  1. Budget (including currency): N/A Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Media streaming, file hosting, Minecraft Server Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hardware: Dell r900 16 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E7330 @ 2.40GHz (4 Sockets), 128gb of RAM Built in iPERC 6 Raid controller x2 2tb SAS SSDs 2.5" (only work with raid controller) x2 2tb SAS HDDs 2.5" (only work with raid controller) 10gb TP-Link TX401 pcie NIC 1tb Crucial SSD 240gb SanDisk SSD 10Gtek PCIe SATA Card 4 Port usb 3.0 pcie card (probably will remove) Corsair CX-450M PSU (Using PSU to power SSDs and pcie cards as server doesnt have extra power plugs. I have a 1000w PSU on stand by if GPU needs more power) Palit GeForce RTX 4060 Dual (this is the GPU I want to get as it's a x8 slot card and I want the server lid to be able to close so a x8 to x16 adapter will not work) I have this server and I want to turn it into a media hosting server as well as maybe consolidate a few single use systems I have into VMs on the server as well. I currently have a single computer NAS running TrueNAS which currently stores my personal media as well as my media for video editing and photography. The other computer is just running a minecraft server on ubuntu. So if I could not only consolidate those two PC into this server but also add a GPU so I can stream my video catalog (maybe 1440p60fps and possibly 4k60fps in the future) throughout my devices in my home (I'm guessing this is where Plex or Jellyfin would come in). My GPU choices are limited due to the x8 slot situation I mentioned in the hardware specs. From what I understand I will use a OS like Proxmox to run my VMs (NAS, MinecraftServer, Media hosting for streaming). I'm fairly new to Proxmox but I've been playing around with it but if anyone is a Proxmox Pro please dont hesitate to add your 2cents! In my research I've also see that docker would be ideal to tie these things together? I'm not sure but I know if I have to use docker then TrueNAS isn't compatible or so my research has proven. And don't get me started on using raid controllers with NAS software. I get places that say you shouldn't and some say that you can now and that information is outdated. So I'm also trying to figure out how to incorporate using the SAS drives up front. So to wrap is all up how would you configure the setup? Am I on the right trail to meet my end goal? Is proxmox what yall would use? Is Docker an important role to make this work? Is TrueNAS gonna work w/ Docker if I need Docker and if not what NAS OS should I use? Is Plex or Jellyfin the way to go? Do plex and jellyfin run on their own VMs or do they run as containers (this part I'm still learning in Proxmox)? Will the built in raid controller virtual drives created from the sas drives work with not only a NAS software but work within proxmox as a VM?
  2. Hi all, I've got some devices on my LAN that I have blocked access to the Internet, but would like to let them send emails via Gmail (or another email service) I've spent hours faffing with Postfix and EXIM4, but have not managed to get anything working. I got closest with EXIM4, but it was complaining as it was unable to resolve my domain name. ( - I do have a domain, but I do not want to have to expose my server to the internet directly for this purpose and it's already being served by a mail server) I am looking for a solution that will: Receive emails from my LAN devices Send them to my public/internet email address via Gmail SMTP Run via Docker if possible Am I looking for something impossible? Thanks in advance!
  3. I've got a little home server here (Intel i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz w/ 16 gigs of ram) connected via ethernet to a Synology DS420+. When I first set this thing up, I tried the linux route, but I just couldn't get things working. However, I'm getting sick of windows on this machine and I'm struggling having hardlinks work. (I'm using Radarr/Sonarr). What distro do you suggest I get to run docker and have Plex w/ my rr suite of apps? (I've got a few users experiencing issues with buffering/loading that never used to happen. I'm also planning on doing some upgrades to the server, if I can (as I now have 2.5gB fibre and the machine only has a 1g ethernet port). When I built this, plex didn't use graphics cards for hardware transcode acceleration. Is it worth grabbing one now?)
  4. I am currently using a 2 Bay Synology DS718+ but it's really struggling. It's running 32 docker containers and they are not performant or even really stable... The containers include but are not limited to Nextcloud, Synapse, AdGuard, Grafana, Torrent (for my Linux ISOs) and a few webservers I would like to install Jellyfin and use it as a media streaming server as well, but it can't handle that currently. So I got myself a new used Supermicro tower server off ebay for 200€ and I am planning to install TrueNAS Scale on it and migrate the files and containers: Mainboard: Supermicro X9DRW-IF CPU: 2 x Intel Xeon 2680 V2 RAM: 16 x 16 GB DDR3 1333 MHz ECC PSU: 500 W (Bronze) I have a few hard- and software questions regarding the above hardware and use case. 1) Is it worth going for SSD storage or should I stick to HDDs? 2) The hardware is used; should I replace the PSU with a newer and better rated one? 3) How should I manage my containers and TrueNAS? Do I... A) Install TrueNAS on baremetal and install an Ubuntu VM for docker? B) Install TrueNAS on baremetal and use a Jail? C) Run TrueNAS and an Ubuntu install in separate VMs? D) Anything else I didn't consider but also makes sense...
  5. I'm trying to set up vaultwarden in my raspberry pi 4 but I run in some issues with nginx. This is my setup so far. I have docker running on my raspberry pi with vaultwarden on and nginx both seem to be working so far because I can acces them local with the right port. Also I've created a DDNS on Duck DNS. Everything I did was according to those guides (https://www.wundertech.net/how-to-setup-duckdns-on-a-raspberry-pi/, https://www.wundertech.net/nginx-proxy-manager-raspberry-pi-install-instructions/, https://www.wundertech.net/how-to-self-host-bitwarden-on-a-raspberry-pi/). I also forwarded Port 80 and 443 in my router to my pi. Port 80 and 443 are also open in ufw. The config in nginx looks like this (I replaced the domain name): Now when I enter the Duck DNS domain name in my browser I get a 504 gateway timeout, but when I enter the current IP that is displayed on the Duck DNS site I get this: I'm not quite sure what this means or where I did go wrong. I'm newbie to this field and would apreciate some help to improve I've also added the logs from my docker containers if that helps. Please let me know if you need more information. _vaultwarden_logs.txt _portainer_logs.txt _nginx_db_1_logs.txt _nginx_app_1_logs.txt
  6. I will be monitoring this thread to the best of my ability and any guidance or help is greatly appreciated. So after a period, I am reaching out to the community. We had severe weather a few weeks ago and I shut my server down as usual but when I brought it back up all of my websites were down. I create A records in Cloudflare and Nginx for all my applications I access on other devices like Overseer, Portainer, and Nginx. These domains all worked with no issues prior to the shutdown and bringing them back up they stopped working. I checked the server and nothing appeared to change when the system came back. Since coming back I have only gotten Cloudflare Error 522. I am having difficulty digesting and determining the issue and route cause. Initially, I thought it was an SSL authentication issue between Cloudflare and Nginx but again nothing there changed. Just a quick disclaimer, none of these sites are working. I had a total of 6 of them so I don't believe it is as simple as a specific setting for a docker container necessarily. Cloudflare: A record for Nginx.example.com with my local IP, this record is proxied. Force HTTPS enabled SSL/TLS encryption mode is set to Full (tried Full (strict) and didn't work either with any testing) API token for all zones created for Nginx SSL Cert. I do not have the pro-plan so I cannot simply input a ticket for help from Cloudflare. Nginx: Source: domain created in Cloudflare. Destination: At this moment it is set to https://127.0.0.1:81 or https://localhost:81 Side note, this is something I am on, I have watched many videos and am unable to determine which IP is used, I have watched some use their LAN or the systems' IP, some use the IP used to connect locally, and a few other variations. This is the IP Nginx uses to connect to SSL Cert: I used a wildcard cert (*.example.com) pointed this at Cloudflare and provided the API token from Cloudflare. I used the curl command to confirm this cert is valid and working. Portainer: version 2.18.2 At this moment using nginx image: jc21/nginx-proxy-manager:latest. Published ports 80:80, 81:81, 443:443 in a container and forwarded on ISP Router. I have tried numerous things, I started from scratch on the image, I tried defining my domain under the network section, and published ports, we have been trying the same with Overseer to try and get anything to work and even disabling all SSL to the best of our ability and trying to make an unsecured connection to the webpage has not worked, continues to give the 522 error. Questionable items: When researching and gathering information I noticed services like Overseer running on IP 10.0.0.208:Portnumber whereas Nginx is running on 127.0.0.1, I have not dictated the IPs for these containers and in Portainer I do not have them part of a specified network right now. When going through the port forwarding setup on my ISP router I found that it reserved an IP and in my app, it shows my server IP as 10.0.0.208 but nowhere else does this show or reflect and the connected gig ethernet NIC has the IP of 192.168.x.x Hardware: Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS i3-9100F, AMD Radeon rx 560, 16GB RAM, RealTek Gig/Ethernet NIC, 40TB.
  7. Like the title says, I really need help adding my drive to nextcloud. Right now, nextcloud and docker defaulted into my boot drive "C:" never really had an option to choose. Edit: I've read that the best option is to just do a fresh install of nextcloud and specify the path of my storage drive upon installing, BUT, I reviewed the installation process and I really can't see how I can specify it in the installation process. The problem is that it's only 200gb. I need it to be in my HDD which is in a Raid 5 with 4TB available storage. My problem is, I've read a ton of documentation but I could not find exact instructions on how to add/mount my hard drive. Sorry for being a complete noob, this is my first time setting up a home server and I'm already at a place where I dont wanna spend time moving my data back and forth since it takes 24 hours to move them if I want to install another OS instead. If anyone can help me with step by step details please. I've read literally a ton of instructions but there's always been a catch.
  8. Hello everyone This is my first time building a homeserver. I'm building a server with i9900k and Asus z390-f motherboard(bought them second hand for 250$).corsaircx600 600w 80+ bronze PSU. This Nas is mainly for family use. We already have 1TB of memories(picture and videos). And I want stability and redundancy more than speed. Have decided to go with TrueNas scale as I want to run Minecraft server(also I'm more used to Debian). And maybe some apps in docker. My problems are: 1. I don't know which HDDs to buy.(was gonna go with 2 ironwolf 8TB) but it doesn't sound right. 2. Should I go for a second hand case for this? And what should I be looking for. 3. Also just want to make sure if going TrueNas scale is a good choice? Also is there anything I should keep in mind building the server? I would appreciate getting some advice...
  9. Hello LTT Forum, I'm very new to Unraid and most of the concepts that come with it. I've mostly been able to get things going myself with the help of Google and YouTube but am running into issues finding easy to digest information on this particular topic. Please keep in mind I'm still very ignorant to a lot of networking concepts and terminology. I've setup Nextcloud to be accessible outside my LAN with a custom domain and everything is working great. I want to limit the upload bandwidth that the Nextcloud docker has access to though, so any time someone downloads a large file I've shared it doesn't just wreck my internet. My understanding is I can do this with a static docker IP and "simple queues" in Mikrotik RouterOS. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I already have Nextcloud running on a custom docker net but have not assigned a static ip yet. Is there anything I should keep in mind when assigning one? Can it be literally anything? Are there any extra steps I need to take in Unraid to make it visible to Mikrotik router? More importantly I need someone familiar with Mikrotik to explain simple queues to me and how I would then use it to set an upload limit on the static IP assigned to Nextcloud. All the information on Router OS seems to expect you to already have advanced level network administration knowledge and I'm just starting out. I disabled the fasttrtack rule and currently have a simple queue for the IP of the Unraid server that seems to be working. As stated earlier though I'd like to be able to setup queues for individual dockers on the server. Appreciate any help!
  10. Hello everyone, Ive run into an issue not being able to backup the Config-Files of my pawelmalak/flame Container, since the path I configured a while back seems to be empty: noah@flamedashboard:~$ ls /vw-data noah@flamedashboard:~$ ls -a /vw-data . .. I have not noticed this for Months, since I was able to configure the Dashboard via the Webinterface, with the Changes being persistent between Reboots of the Host and stopping of the Container. Updating the Container resulted in it being reset to the default Config, so I just restored a Snapshot for now, thats also when I noticed that something was wrong. 11. Hello, im new to Unraid (recently coming from Truenas) I understsnd most functions of a server and can easily follow guides. But I having multiple failures with dockers such as Nexcloud/Mairadb, Tailscale, DelugeVPN. In all cases the docker web GUI does not respond even on local network) My main objective is to achieve remote access to the server GUI and Nextcloud (or any cloud) I followed the following guides and everything worked perfectly except it won't open in browser: Priority #1 Tailgate: Guide Alternative to Tailscale: DelugeVPN: Guide (this is not necessary if I can get Tailgate to work) Would very much so appriciate some guidence. Tailscale version: 1.42.0 Linux Unraid - 6.12.0 Ping fail from PC (on same network to Tailscale IP) Can Ping from server to Tailsclale IP
  12. So I've been following along with Spaceinvader One's "How to Install Big Sur and Other macOS Versions with New Macinabox" video. He's telling me to run the user script that installs the VM. When I do this, I get this message in a pop-up: Script location: /tmp/user.scripts/tmpScripts/1_macinabox_helper/script Note that closing this window will abort the execution of this script Starting to Fix XML error: failed to get domain 'macinabox' No network adapters in xml to change. Network adapter is already virtio Added custom qemu:args for macOS topolgy line left as is custom ovmf added error: Failed to define domain from /tmp/macinaboxfixed.xml error: (domain_definition):3: Extra content at the end of the document ^ This is what has been done to the xml Your network type was already correct. Network has not been changed. The custom qemu:args have been added to you xml. VM is set to use custom ovmf files. xml is now fixed. Now goto your vm tab and run the VM Rerun this script if you make any other changes to the macOS VM using the Unraid VM manger What have I done wrong? There's no VM in the tab. Is there a better place to put this post?
  13. Hello there, So I'm building a kind of Home Lab / NAS for my family and I, which will be responsible for storing our files (Photos and Documents), but also needs to host a good bunch of services at the same time (Jellyfin, Caddy, Sonarr, some websites, etc.) I was, for testing purposes, running Proxmox with one VM for Truenas and passing the hard drive as a virtual disk from proxmox, and some other VM's and Containers for the other services. Is this a good approach or should I put Truenas barebone and run VM's inside Truenas for the rest? The final setup will be composed of 2 WD Red 4TB drives + 1 Generic 500 GB SSD (I don't know which one or what brand it is).
  14. Friends, This is the 1st time I am setting up a dedicated server at my home using RPi 4 (with Static IP). I am also installing Docker to host and manage few sites and WordPress installations. (mostly my previous works as demo which are no longer available in live sites) I have a little doubt regarding Docker and MySQL, how to setup? I do not want that every container uses its own MySQL instance which will take up too much memory and space of my RPi 4. I want to run single common MySQL instance. Option 1: Run MySQL as a dedicated Docker Container? But, I might need MySQL access from outside Docker, like some Linux scripts, some database mirroring etc. Option 2: Install and run MySQL as local (traditional Linux installation) Will it be easy to access this MySQL by the Docker Containers? Pls suggest.
  15. Hello everybody, I got a Wireguard Server set up on my local Docker host. I also got a NAS in the same home Network. The VPN Connection works fine as far as Internet access is concerned. This applies to both my Windows Laptop and Android Phone. However I cannot access my NAS from the Laptop, although it works via the Android Phone. I also can't "see" any of the other Devices in my Home Network via the VPN as I want to. Do I have to set up some extra Settings for tunnelling and accessing into my Home Network directly? Wireguard output if that helps: Cheers
  16. Hey LTT, I have working ubuntu 20.10 server on my raspberry pi 4 (4gb ram). I tried to setup docker container with lancache, but container is in restarting loop and doesnt work. Can someone help me to fix that? I am noob in using docker and ubuntu, so let me know what should I post.
  17. Hello LTT forum, I have been trying to setup lancache on raspberry pi 4 (4gb model). I have working system with ubuntu 20.10 desktop version. I tried to install lancache by following tutorial on youtube from battle(non)sense But I am having a problem, with running it inside docker. When I do command sudo docker stats it shows 0% at services and it just disappears. Can someone help me with correcting my setup?
  18. I made a series of posts like this on the actual TrueNAS forums a few times, with the proper logs and configs attached, and got ignored. Quite honestly their forum is not a community which is not friendly to beginners and I've had better luck here. TrueNAS Scale includes a tab in the web GUI labeled "apps" which utilizes kubernetes and dockers to install and run various things like Plex, piehole, and whatever dicker image you please. I added the TrueCharts catalog and was unable to deploy an app so I sought out help from the TrueCharts discord. For some reason any time I tried to deploy any app I had RPC errors spat back out at me and it failed but after some troubleshooting with them it was determined that I had to set an interface and gateway IP under the "advanced settings" menu which was effectively sitting those options for kubernetes. Despite nobody else with a similar networking setup to me needing to do this it was necessary for me and got things to work for a while but after a day I decided to deploy thisthis docker image only to have it fail. I assumed that I just didn't know enough about doctor so I spent about a week doing various troubleshooting, watching tutorials, and reading of documentation only to discover that I was getting the same RPC errors again. This time no amount of fidgeting with network settings got it to work and I had to go into the shell and run a docker pull command in order to get the image locally and then deploy it to get around the issue. All that said while trying to get the storage settings for the MineOS dockerhub image the statisfactory image just stoped deploying properly after a reboot and keeps trying to pull it's docked image from the TrueCharts catalog despite having it stored locally. I have absolutely no god damn idea what's happening and I've thrown my hands up and decided to purge and reinstall TrueNAS Scale in hopes that it somehow works this time around, I've even gone as far as a burn a DVD instead of using the USB drive in case that magically gets me a different result as I had problems writing the image to a flash drive for my first install. My question is does anybody have the slightest idea as to what was going wrong and does anybody have any advice for this new installation to prevent this from happening if something like this can be caused by user error? I apologize for not having errors and logs on me for this post I was far to frustrated with this whole thing to pull all the logs but if it happens to me again I'll be sure to add them in a reply.
  19. # Current setup I've been running Proxmox for the last year and a quarter, with the following VMs and containers: - Ubuntu Server (docker containers) - Pihole (DNS & DHCP) - Home Assistant - Motioneye - CheckMK - Windows 10 (for fiddling with random stuff, mostly switched off) The docker containers were: - Plex - various discord bots and other coding projects - Elasticsearch - Kibana - MakeMKV - Handbrake I have a USB blu-ray drive that I pass-through to the MakeMKV docker container. I have a GPU that I pass through to the Plex docker container for hardware transcoding. # The Problems I've had issues running pihole for DHCP so am going to move that to a separate machine. Essentially if the server went offline I couldn't access it to bring it back online over the Proxmox network interface. Local DNS will be sufficient for me so long as my router allows me to assign static IPs, which my current one does. Nesting my Docker containers within Ubuntu is unnecessarily complicating some of my processes, I'd rather be able to run them natively from within the hypervisor. Sharing storage and getting proper backups has been problematic. My server crashed recently and while my Proxmox backups to a raspberry pi meant I could bring my VMs and containers back up, a lot of additional reconfiguration was required, especially where my single drive zfs storage was concerned. This has been such a big problem that I've taken a copy of all my important files (including plex media) on my windows pc in case I lost access to the zfs drive in my server. # Moving Forward I've bought a second identical drive to my main 6TB storage drive, so that I can have a raid setup meaning if one drive dies the data is safe on the other. This means the server will have an SSD for booting and a pair of 6TB HDDs in raid for storing plex media etc and to act as a NAS. I'm looking at a variety of other OSs that I can replace Proxmox with and so far TrueNas Scale seems promising as it works with Plex, supports docker containers natively and allows virtual machines too. It's still in beta though, so I'd have to have a really good backup system. Any advice you can provide for an alternative OS would be great. In terms of backups, I'm keen to still do nightly backups of my config, containers and VMs. I'd also like to get some kind of raid setup (maybe using zfs?) to ensure if a drive dies there's still another working one. On top of this, while I do use Dropbox for documents on my pc and laptop, I don't have a cloud backup setup just yet for my server. I've had a brief look at backblaze but for my 6TB drive it'd be hundreds of dollars per year, which is a tough pill to swallow. I'm also planning to set up a remote backup at a family member's house using a raspberry pi and an external USB HDD. Any advice or suggestions would be very gratefully received, if I'm rebuilding the whole setup I'd like to do it right if I can, and I'm really keen to avoid any potential data loss after the recent scare.
  20. Hey guys, I wanted to ask for some advice for a capstone project I have in which I want to build a server that can run multiple VMs and Docker Containers for applications. I wanted to know what kind of CPU I should go for that can have the capabilities for these requirements. Since I'm on a tight budget, I'm going to use the spare parts I have: M.2 Gen 3x2 256GB with Read speeds 1000MB/s and Write speeds 800MB/s 8GB (2x4) 2666MHz RAM (Non ECC) I know that the Non ECC will cause more corruption but I just need the RAM for this project. I'll get the PSU, Motherboard and Case but I wanted to get an idea for a CPU that can run what I require of the FreeNAS server (TrueNAS). I was thinking a Ryzen 3 3200G which I found for $140 CAD since it has an integrated GPU. I know of the short comings of the Ryzen series in a NAS server (can't use ECC RAM and capabilities limited) but due to the requirements of VMs as well as running apps on the Docker container, I think it will be ok. If a cheap Intel CPU can run the server just fine, I'll probably pick that up but I don't know about it's iGPU if it will run well under that load. I'm open to any suggestions.
  21. Hello guys! So I want to host HRConvert2 on my openmediavault using Docker and Portainer. However, I'm receiving an error. I did not setup any firewall to block port 53:53/tcp and 53:53/udp on my openmediavault. I successfully installed FileRun, a self-hosted File Manager. I also tried to install pihole or adgaurdhome, which uses port 53, received an error regarding port 53. I've also checked the resolv.conf of the openmediavault, the "Cache" and "DNSStubListener" was set to "yes". [Resolve] #DNS= #FallbackDNS= #Domains= #LLMNR=yes #MulticastDNS=yes #DNSSEC=allow-downgrade #DNSOverTLS=no #Cache=yes #DNSStubListener=yes #ReadEtcHosts=yes I already rebooted the system, it did not solve the port 53 error.
  22. Hey guys! Yesterday, I finished my little project and I should I would share it here. I always wanted to have a 24/7 running server for Valheim, since I want me and my friends to be able to build, hunt, collect whenever we want to in between killing bosses and sailing the world. Since letting any PC run for 24/7 sucks a lot of energy and renting an external server goes against my codex of being a cheap-ass, I've been trying to get it running on an RPI4. I've tried it months ago with TwisterOS but failed hilariously. Recently, I installed RPI-OS64, tried it again and it freaking worked! So I thought I'd build a container and share it, since I couldn't find a Valheim-ARM64 Container on Docker Hub and I feel damn cool to be the first to push one! https://hub.docker.com/r/arokan/raspiheim For this, I used box86 to run the steamcmd and box64 to run the server. It was a little tricky and it shows error after error, but I have not seen any short-comings yet. You'll need a Raspberry Pi 4 with >=4GB RAM, since Valheim already uses two of them, and a 64-bit OS installed. If anyone gets it working on an RPI3, let me know! Overclocking to 2Ghz is as far as I can judge not necessary -> 30-40% CPU-usage at 2Ghz. For best practice, here are some tips for yet inexperienced users: - Get a dynamic DNS from https://www.noip.com/ in order for your server to be always available. Tell your router or your pi to update your IP frequently. Further guides are easily available everywhere. - Assign a static network-IP to your pi and enable port-forwarding with port 2456/udp to that IP. - When installing Docker, use the official Documentation. I failed to install docker correctly using external guides and it hasn't been fun fixing it. Don't be scared, it's mostly copy&paste. - Use a strong password or even the permitted-list. That's basically it. I really hope you have fun hosting your own Valheim Server on your little Raspberry Pi! P.S.: If 10-15 people request a complete guide, I will make one.
  23. I have setup LanCache on a Ubuntu 20.04 system following the documentation on their website and a YouTube tutorial from BattleNonSense. I can see the docker of lancace_monolithic_1 and lancache_dns_1 running with "sudo docker stats". I set a static IP, outside of my routers DHCP range, on the Ubuntu system and set this IP as the DNS in Windows. The .env and docker-compose.yml files are configured to this settings. See below for my config files and screenshots of the IP and DNS settings. ipconfig /flushdns nslookup steam.cache.lancache.net nslookup lancache.steamcontent.com After i tried this in Windows, it still returned Steam's IPs not 192.168.178.10 from the Ubuntu system. I set the DNS in my router before, It didn't change anything and I prefer to set it in Windows. Do i have to do anything related to the ports in my system? I had synergy installed, to share mouse and keyboard, but removed it incase it messed with the network or ports for LanCache. I beleive synergy also uses port 443. Here is the content of my .env file: And my docker-compose.yml
  24. Hello, After using for a long time personal nextcloud on VM, I am about to install more pro-oriented solution for work on aws. So I stand betwwen to solution: docker or snap installation. After reading a bit about theses 2 I do not fully understand the difference between theses 2, pros and cons (like transfering the installation to another instance, etc.) I will be happy to have some clarifications. Kind regards.
  25. Ok what is the deal with stacking and how to do it. So does stacking just put all the docker-compose files in 1 file. Yes I understand docker-compose and stacking are pretty much the same. I want to set I my container in a stack with full control by portainer. I use an App template and set up and deploy the container. But why can't I then add that container to a stack. I want to back up the stack file so I can redeploy whenever I need to.
