OLED displays are extremely short-lived... I bought the LG C9 in August of 2020, not even 3 years, and today I noticed so many dead pixels on the top right corner... I only use this as TV purpose mainly for Netflix, Apple TV+ and Disney+, never use for monitor purpose. So far, there has been no burn-in, but this is the first time I've encountered dead pixel spreading on a display that has been in use for less than 3 years... The warranty period is 2 years, and they begin to exhibit bad symptoms after the warranty expires.... Now I am regret for not purchasing an extended warranty for it. Now I totally no confidence to plan use OLED panel display as PC monitor. The TV distance put is far, and dead pixels are unnoticeable, but this is not the case if used as a PC monitor.

Hello , 3 months ago i got my new monitor zowie benq xl2411p ! it was fine for the first two months then a stuck pixel showed ! not sure if its a stuck pixel ! it shows black on red screen only and light blue on white screen and sometimes it changes the color when am in game ! it works fine on blue and green screens ! So if it's actually a stuck pixel ! i restarted the monitor and it went away for 2 weeks then today it showed again but it's not going away this time ! Should i be worried about it ? i have a store guarantee for 1 year i still have 9 months left ! Should i return it or it won't spread ? -
Hello all! Three days I bought a new LG Ultrafine Ergo 4K monitor 32" and just yesterday I discovered a pixel that appears to be problematic or due to dust?Any advice ?Should I ask for a replacement?

Hi Recently I bought an ASUS VG259QM, and at first it doesn't seems to have any obvious issue during the first two weeks of usage. The return period and 1 to 1 replace trial period (10 days) has gone by and I have even thrown away the box. But last week, there seems to have one dead sub pixel suddenly appear in the middle of the screen. Tried switching input source, https://www.jscreenfix.com/ and factory reset the monitor, and it still doesn't go away. Although in gaming and movie, it's less noticeable, but whenever there is bright background or like normal web browsing in normal reading distance, it's pretty annoying having it right in the middle Local ASUS warranty says this model needs 3 stuck pixel or 5 dead pixels to consider it defect which I think it's unacceptable. From what I googled, it seems like ASUS monitor QC just isn't that great? https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?p=58461&sid=a9eeb112c4a90050e97a116e695fc563#p58461 I've very little monitor buying experience, since I rarely upgrade them, last time was 2015. Is it still norm to get new monitors with dead or stuck pixel these days? Is it normal to have dead pixel suddenly appear? more to come? All my older and cheaper monitors never have dead pixel during their whole lifetime. Am I stuck dealing with this one dead pixel or should I keep annoying ASUS CS and see if they can warrant it or even pay to fix it? Is it even worth paying to fix dead pixel?

Black Translucent Mark on Brand New AOC 24g2u There is a black mark on my AOC 24g2u which isn't dirt and doesn't appear to be a dead pixel, I am unsure of what it is and whether or not I should return the unit. Any advice? images: https://imgur.com/a/KBOZsFg

hi, today i just got my monitor after 65days [EU].but my unit has three dead pixels. - first one is on the top left corner. ( which is not noticeable in daily use ) - second one is right in center of my screen. - third is middle right ( idk if it’s really a dead or stuck pixel. you can feel a small dent) It states that the alienware series of monitors must have 6 or more Bright Sub-Pixel defects or 9 or more Dark Sub-Pixel defects to warrant a replacement. My monitor only has ~3 dead pixels, so i can't apply for an rma from dell.So I have to cancel my order and return it within 14 days and buy a new one via dell shop. My problem is the new monitor is available on 07.09. i have to wait two more months to eventually get a better one. How would you behave ? would you keep the previous monitor with the dead pixel or accept an extremely long wait for the new one or give a shit about Dell / Alienware? Except for the dead pixels, my unit has very little ips glow. however, 650 euros are too much for a new monitor with a dead pixel right in the middle. idk if I’m too picky or not ?

I bought this monitor yesterday and I’ve noticed a small black dot at the lower right corner. Is it a dead pixel or is it something else? I don’t know if I should return this or not. (Sorry for the low res photo.)

I have just bought a new LCD monitor, but there is one dead/stuck pixel right in the middle of the screen. One pixel means that it does not meet the requirements to exchange. I have carried out some research and seen that there are dead pixel fixer software such as https://www.geckoandfly.com/23669/detect-fix-repair-dead-stuck-pixels/ and https://www.jscreenfix.com Question is, do they work or is it just snake oil? At worst if i run them will it damage the screen any further? Thanks.

Hi guys, I need some help diagnosing this issue. I bought a Samsung 32" c32jg50 monitor almost a year ago and a few days ago I noticed what appeared to be some dead pixels on the right top corner of the display. When I tried to count how many pixels were affected by looking at the them under the magnifier (to know if I could use the monitor's warranty) I noticed that none of the pixels were actually dead pixels as you can see in the attached images. I don't know what I actually have here since no pixels are dead or stuck but some subpixels seem to be less bright than some others(?). I don't really know if this issue has a name and whether this is going to be covered by the warranty. What do you think? Do you think Samsung is going to cover this issue by changing the monitor's display or won't they? Do you know what the name of this issue is or if this can be solved by some other method that is not changing the display? Thank you all in advance

Does somebody here have experience with returning LG monitors with dead pixels? I have almost new LG 27UD68P-B with two bright ones and two dark ones. One of the bright ones is almost in the middle. Do you think they will replace it?

I bought a refurbished MSI GE62 around December from an Amazon seller. I did open it up to change the hdd to a ssd I had laying around so the factory void sticker is broken. However lately I started to notice a few stuck pixels. Then a few more dead pixels. Then a black vertical striped line. Around the top there's some more dead pixels that look like a small galaxy. And today another vertical stripe appeared, but this time blue. I would try to send an rma request and see if they'd take it but there rma website has no option for laptops. Is it stuck this way or would they possibly take an rma? I've tried massaging the screen and it works in some areas. But not all. And Jscreenfix isn't working at all so far. In fact massaging the screen sometimes temporarily makes more dead pixels and even vertical stripes. I attached a crappy photo of the stripes below in the spoiler.

I have a pixel on my new monitor that is just always green, it's not really too much of a big deal for me, i know benq has their dead pixel return thingy i'm far too lazy for that though, was just wounder if it can cause issues further down the track.

Hello all! :-) Just got a new laptop (a few days old now) with a 1080p display and I'm slowly beginning to notice some dark specks on the display when using a white background that weren't there before. I thought they were stuck pixels and ran the pixel fixing videos but no luck. They are very small but you can't un-see them once you notice them. :-( I have attached a few pics. Please have a look and let me know if you think they are dead pixels or maybe the display is degrading or something? Should I try for a replacement? Any advice would be welcome, ty! :-)

As last time i got this monitor replaced for dead pixels. The one is defective to and has bad ghosting. Showing images of raw and some edits where the dead pixel is. RRRRR this is pissing me off I had to wait a 3 weeks for a new monitor just for another dead one. AOC G2460VQ6

Hey guys, I've been looking to get a 1080p/144hz freesync display lately. So far roughly the cheapest I can find is about 220, though I've been able to find one for 150 with a single hot pixel (always white). I would like to ask from your experiences if it's very noticeable? Thanks in advance!

Hello guys. I have a MSI GE62 6QD notebook and recently I've noticed my screen is showing some problems with red color. The red color is appearing hazy. Since screenshot won't help much as your screen would be good, I tried to portray the scenario on MS Paint to accurately describe the problem. You see, after each horizontal line of red pixel, the next horizontal line of red pixels appear dim and almost looks like black. As I work with Graphics and video editing stuff, this is very problematic. I have also noticed I have 1 dead pixel on my screen. But this red pixel problem is very annoying. I'm seeing the problems with Red, Orange etc colors. Green, blue and other colors are working fine. The notebook display is connected via eDP. Googling, I found it might have been an overheat issue, and I found 2 things. A week ago, when the laptop seems a little overheated, the red problem occurred. If I shut down the PC and restart it, the screen problem would have gone. But now, the problem is not going away and there's no overheating problems either. The problem occurs right after boot. I still have warranty left 6 months warranty left. So what should I do now? My college has just started, so if I RMA, it will take a while. Thanks.

Alright so a few days ago this line appeared at the top of my monitor. This is the monitor I have - https://www.amazon.com/AOC-G2460PQU-Ultimate-Performance-Professional/dp/B00HY7PAUC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480872739&sr=8-1&keywords=aoc+144hz+g2460p The line is white most of the time when on a still image (Sometimes is adapts to the color), but when watching a video or scrolling on a website with colorful pages, it adapts to those colors. So I'm not convinced the pixels are dead. Another thing to note is the line is very thing and just so happens to be on the same grid line as a pixel that has been dead on occasion, but keeps coming back to life. I did put pressure on the screen a few days ago and it went away for a while, but now that doesn't seem to work. I don't know if I'm making any sense or not, but someone please help.

Recently I bought https://www.amazon.in/gp/aw/d/B07L9DTTKN?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image and noticed a dead pixel on top right of the screen. It's not really noticeable but my main concern is will that dead pixel cause any further problems or cause any major issue to the screen or should I replace the monitor?

So i bought a new monitor - AOC 24V2Q, and when i came back home i found a dead pixel on the screen. I didn't see it at the store when i was testing it. It doesn't bug me much, i only see it if i specifically look for it. Should i still swap it for a new one, and hope that one doesn't have a burned/dead pixel? Is there any danger to having a burned/dead pixel? I've heard rumors that if you have a dead pixel, it can spread and you'll have more dead pixels on screen. Is this true? When do dead pixels spread? How fast do they spread? -
Hi , Sometime around 5 months ago a small black zone appeared on the bottom-middle of the screen. I though that it was something stuck between the bezzel and the screen so I tried to take the plastic out and inspect it. There was nothing between there and I also managed to make a small crack on the screen (barely visible), but the black zone has expanded significantly. Is there a way to fix this or should I replace it right away?(see picture for the black zone)

People always tell me that it is possible to get a monitor with absolutely no dead pixels. I have gotten 4 gaming monitors, each one had to be returned because I either found 1 dead pixel in the very center of my screen, or 6 scattered everywhere. I guess my eyes are just good at picking up black specs, but some of the dead pixels are extremely small while others that I have seen look like a small black box. The small ones are really hard to see so part of me thinks that these people that claim to have no dead pixels on their screen just don't see them. Basically, I am asking if perfect monitors with no dead pixels exist because I don't want to keep replacing my monitor thinking that I might get a perfect screen. If getting a perfect screen is almost impossible, I might just stick with a monitor that has 1 dead pixel as long as it is on the far sides of the screen. I just really need some opinions here.

This happened to my Sony Vaio laptop screen. (image below) Is the screen, the igpu, what happened here? It did not fall, it was working fine the day before, did not overheated (I think) and no drivers updates (I updated to Windows 10 one month earlier to this). Thank you for the help.

I own a 21.5 inch Asus 1080p monitor. In September 2015, a bug crawled into my screen and died, and now there's a nasty spot on my screen. It's hard to deal with, I want it gone. I constantly animate and the bug really gets in the way of my work. I haven't disassembled the monitor, and from what I understand, going through an RMA process is a pain. Don't tell me to deal with it, because I can't live with this, it's unacceptable. I spent over $100 on my monitor and I don't want to have to get a new one just because of this. What should I do? Is there any way I can remove it myself (which would void my warranty), or should I just find the warranty to my monitor and go through the RMA process? And if I can't get it RMAed, what should I do then? Thanks!

I just got my super big (and pricey) monitor - an Acer 34 inch ultrawide (freesync version, XR341CK) - and things were going smashingly until I noticed for the first time an artifact on the screen... *tum tum tummm*. Check out the image below. Are these dead/jacked up pixels?? Do I/can I fix it somehow??? Should I return to manufacturer for a replacement? Keep in mind this is an IPS panel. It's not a smudge or anything since I cannot wipe it away. For something that costs as much as it does you'd think they provide better quality. *sheesh*
