So recently I’ve had this issue where my main monitor starts to flicker when playing full screen games over 60fps. The main scenario when the problem happens is when I’m using some program/app that runs video like a web browser on YouTube or twitch, or Streamlabs transmitting my gameplay. The problem goes away when I disconnect my second monitor from the gpu, when I set my games to lock to 60fps, when there is no app/program running some sort of video on my secondary screen (note that it can run videos while minimized with no problem), when I set my game to windowed full screen. Already tried updating drivers, using different DisplayPort cables, switching cables to different ports, rollback drivers, resetting NVIDIA control panels, double checking that the main monitor is set to primary and that the hz are set to the correct value PC Specs RTX 4070 Intel Core i7-12700k 32 GB Ram Motherboard Asus Tuf Z-690 plus Monitors Main Monitor ASUS Rog Swift 360hz 1080p Secondary Monitor Scepter 70hz 4k I have some videos demonstrating the flickering, can’t add due to max total size

I recently purchased a second hand pc. Everything about it is great, except the display cuts out randomly. The only way to fix it is a reboot. This will happen randomly- while I’m browsing, playing a game, or anything else. This issue doesn’t seem to be related to how hard the gpu is being pushed. I noticed that when I tap the cable going from the psu to the gpu, it causes the issue almost without fail. This pc has a 3070 which is supposed to have at least 650W psu but this pc has only 600W. I tried an older card and had no issues. I was wondering if the connector on my gpu is broken or if maybe it could just be a psu issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I just built my rig. I am new to all of this. This is my parts list: ASUS Prime Z390-P LGA 1151, Intel Core i5-8400, 2xCrucial RAM 16GB DDR4 2666 MHz CL19, 1xSabrent 256GB ROCKET NVMe PCIe M.2 2280, 1xEVGA Supernova 1600 G+, 80+ Gold 1600W PSU and Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler. Everything was put together and booted up on the first try. My CPU has a IGPU, the UHD 630, and that's what I am using to get my display from. I then started to add the GPU's one by one.(each time I added a GPU I turned off the system first) Yes they are on risers. Doing it one by one I was able to get 4xGPU's on risers to work without any trouble, the whole time my display coming from the CPU IGPU. When I go to add the fifth GPU, the screen goes all fuzzy gray except for a couple of slits of proper display where I can see that it has booted up in the bios. If I try to connect my display to one of the GPU's that was connected prior to the fifth one being added I do not get any video. Since the screen goes fuzzy gray when it's connected to the IGPU, I cannot tell why it has loaded into the bios. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first time so I did not change any of the bios settings before installing anything and I didn't do anything to Windows either except for the basic things like not needing a password and not going to sleep etc. All of my GPU's are Nvidia and range from a 1070 TI, 20's series and 30's series. Thanks for all the help in advance! Edit: This was solved!

Morning! Ill start by telling the issue followed by the spec: Installed my new GPU from a 5600xt to a 6700xt, bit temperamental getting it to display an image, however, after using DDU and reinstalling the drivers it seemed to work. I started by playing some games, worked fine for about an hour? then all of a sudden the screen went black, and now whenever I restart or turn on the PC it shows no image. I can hear windows booting in, making all the sounds if I mash the keyboard, but nothing displayed. GPU Fans are spinning, so I assume it's running? When I connect my 5600xt back up, everything comes back to life. I have it connected via the pigtail 2 x 8 pin connector, to: 550w corsair PSU. So I just bought this Ryzen 3200G system. However after I booted it up, the display turned on like this, I tried everything to fix it. I tried to fix it using Windows settings and AMD software settings but nothing worked. The same methods worked everywhere else though, as I saw on YouTube videos. If anyone knows how to fix this please help me.

Hi all, so I had co-built my first PC recently and everything is running normally except for one issue. When I first power-up my PC the following things happen: All the PC internal LEDs turn on, all fans spin and the display turns on (display is connected to GPU via HDMI). Then EZ-Debug light on the motherboard turns on for the GPU and the display (which is now black screen) says Nothing is detected. So what I normally do is, hold the power button for a good 5-10 seconds to shutoff the PC, then press the button again to turn it on. Now everything is normal and the monitor detects the PC. This issue happens consistently where I have to turn on the PC, shut it down, only for it to detect on the second try. If I shutdown the PC for long durations (4 hours) this problem comes up, if less than 30 mins the problem is not there. During the time that this started, the GPU drivers and BIOS were up to date (October 2020), since then I haven't downloaded the latest drivers (in fears of worsening the situation). Solutions I have tried that did not work: Reseat the GPU and RAM, Check the cable connections, Test with a different monitor via HMDI on GPU and Mobo, Went into the BIOS to see if there was anything out of the ordinary (none I could see with my inexperienced eyes), Read up on some forums, but none specifically for this issue I think? The problem is more of a quality-of-life issue since the PC runs normally, just a tedious way of opening it. Yesterday, when I was watching Youtube I noticed a vertical 1 pixel wide black line. It disappears sometimes so I'm pretty sure it isn't a screen issue. I'm using it with my laptop when I disconnect the display my laptop screen is fine. It is connected via HDMI cable and I changed the cable to see if the cable is at fault but it was not the case, the line appeared nonetheless. What do you think? How can I fix it?

I noticed one weird thing on my oneplus 7T pro device. At low or 10% to 30% brightness Lock screen background wallpaper looks weird distorted with the fingerprint security. without fingerprint enabled lock screen looks good at low brightness. My monitor, ACER XF270H B, 1920x1080 144 Htz, is not receiving a signal using a type-c to hdmi cable from my EVGA 2070 Super. The display is detected in the control panel and the monitor knows a cable has been plugged in, but it says "no signal" and goes to sleep. Monitor works fine, but only has two HDMIs and a display port, but the GPU only has one HDMI, which used for my TV. Windows 10 Cable purchased: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077VPDNL7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_.O7EFbZEZHX0Z The HDMI end feels rather warm to the touch. Changing resolution/refresh rate resulted in no changes.

I've been having an issue recently where, whilst using my computer, my displays have been blanking out and everything goes unresponsive; even the power button doesn't respond. The more I reboot the computer, the less time I have to try and diagnose the problem. I'm theorizing this is a CPU heating issue as I've tried the following: Replacing the GPU from a Club Radeon R9 390 series to a MSI GeForce GTX 1070ti Replacing the PSU and wires (the old PSU I had in my PC was a Corsair CX 500M, swapped it out with a Thermaltake ToughPower GF1 750W) Re-seating the RAM Re-pasting the CPU as the old thermal paste was starting to get a bit old Resetting the BIOS settings to defaults I'm aware that the CPU I have is notorious for being difficult to cool, which is why I am theorizing as such. I did accidentally bend a few pins at one point when re-pasting - which I did bend back into place - which could also be an issue. I'm unsure, however. What could the issue be? SPECS OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 Motherboard: ASUS 970 Pro Gaming/Aura CPU: AMD FX-3850 RAM: G-Skill Ripjaws F3-2133C10D-16GXM (×2) GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1070ti PSU: Thermaltake ToughPower GF1 750W 80+ Gold Internal Peripherals: Elgato 4K60 Pro MK.2 Capture Card I would also list my BIOS version, however I can't even access it as of writing this. Once I let the PC cool for a while, I'll get the version and add it to the thread.

So my Acer Aspire 5 A514-53G-50LY screen has finally kicked the bucket after two and a half years of use. The display itself has a 1366 x 768p resolution. I've already ordered the replacement screen with the exact same resolution. I'm contemplating whether to put a thermal pad between the display driver board and the metal frame. Because I read one of the common reasons for screen failure is overheating. This brings us to the main suspect, the laptop fan exhaust port that blows directly into the screen driver board. With a thermal pad in place, I hope I can mitigate the overheating issue, and BTW, I'm planning to use a 0,5 mm pad. That's why I'm asking if is there a certain risk involved when there's a thermal pad there. is it going to make the overheating issue worse? or is it going to fix it? or is it useless? Please help, and thank you for reading my long post.

So I've been searching Google, Bing, and LTT all morning trying to discover a solution to my problem. I'm a photographer and graphic artist. At one time I had 2 displays, a 48in and a 32in. They seemed to play nice together as they were both 1080p. One day I get the bright idea to drop a ton of money on a 48in 4K... That's when the problems started. Windows 10 (as much as I despise the new version) has one really good quality about it. That is, its ability to make multiple resolution monitors work somewhat well together by scaling the smaller resolution monitors up. HOWEVER, when I go to display settings, it shows the 48in 4K as being 4 times the size of 48in 1080p and even MORE with the "little" 32in 1080p. This causes all sorts of issues even though they are scales correctly. So, I've been searching the internet all morning for an alternative to the windows display settings. Which finally brings me to my question... Does anyone know of a program that will scale multi resolution monitors while also taking into account their relative sizes to each other? I mean, I have two 48in monitors I would hope there is a program out there that might recognize that (or ask me) and take that into account before it looks at the resolution of each. I'm running a i7 6850K @ 3.60GHz, with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (EVGA), all on a Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. X99-Phoenix SLI-CF. Attached photos are 1) Reality, 2) What Windows thinks it looks like aka print screen, 3) Display settings page. Help me LTT community your my only... nope nope nope, not going to make that reference. Let's just say, you all seem to be one of the best tech forums out there. I hope you can help me. fin.

Hi, so today when I turned my old laptop on, this appeared on the screen (attached picture). Besides this, the laptop seems to work on. It starts Windows (according to the sounds) and usual notifications etc. It is not the laptop screen issue, when I try to plug monitor or tv using one of the external ports, the same picture appears. Any ideas?

I was reading a forum post, and there was a quote from a mod quoting some guidelines, but there was no option to scroll, even highlight the text and dragging did not allow me to see the rest of the text. I tried resizing my browser to different sizes (see screenshots) I am using Safari 10.0.1 on macOS 10.12.1 Edit: I would have posted in the actual post that I could not read the quote, but it was locked.

Hello there, I am not entirely sure what this condition is called. I think its called artifacts, which happend on gpus. Its in the video. Its 2 month old system, CPU r5 2400g, MB asrock b450m pro4, RAM geil 2133 (dont know exact model), PSU gigabyte 650w. CPU temp mostly stays below 55c, using stock stealth cooler, didnt use any extra thermal paste, just what came with the cooler. I dusted off recently, in case that was the problem. But still its happening. Can anyone help me with this problem, like why its happening and/or what can I do? Thanks for reading this through and thanks again in advance for helping. video-1543939221.mp4

So my buddy bought a HP 15-f387wm 15.6 Touch laptop(https://www.amazon.com/HP-15-f387wm-Quad-Core-A8-7410-2-2GHz/dp/B01DOSSKLU) last year, and soon after he got it things happened and his screen broke, i was wondering if anyone of you know where a good spot to look for replacement laptop monitors would be, or if/how you can get a second display working when the primary display is 100% unusable. thanks for your time in advance.

Hi guys, I am having a problem with my monitor, it is HP V194. If will put my computer to sleep, it will not wake up even when I move the mouse or click the keyboard. In order to wake it up, I would have to click the reset button. However, after clicking the reset button, it will show a message " INPUT SIGNAL OUT OF RANGE! CURRENT SETTINGS: H=37.3KHz V=48GHz | CHANGE SETTINGS TO 1366 X 768 - 60GHz." But when I checked the current display setting, it had already been set to the aforementioned settings. I don't if it may help resolve the issue, here's an info: It is a new computer as well as the monitor, not even a month old, running Ryzen 3 2200G, MSI 320 something motherboard.. I am not an expert on computers. Thanks.

So I recently bought a new monitor. I have to send my original back for repair due to delamination of the screen. Anyway, the new monitor I bought, an AOC AGON AG322QCX, looks like it has an interlaced display. Kinda like on old CD games of the 90s where the video "skips" every other line. I've never had a monitor that looks like this before. It's very faint, but it looks like every other horizontal line is just slightly darker (or that there's a gap between every line.) Dark, light, dark, light, etc... and it bothers me because I end up focusing on the lines instead of the overall screen. I sit roughly 36" from the display. So I guess my question is, has anyone experienced this before? Could this be something to do with being a curved screen? Or maybe because it's a VA panel? Or that it's a larger 32" display? I've only ever had TN and IPS panels before, and nothing larger than 27", but also I've never seen anything like this before. I don't think the monitor is defective... but those lines really drive me nuts. So far I've tried: changing DisplayPorts on the monitor and the GPU using an HDMI cable instead of DP cable Nothing made a change. Any ideas or am I crazy?
