"I will preface this post by saying that I have just lost my whole dogechain.info wallet balance, so naturally I have scoured the web and Reddit for answers. Searching for 'hacked,' 'stolen,' or the like will bring up posts with the exact same thing happening. Random unauthorised transactions with no notification that they had occurred. Some of these transactions have actually been made to the same wallet. This is a serious issue which everyone needs to be made more aware of. Everyone has different preferences on who to buy from/which wallet to use etc, and some people call each other stupid for using dogechain.info, for example. If we could have some proper talks about this topic it would be brilliant. It's been a horrible experience for those affected." - above is a Reddit post which was just deleted by r/dogecoin mods. FYI: it's Rap Escape. I know.

Hello, I am trying to set up dogecoin core but syncing was taking a long time. I found that I could use a bootstrap and was instructed to move the downloaded block and chain state files into the equivalent area in the dogecoin core files. I heard I needed a bootstrap.dat file? This was not included in the download. Please help, I have tried everything I can think of. Thanks in advance.

Summary Elon Musk, Tesla, and SpaceX are being sued for $258 billion for supposedly running a pyramid scheme through the Dogecoin cryptocurrency. The lawsuit has been filed by Keith Johnson, who claims that Musk, SpaceX and Tesla were involved in a racketeering scheme that manipulated the price of the Dogecoin, and promote the coin as a legitimate investment. "Defendants falsely and deceptively claim that Dogecoin is a legitimate investment when it has no value at all," the lawsuit reads. Notably, Johnson is going for class-action status on the suit and has intended to represent other investors who also believe that they have been illegally impacted by Musk. Johnson is seeking $86 billion in damages, paired with triple damages of $172 billion, equating to $258 billion. Furthermore, Johnson has requested that Musk and his two companies be prevented from promoting Dogecoin in any way. Quotes My thoughts I find this claim an interesting one because Dogecoin was introduced mainly as a joke and as a meme coin. Also, it should be noted that Musk isn't the only one who's been charged with fraud involving crypto. John McAfee was also charged with fraud involving multiple cryptocurrencies including Dogecoin. Regardless, I think calling this racketeering or a pyramid scheme is quite the far cry from reality. Lastly, the 258 billion dollar figure is astronomically insane. link to the contest: https://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/7kvpy7/video_contest_18_million_doge_to_celebrate_2018/ so basically the guys over on the dogecoin reddit page are organising a contest celebrating that the year 2018 will be the year of the dog To enter the contest you have to create a short and fun video regarding dogecoin and that's it the craziest part is that right now, 18.000.000 dogecoins are worth about $144.000 also, today dogecoin has reached an all time high of $0.008768 P.S.: I am making this topic just to get more people to participate. i am not affiliated in any shape or form with the guys over there and I gain nothing from making this topic, i just wanna make more people aware of this contest and if this violates the rules i'm sorry and i will support all the consequences

So, I've come into a bit of money through a home sale and I want to keep some relative worth of my gains. I was thinking of buying $10,000 to $20,000 worth of crytocurrency. I was curious as to the legal wranglings of doing this within the US. I understand that the government looks upon it as any other investment and currencies as "stocks", for a simplistic definition. I'm just wondering what moving such quantities of cryptocurrencies will cause given the Patriot Act. Has anyone purchased such large quantities and can anyone enlighten me about the perils and pitfalls of such a venture. Thanks

I am currently setting up a botnet / beowulf cluster computer with tons of free computers (all awful and old) and going to mine virtual currencies with it such as bitcoin, litecoin, dogecoin, etc. I have a little experience in doing such things but it would be nice to have suggestions for the botnet / cluster computer.

So, I got an idea a couple of days ago and I've been doing some research, the thing that I plan on doing is: make 2-3 mining PCs, and let them do their work. This is the thing that I am interested in. Mining uses GPU power and all you need for a mining PC is a good GPU. Is it a good idea to like, get a couple of HD 6870s and put them in rigs that have a Celeron, a gig of ram and an 80 gig hard drive, while having a motherboard with PCI-e gen 3, because mining, as I said uses the GPU, right? I shouldn't need a better CPU for that.

Ok, I'm right now mining, with my fan set to 97%.... Is it ok for my graphics card to run at 100% ALOT? iT IS running in the mid 60's of celcius like this.. Will my card break? I have 2 fans in the front, 1 included 120mm fan, and a 140mm rosewill fan, at the top of the case, a 120mm cheap masscool fan.. the included rear fan.. In a Corsair Spec-03 case. The graphics card is a XFX R7 265 2gb.. It has a smallish cooler and a single fan. Will my card break? Or does load not matter and its all temperature that matters? Yes, I'm mining dogecoin.

I used to DOGE mine quite a bit a year or so ago. I actually made about 10$. I was wondering if anyone knew of any DOGE pools that are still operational.

Hai, i'm trying to mine Dogecoin with CGMiner 3.7.4, and i've tried conf and BAT, but neither work, and conf says Fatal JSON error ,or just doesn't work at all. I'm using a gigabyte R9 270 and Windows 8.1 Pro. This is what's in my conf file. { "pools" : [ { "url" : "stratum+tcp://asia.dogepool.net:2222", "user" : "feedonswords.1", "pass" : "x" } ], "api-listen" : true, "intensity" : "19", "vectors" : "1", "worksize" : "256", "kernel" : "scrypt", "auto-fan" : true, "temp-cutoff" : "85", "temp-overheat" : "75", "temp-target" : "70", "expiry" : "10", "gpu-dyninterval" : "7", "log" : "5", "queue" : "0", "retry-pause" : "5", "scan-time" : "5", "scrypt" : true, "temp-hysteresis" : "3", "shares" : "0", "shaders" : "1792", "thread-concurrency" : "16000", "gpu-thread" : "1", "gpu-engine" : "1125", "sharethreads" : "32", "lookup-gap" : "2", "gpu-powertune" : "20", "gpu-memclock" : "1500" } Thanks

Just started mining dogecoins simply because my computer is basically always on so i know i'm not mining much since my 660ti only puts out 300kh/s but what are dogecoins worth and would it be better to mine something else?

Hello! I am a new miner, and I wondered if there where a program that runs in the background of windows all the time. You can then set up a time where it starts your miner and then a couple hours later shut i down. This would be really nice to have because I do not have enough time in the morning to shut it down myself. For example just a simple .bat file or something like that? Thanks in advance! -Zullard

So, I have this mining rig planned out (http://pcpartpicker.com/user/T3hDud3/saved/3VdQ), and I was wondering if LiteCoin or Dogecoin would make more money.

So I looked a bit into the world of WATCH_DOGS>>>> thru other people's eyes. What I saw the last day, and this day about the Watch Dog(e)s, you know what I'm doing here right? Was just a diassapointing and unfinished product. What I expected from a company that had a good reputation and still has it, is, a more polished product. As the Ubisoft staff said themselves: "We are postponing this game because whenever we looked we all saw the same thing (unfinished product) so we want to improve the game" And when they said that, I really, really, and once again, REALLY, believed them. It was just a beLIEf. So this is a post that shows everything that is wrong with AAA industry, or so they call it, and the game that i'm mentioning here. Sorry Ubisoft, you dissapointed me. Now what i'm going to say about this game is all TRUTH, and this isn't supposed to be BULL****ing by some 12 year old, many people that read this will either agree or say that this has already been posted (i hate that). Firstly: The Unoptimization of the game The game Isn't optimized, actually, not in any way possible. The thing that they called polishing is probably making Aiden's shoe shinier. NO ONE CARES FOR THAT. WE WANT PERFORMANCE. I wanted to buy an AMD R9 265 OC Edition to play every game, and when the mighty WATCH_DOGS>>>> came out i had to change ALL MY COMPUTER BUILDING PLANS (please note ,that, that will be my first build) So lets first say that Jason Evan Gelho did a benchmark on this game on Forbes.com, and it will blow your Brains and Balls equally strong. http://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonevangelho/2014/05/26/watch-dogs-pc-benchmark-results-multiple-amd-and-nvidia-cards-tested/ So if you go and view that, you'll first see that there isn't barely any difference between R9 280X and R9 290X, and that CROSSFIRE/SLI scaling is none, I kinda expected this with AMD cards, but since they worked with NVIDIA, why? Second: Weird Graphics Options Suprise, huh? No, not in any way, the lowest AO option (MHBAO which is a console half resolution AO) compares and looks better than HBAO+ (imo). HBAO+ High just makes everything a lot more darker, but MHBAO removes that darkness, but still EMBOSSES lots of elements ingame to make it look realistic. So also there is almost no difference between FXAA and 2xMSAA. Yep, And in every option there is no difference between ULTRA and HIGH but it degrades performance alot! Third: Graphics don't look amazing in any way On full ultra you can see things Pop in into the distance? What, we're in 2002 here? Decreasing texture quality actually can remove full polygons and most of the times you can see jaggies everywhere, and i don't need to say that foliage looks like a chewed then puked green sh!T. Fourth: No Multiple GPU's Scaling Fifth: Stuck with NVIDIA! It's really complicated for ME to explain it, but someone already posted it on the forums. And here's the link: http://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonevangelho/2014/05/26/why-watch-dogs-is-bad-news-for-amd-users-and-potentially-the-entire-pc-gaming-ecosystem/ Sixth: Stuck with UPLAY! We have right to use anything we want.. To play games with any software on any platform? Throw that out of the window and add UPLAY, you're forced to have it, just because Ubisoft wants you because it's their software. So why should it be yours? Many people won't give two fuc.. I meant firetrucks about this, but seriously? AND THE FINAL THING THAT MADE US BELIEVE THAT WATCH DOGS WILL BE ONE OF A KIND TITLE (story wise and component wise it is, this isn't COD ffs) THE TITLE THAT WOULD THROW ALL THESE BAD THINGS OUT OF THE WINDOW, WAS BULLSHIT MARKETING... Compare the 2012 trailer with the 2014 trailer, and you will see a huge degradation in quality over the past years. Isn't the title needing to be IMPROVED by how the time goes forward? FK THAT, UBISOFT MUST DO IT THE OTHER WAY. Top to the Bottom. So if you preordered, you got a half finished product that was even up to this day, even if it was delayed, rushed to market, and even with delaying, it wasn't optimized, and when you preorder, you support the developer for doing the same thing over and over again. So never preorder, and never buy the game as soon as it comes out! You people, just got trolled! Got something that bothered you in the post? You agree with something from here? Lemme know BY WANTING THE GAME TOO MUCH, YOU SUPPORT THE DEVELOPER, AND RUIN THE AAA INDUSTRY, WANT THEM TO GIVE YOU A UNFINISHED PRODUCT, LETS SHOW THEM, THAT, WE DON'T WANT THAT. WE WANT TO BE HAPPY ABOUT OUR GAMES!
