I'm trying to play Doom Infinite (GZDoom wad running off Doom 2) on a 64bit Ubuntu 22.04 system (and I've switched on Wayland). At random intervals I'm getting my screens both freezing and sometimes it will fix itself after a bit and I'll see these log10 singularity errors in the console. Sometimes it will crash and I can see the log. But most of the time it will just sit there frozen for a long time and I'll have to REISUB reboot my laptop. While frozen I can still hear videos running in the background, I can hear they are switching to the next video in the autoplay youtube queue so even the internet still works. But Discord will crash almost immediately. I'm pretty new at linux and not having this issue on my PC. I've checked the WADs discord and there was only one other mention of log10 singularity errors but they said it's odd that its freezing my computer. I've ran the ubuntu software autoupdater and am pretty sure that includes the GPU driver being up to date. I've tried fullscreen, windowed, using recommended settings. What can I do to troubleshoot?

Hey can anyone help me with a pos device. I have a spare pax global A50 which runs a lockdown version of Android. It only runs a single payment app but at starting it shows Android load screen and then load the software.A50_EN_20230217_Contactless_EMEA.pdf I have tried many softwares like paydroid and box light. Paydroid didn't work for me or the version I can't make it work and box light a software I saw on a YouTube video I was unable to find. I have accidentally triggered the anti temper detection so I think flashing a fresh install is my only option. It works like a normal Android phone by pressing volume up and power button it shift into "firmware download mode" a fast boot with proprietary crap. And I know salvaging this device is not worth it but it will be the first pos to run doom.

Hi all, I just recently bought DOOM Eternal on Steam. The specs of my rig are: CPU - Intel i7 6700 GPU - ROG RTX2070 Super RAM - 16GB Monitor - LG 2560x1080 Ultrawide (75Hz) Unfortunately, the game is unplayable for me due to random drops in frame rate down to single digits. These drops occur seemingly at random whether I'm walking down a straight corridor or in the middle of combat. When the game is working I usually have a comfortable 150 fps. I am playing on the Ultra nightmare preset with Gsync off. I am also having a smaller issue with screen tearing. Does anyone have any advice? Edit: I can also confirm that I have the latest drivers installed and I have verified the game files in Steam.

Hey, Me and some friends of mine recently had the idea of making an open-source remake of Doom 1. This project will be made for educational purposes and we will make no money, so we won't have any problems with the rights of the game. What we want right now is: C# programmers, with basic knowledge about game development. Python Programmers Html Programmers 3d Animation Designers 2d Animation Designers A writer (Although, our game will 100% be based on the original story) Music and Sound Effects artist If you want to join our team just send an e-mail on doom1remake@gmail.com (emails with attachments will automatically be deleted) and we will inform you as soon as possible!!! Heya everyone! As you all know, Doom runs on everything and it's a meme to run it on the most crazy kinds of hardware. I wonder what the limits would be. The few ideas I had sound crazy and I have no idea if anyone thought of it before. Motherboard chipsets. They are literally just microcontrollers technically. A TV remote. There is plenty of smart TV remotes with insane features. So I wonder if it would be doable. They must be running some basic capable hardware. Nanoleaf Panels. If you had like a million of them, they could work as a screen technically. Not sure how capable the "base stations" are. Anyways, stay safe everyone, Have a nice day

Hi guys, So today I downloaded Doom eternal from the Xbox app through the Xbox Game pass. For about the first hour the game ran really smooth, not a single problem. Playing on the Ultra present, 144fps+ no problem. I got toward the end of the first mission and that's when the good stopped. I started having random FPS drops to like 25fps for no apparent reason. One second the game was running smooth 144fps, then like a flick of a switch the game would be limited to 25fps till I restarted the game. After getting frustrated a little, I quit playing for a couple hours. I came back and the FPS issues seemed to have gone away but I have a completely different issue making the game unplayable... Ill load into the game and into the main menu fine, start the mission and after like 30 seconds, the screen will just randomly go black for a second or two and come back, and it happens over and over again randomly. While the screen is black I can still move around and play the game and can hear the audio, just no video at all. I really have no idea what could be the issue as I literally didn't change anything from when I played the game before when it was running fine. I have my GPU drivers updated to the latest update and haven't updated them in the time where it was running smooth to this problem. Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X GPU: MSI GamingZ RTX 2060 Motherboard: ASRock B450M pro4 RAM: Corsair 16GB DDR4 Monitor: HP 25X 1080p 144hz 16:9

I remember history well, once the mining profits goes boom the market will be flooded with used cards and the new cards will be over stocked... Now what time frame are we speaking of before Etherium and others starts to be unprofitable to mine with RX 6000 and 30-series GPUs? When will we see the ASIC take over again?

Hey everyone, I recently found myself bored again, and wanted to try and play some custom DOOM WADs like Valiant, Hurt, etc. using GZDoom on Mac OS. When I use commercial WADs like Ultimate Doom, Doom 2, TNT, and Plutonia, it works fine. However, when I download the custom WADs and add them to the GZDoom folder, none of them are detected by the GZDoom launcher. I'm wondering if any of you know how to load and play these custom WADs, maybe there's something missing in GZDoom? I'm a total noob at this, and will take any advice you guys can offer.

Can an Aegis B60 vap run doom, the answer I have right now is maybe, I mean we've gotten doom to run on a bunch of weird stuff. Here I am today to find out what is or isn't possible before I dive in and try to figure this out, so the manufacturer said it has no memory for running games and that it's firmware is on a chipset. So I'm thinking maybe a highly custom firmware that basically just has a doom port on it, or I rip it apart and modify it the way they did the pregnancy test and lcd screen. Now I know if we do that it's basically guaranteed to work, what I want to try to do is get doom on it and keep the vape itself working. Any ideas or advice appreciated because I'll admit I need to do more research before even attempting to upload anything to it's chipset or modifying it. The people at geekvape advised against this obviously but, they did give me some helpful information on their device and advised against hacking into it or loading on third party firmware, but they also told me to factory reset it if need be to get it back to its old self. So I see this as a we don't recommend it but want to see it response

Summary On Sunday, YouTuber Samperson uploaded a video in which he played DOOM within Windows Notepad. The developer claims that DOOM may be run without any modifications to Notepad. The video already got over half a million views. This project was even cool enough to get John Romero, one of the creators of Doom, to react on Twitter. "Incredible," John Romero says in a tweet responding to Chiet. Quotes My thoughts Right when you thought you've seen DOOM run on just about everything, someone comes up with a new way to run it. I think this is cool, adding to the long list of what we've seen DOOM run on. Having John Romero chime in is also pretty sweet too, I must say. Hopefully the creator of this releases the tools soon to be able to do this yourself. I also think it running at 60 fps is surprising. Hi. I'm trying to play DOOM Eternal at 120Hz but the game refuses to. I've gotten it to work some times but I have no idea how or why since it happens randomly. I have my PC at 1920*1080 120Hz before running the game and my TV supports FreeSync. But when I launch DOOM it switches to 60Hz even though I have its video settings to Adaptive Sync. Changing it to 120Hz using Hotkey Resolution Changer just makes thee game go black. If I move the mouse around I can hear the sounds of the menu so it's not frozen, changing it back to 60Hz brings it back. And I've gotten it to work twice now, but no idea how since it's likely luck Leaving the game with ALT+Tab, setting it back to 120Hz and then returning to the game also makes it go back to 60Hz. Turning off V-sync entirely makes the game run at higher refresh rates but leaves my TV stuck at 60Hz

Trying this again... My PC continues to shut down out of nowhere while I’m playing games like DOOM Eternal or Tetris Effect. No error message, no nothing. Just turns off and starts back up again. And I wiped and reinstalled my Windows 10 installation 3 days ago and I continue to have the problem. The only sort of error I can find is in the Windows Event Viewer with Critical level events and they’re all as follow: ”The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly” Source: Kernel-Power Event ID: 41 Task Category: (63) While I can’t see while I’m playing, I use AMD Link on my iPhone to see temperatures and other things and they’re all just fine if you ask me. Hard to even see the GPU over 80°. As the title states, 8GB RX 480 for 180$ and a free copy of DOOM? A great deal imho, even with the card being a reference design, seems like its value for money is insane: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150770&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker, LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Hi everyone! I recently updated my video card to an RX 460 and I wanted to test it by playing DOOM. As I always do, I downloaded the Demo before buying. To me it was good, ~45 FPS in Ultra. I was told that enabling Vulkan in this game gives you a major performance boost, so I tested it and... instant crash. After the crash, the game won't even launch, It would always show the crash window. I managed to launch it with "+r_renderapi 0" in launch options, but as soon as I activate Vulkan the game crashes. I have many doubts by this, I've been having some issues with every single device I bought, so I'm afraid it could be a video card issue, but it seems very unlikely, also, I have a crappy PSU but again, as long as my understanding of computers go, it's unlikely to be a hardware issue. Also I'm interested on buying this game, but this issue is holding me back, do you think it's a demo only problem? could the actual game be fixed?. I leave you with my system specs: CPU: AMD A6-3670 (4 cores @ 2.7 Ghz) RAM: 8gb DDR3 MOBO: Asus M1A55-M LX (BIOS version 1103 - 02/24/2012) Graphics Card: ASUS Strix RX 460 4gb (Driver version 17.1.2, updated as of 07/02/2017) OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 And if you're asking for the PSU... it says 600w on the side, but it didn't even come with a power switch, I had to connect the Video Card with a Molex-to-6-pin adapter. Oh, and the latest crash message (after trying to launch with "+r_renderapi 1" wich launchs it in Vulkan): Callstack Function(desc) Line Bytes File Process Address --------------------------- ---- ----- ---- ------- ------- vkWaitForFences() ... + 0x95220fff vulkan-1.dll GetGameSystemInterface() ... + 0x5a7537d5 DOOMx64vk.exe GetGameSystemInterface() ... + 0x5a75fab4 DOOMx64vk.exe GetGameSystemInterface() ... + 0x5a75a971 DOOMx64vk.exe GetGameSystemInterface() ... + 0x5afe9bb7 DOOMx64vk.exe ** UNKNOWN **(** FUNC_PARAM_ERROR **) ... + 0x59b67891 DOOMx64vk.exe GetGameSystemInterface() ... + 0x5b2b472c DOOMx64vk.exe BaseThreadInitThunk() ... + 0xb3ae8364 KERNEL32.DLL RtlUserThreadStart() ... + 0xb40370d1 ntdll.dll Register Info --------------------------- EDI: 0x0000000007E1AC90 ESI: 0x0000000000000000 EAX: 0x000000000274DFC0 EBX: 0x00000000093B0B70 ECX: 0x00000000092FE7C0 EDX: 0x0000000000000001 EIP: 0x00007FFC95220FFF EBP: 0x00000000070963F0 SegCs: 0x0000000000000033 EFlags: 0x0000000000010202 ESP: 0x00000000070962C0 SegSs: 0x000000000000002B Exception Info --------------------------- ExpCode: 0xC0000005 (Access Violation) ExpFlags: 0 ExpAddress: 0x00007FFC95220FFF Build & Runtime Info --------------------------- User: Luca Version: 20160720-180331-purple-razzmatazz File Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DOOM Demo\DOOMx64vk.exe System Time: 2/7/2017 14:41:22 Build String: 20160720-180331-purple-razzmatazz VT File Path: VMTR Override: generated/pagefiles Launch Command: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DOOM Demo\DOOMx64vk.exe" +r_renderAPI -2 Memory Info --------------------------- In Use: 34% MB Physical RAM: 8172 MB Physical Free: 5362 MB Paging File: 11956 MB Paging Free: 7303 MB User Address: 134217728 MB User Free: 134216773 CPU Info --------------------------- Num Packages: 1 Num Cores: 4 Num Logical: 4 CPU ID: Generic CPU MHz: 2697 To sum up, the exception is "0xC0000005 (Access Violation)". Hi, I tried the DOOM Demo since someone told me about it so, I changed the settings a bit and changed the api from OpenGL to Vulkan. OpenGL lagged alot but after DOOM restarted in Vulkan, It freezes when it loads my profile and Task Manager shows it as not Responding? Does the GT 730 support Vulkan? Mine is GK208 which I think is Keplar. And if it does support it then why does DOOM freeze on Vulkan and not OpenGL?

Not sure if people are aware but if you have recent bought an RX-470 or 480 or a system with one in you may be eligible for a free game. https://www.amdrewards.com/amdrewards/ Word of warning, if you do not supply a mobile number when registering then you have to wait 24hrs before you can access your account to be able to log.

I discovered some relay weird things while playing Doom and trying out the Vulcan API... I am running a AMD R9 290 as my main GPU (my display is connected to this card and it is doing all my gaming work). But I also have a GTX 780 installed in my PC, because i am using it for folding at home. Now to the issue i am having: Running Doom in OpenGL Mode gives me this reading in game: seems normal and also the MSI afterburner usage Graphs are normal GPU1 is the 290 GPU2 is the 780 Now lets switch to Vulcan. Note: No other changes made. Display still connected to the AMD card. Only change: switched the game to Vulcan (sorry steam screenshots do not work in vulkan) Now its is showing my GPU to be the 780...? Although its not connected to the monitor Also afterburner proves the 780 being the card computing the game: Does anyone have any input or ideas on this? Or know how tho switch back to my 290? I cant believe this is even working.... but for me it looks like the 780 is processing the game and the video somehow gets pushed through the 290 to my monitor... Thanks in advice for any help

Hey there, folks. So I've finished my second fully-fledged boss battle in SnapMap, which I just published last night. So far, no one has checked it out in Review Queue and I was hoping you folks could tell me if I wasted the ~40 hours or so this took to build. Here's a rundown of how the fight works. You have one life. There are no health pickups, but your armor regenerates over time. Unlimited ammo. The boss is a Baron of Hell. "Void Pillars," or simply pillars with an electric effect on them, randomly spawn around the room and despawn every ten seconds. So, every 10 seconds a wave will spawn, despawn at 9.9 seconds, then on the 10th second a new wave of pillars will spawn. As the fight progresses, more pillars spawn with each wave. Standing near one will cause you to take mild ticking damage. If you get caught inside one as it spawns, you'll probably die. There are three different adds that spawn periodically throughout the fight, the Herald of Tenebris (Cacodemon), Shadow of Tenebris (Spectre), and Sloth of the Voidwalker (Mancubus). The Herald will darken your vision to near-nil and cause you to lose 1 hp every 5.5 seconds until it is killed. The Shadow will set your armor cap to a max of 30 armor, down from 75 armor, until it is killed. The Sloth will reduce your movement speed by 30% until it is killed. When the boss reaches 10%, he heals back up to full and then teleports you within a cage of green lightning (phase 2), which restricts your play area to around 2/3 of what it was before. Also, when he hits 10% you are healed back up to full. This is the only instance of health gain for you in the entire fight. Sixty seconds after the second phase 2 begins, you are teleported into an even tinier cage of lightning than before within Hell (phase 3; final phase). Walking through the cages of lightning deals significant damage. With each phase, your armor regeneration gets faster as well so you aren't just outright murdered. The final phase gives you 30 armor per second in order to support the extremely reduced play area. If anyone wants to check it out themselves, just search for Voidwalker or Voidwalker Tenebris and you should be able to find it. Enough ranting though, here's the boss fight itself:

Whenever i try to launch doom (2016) i get a bsod error saying "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE" and it says what caused it was "atikmpag.sys". I've looked around and the usual culprit is out of date graphics drivers but mines are up to date (17.1.1 on RX 460). What else could be the issue?

So i haven't played any PC shooters games since the 1st Crysis debuted in 2007, COD 2, and my all time favorite Enemy Territory Quake Wars and decided to relive my DOOM days [which was originally on the PS1]. I may be getting old because the speed at which the online multiplayer plays is so freaking fast I cant even see crap before I die. Are all multiplayer games this fast today? I know my gaming rig is not the problem 6700K GTX1080 and all. I was thinking to move on the Battlefield 1.

what is a cpu upgrade from i5 6600k (4.2 ghz 24/7) + gtx 1070 and predator x34? I play doom,bf1,need for speed hot persuite,2 shift unleashed, dirt 3,project cars (cpu demanding game) bioshock infinite, borderlands the pre sequel and a few other games. Is the i7 7700k the only real upgrade unless i play cpu demanding games and can afford a i7 6800k or 8 core ryzen. I have heard and seen an i7 can have higher minimum fps (from alle the 100 of video's i have seen the last days) and that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands can max out a i5 6600k at 4.5ghz with a gtx 1070 (indicates some games gets cpu limied with a 15 6600k at 4ghz). How about heat,i know from some reviews a experience that a i7 can get alot hotter than a i5 because of ht and i do want my noctua nh-d15 to be silent non audible or should i get a cpu cooler like the thermalright true spirit 140 power? My case is a fratcal define r5.

I can't record it well with any software other than my elgato hd 60. I can't benchmark it and it won't work with any other outside application. I can only record it poorly with open gl enabled using an rx480 xfx black edition. The game file is also huge and I'm assuming it's because of the huge maps.
