Hello, i need Help realy Quick, Yesterday i was just doing some blender Stuff then suddendly my PC Bluescreened, upon restart my PC just keept bluescreening, everytime with another error than before. Today i tryed to log into My PC just so i can get more errors happening form "NTFS.SYS" or "NDIS.SYS" or "MEMORY_OVERLEAD" and even more. i tryed automatic and Starup repair but both failed. I even (when i had a couple of Minutes) into CMD and tryed "sfc /scannow" but even after scanning Windows it just came up with "to many files are Corruped to Repair" Pls Help me Quick. Do i need to Reinstall windows? Contact Microsoft?

Hello everyone! Some days ago I recieved a PC from a colleague and he said that it suddently stopped working and he asked me to try to fix it. The PC turns on, but there is no output display , although the display works fine. The fan spins very fast but then slows down. First I thought it was the RAM, but if it were the RAM the motherboard would have beeped, right? (And I tried turning it on with no RAM and still no beeps or lights) So I thought it was the PSU, so I tested it in another computer and it booted normally, so the PSU isn't the problem. Therefore it could only be the mobo or the CPU. I changed the CMOS battery (and cleared the CMOS and the RTC RAM), still nothing. I removed everyting from the case and just connected the CPU, the fan, the PSU and the RAM and still nothing. I tried to look out for a bent CPU pin, a burnt capacitor or something like that, and once more nothing. He says that he can buy a new motherboard or CPU but he doesn't have the budget for both (and I wouldn't like to tell him to buy something that is already working). Any suggestions of what could be the issue? Hello, I have built a new PC for my relative 3 weeks ago. I really hope I din't do anything wrong, because I build a few computers already & and nothing similar happened to me. After I was done building (and yes, I have tried to follow all instructions from manufacturers), I did install all of the software such as Windows OS, MS Office, drivers, etc. I also did dome light benchmarks and system seemed to work great & was stable. My relative got his new PC for 4 days but something has happened - the PC wouldn't even turn on. So I went to look at it and it was dead PSU. Most of the time I pressed the power up button nothing happened, after unplugging and plugging back in it would just turn on for a split second - fans and RGB turned on but then instantly turned off and stayed off again. I also tried the PSU directly with included pin tester and 3 days ago everything worked, now it was not turning on. So we replaced the PSU with new one (exactly same brand and line) and everything looked ok, PC works again, I thought it was just a bad unit. However, 9 days later, the replaced PSU is dead again. I am wondering, if could there be something killing off PSUs in the build? Or is it just coincidence? (I don't know if this is important, but the relative insists on having plugged all of his PC stuff - PC, 2 monitors, printer, etc. - via 1 extension cord. Also I think his house doesn't have the newest wiring - it's kind of a hut.) Hello im not sure if this is the right place to ask this ,never been here before but recently my pc died all the sudden ive replaced the motherboard and the power supply but it still wont work

Hello everyone! As the title reads I'm trying to figure out my dead computer and why it won't post. A little while back I had a power surge when my computer was turned on. When we regained power my computer would not turn back on. I have replaced most of the computer parts and I still can't get a running computer. PSU, cpu, motherboard, gpu, etc. With my luck I could have bought already dead parts. I have tried mismatching all of the parts and still nothing, I tired doing a bios update for the new cpu but I don't think I can unless I get into the bios. For both systems built, the lights just turn on and fan spin up but nothing happens on my monitor. I have also unplugged everything and tried one thing at a time. I know this post is a little incoherent but any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I just want to play my games!! And as for post codes I get nothing. All I get is a continuous clock noise. No beeps. If you need any more information just let me know and I'll provide it. Thank you in advance. Old computer parts.. My PC has been running fine for the past 5ish years Until today when I went to go turn it on and nothing happened No lights, no fans, nothing... there was no power cut overnight I did nothing special, other than hibernating (as usual) Ended up stripping it down to just the motherboard and psu. no cpu, ram, speaker etc Swapped PSU's Still nothing If I short pins 4 & 5 on the PSU's, they both start up and the leds on the motherboard turn on. if I reconnect a few things the fans on cpu, case and gpu start up speaker doesn't beep and still no display output no power to the USB ports either I assume the mb is dead, as even without a cpu, the psu should still turn on Ryzen 5 2600 GA-AX370M-DS3H 1060 & 750 ti 500W & 650W PSU's

I bike to school everyday, usually with my laptop in the backpack. since last month my win10 laptop (lenovo yoga 7i ryzen5800U) would randomly not boot. The laptop is pretty cold but not freezing cold. Toronto has been about 0 to -5 celsius or 20~30 fahrenheit, and my back is very warm when biking so i don't think laptop ever gets subzero or any condensation. Error is "boot drive not found." While i wait, since I can still go into the bios, I would fiddle with the bios, and about 3 to 10 min later laptop will boot. I'm not sure whether getting warmer in classroom or me resetting the bios is the cause of fix. I have unplug and plug back the ssd and the issue still persists today i decided to check on the ssd, and CrystalDiskInfo gave a big red error BAD 95% Critical warning 0000000000000004 What does all this mean? I'm backing up right now. Should I buy a new SSD asap? any help is greatly appreciated

Yeah so I am pretty sure either my cpu or motherboard are dead, because for whatever the reason, my pc wont boot up anymore. Yesterday I pulled it apart to do some cleaning, very light dusting and stuff, and it worked fine after I put it back together. Later on I noticed that only 1 of my 2 ram sticks was responding so I turned the pc off, let it sit for a minute before plugging everything out and pulling out the ram to see if I placed it in wrong. (Mind you it worked fine before when I went to boot it up after I was done dusting, all 8 gigs were reporting correctly in the bios) Now it powers on but there is no display output nor does it make a beep like it used to on boot up. For context I am using the following parts: AMD FX6 6300, Gigabyte ga970a-ud3p, 8gb of 1600MHz HyperX DDR3 ram, Gigabyte Geforce GTX 680. 1 sad and 2 hard drives. Please help me, idk what to do rn.

Motherboard : MSI Tomahawk CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 RAM: 16GB GPU GPU: GTX 750 ti PSU: 550w A couple of days ago my PC completely died on me. I tried to turn it on but it didn't turn on at all. I wasn't running any heavy task I was simply running chrome (one tab) and Microsoft Word. I already tried troubleshooting most of the components but nothing seems to work. I swapped the gpu with another working gpu, swapped the RAM, bought a new PSU, bought a new motherboard and nothing seems to work. So now I'm thinking that maybe the problem is the CPU but I'm not completely sure because non of the motherboards responded for the debug LED lights to indicate what is wrong. Wouldn't a faulty motherboard or CPU still turn on to indicate the problem? It's acting complete dead. I even tried to jump star both motherboards with the screwdriver method but it's still not turning on. (maybe I'm doing it wrong?) When i bought the new PSU I upgraded the wattage just in case that was the problem but still nothing. Can anyone help?

My current setup is: i7 6700k 16GB RAM Asus Z170 Pro motherboard RTX 2060 (installed about 1 week ago) Corsair HX850i PSU (way more power than I need, I know) I turned off my PC around 2pm yesterday, went back to it three hours later, pressed the power button and got nothing. Thought it might be the button to blame but jumping the pins on the mobo didn't do anything either. No signs of life except the pwr LED on the motherboard is on (my mouse and kb rgb is also lit up). No fans start. The test fan button on the PSU does work and the PSU fan spins when it is pressed. I have tried removing the GPU, RAM and CMOS battery to no avail. I built the PC back in summer 2016 and it has worked flawlessly up until now, including for the last week with the RTX 2060 I just installed. I am trying to ascertain whether I have a Mobo, PSU or CPU issue on my hands. Obviously all PC stores are closed at the moment and I need my computer for studies and work (and gaming, else I'll be fantastically bored during this lockdown), but don't want to waste my time buying a new motherboard if the CPU is at fault or vice versa. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!

dont buy cheap psu or it can do the same to your pc and motherbord. i think its dead the cpu and motherbord it was asus m5a97 le r2.0 and the cpu fx 6100 and it only went up to 4.1ghz stable

Hi there, today as of February 27th, my gaming computer has given up. It was a good whole two years and a quarter that I had my first personal PC. When I first got my job, to the moment I got my parts, it made me feel great. Coming from console, I was genuinely a lot more happier than what I usually express. Her name was Black Red Sun, and now she is gone. As thought it was not truly a beast of a computer, I was still able to play the games I enjoyed the most. I was confused on why it would not turn on and I checked the whole PC. I troubleshooted all my components and to no avail. I am literally tearing up as I type this because I spent so much time and hard work to be able to get my own. She was first built back on November 13th of 2018. I tried all I could, even switching out the battery from the motherboard and nothing. I only wished that it was messing with me. I don't really know what else I can do now and since I have not income, there is nothing to do for it. I am hoping off the PC group and just leave it at that. May Black Red Sun rest.

I was trying to disassemble my laptop to clean the keyboard which have been getting stuck... The very firs thing I attempted to disconnect was the battery and while doing so I think I made it to short, because there was a tiny spark in the connection where the battery cables meet the board. Now the damm thing won't turn on, the status leds won't show anything, not even when I connect the power cable... and when the battery is connected it makes a steady but quiet high pitch sound. Is there any hope? I´m getting dessperate...?

So I received a desktop computer last night but it isn't working at all. It's not turning on. There is no fan spin nor signs of life other than a small sound if a flip the switch at the back off which indicates that at least some power is being transmitted through the port. Any advice on how to fix or what could be the problem? I don't know the specs of the machine. I just got it with no other information. (It was free.)

Built my first gaming pc back in Nov 2012 (I still remember all the feelings of excitement and anticipation) Sadly it has died on it's 10th year I turned it on, logged in, loaded up firefox, went down for dinner, came back and it was a white screen with "grid lines" and nothing was responsive. I tried to reboot, reset, system restore, reinstall windows locally and cloud and each time it would just either boot and get stuck on a black screen or it would boot, or lots of red lines on the screen, or go through all the typical windows things like "attempting to restore 56%" etc Therefore I'm thinking either my mobo is dead or my drive is faulty that's preventing me from even getting into windows itself (could be gpu... but I don't think so?) Budget: is roughly $2,500.00 Canadian (but prefer to spend only what I need) Usage: I mainly use it for gaming (used to play lots but haven't really had time lately), I also use it for work from home stuff but nothing heavy just typical emails, excels, vpns etc For gaming I would say I'm definitely a fan of the Witcher Series, Anno, Civilization, FarCry, Halo and a lot of other smaller indie titles like Hades and Ori Goal: Hoping to have a machine that'll last the years as I don't foresee another upgrade for a while and that I can still enjoy comfortable 1440p gaming at smooth frames. I normally just buy whatever is convenient all in one place instead of jumping to 50+ stores to get a deal and I suppose I do live near a Canada Computers. Here's a list of parts I have currently and maybe I can get some advice on what to salvage or just build a totally new machine (Maybe I can convert the remaining older parts into a home server or something haha) Any advice would be much appreciated especially with Black Friday Sales on now and the fact that I literally have no PC to use!
