I'm a newcomer to Canada and need advice on the best time to buy a laptop within a $700-$800 CAD budget. It will be used for basic and development tasks, and I'm specifically looking for anything Intel i5 10th gen/Ryzen or newer, 256GB or more storage, 16GB RAM, and a size of 14 inches or smaller, type-c charging or 256gb/m1 MacBook if possible. Considering the late December/early January timeframe, I'm wondering if it's an optimal time to buy now or if I should wait for year-end deals. Any insights on student discounts and recommendations for reliable stores or online platforms would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help!

The Video is self explanatory. TLDR: Get EA Play for 0.80€ -> Get the CD-Keys from Steam for all the games you want -> Redeem them in Origin to keep them forever and not just a month Same guy that found the Bug concerning the Community Posts in Youtube btw.

I've seen the BOM kits & the 3d printed component kits but not both together unless it's from Alibaba or a Hong Kong based eBay account. Why is this? & While you're here, would you recommend building one?

What is the best deal you bought because you saw at a store or online? I have been seeing some good deals recently. For like HDDs, Ram, and SSDs. Like a couple of months ago, I was going for a ram upgrade for my build from 16gb to 32gb. Since I game and build mods for games like left 4 dead 2, Skyrim and Fallout and I use blender and other 3d modeling softwares. So I went to best buy right when the deals change (sometimes they honor the deals of last week at the present week), they had 4x8gb kit for 275 but the deal they had for the 2x16gb for 175 on sale and bought two of the 2x16gb kits for 75 more than the 4x8gb. I know it's overkill but couldn't past that offer.

Hello everyone, I found this deal on Amazon for Thermalright’s Frost Commander 140 CPU cooler. To get 20% off, you have to clip the coupon for this item by pressing the check mark near the price of the item. It has options for white, black or gray. As for the performance, I’ve heard that it outperforms Deepcool’s AK620 and even Noctua’s NH-D15 (a bit skeptical on it comparing to the NH-D15) under a 260w load. I’m not sure how long this deals will last since Amazon coupons don’t show expiration dates, they only tell you when the coupon is expiring soon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JZ7B32Q?m=A1BCKG4OE2CKC4&ref=clp_pc_a_A7IOGZARN24SR

I think it's a pretty good deal. Only concerns: CPU not supporting SMT compared with AMD, Mobo only supports upto Gen9 intel CPUs, PSU a little weak Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Some Gaming, some ML-training (mostly sklearn + xgboost) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

This is a really nice microphone, and I have no idea why it would be discounted at this much of a price but it is! Hey Guys, Recently purchased some hard drives from a company I found on Slickdeals. Pretty happy with the purchase considering the cost per gig on the 3.5 drive. $269.99 - SK Hynix (NVMe) M.2 PE3110 960GB SSD $59.95 - 2TB WD Blue 7200 RPM I'm not sure how you guys feel about a used enterprise drive, but they're also selling used $52.95 - 2TB HGST Ultrastar 0F20620 7K4000 that apparently has less that 20h on it. HGST 7K4000's I think are equivalent to WD Blacks I think, from what I understand they're built to withstand earthquakes lol. ( don't quote me on that) --------------- I also talked to chat and found that their drives come with a 30 day warranty -- so that's nice. I forgot where I read that they only ship in the states, but a friend from Canada said that he ordered one by talking to chat? (I can't confirm) maybe they don't send out side of NA.

Howdy team! First time posting so putting this in off topic until I can comb through these better and get them in their respective threads, but Amazon has already started their Black "insert a time of year, preferably in the fall" Deals. I hope to comb through these (as there are a ton) and pick out any decent tech related ones to save people time. So far I'm seeing a number of mice, keyboards, a few mics, and a few laptops (which seem to be mostly certified refurbished). So if your in need of a any of those sooner rather than later and want it cheap, they are there. Cheers, DEM PS. Not sure if posting to Amazon is appropriate (so no link, so search for it yourselves for now), but if it is I'll put some links up when I find good deals from solid brands as I find them.

Updated this below. Now 15% off instead of 19% off since we're on release week. So believe it or not, discounts on Destiny 2 is rather rare from a legit source (eg a distributor authorized by Activision Blizzard. Given Battle.net keys aren't exactly something grey market can source easily - so this is why you probably don't see it on deep discount at reseller sites especially as its a region locked title as well. If you don't have a key from a GPU promotion and you're thinking of playing Destiny 2 on the PC (honestly seems like the best version) for release week, this is a solid price at 19% off and the highest we've seen since pre-order became available way back earlier this year. Destiny 2 Standard Edition - $50.99 (Battle.net) Destiny 2 Digital Deluxe Edition - $84.99 (Battle.net) Use code SUCHWOW10 Stacks with current instant savings of 10% off. Coupon expires Thursday Oct 19, 4:59PM PDT Battle.net key (region locked key) Includes pre-order bonus Exotic weapon Coldheart As mentioned the game is region locked so make sure you're not using VPN and you're buying from a region that matches with your Battle.net account. Shouldn't be an issue for most people as GMG automatically redirects you to the proper region. If you see pricing in your local currency then you're good to go. (Prices are obviously different but the 10% off coupon will work globally).

Honestly not a big discount but Playerunknown's Battleground isn't exactly a game that gets big price cut from legitimate stores much given the publisher puts strict restrictions in place, making sure retailers don't go too crazy with the discount. Playerunknown's Battleground - $26.99 Use code SUCHWOW10 Coupon expires Thursday Oct 19, 4:59PM PDT Steam key If you're not in a hurry we recommend a trick to get bigger price cut on PUBG. Sign up for an account at GMG, register and make sure you opt-in for their email offerings (newsletter). Generally they are sending out UNIQUE coupon codes for subscribers to get discount on PUBG (and other select games) in a 2-4 week cycle. Discounts are as high as 27% off but in general around 20-25% off. Anyways this code works on almost everything on GMG so you can stack discount on a few upcoming titles like Destiny 2...

Hello So I've been wanting a new phone for a while so I found out that in Amazon things are way cheaper than in my country's shops. So I just want to know how much % would the prices go down during the Black Friday? And do I need to pay the VAT when I order something from Amazon? I have been told that I need to pay 21% tax when I order the phone. By how much % could the price go down on https://www.amazon.com/Apple-iPhone-Factory-Unlocked-Smartphone/dp/B01NB1FOM3/ref=sr_1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1497373189&sr=1-3&keywords=iphone+7+plus ?
