I only play one game and that is Dota 2 (Max FPS 110/120). Quality is definitely a must, and decent FPS with the right monitor to match. So I am at the stage where I want to purchase a new monitor but is it worth it with my current setup? (I really want to use either a 27" or 32" curved or even 34" depending on price) I do not play any high end games but only Dota 2, however I have seen people play at 4k and the games looks beautiful. So I guess the question is, what can I do to play this game at a respectable FPS (higher than 60fps of course) and have this impeccable display and experience when playing the game I most enjoy? Do not get me wrong, this current setup is working for me and plays the game, I just feel that it is time for an upgrade specially with a new monitor, I want to go bigger. With that said I need to take into consideration all the different variables when it comes to gaming monitors such as: - Refresh Rates - Response Times - Resolution - Type of cables that will be used (HDMI / DP etc) - Brands List goes on. It has been mentioned that doing a CPU upgrade will benefit as well as using 2x 8GB RAM. (As AMD will benefit using dual RAM instead of one) Where do I start? Is it worth buying a new monitor or do I start within the computer? Quick Note: I recently played Dota 2 on a Samsung 27" 75Hz monitor and I immediately noticed the color and a slight smoothness and I was impressed. (hence the reason I want to upgrade my monitor) Would it be worth maybe just saving a bit and going for a 144Hz with my current setup? As I instantly noticed the jump from 60hz to 75Hz, (If that is the case I should really see and feel the jump from 75Hz to 144Hz) However I am not hitting 144FPS. Not 100% sure on what is the next step in moving forward here. Thank you.

My system is a intel xeon e3 1231 v3, r9 380x (not overclocked or anything), 16 gb ram, ssd for storage. I've noticed I am always stuck on 60 fps no matter what and I'm not sure why. I'd like to be closer to 100 and I don't think my hardware should be an issue as far as I know. Maybe it's a settings issue? Hopefully someone with Dota2 knowledge can help me as I'm relatively new to Dota2 even though I played Dota1 like crazy. I've also noticed my graphics card rarely gets over 40 deg Cel, which isn't a bad thing but even at 60 fps (and I can never seem to go higher), the temp never goes up. I'd happily increase higher temps to get higher framerates as those temps are still really low even at full load. I feel like I'm missing something. Also I should mention I'm only playing at 1080p. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

yesterday i got my new laptop on my hand which is dell inspiron 7567 1050ti version. unlike others, asia version have only with 4gb ram inside. Is it the cause of the fps drop for my games? I have tested dota 2 (around 55-60fps in high settings) and watchdogs 2 (around 35-45fps in high settings). i have set the power options to the max and updated nvidia drivers

Hi. When exactly is it advisable to turn VSYNC on? I play DOTA 2 with VSYNC off and I kinda notice turning it on while playing a single game and I felt better gaming performance.. or is it? Turned off: 70-90fps with 100+ max Turned on: 59-60fps with the lowest of 56 I have a Samsung SyncMaster monitor (not really a gaming monitor) with 1366 x 768 HD resolution (not FULL HD) and 60Hz refresh rate. The problem that I encountered now is that when I'm in the GAME MENU of Dota 2, I get a locked FPS count of 30 (HALF MY VSYNCed fps count) My Maximum fps count is set to 120. Enlighten me pls. Thanks.

Can someone guide me to setting up QoS to prioritize online games because every time I'm not alone at home, Dota 2 becomes unplayable. I heard QoS might fix this but my QoS settings seems a bit odd compared to the QoS settings tutorial I looked up online... anyways here are the screenshots

before i start here are my pc hardware and ingame shots with fps on top right: specs : Ingame FPS : Here's the problem, I checked the fps test on the 1060 on youtube and google most of them are running atleast an average 100fps or above and i cant even reach 100fps with my hero on screen, and when there's a clash or multiple spell being casted, it will drop to below 60fps that's actually frustrating me a hell lot .. i tried to google for a solution , and what i did was uninstalling the driver and the game completely, reinstall my game on my 120GB apacer ssd. downgrading my geforce driver, disabling my intel on board graphic, overclocking my GPU, changing the dota 2 from -dx11 to -gl to -vulkan and so on .. and it still perform the same .. can someone pls help on this .... I spent around 4.4k Malaysia dollar(around 800-850usd) to build this for a smooth dota 2 gaming and i cant even hit 100fps ..

I don't know how to explain this, but i let HWMonitor run in the Background when i open and play Dota 2, on High settings with a few things turned off, i saw these results, and thought is my GPU a bottleneck from this percentage useage? I don't know much about it but I'd like better opinion.

Hello, I really need some help about Dota, my FPS is beyond stupid, my first game i can stay for 30 minutes at my stable 104 FPS, where i capped it, but after that do i open shop and stay in fountain it drops to 90-95 at some points, back to 100+ if i stay all still, and I just had a game, were all 10 was in a teamfight, and all of a sudden my FPS just drops waaaay more all the way down to 67 FPS at lowest, it's like it started giving me small lags, i have almost tried everything. Reinstall - Didn't solve it. Reinstall again, because all my games bugged and Windows have installed every off my drivers, didn't solve it <- Playing on this now. also made sure sfc /scannow, found nothing, checked my ram found nothing. Ran Prime95 in about 5 minutes didn't crash. My specs are: i5 4670K ASUS Rog Strix 1070 OC ASRock z87 EXTREME6 16 GB HyperX Predator 1866 750Watt Corsair PSU fully modular 120GB SSD <- Windows 500GB HDD 7200 RPM <-- Games I am not the techiest, but Windows have installed all the drivers i am using. (I update the videodriver) but since I don't know if the drivers windows installs VS the manufacturer if they even can make me obtain better performance, but can anyone help me why this happens? And my temps are fine: CPU doesn't hit over 55 GFX doesn't hit over 60 tho my CPU through Task Manager hits sometimes 70% but I don't know if that's the problem. I see now i haven't had the latest Nvidia driver, i just got notified, my bad, but that shouldn't do it because it happend on the latest 3 updates. EDIT: i also updated my BIOS from 2.10 - 2.40 also didn't help me. Edit 2: In Bios I haven't changes ANYTHING since i updated it, my CPU isn't OC'ed In my 3D Settings in Nvidia I haven't changed anything, and I am to scared to touch anything.

After visiting two stores in town i found both out of Stem cards with the exception of Dota 2 Steam cards. I did a cursory Gogle search and could not find a concrete answer yes or no as to whether they would work for general Steam purchases. I took a chance buying two and am happy to say they both went right into the Steam wallet and I was able to purchase Playerunknown's Battleground. Installing now and hope its as good as it looks.

Hey guys, i just got a new 144hz monitor in order to play dota 2 (i literally just play this game, and so much) I play at 1080p in ultra, and this are my results during fights (highest resources usage) in fps: Min. 83, Max. 105, Avg. 94.312. I was wondering what upgrade will fit better in order to get more fps, and hopefully get a much more decent average, (like 120-130 1080p ultra settings) This is my setup: FX6300 OC to 4.4ghzCoolerMaster Seidon 120vMobo MSI Gaming 970GPU Sapphire R9 270RAM 2x4GB DDR3 1833mhzPSU EVGA 500w Remember thats only with that purpouse, play dota ultra 1080p 144hz. I thought that i could upgrade my gpu cuz an cpu change might do nothing (like getting a 8350). I was looking for a rx 470 or a gtx 1060, but i dont know if it will give me bottleneck, and also dont know how to test it. My OC will allow me to run one of those gpus properly? I hope you guys could help me. Thanks for reading tho

After braking the record for total prize pool in eSports once again, The International 7 has breach the $10M mark for 1st place prize. The competition is organize by Valve themselves. Being a first party event, it allows Valve to crowdfund the price pool through in-game Battle Pass sales. With the sales still going on throughout the month expect the prize money to grow. https://www.joindota.com/en/news/57232-8-digits-1st-place-at-ti7-is-now-worth-over-10000000

I'm looking for nothing more than a simple display card on my backup Ubuntu box. AMD still has issues on the latest Ubuntu versions so I'll be buying Nvidia this time (which is quite rare for me.) Here's the specs: i7-920 6GB DD3-1600 tri-channel xfx 4890 (which makes a ton of blower noise -- which is why I want to replace it.) p5something deluxe mobo some random 1tb hitache hdd (probably a deathstar) requirements: hdmi but I can settle with a dvi adapter (as that's the way I'm doing it with the 4890.) no screen tearing (that's why nvidia not amd for linux) probably no gaming but at least the ability to playback 1080p at 30+ fps. Now I know I can probably buy a card that costs $10-15 on ebay that satisfies these requirements but I would rather buy from somewhere NOT shady, is new, and has a minimal warranty. So that brings me to the $30 category: 210 Passive or 8400 GS Passive or GT 610 LP or GT 710 LP (don't be fooled by the scam "rebate card" here.) I'm not even sure those LP cards are going to fit inside a standard case -- everyone asks if a "LP bracket" is included, but isn't that for LP cases? The "standard" versions appear to go for $40.

Hi, I live in a shared house and we use the same wifi network. My friend plays Dota 2 on steam, and when he plays Dota 2, I can't connect to call of duty modern warfare server via blizzard. Now, I tried port forwarding for me and for him. Still whenever he plays Dota 2 , I can't connect to COD server. But if I connect to the server first, he can connect to Dota 2 via steam without any issue. Anyone has an idea, what's going on here? Thanks

guys! i was done updating my windows 10 version 1903. i think i updated some minor updates of the version 1903 (os build). after that, im trying to play dota 2 but suddenly its stop working. first it goes to its normal process which opens the game and go the loading screen of the game but after few seconds, it's stopped and totally terminated from the task manager. no error message from the game. i've tried to verify the game files integrity but still no luck. i already reinstall the game but when i open it again. it continues to the main menu of the game but after a few seconds it stop working again and close automatically. is it possible that the new update of the version 1903 (os build 18362.356) this is the latest os build version of my windows 10) affect the game or having some bugs that's why the game stop working after trying to open it? any opinion on this? thanks.

Hello everyone! I would like to share with you my current build and a story: Intel Core i72600 Dell 0y2mrg G.Skill Sniper 32gb(4x8gb) EVGA GTX 980ti ftw EVGA Supernova 750 G2 Here's a little bit of history behind this Dell XPS 8300 from 2011. I bought it by phone and got the Dell XPS8300 at a bare minimum close to 700 USD. Purchased the memory separately and started at 16gb at start. Counter strike 1.6, Dota1/2 and Diablo all ran great. As for video cards, I started with the stock GeForce 6800 GT something then this computer went on a video card journey. EVGA GeForce 9800 GT -> EVGA GTX 260 -> EVGA GTX 280 -> EVGA GeForce GTX770 SC. When I bought the 770 I remember thinking the card would last forever. Thought the same thing getting the 980ti.. and here and I am now buying the 1080ti. Now I hope, and have a good feeling that they will, make faster cards well into the future. Over time I upgraded the memory, power supply, and the hard drives. Running raid 0 on two kingston ssds from, I dunno when, gets me to the login screen under 20 seconds from a cold boot. The Windows starting logo starts its animation for about a second and then login screen. I also get a constant 60-105fps in pubg @ 1080 all settings low exempt antialias and textures both on high. Just recently the motherboard died on me. All the usb ports started to fail one by one and by the time the replacement arrived I was down to 1 port haha. I have since replaced the motherboard and it's just like new but the whole ordeal opened my eyes.. I believe an upgrade is well over due. Over the last few months I've been compiling a list. Here's what I'm planning to upgrade to and would like your opinions. What do you think about this build? How can I improve it? Should I get the G.Skill Tridentz instead? Let me know! Intel Core i7-8700K EVGA CLC 280 ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero Kingston Technology HyperX FURY Black 32GB 3466MHz EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 EVGA SuperNOVA 1200 P2 Samsung 970 EVO 250GB Thank you! -Leo

S: Open AI. Open AI has been making leaps and strides in its AI technology and it has confirmed in a new blog today that it can beat of 5v5 which was thought to be a really difficult task. They achieved this in collaboration with Google Cloud Program. During this testing they added some restrictions onto the gamemode to assist Open AI complete this project a little faster. They're still on track to make an appearance at The International 8 in Canada. Open AI faced several issues with coding and learning with the bots due to the way DOTA 2 works in general as they went onto elaborate. Open AI used some very, VERY powerful hardware to achieve this kind of machine learning Open AI invited several people, including Valve employees to test the bot and the results was fairly surpring. For those that are interested, Open AI uploaded some footage to it's YT channel showing the work it has done. What's next? Open AI plan on doing an event on July 28th in San Francisco (You can attend if you wish for free) and it'll be streamed live on Twitch! tl;dr bots are scary, don't fuck with Open AI bots on DOTA 2.

Hi, I'm looking for a laptop under $800. I will be using it as my daily driver and for my study in IT as well. I like to play dota2, csgo, pubg, fortnite and maybe some other triple A titles. I've looked into acer e5 476g and I think it's too thick imo. Can you guys recommend thinner laptops or should I buy y520 instead? Or should I wait till the kaby lake g series laptop, because I want to use it for around 3 to 4 years. Please help me out, thanks.
