the build: mobo ... ROG STRIX X370-F GAMING ATX AM4 cpu ... Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core dram ... 4x TEAMGROUP T-Force Dark Z 8 GB DDR4-3200 CL16 gpu ... ASUS DUAL EVO GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB (( I only have the gpu plugged in because the cpu does not have integrated graphics )) psu ... Corsair SF750 750 W 80+ Platinum Cert Fully Modular (( My testbench gpu, if you were wondering why the atx mobo but sff psu )) Long story short I tried to move my pc into a new case and something went wrong along the way, so now it's on the testbench for troubleshooting. The DRAM LED blinks continuously when I power on and the boot sequence does not progress. I tried each of my 4 dimms, individually/one at a time, in each of the 4 slots, each time getting the same DRAM LED result. That seems weird to me... ALL of my RAM going bad at once? Or all of the slots? Somewhere in the process of moving things to the other case I DID bend a pin on the cpu and had to bend it back. So perhaps the real culprit is that the cpu can't access the RAM properly? Could someone who knows more than me tell me if that makes any sense, or what else it might be?

Hi part list - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/qdvvpH running latest bios. so brand new build, first ever pc. running fine no issues for a couple days then crashing consistently doing random task like web browsing, gaming etc. notice that red cpu light and orange ish light for ram is now flashing for a second or 2 when booting but still posting. took to repair shop they said ram was not compatible and to get it to run the lowered speeds and it was fixed for 2 days. ive since bought new ram and still experiencing the same issue. That’s even with the new bios making my old ram compatible.

LED Debug code 27. What does it mean? [We moved from one place to another. After moving trying to turn it on No display] 1. After i click the PC power up button. 2. At the 'LED Debug code' it rolls & changes till Code 27 3. Then PC auto Boots again and 'LED Debug Code' rolls till 27 4. PC gets stuck at Debug Code 27, no more auto BOOT. Some other LEDs on the MOBO ---------------------------------- There are 4 initialization LEDs [CPU, DRAM, BOOT, VGA] 5. Those 4 initialization LEDs :- It gets stuck on DRAM, (2nd Step) doesn't reach BOOT. 6. i have another PC System, checked the GPU and RAM, those are fine Btw. Can static electricity (shocks) cause any damage?

I've had my pc for a good 4+ years with almost 0 issues until recently. I woke up and tried turning my computer on but instead I get a CPU debug light on. The only modifications that I've made recently (past 6 months) was a new headset (couple of days ago) and updated my BIOS firmware (2 months ago). I fixed it initially by re-plugging in the CPU cord on the motherboard but when I turned it off again and tried turning it back on again, another CPU debug light. I tried re-plugging in the cord again and that didn't work. What steps do I try now? Hi i have a graphics card which i assumed that it is spoilt as I cant get a picture from it. The first thing i realised was that the gpu fans spin for exactly 1 seconds and stops immediately, after that no sign of picture and motherboard debug led for vga stays lit. I can confirmed that it is the card issue as i have tried all pcie slots and different card and the other card works. Just want to hear your opinions to see if the card is really broken or maybe just all the ports are fried, due to big amount of rust, before i discard the card

So I recently helped a friend move their parts into a new case, as well as add new RAM, PSU, AIO and fans. The system turns on, lights up, fans spin and the monitor reacts and we were able to get it to boot to the bios, however the VGA ez debug light switched on and we cannot get it to boot onto the desktop. After doing some googling into what the VGA light means and finding out that it means that the video card isnt being detected we unplugged the power to the GPU and took the GPU out of the Mobo, and then put it all back in. However this was to no avail and the light is still on. Can anyone help with this please? Hey. So yesterday while just watching youtube my pc randomly restarted. It then turned on again, i thought it was whatever, but then it restarted again. So I clicked the Clear CMOS button on the back of my motherboard, and now when I turn it on I can't get any signal to my monitor. The EZ Debug Led's on my motherboard says it's something to do with the CPU. It turns on under the CPU label for about 8 seconds and then turns off, no beeping or anything else. I've tried switching the CPU cable in the PSU, tried clearing CMOS multiple times, even took out the CMOS battery, and tried the JBAT1 thing. I'm suspicious that my CMOS doesn't clear because my motherboard LEDs still lights up above my ram which apparently means that XMP is on, which I don't think it should be when I've cleared CMOS. I have no clue what to do next. Please share your experiences if you have any or if you have any suggestions for what the problem is or a solution! Thanks! MSI Motherboard CPU debug LED giving a hint?
G9XFTW posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
My old MSI B450 motherboard crashed a few times while streaming and I noted the CPU debug led would light up. The old mobo does not work now, the pc shutsdown within seconds of booting. Now on the Tomahawk max, while playing LFD2, with AMD RYZEN balanced power plan ( I actively keep switching between them as per usage), the whole system crashed again. The audio would freeze or go out of sync and then the pc would crash and eventually reboot like normal. I could not notice quickly, but Im sure it was the CPU led which lit up again. (I sit to the right of my cabinet). Is the CPU potentially killing motherboards or what?- 12 replies

Hello. So to kick things of i went to buy new RAM sticks (2x8gb) with the supported MHz rate. Now when I installed them with my other 8gb stick my monitor won’t display HDMI or Displayport. Also EZ DEBUG LED CPU is on. What I’ve tried: All dimma slots with all RAM sticks, CMOS reset, basic power on and off, HDMI cable to CPU port and reinstalled CPU. Nothing mentioned did NOT work. I would appreciate really much if someone had the time to help me!!!

Hello all! I was helping a friend clean and reset his PC, and after removing most the components and dusting them, I went to turn it on and was greeted with beeping and error code 61 on the debug led. I don't have much experience with Intel, and after being unable to solve after a google and trying a few fixes (Re-mounting all the ram, taking motherboard battery out and in.) I figured I'd make a post here. Motherboard is a GA-X99-Gaming G1 WIFI. Any help is appreciated!

So this is my first build after i connect every thing i can't get it to boot and i keep getting the cpu led on for some reason the led then keep switching to vga led and dram for some time also then they all go off thats where I'm Now but at first i was getting the dram led only and when i checked them they weren't installed properly so i fixed that. The cpu fan works for bit then shutdown and keep doing that. Case fan doesn't work at all. The GPU seems to work fine the fans are spinning. I don't know what to do from here i recorded a video that i will upload to Mega client because its size( https://mega.nz/#!GtsRlY6B!mRvXTivBalFy-ZE0ibyZCKujpSlPZSNepXsySDb7_aE ) and here's a photo and my rig specs. I recently moved to US for my studies. So, I got it shipped to US. Before shipping I disconnected the PSU, GPU and RAM form the case and packed the rest of the PC as is. After receiving it here in US, I assembled everything and turned on the PC. There were some spark/crackle sounds. I immediately turned off the machine and try to figure out what happened. I couldn't see any smoke or visual damage on the mobo. But there was burnt smell for sometime. I speculated that it might be RAM. I dared again to turn the PC on. This time my PC turned on properly without any issue but there was no POST. The RAM EZ Debug LED was on for 5 secs and then getting turned off after 5 secs every time I turned on my PC. I faced this before. Last time this happened I cleared the CMOS and it started to POST normally. I did the same for more than 5 times this time, still no POST. I tried updating my mobo bios, still no POST. So, I searched around and found that re-seating the CPU worked for some guy. I tried to remove the CPU Cooler, the CPU was STUCK to the cooler very tightly. So, I searched online to how to remove CPU that is stuck to cooler and found a solution where isoproponal was used to remove the CPU. So I did the same and successfully removed the CPU from cooler. Now, I re-seated the CPU, connected all the other components and turned on my PC. This time DRAM EZ Debug LED was on. I tried all the combinations of RAM configurations (single and dual) channel and nothing worked. It was late at night so I disconnected PSU and left the PC as is and went to sleep. Next day right after waking up, I connected my PC to PSU and turned on the machine and found that CPU EZ Debug LED was on. I re-seated my CPU several times and didn't work. I breadboarded the machine with CPU+cooler, PSU and 1 RAM stick on the mobo and turned it on. Still the CPU EZ Debug LED is on. Don't know what to do. Please help.

I have been going through some of my old PC components and testing the each one to make sure they still work. I recently tested my Asus Rampage IV Extreme motherboard (EATX LGA2011) and it booted up fine. I revisited the system a day or two later and turned it on using the onboard system start (I do not have any of the components in a case and I am on a testing bench) and the Debug LEDs read "00". I read this meant "not used" in the manual but I do not know how to fix the issue. Methods attempted to fix the situation: - Changing the RAM to different slots and RAM quantities. - Re-socketing the CPU. - Putting the system into its slow-mode and rebooting. - Resetting the system BIOS. - Taking out all system components one-by-one until it was determined it was the motherboard. I had just the CPU in and the issue was still reoccurring and nothing changed. - Tested all of the components but the CPU and RAM in a different board and all of the hardware works fine. My system hardware is: - Motherboard - Asus Rampage IV Extreme motherboard (EATX LGA2011) - CPU - Intel Core i7-4930K 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor - RAM - G.Skill Ares Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR3-2400 CL11 Memory (2x) - Graphics - Zotac GeForce GT 730 2 GB Video Card - PSU - EVGA BQ 850 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply - Storage - Seagate Desktop HDD 4 TB 3.5" 5900RPM Internal Hard Drive I have tried finding the solution to this online and I haven't been able to find anything on any forms relating to my motherboard. The forms I found were all from over half a decade ago. Any help is appreciated.

The Debug code is 'D-3' in my motherboards manual which says that "some of the architectural protocols are not available". What gives here? I have a Gigabyte X570 Auros Master. The rest of the specs are listed below in the 'signature' section.

Alright , so I built a few systems in the last few weeks all ryzen 7s and omg msi was a shit show. I built 2 asus, 1 asrock , 1 gigabyte and 1 msi. all the brands except MSI booted on the first attempt. MSI made me try 3 different brands of ram reseat the CPU like 11 times , RMA one board, buy a different one , same issues , and at some point it decided, you know what, i'll post this once so you can flash me. Sorry , I just wanted to rant , this was a horrible experience for me. the worst part is I had full confidence in MSI since I owned an X99 sli plus an X79 SLI plus and a Z270 SLI plus. never will I buy MSI for AMD cpu's.

Hey all, I've got a problem starting up my system I built about 8 months ago. Specs: CPUi5-4690k MotherboardAsus Z97-A RAMKingston Fury Black Series 8GB DDR3-1866 GPUEVGA GTX 980 Superclocked CaseFractal Design Define R4 StorageW RE4 2TB, Corsair Force LX 256GB SSD PSUCorsair CS650M CoolingCorsair h100i, w/ 2 Corsair SP 120mm fans, 2 insignia 120mm fans. Issue: This weekend I decided to re-position the radiator of the h100i to the front intake for a push/pull configuration, I did have to remove the cooler and re-seat it on the CPU. It took a while (tight fit with the hard drive cage) but once it was all put back together I encountered the following problem. On startup, my system powers on and all the debug LED's flash once (as per normal) on the ASUS Z97-A. However the Boot Device LED remains a solid red. I see the ASUS loading screen for about 2 seconds with the text below saying "press F2 or Delete to enter UEFI BIOS setting" (which is unresponsive). It then takes me to the AMI POST screen, shown below. The only option is to "press F1 to run SETUP". Upon pressing F1 the screen goes black and remains this way. I've waited for it but it really just remains blank. I don't see how the radiator re-positioning would cause this problem, So I believe it's a problem with the motherboard. Ive tried the following with no success: - Disconnecting the drives and starting the system, turn system off, then connecting them and starting system up. - Starting system with 1 stick of ram installed - Taking out CMOS battery for 15 mins, replacing with new battery, start up system. - Reset CMOS. Thoughts: - Maybe I need a BIOS Update, but can I update the BIOS if I cant get into the BIOS itself to boot? - I've read the SATA controller can die, maybe its this? - I doubt it but maybe there is actually a problem with the drives? If so how would I test? Just wanted to bring it here before I contact ASUS, Any help would be appreciated!

I just upgraded my system (a lot). i got an i7 4790k paired with an h100i all in one liquid cooler. I also upgraded to a gigabyte z87x-ud5th motherboard. On first boot I got the debug led 51. the manual said that this is a memory initialization error. I opened up a ticket with gigabyte and they said to check for bent pins. Nothing. I moved my Ram into different slots, and still the same debug led on startup. any ideas?
