Parts list at the bottom. I know this doesn't sound like an error but when I turn on the PC I have a weird issues with the post LEDs. Each time I boot up the PC both the CPU and DRAM LEDs light up at the same time then the PC will boot successfully with no issues after about 1-2 minutes with no issues. Any clue what's going on here? I was trying to turn my desktop on today but I was not getting any display. I reseated every component and cleaned them too. I noticed the white vga debug light on motherboard. I thought something wrong with my GPU but when I turn on my pc the GPU works too( fans are moving too). Tried taking off the CMOS too but still did not work. I need help urgently as I work through my desktop all day.

Hi everyone. My Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 5500 GPU: Gigabyte 1050ti OC Motherboard: MSI A520M-A PRO RAM: 2x 8GB Vengance DDR4 3200Mhz PSU: Artic 750W I have attached images. I am honestly so tired of this new build now, and I’m honestly considering just getting rid of it all and forgetting about it. I did a post test before putting the motherboard into the case, as it says to do in the ‘The last PC building guide you’ll ever need’ by LTT, and it went to bios and worked as it should. I continued with the installation and when I tried turning it on inside the case the CPU debug LED on the motherboard is staying lit, I’ve tried mostly all of the troubleshooting methods, like taking the ram out, trying one stick etc, re-sitting the CPU, clearing CMOS, testing the PSU, removing the M.2, using a different graphics card. I would have thought the bios was incompatible with my processor, BUT, why on earth would it have gone to bios before and not now?! I am just so confused on what is even happening, I can’t even try updating the bios because there is no bios flash button on this motherboard, and I don’t really want to buy another CPU and be stuck with it to find out that it’s actually the motherboard that’s broken. Please someone help. Thank You.

Hi, A few nights ago I restarted my system and boom. It won't boot anymore. I looked on my motherboard and of course the stupid vga light on my motherboard was lit up. I've tried so many things to help but unfortunately nothing has really worked. I have tried the following though: • Removing and reseating the gpu •Clear the cmos •Replace the cmos battery •Make sure the cables are secure •Try different combinations of ram (basically every combination) •Reseat the cpu And of course the damn light is still on. Basically the computer just sits on a dash and then display my motherboards logo and says del for bios setup and all of that and it's not letting me in q flash the bios or anything... Hello, Unfortunately my pc won't boot into windows or actually do much. Simply the pc just refuses to let me in the bios and do basically anything and the issue is that I have a vga light on my motherboard. Basically I've tried to do the following: •Disconnect the gpu and reseat it. •Take out the cmos battery to clear the bios •Replace the cmos battery with a new 3V one •Moved the gpu to a lower pcie slot Yes not much. But what else can I do? I couldn't dare reseating the cpu as I'm actually terrified at ripping it out the socket AGAIN! Any help will be greatly appreciated! Hey, Recently got into a problem. When i restart my pc. It turns off and doesn't restart and i see the Debug LED for Cpu is on, on the motherborad. But strange thing is while the debug LED for CPU is on... i hit the Power button, the PC shuts off and When i press the power button again, PC turns on just fine... I tried solutions from online like updating the BIOS and Clearing the CMOS, No luck. It was not happening a day ago... One thing is i see a new BIOS on The motherboard website, that says support for windows 11 and etc. But that thing is beta version. So, i am not sure to update with that or not. And this problem is from windows 10.. I did a clean install for the Windows 11 but the problem still exists.. What is causing this? is it on Hardware level or software level? My specs are: Ryzen 3700x 32GB Corsair Ram 3200Mhz Rtx 3060ti MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon Max WIFI M.2 Crucial 500 GB ssd Samsung 870 EVO 500 ssd 1TB and 2TB hard disk Really confused what had gone wrong..

We are trying to install Windows from a Windows media file but as we cannot get into the BIOS this is proving difficult. Video of what happens while booting up: Vid of screen while booting - https://files.catbox.moe/nk4x5z.mp4 Vid of the debug lights while booting - https://files.catbox.moe/7p197x.mp4 What we did: CMOS reset using battery method and touching pin method with a screwdriver. Changing the slot the GPU is settled in. Tested the motherboard Debug light. The Boot debug light turns on while the computer is on. Currently the computer is setup on the mobo cardboard box and still does the same process of turning on but the Screen get's no signal and the Boot debug light remains on. Did the process in this link here to troubleshoot the parts - Breadboarding your new PC CPU - Ram - VGA/GPU - Boot - Debug light remains on instead of turning off.

As of yesterday, I went to boot on my pc and was met with the VGA EZ-debug led on my MSI b450m bazooka v2 which leaves me clueless. It first happened yesterday and I took my GTX 1660 out, made sure everything was plugged, put it back in, and a few minutes later the light just went away and I was able to proceed. Although today, In was using my computer fine until I took a break and after came to power it back on where I was met with the light once again. I did the same thing as last time (took it out, etc.) but nothing. The fans are still spinning on my card, I’m on the latest bios, and it was working fine earlier, what could the issue be?

Hiho, Pc didnt boot for months, tried everything. Replaced stuff, finally fixed it yesterday, Then left it on with windows update, went outside, came back to no picture. Restarted, boot debug led is on. Im not getting any picture, and no bios. Cpu n ram seem to try to boot. They look normal. Gpu is spinning fans. It booted yesterday. It worked for one year before my other problem. I reseated gpu and ssd, nothing. I tried unplugging ssd and start with bootable stick. No results, no signal on screen. And boot debug led. I cleared cmos. I used only one ram in dimma2, and other combinations. In my earlier problem mainboard was checked by seller, and cpu was replaced by guarantee. So im sure these are fine. Also because it booted yesterday. Very thankfull for all ideas. Hello! I changed my old system to this one in August and changed the latest part, GPU, when the 3000 series GPU released. But this problem have been since August. The PC more often then not, starts in this mode. The Debug Code LED says ''00'' and ''CPU ERROR'' as error codes. None of my peripherals starts when it is in this mode. Only way to get it to post normally is by power cycling the PSU quickly. If I don't turn it off and on again quickly enough, it gets back to the ''00'' error again. I have to do it very fast. And just pressing the power button or the reset button on the case doesn't give the same effect. If it sometimes gets the PC to restart, it only gets back to the ''00'' error again also. I updated my bios when I built the PC, but the problem was before that also. I was very afraid when updating the BIOS when I knew it might get stuck on this error. And now I don't dare to try updating it just because of this also. I have tried it with BIOS settings on default, pulling out RAM sticks, but nothing have ever fixed the problem. 1 out of 3 times it posts normally, 2 out of 3 it gets in this mode. My specs are right now is: MSI X570 MEG GODLIKE MSI RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Vengeance RGB PRO AMD Ryzen 9 3900X Corsair M.2 as boot drive Corsair RM850 PSU CPU is clocked to 1.25v and cores at: CCD0 CCD1 CCX 0 CCX1 CCX0 CCX1 4500 4475 4350 4350 I OC'ed the CPU using ClockTuner for Ryzen by 1USMUS. The CPU is between 30-40 degrees C when idle, and never over 65 degrees C when gaming. After power cycling the PSU and the PC starts normally again, it runs completely fine. Nothing that indicates a problem. Something is very weird and I don't know what to to or how to figure out what. Please someone, if you have any ideas, please tell me! Thanks! MSI Motherboard CPU debug LED giving a hint?
G9XFTW posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
My old MSI B450 motherboard crashed a few times while streaming and I noted the CPU debug led would light up. The old mobo does not work now, the pc shutsdown within seconds of booting. Now on the Tomahawk max, while playing LFD2, with AMD RYZEN balanced power plan ( I actively keep switching between them as per usage), the whole system crashed again. The audio would freeze or go out of sync and then the pc would crash and eventually reboot like normal. I could not notice quickly, but Im sure it was the CPU led which lit up again. (I sit to the right of my cabinet). Is the CPU potentially killing motherboards or what?- 12 replies

Hey guys, when playing Splitgate I sometimes get random black screens. The computer turns of completely and the red debug VGA light turns on. Everything besides XMP is running stock. I reseated the ram + the gpu but that didn't change a thing. In another game, zombie army 4 I had like 2800fps in the menu and thus the pc crashed after like 15-45 seconds on a reproducable basis. When it happens the pc shuts down with a blackscreen and boots again - At first the CPU led goes on, followed by VGA + Boot simultaneous. After that the VGA light blinks and then the boot led. I still have warranty on my card, should I replace it? System: bequiet STRAIGHT POWER 11 850W Platinum XFX 6900XT Merc black edition Ryzen 9 5900X NZXT Kraken Z73 MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge wifi Corsair Vengeance 3600 CL18 DDR4 I would be thankful for any tips. edit: I'm also using a cable mod pro kit, should I remove it? Also the VGA led is turned on while booting, normal?

I just built this computer about two weeks ago. I was hardly getting it to be able to start up properly. I loosened the CPU cooler a bit in case I maybe tightened it down too much previously. I've reset the RAM multiple times, and all of it is recognized. I was able to get a BIOS update installed and that seemed to help out a lot. But I still run into quite odd issues with the startup. What's more is that it's hardly consistent. I normally need at least 3 boots to get it to finally boot up correctly. This is the pattern. Usually the first will end with the red CPU debug being stuck. The next step will be that it will boot in safe mode, then after that's done, it'll boot to Windows but the ethernet and my keyboard will not be recognized. The last time it will boot without any issues and goes straight to Windows without an issue. Now what's interesting about the boot with the keyboard not working, is that I just tried moving it to another USB port, and it started to work. But only 2 of the 10 seem to see it when the keyboard normally won't come up. I'm a little confused why this pattern and why it's not consistent. It would be nice if it were the same issue each time, but not quite the case. Oh one thing I forgot is that anytime it boots properly, the debug light will start with VGA on, then to CPU, DRAM, and end on Boot. Not quite sure I've ever seen debug lights be cycled through like that in the past with other computers. My system's going bonkers! I've always had the issue of bumping or hitting my desk freezing my pc, and so it did the other day, though its never been a "problem". The day after I try to boot it and it gives me a short bleep and turns off. Fans are spinning, power supply is on and the motherboard lights up. Then there are the debugging LEDs... In order: CPU, DRAM, VGA and BOOT. On start it takes about half a second before it repeats this sequence, red lights: CPU On - CPU Off - DRAM On - DRAM Off - CPU On - CPU Off and then it dies. This whole process loops with about 5 seconds in between infinetly. What on earth is it trying to tell me? I tried unmiunting and mounting the ram (2 corsair 16GB) on slots 2 & 4, like it was before I took them out. I've checked if the power button is faulty, it's not. I've checked if the optical drive was misleading anything, unplugged and doesn't affect anything. I've checked all visible loose cables, secured. This is my first actual desktop and I didn't even build it myself, a friend did. Help? Hi all! This is my first post so I hope I am doing this right. I built my first PC about a week ago with all parts coming from Newegg. I built it all up with a Youtube tutorial and it worked perfectly...for 4 days. The issue was that the pc would turn on (with MOBO, GPU, fans, and RGB), but peripherals like my monitor, mouse, and keyboard stayed dormant I then went online for help and I decided to reset the CMOS and short it. It worked! For like 2 days. Then the same issue happened so, yesterday I went online again and discovered the Debug lights on the MOBO. The CPU light was on, so I decided to take every apart and refit it all back in. Surely enough, it worked and I went back to gaming ( I took it all apart again and it worked for another week). Now, this morning, The same exact this is happening (with the CPU light on again) and I am coming here because I feel like my short fixes aren't sustainable. I look at other solutions to this, but it didn't fix my pc in the long run. Here are my PC parts all about a week old (bought new on Newegg) 64bit it believe Motherboard MSI MPG Z390M Gaming Edge AC (micro ATX, LGA 1151) CPU Intel i5-9600K (LGA 1151) GPU Geforce RTX 2070 Super Cooler Noctua NH-D15 SSD Samsung EVO 970 NVMe M.2 (V-NAND SSD) RAM Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB 3000MHz Hard Drive Seagate BarraCuda ST2000DM008 2TB 7200 RPM 256MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Power Supply Corsair TX 650M 650 Watt

Hi, I got an old MSI Z270 gaming pro from a buddy. It's been dead for a while, the CPU debug led is on and there seems to be no connection to the cpu. It's as cold as when it was mounted even after the system has been on for some time. I can't get a boot or a picture (Which makes sense considering the cpu...) I found 3 bend pins when i recieved which i have tried to straighten. Spend a lot of time to perfect them and i see no flaws on any pins now. But i still can't get a boot and the debug LED is still on. Only booting with necessary components but still no luck. It's an old board so RMA is not an option. It's not crucial for me to fix it, but i find it a fun challenge. Because of that i am reaching out in here, hoping that you guys might be able to help me with any possible fixes!

Hey so my build contains: cpu: ryzen 3600 regular gpu: MSi GeForce rtx 2060 ram: 2x tforce 3000hz 8gb = 16gb total motherboard:b450 gaming plus max power: Evga 700 gold I have having the issue of when my pc turns on all my debug lights turn on. I try pressing the case power switch and nothing so I have to resort to power it off through the back of the case. From there I turn it back on and sometimes it will clear the lights then it won’t show video I tried plugging the hdmi in both the mother board and the gpu. I sent my motherboard back for a replacement and it still does the same thing. Why does it do this explain. 61100263043__1340D9F7-19D8-4DAA-8FC3-E5CD02F10629.MOV

HI Everyone, since a few days my computer doesn't run stable anymore. The problem is, that the screens randomly turn black/off. The Computer doesn't respond to any input anymore, but e.g. Music is still playing and audible. Hard resetting is the only thing working. After that the Computer is working again. This mostly happens while playing games. All temps are fine. CPU is in the low 60s and GPU in the low 50s. Because the problem occurs randomly i can't realy debug it any further. Does anyone have an idea what could cause the problem or how i can debug this ? A friend of mien suggestet it could be the power supply. The power supply is an 5 year old beQuiet 900W. The GPU is an EVGA Titan X on water And the CPU is an 4930k @ 4GHz on water. For the last year the system was running stable and smooth. So i don't think the Overclock is causing the problems.
