Due to my system not booting into windows one day I check Bios “standard settings / no overclocks” I am missing both of my M.2 drives . I messed around with some settings with no luck. So I ended up moving the m.2 drives to different slots “M2_3 & 4 not working . I was able to boot up into windows using m2_5. Also, all but Sata_P4 / P3 ports would not detect my ssd . I load up windows which is on my m.2 in slot 5 to find I have no WiFi only Bluetooth is working. It doesn’t even detect it in device manager. I troubleshoot this issue with no luck. It also seems to cause system lag when I have my iPhone plugged into one of the Type C ports on the rear I/O “stuttering / Freezing on the desktop now.” I ended up doing a RMA, and put my old system back in which has no issues. I moved all my drives to it and they loaded up no problem. A week later I received the board back, get it all together and BAM same issues right from boot. I assume it’s the same board I sent in and maybe no one looked at it and sent it right back. It did say on the RMA paper “Repaired” but clearly not the case… I am working on trying to get a new board sent out to me for replacement hopefully they will. Figured I would start a thread here and see if anyone else has had these problems?

My laptop has been having problems for the past 5 days. First it started with the sound output. Apparently I tried doing an update on the Realtek speaker driver, the update got denied. Sadly while doing the update it somewhat uninstalled the original driver so the laptop couldn't detect ant sound outputs nor microphone. I eventually recovered the previous update and installed it, the sound was back. However after the update, the pc messaged that Microsoft store stopped working. I opened it and it was working so I was like wtf. Few minutes later windows gave me the error screen .-. The computer restarted and after I typed the Bios password, the Asus logo popped up, then the screen just stayed on but black. It's been like that ever since. Now I took off the Bios administrative password and Factory Reset the computer (I went through a lot trust me) and now apparently the bios password is back and it's not the one I used to have. Alt + r doesn't work, tried taking off the CMOS battery (still didn't work) and now I'm here because I gave up. So if anyone knows how to fix this situation, PLEASE I'm stressed and tired. So I recently bought my first AIO cooler after wanting to know what all the fuss was about. I was previously using a cooler master hyper 212 EVO which is an AMAZING cooler but, I decided to upgrade. In doing this I purchased a Deepcool Captain 360 EX. The cooler was fantastic, for 4 f..king days then while casually playing Overwatch the tube on the block bursts shattering and spraying water everywhere! I immediately shut off the computer and tried to asses the damages I payed out the soaked components one by one. Graphics card; dead, motherboard; dead, power supply; dead, and cooler obviously dead. However, my CPU was fine as well as my RAM. I contacted deepcool customer support immediately and to give you the short version it has been 4 months since I first issued the RMA and I feel they are just stalling what should I do? I don't have the money to buy the parts myself and, I'm asking for $1500 to buy back parts and it sucks not having a computer for that long.

hey bros, i pulled out the num5 key from uncle's laptop while was using it because it was pressing itself like this 55555555555555555555555555555 and i thought that maybe it not fitted in right, when i pulled it the hooks that were holding it in postion were destroyed and now the key is not even sticking in its place, yes i thought about sticking it there and putting it where my uncle keeps his laptop but it looks like that it is not sticking at all (i want to find a way to make it stick there (it wasn't working previously so that wont matter, i don't want it to work now i just want it there) . it will be ok if its squished he wouldn't notice that because his 5 year old is like beating up the laptop all the time. So, is there a way in which i can stick it in there without any adhesive and if there isn't any then pls recommend me an adhesive that does not smell too sharp (noticeable) and please no tape.... any help would be appreciated..... thx

So..... tried ocing my pc from 4.4ghz at stock voltage to 4.7ghz. Raised voltage from 1.3 to 1.4. Everything seemed fine. Was a great day. Next morning i turned it on, went to make coffee, came back to what seemed to be a pc that powered down by itself. Got back from work and pushed the motherboard power button(hadnt conmected case power button). And nothing happened at all.... no post, no hd flash, not even a fan spin. This has happened before, so immediatelu thought it must be that cheap cx500 psu thats blew. Ao the new psu arrived today and connected everything up and still nothing.... What should i do? I'm sure as you are all aware, there are many channels currently fighting several copyright claims, up to the hundreds for some. Several Youtubers have had various update videos and rants on the current minefield Youtube has become for some. Even larger channels such as Angry Joe are fighting such claims, some of them even being bogus. How did this come about however? Well first a little bit of history: Several Youtubers have their own opinions on to how this came about ranging from companies pressuring Youtube to allow them to have more control over copyright to blaming networks. Watching many of these different videos, there's quite a bit of information to be drawn. Some people have mistaken this as an apparently "new" content identification system, this system has existed for a long time now. However there was an option to skip this content id system. Normally when you upload a video for monetization, it undergoes a content review, courtesy of their system, which can take up to days even weeks, this is bad for people wishing to make a living. Youtube however allowed these entities, MCNs or multichannel networks, to give a bargain. MCNs are just large networks on Youtube. However being a part of one offered one huge benefit: the ability to skip the monetization review. In return for being granted this ability by Youtube, copyright infringing content uploaded by their sub channels, is also the responsibility of the network, or was supposed to be. These networks began recruiting as many channels as they could. These MCNs had them sign binding contracts, for however long, asking for a cut of your revenue, 40% being the most I've heard, and in turn offered services such as promotion which they rarely actually granted, however you could skip the monetization review and immediately monetize any video you upload. Networks such as RPM and Polaris, did exactly that, recruiting hundreds of channels, taking a cut of their revenue for services they rarely offered. This is something roughly behind the scenes in Youtube that not many who just watch are aware of, but how does this affect the current situation? Recently Youtube forced MCNs to make a choice: to manage or affiliate those channels they bound by contract. Being manged means there's no change to you, you continue to evade the content id system, however becoming an affiliate carries a hefty change, you become subject to the content id system, you can no longer skip that monetization review, yet are still bound by contract for however long it lasts. Now the punishments for MCNs if a sub channel receives a copyright strike are very severe; half a dozen people can destroy an entire network and anyone managed by it. Now here's where you get the current situation. All of those channels that could previously escape the content id system, have become affiliates, are having their videos reviewed by the system, essentially thrown under the bus because these MCNs can't afford to look after the hundreds, even thousands of channels they have recruited or the consequences of those channels infringing copyright laws. Those channels who have become managed, such as TotalBiscuit, will never have to worry about these countless content id claims, the content id system ignores them, the only claims they have to worry about are claims filed by actual people, not the content id bot. Even worse so: People have even seen bogus claims by random smaller channels and even corporations that they've never even heard of; this may have become a feeding frenzy. Nintendo has allegedly been enforcing the copyright claims, there is little to no information to prove this given the current state of Youtube, however Nintendo has made a previous assault on Youtubers. Each Youtuber has their own opinion as to why Youtube has done this. Some people believe that media industries have pressured or even forced Youtube into allowing them greater control of copyright, but that doesn't quite make sense, the copyright system hasn't changed at all, people have just been subjected to it while previously evading it. Its alot harder to combat a copyright claim as a single affiliate than as a managed network, you lack power. Others believe that this was Youtube's response to MCNs recruiting people into unfair contracts, after all it's in the MCN guidelines that they should be fair and honest, which they have not. The single fact that the idea of MCNs was rarely spoken of has led to alot of misinformation about this issue. What is clear, however, is that all of this came about after the National Music Publishers Association and multichannel network Fullscreen entered a legal battle. The verge just reported this: 0 inShare Just a few weeks after the launch of iOS 7, Apple's Vice President of Engineering for iOS Henri Lamiraux has retired and left the company, 9to5 Mac reports. A quick look at his Facebook page confirms the news. Lamiraux, who joined Apple in 1990, worked closely with one-time iOS lead Scott Forstall on the original iPhone, and has his name on a number of important patents including visual voicemail. More recently, he worked under Craig Federighi, who's in charge of software more broadly at Apple. So it looks like it was an expected departure, really curious who will be the next engineer. After numerous clean installs, and boot drive failures, I've started taking some precautions to avoid losing important files and performing clean installs of the OS. Here's what I do: Sync my personal files using FreeFileSync. Create restore points periodically (once a week using Task Scheduler) and prior to installations. Clone my boot drive using Macrium Reflect once a week. I suppose you can add another step, which is uploading all that to a cloud storage but, that's a lot gigs right there. So, I'm curious as to what steps some of you take to avoid losing data? I'd like to think that these steps make my system (almost) foolproof, unless my computer dies, along with my backup drive, and the servers that hold my data fry as well, but at that point I'd worry more about who's trying to kill me.
