Is the HP EliteDisplay E27q G4 worth it for 205$ brand new? I would mainly use it for light photo editing and basic office stuff.

Back in December I decided to go and buy myself an early christmas present. I had been eying the Alienware 34dwfOLED for awhile and noticed it was on sale. Sweet! I put my order in and waited patiently. About a week later it gets delivered to my door in my apartment complex and I open it up to find that it is full of bags of rocks. I immediately take pictures and get into contact with Dell customer service. They said they'll look into it and get back to me the next day. Two days pass. I contact them again. They state that the package was "carrier certifed" and I cant recieve a refund or replacement because the package was signed for. I told them I did not sign for the package. They told me they would get back to me shortly. Three days passed. I have to initate contact AGAIN. They repeate the same garbage as last time while wasting 3hrs of my time in call center/let me transfer you to someone who can help hell. Dell is now ghosting me. They refuse to respond to any of my emails regarding my issue and continually leave me on hold for 30+mintues until I hang up. 0/10. I will never buy anything from dell ever again.

Hey, so I have a bit of an interesting situation here: I've got a quadruple monitor setup but I have three that are together at one desk and a separate monitor at a different desk for productivity. I'm wondering if there's some type of display switcher that I can use to completely disable the other three monitors and have the fourth be the only active output. As of right now the only way I could do that would be to unplug the other three monitors every time I use the other one which is obviously pretty inconvenient and annoying to do each time, let alone a little janky. Turning off the other three monitors doesn't actually remove them as outputs so that isn't a solution either. If there's anything out there that exists like that or some way I could set this up please let me know. I'm pretty tech-savvy so if there's a DIY solution someone can think of I'd be willing to try that as well. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you!

My work laptop is an ASUS VivoBook Laptop X513EA-K513EA while my personal laptop that I use for light gaming is an MSI GF63-Thin 11SC. As seen on the pictures below, the display of the ASUS is more "cool" to my eyes than the MSI. Are these caused by the displays or by the GPU? Can I swap these displays directly or will the colors be the same even if I swap them? From panelook.com, the MSI(Chi Mei N156HCA-EAB) and the ASUS (Panda LM156LF5L04) both have 30-pin connectors.

Hi all, I'm trying to help a friend plan a work-from-home setup and was wondering if anyone had a lead on a floor monitor stand. They have some mobility issues which make it most comfortable for them to work from bed, so I'm looking for something that can sit on the floor next to them. Ideally, the stand would be for two displays, and if it had adjustable arms for maximum comfort that would be a huge plus. Something like this one is similar to what I'm looking for, but obviously the cheaper the better (and as I mentioned before, adjustable arms would be a big help). Does anyone know where I could find something like this? I'm located in Canada if that helps narrow things down. Thanks in advance for any help!

I have the RX 6700 XT paired with a 24" 1080p, 144Hz Freesync Premium monitor (TN panel, SDR) that I purchased in 2017. With my budget of $250 (and under) I'm wondering if I should upgrade to: 1) A newer 24" 1080p, 165Hz IPS or VA monitor 2) A 27" 1440p, 144Hz IPS or VA monitor 3) Forget upgrading altogether and keep Old Faithful Note that both (1) and (2) comes with Freesync Premium and HDR technologies. I should also mention that I have no problem maintaining 144 FPS while gaming. What advice would you give and why?

1st monitor - 1440p 32in 144hz 2nd monitor - 23in 1080p 60hz I just bought my second monitor, as streaming without one is not great, so I bought a crappy one for cheap on craigslist, its fine, nothing special. When I open streamlabs and start playing games, my game looks weirdly not smooth, I have msi's monitoring and saw both times my fps is locked at 144fps. But still with the same fps, the game is signifiantly less smooth. This also happens while streaming on discord. Before I had this monitor no problems, game was smooth while streaming in discord or on twitch? when I turn of preview of my stream it helps (some of the time) even though as I said through all three instances the fps is the same, any help? I play mostly R6 Siege

I got a 1440p@144hz monitor. I use displayport to drive it. I also got a bunch of other devices that have HDMI that i like to view on the same screen. I have a KVM Switch for that but its HDMI, when i use it i switch the display input to HDMI and work from there. I want to use the HDMI switch to switch Displayport, to avoid buying a second switch. Its a HDMI 2.0 switch (4K@60hz) so 18 Gbps and 1440p@144hz is 12.7 Gbps. So it wil work fine... Right? [UPDATE] Didnt work It says its a HDMI signal. Max framerate is 70hz

Not sure if this is the right place to post but, I have an old VGA monitor that I'm trying to use as a second display (as extended display) for a relatively new laptop via an HDMI to VGA adapter. Initially it would display the second desktop shifted to one side then after talking to Microsoft and messing around with resolution and scaling in Windows the best I could get it to display was a desktop that is cut off around the edges and does not show the task bar. Just to see what would happen I changed the orientation to landscape flipped in the settings and it displays everything correctly! But then goes back to being cut off when going back to normal landscape. Why is this happening?? Has anyone else had this happen??? Is there a way to make it show the full desktop in normal orientation? (I have updated the drivers as part of the troubleshooting process and there is no overscan option on the monitor )

Alrighty.... So here's the deal. I've had a 3 monitor setup for a while now. I also have a nice little racing sim setup that I can throw onto the desk for some fun. It's not the main focus of my setup, but it's a darn fun part of it. I used to have 3 crappy 60hz monitors, then I got a certain 144hz monitor for the middle and loved it. Because of picky OCD reasons, and the old monitors were REALLY old... I ended up getting the same 144hz monitor all around for the 3 monitor setup. (It's overkill blah blah blah, I'm well aware). However, it had occurred to me that "Hey, I can run a few sim racing games at over 144fps across 3 screens with Nvidia surround! That'll be cool!" So that was something I was looking forward to. Long story short: I didn't do very much thinking about this. My RTX 2070 SUPER has 2x DP, 2x HDMI, and 1x USB-C outputs. This means that that one of the monitors on my setup have to run at HDMI. When I initially setup Nvidia surround, I was looking forward to the 144hz option, but it wasn't available. It's also worth noting that my HDMI output is fully capable of running 144hz independently. When I run the monitors outside of surround, they all run at 144hz. However, they can't do it in surround. I've spoken with people on reddit, as well as Nvidia support, and it's been said to me that it's because the DP and HDMI connections have different "timings". I was told to attempt overriding that in the Nvidia control panel and to give them common timing settings when configuring custom resolutions, which I did but I was never successful. Sometimes I see the "144" option, but it will flicker and default to 60hz instead. This isn't the end of the world, I'm just being nit-picky. Basically, I was just wondering if there was any way I can solve this. I saw that there are things I could install into a different PCIE slot with DP outputs, but that won't work with Nvidia surround, right? Since it wouldn't be coming from the GPU? Is the only way to fix this to get a GPU with 3x DP outputs? I just hope that this is possible without having to get a new GPU. Any help or advice is welcome and appreciated. I've come to terms with the fact that this isn't possible, so no stress. Just throwing this out here in hopes for something. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks to anyone who even reads this, Kontrol,

So I ordered a screen for my google pixel 3a on ebay. The screen on the left is the "new" screen but there is a small piece missing (probably cut out). The screen on the right is the original screen I removed but with the small piece included. As you can see, I circled the piece with red circles on each screen. I don't know the purpose of this small piece but I assume it has to do with grounding due to the fact after I had connected the screen to my phone for testing, it worked with no issues. If anyone can help me understand the purpose of this small component, please let me know. Thank you.

Hey all I'm still new here and first time posting I had a off brand monitor that was working fine for the past two years but now it keeps acting up. So I figured I'd get some opinions here about some good 2560x1440p 144hz monitors for around $320 U.S. Dollars or less and would appreciate the suggestions. Feel free to add pro's and cons of the suggestion if you'd like. Thanks for the help all.

I've been using this monitor for around a year now, and I haven't had any previous problems, but for some reason while watching video content - netflix, LTT videos, etc, I'm noticing these strange rings and blobs in the brightest areas of the screen, and it appears to only be happening when I watch videos and play games. I attached a pic of what I'm talking about, and the settings I currently have on for the picture, and its the same settings I've used since unboxing. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? I'm running a Lenovo gaming laptop with a external monitor as an extension. I use different wallpapers for each display. Sometimes when I put the laptop to sleep (closing the lid), and when it wakes back up my Display 1's wallpaper is stretched over to Display 2. How can I keep Windows from resetting my wallpapers like this? Any help is greatly appreciated and I'll be happy to provide any more information needed to help me resolve this issue.

I got an LG 32QN600 display, 1440p, 75hz, Freesync. When I plugged it in it would only display 60hz and Freesync was off. When I turned Freesync on, the refresh went to 75hz, but the res went down to 1080p, and I can't find any way to display 1440 with 75hz. Is this just a design flaw, or could there be a way to achieve that? Thank you!

Hello! I was wondering if it is possible to play in one screen while working on another display at the same time? I tried by putting the game in borderless mode but each time I open the browser in the other screen the game even thought it does not close it stops responding and it does not follow the game pad inputs until I click it in the taskbar again. So I was wondering if there is a way that I can play a game and play it while another person is working in the other screen without stoping the game? I have the two displays connected to the same gpu, one with a hdmi cable which is the TV and the other with a display port cable which is the monitor.

Hi there, * So I am trying to get 3140x1440@100hz with my Acer Predator x34a (an older model capped at 100hz). * My OS is Windows and my GPU is a AMD R9 280 with latest drivers (older card). * The ports on my GPU are the following: HDMI, 2xMini-DisplayPort. * The monitor is correctly OC'ed and I am familiar with changing monitor frequency within Windows; hence I firmly believe it to be a hardware/cable issue. * I have used the monitor before at 100hz with Displayport and my older nvidia cards: RTX 2070 & GTX 970. Currently: With my probably outdated MiniDisplayport to Displayport cable I am able to run at 60hz. With both my newly bought (supposedly) 2.1 HDMI and older HDMI cable I am capped at 50hz. Any idea what I could try, or what is certain not to work?

So over the weekend I've updated my NVIDIA drivers to 471.68 and all of a sudden my main G-SYNC screen started to experience random flickering when starting certain programs/apps, almost as if its turning off and on again but sound continues as normal and there is no disconnect sound and the menu on the monitor itself also disappears completely when the flickering happens if its open. My second 144hz monitor (1080p Non G-Sync) that I've got connected doesn't appear to be having any issues either and continues as usual. I've also played multiple games over the weekend and week without issue (Horizon Zero Dawn, Cyberpunk, Guild Wars 2). It happened once on a Sunday morning when opening VLC but thought not much of it since i just updated it, and it only happened once and then it was fine, but Tuesday morning it started happening when opening Chrome and abit more extreme (Video included) I thought i'd try something within the monitor menu: Turned Adaptive Sync off in the monitor menu, flickering when opening Chrome went away. Turned Adaptive Sync back on in the monitor menu, flicking when opening Chrome continued. Repeated Twice, same results. Switched Display ports of both monitors. Rebooted the PC with Adaptive Sync on, still flickering when opening Chrome. Turned Adaptive Sync back off, flicking when opening Chrome went away. Turned Adaptive Sync back on and rebooted and the flickering was gone. (And left it on) I thought it was a bad driver since turning off Adaptive Sync seemed to fix it so i ran DDU and rolled back to 471.41 and since then no issues until about an hour ago when it started happening again when opening VLC pretty much the exact same as the video. Repeated the steps with the monitor menu but this time with VLC and without rebooting, Chrome seemed to be fine this time (I turned off Hardware acceleration in Chrome after it happend the first time, thought it migth've been related) It seems to be happening quite randomly, first time was just 5 minutes after startup and today it was after about 6 hours use. Been using the screen roughly 12 hours each day since it happened the first time for work and both gaming without issue, and G-SYNC is only enabled for fullscreen in NVIDIA control panel. Could this be a Cable issue prehaps? i just found out i've been using a DP1.2 cable while the 1.4 mode was on in the monitor for about a year since i've had it. Im assuming its either the Cable or the Monitor itself and not the GPU since the other screen is working perfectly fine sound keeps working from the main screen and there is no disconnect. Windows 10 Pro Main Monitor: 1440p 144hz, LG 27GL83A-B UltraGear (DP) Second Monitor: 1080p 144hz, Acer KG271Abmidpx (DP) Intel Core i9-10900K Asus ROG STRIX Z490-E Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (4x8) DDR4-3200 ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3090 OC Corsair RMi 1000 W 80+ Gold Any advice would be greatly appreciated gjxMvkH.mp4 Spikes seem to be inline with the usual app/hardware accel launching

Hello. Recently I bought an LG 27GL63T-B HDR10 display to my Lenovo Legion Y520 laptop. I know it might sound silly, but I planned on using it in my future setup and to use it with my ps4. At first everything worked well, I could extend my displays and everything, but I decided to turn on HDR (bad idea). After turning it on my 2nd display went black (LG one) and my laptop display started changing resolutions and doing weird things, so I unplugged my 2nd display. Later I got out of the situation by pressing widows key + p. When I checked the settings HDR was off for 2nd display, but when I tried to extend or display only on the 2nd display, situation was happening once again (screen went black and my laptop screen started doing weird things). Worth mentioning I can duplicate display from laptop with no problems and I am using HDMI as my laptop doesn't have DP input.
