Hey all, I recently built a new PC and upgraded to Windows 11. I have 2 displays connected to my GPU (RTX 4070 TI SUPER) and I am constantly encountering this issue where I keep hearing connected disconnected sounds from PC. After checking all the USB ports, I found out that the issue was actually with HDMI. I have tried another cable but the same issue occurs. Basically the connection/disconnection keep happening randomly and the whole PC stutters/lags for a second or two. One of my displays is connected via Displayport to a G9 Odyssey running at 5120x1440 at 240Hz and the other display is an LG C1 OLED running at 4k 120Hz. I usually use one or the other exclusively and not both at the same time. This issue occurs only when I am running on the monitor and the HDMI is connected(doesn't matter the TV is on Standby or not but it usually it is on Standby). I have searched and tried many solutions but to no avail. To solve this issue I plug out my HDMI when using my PC monitor. When using my TV display as my only screen, this issue also doesn't occur. Only when HDMI is plugged in and I am only using my Monitor. Any suggestions or ideas what could be the issue? My PC specs: CPU: 7800X3D MOBO: ASROCK X670E STEEL LEGEND GPU: RTX 4070 TI SUPER

Hi all, I'm really lost for ideas to test at this point. Any ideas would be amazing! Overview: Using latest Asus strix laptop (2023, I9 / 4080) as a desktop replacement. The system is set up connected to external Samsung ody8 4k monitor + all peripherals (KB/Mouse/Mic/Headset). The system is set up in performance and or turbo mode, and always plugged into power. **The laptop is configured to only show monitor 2 (external screen). have not changed and or modified any color management programs native to the laptop or Asus issued apps. Issue: randomly the color or visuals on the external monitor go vivid and warm tones are exaggerated. When i grab a test window and drag it to the laptop screen it refreshed the window only* (blinks once) and the color on said window is normal tone again. and vice versa. Temporary fix sometimes: I noticed when i do a clean reinstall of the latest Nvidia drivers, this can sometimes fix this issues for a while. sometimes like today it does nothing but waste time. I've Tried: new HDMI cables, different monitor ports, restarts, driver reinstalls, checked all color management app or locations in widows. I'm really lost to why this happens, I'm sure its a driver issue. but where is it going wrong. and why is a temporary clean install fixing it? I feel like there's a color profile changing somewhere but i cannot seem to find a clear path to or if that location exists. Please tell me I'm not alone here haha. Cheers Daniel.

Hello I have a N100 Mini-pc that I would like to have running in a remote location. Is miracast 2 the best way to connect it wirelessly to my main monitor? Is there other alternatives or free ones?

I have done some research but can’t find a real definitive answer. Here is my question I’m needing a new Monitor for a system I’m finishing building. That Will be used For mainly gaming/streaming/3d editing ryzen 9 7900x, 4090 is it better to have a lower resolution like 1440 (240)hz or a 4k (60) lower Hz I have a few monitors in mind and not wanting to spend a ton of money at the moment 300-500 (want to get it running)

Im looking to get a 240hz monitor and was hoping for help and suggestions. Im looking for a 1440p, 240hz monitor with very good colour accuracy as I will be using it for light editing work and gaming, Doesn't require HDR and the editing is nothing fancy just short form videos mostly so doesn't need pro specs by any means. my budget is around 500 obviously id prefer to keep it cheaper if possible but willing to go up to 1k. Im based in Ireland if that helps at all for getting an idea for pricing. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this I'm new to the forum. Thank you for the help.

I won't lie, I love my Apple Studio Display, it's the best peripheral investment I've made even beating out my Logitech MX Master and Mechanical for Mac series peripherals. Impeccable visual fidelity Built in charging via USB C Built in speakers that sound really good (relative to monitor and laptop speakers) Built in camera and mic that just work While not a specification item, I truly do love that its made of glass and metal on the exterior for the most part giving it an incredibly durable look and feel But as much as I love it, I can't help but think Apple could've changed a few annoyances and made it truly the best display on the market (not best bang for buck, just best in general for the general consumer market). Removable power plug, like really, I shouldn't need a special tool to remove it Better quality camera, there should be plenty of space for it Increased compatibility with Windows (a lot of us Apple users still use Windows, I personally keep an Intel MacBook Pro around just for Windows and playing games, even when the Intel Mac was my main machine I still duel booted it so I could play the occasional PC only game) 60Hz refresh rate for the price feels a bit low, like make it 120Hz I honestly feel if Apple were to make these adjustments in an Apple Studio Display 2 they could have potentially the best consumer computer display, especially when it comes to being a simple two cable plug and play operation.

These 2-3 lines (horizontal, single pixel thick) have appeared in the bottom of my gaming monitor (AOC 24G2SP 24″ FHD IPS Panel 165Hz). The picture has been linked at the bottom of this post. They appear to be as green / blue, however, the color changes depending on what color the rest of the screen is. The lines completely disappear when the display is all white. I have checked all the cables, my GPU, and any other software related concern. The issue still remains. What could this indicate guys? Monitor was bought in May 2023. It's still under warranty, however I have lost warrany information due to moving places, and I live in a country where AOC does not have any "official" resellers, I got this through a relative coming back from the USA. I recently got my PC it's been a month now, and I randomly got screen tearing one-day mid-game, and has been going on ever since, I've deleted the drivers and installed old/new ones I've taken out the GPU which is a (rtx 4070) reinstalled it, I've reset the pc , it goes away for a brief seconds but seems always to come back . I thought it was my monitor but I plugged in my PS5 setup monitor and then the problem still happened so I knew it was not a display port or HDMI issue. I've been stuck on console playing, The same monitor screen tearing I plugged into my PS5 and they work perfectly fine . I would love some help before I have to call NZXT to return my purchase

I have been having this weird artifact after i transitioned from an HDD to SSD by using DiskGenius. Did my Windows get corrupted? I'd really hate to reinstall windows. here's the recording. I suspect my GPU, but I can't really tell anything. https://youtu.be/HYoXPys875M it affects my wallpaper only, but it's a nuisance.

My grandfathers PC has been working just fine with this monitor for months. One day it flickers, and finally goes to simply stating “no hdmi input”. Monitor works just fine with other computers, even with the same cable. The computer works brilliantly with other monitors, including my personal Dell. For some reason his computer and his monitor simply refused to talk to each other. So finally we decide screw it, let’s buy him a new one. A Dell S2721HN. Same problem. Scans for signal, then says no hdmi signal from device. I’ve done driver updates and reset the PC’s Bios, all the windows updates, swapped cables, ports, the whole 9 yards. Still no dice. Short of buying him a new computer, what might I be able to do to get this thing working?

Howdy! I've recently bought my forever home and I want to make my living room desktop setup as clean as possible. The main thing I want to do is put my PC in the cellar, and just have a desk with display, mouse and keyboard in the living room. (maybe cellar isn't the right word, it's more like a completly underground floor, including a garage) There's plenty of space, it's dry, it's cool, it's the perfect place for computer equipment. I've seen the devices on the Chinese wholesale websites, HDMI over ethernet and such, but those devices only support a refresh rate of only 60hz at 1080p or 30hz for 4k. I would like a device that let's me plug in HDMI/DisplayPort on the PC side and on the monitor side, and connect the two with ethernet or whatever cable it requires. I recall Linus having a 'remote' setup like this, it's there a list of devices involved?

I have given away my old Dell U2414H. Need a replacement display for use strictly in portrait mode. I game only on my 27" 1440p 165Hz Gsync display 24" 1080p, flat, good for text, not glossy. Preferably better refresh rate or even Gsync compatible (idk if this will even matter) Which should I get? Dell P2419H, 60Hz, $111 Dell S2421HS, 75Hz, $140 MSI Pro MP242P, 75Hz, $140 LG 24MR400, 100Hz, with replacement adjustable stand, $140 LG 24GN65R, 144Hz Gsync compatible, $165 Some of them have Freesync. Not mentioning because staying with Nvidia and only the Ultragear (24GN65) is confirmed to be Gsync compatible If you have knowledge/experience with any of the models mentioned, do let me know. I am in South East Asia.

Hello, just a simple question: I‘ve found this trick to fix the washed out colors in SDR when HDR is enabled , i guess…. https://github.com/dylanraga/win11hdr-srgb-to-gamma2.2-icm?tab=readme-ov-file So when i understood this right, SDR content will look good on an HDR monitor? So how can i select the SDR-fix color profile when i disable in window HDR and a standart profile when HDR is enabled? Make that any sense? Is is possible to cange the color profile with windows task scheduler or a batch file? Thanks for your help!

I am trying to configure my desktop to run Sunshine stream server so I can play games on my TV. I got it all working for the most parts. The last remaining issue I am trying to figure out is how to get the EDID dummy display to not be included with the other monitors in the Windows desktop. I had seen a number of posts on YouTube and on various forums that show in Windows 11 there is supposed to be an option called "Remove display from desktop" under the advanced settings of the display properties. When I go to the display properties on my machine for any of the monitors that option doesn't exist, It's just flat out gone. As I started looking for answers I was wondering if this was a feature that was disabled or removed in my version of Windows 11. My desktop is running release 23H2. As a comparison I checked my work computer which is running 22H2. Low and behold the option is present in the advanced display settings. So, now it begs the question, what is going on here? Does anyone know how I can get that feature back on my desktop? Is there any 3rd party software that can replace what appears to have been removed? Perhaps an options deep inside of windows that can do this like a PowerShell module or a registry key?

So basically I enabled secure boot in my BIOS saved and exited. I then proceeded to wait for my pc to boot up 1 minute goes by 5 minutes go by and 10 and so on. I went and checked it restarting it and it still wouldn’t boot up to bios or windows even tho the pc turns on and everything lights up fine. I took out the CMOS battery and shorted the CLR_CMOS pins like many suggested online yet it still wouldn’t boot up to windows or BIOS. My monitor and HDMI cable work fine when I tested them with my console. I don’t know what to try next I also tried booting up with no gpu or without the CMOS battery but nothing worked and now it still turns on but doesn’t boot anything. The fans also speed up and slow down in a loop if that is a giveaway for any problem. If anyone knows the problem or solution I would be more than grateful to try out ur ideas!

My dad and I detached the tv from the wall to move it close to my pc and use it as a main monitor(small tv, not like those box tvs but like something 10+ years ago). When I plug it into my pc though the screen is a little shaky like from left to right. The colors are mostly correct but some flickering in some small spots. Gpu: RTX 3050 Connection: Hdmi to Vga with a vga cable going to the tv TV: Old TLC 1080p tv UPDATE: Buying a regular hdmi cable fixed it. Moral of the story: Have cables

For the last week or so I have seen this odd black rectangle (solid black rectangle below black checkered pattern) pop up and disappear while playing full screen video over Netflix or Youtube, etc (see attached photo). It's only happened a handful of times and always while in full screen. However, today it happened while watching a LTT video, not in full screen. It only stays on screen for a second, and I was not able to screenshot but did my best to recreate its appearance in the attached photo (bottom left corner). The fact that it covered the Youtube HUD elements instead of just the video is new and got me a bit worried. It is not always in the corner of the screen and has shown up in a different spot every time. I'll be trying different connection methods, but the artifact is infrequent and intermittent so will not notice improvement immediately. Will update if problem persists. This is a sfx PC connected to Vizio tv via display port adapter and hdmi cable. Really, just curious if this looks familiar to anybody else. My apologies if this has already been discussed somewhere. Hi, hoping someone has some insight here- the display is a Dell G2724D. When HDR is turned on, the text/iconography on the screen looks great- properly scaled, free of artifacting etc. But when HDR is disabled the image looks oversharpened/aliased, with kind of outlines around text and pixellated icons. Any ideas as to what could be happening? Some games have poor HDR implementation with vulkan so I'd like to be able to disable it to play them without sacrificing all the image quality :')

My Dell 7020 died, so I bought a Dell 9020 (second-hand, obviously). I work with three monitors. The first, I connected VGA to VGA, no problem. The second, Display port to VGA via an adapter. No problem. The third monitor is connected display port to diplay port, and the computer fails to recognise it. Any ideas?

On my Xbox series x there’s tiny red does but only seems to be in some or the colors on screen but not all (as you can see if the video with how it’s only some colors) tried different cables and TVs and monitors and can’t go up to 144p I’d I do just gets no signal on monitor 1080p 120hz and 60hz works but still with the red dots so at this point where don’t know if it’s worth sending it in or just getting another hdmi port swap would fix it or the gpu is going out on it what I read some people where saying but i don’t know if after the swap the dots would still be there just figured I’d post to see what people say before doing anything filtered-99120D1B-F6F6-4F1E-93FF-3359152FC7ED.mp4

I have an Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 which has a 1080p 144hz display. I am seeing flickering which looks like the screen is broken when it is on 144hz and when I switch it to 60hz the screen flickers significantly less but not like before it goes dim and it just flickers normally I can see the whole screen now. I have tried removing my Nvidia drivers and AMD drivers and reinstalling both of them but nothing worked. But the Microsoft generic display driver didn't have any problem but obviously, I cannot use that. So, 144hz = Looks like Broken Screen and 60hz little flickering (sometimes none) I have recorded a video and attached it, please look at it. You won't see 60hz flickering maybe because the recording was in 30fps, but it is there. VID_20230604_105945 (1).mp4

Greetings LTT Community, Before anything else, I don't really know where to put this topic, so I decided to post it here since it involves an "issue" to my laptop's LCD monitor. So there is literally a horizontal line across my laptop's screen that is somekind of dirt, and I know it isn't a scratch because the mark fades when I clean it but reappears once again. I have tried cleaning my screen with microfiber cloth along with an LCD Screen Cleaner, alcohol, wet wipes, and I even put a considerable amount of force when cleaning it, and I even used my nails that is covered with a cloth to try and remove it but to no avail. I think this mark came from the design of the laptop's keyboard which has a somewhat 'crease' or a slight 'elavation' I can't really describe but I tried to take a photo of it. A reasonable answer/solution is very much appreciated because this has been triggering my OCD for the last couple of months. Attached below are the dirt from my laptop's screen and the "elevation" near the laptop's keyboard that I was talking about.
