Hi All, I'm experiencing an issue where when my digital audio workspace (DAW) is open I can't play audio from any other software (spotify or YouTube for example). In order to enable YouTube I have to close the DAW, unplug my audio interface from my PC, and finally reconnect the audio interface to the PC. This is particularly an issue when watching a tutorial video on how to use a feature in the DAW, as an example. Is there any way to build some kind of separation between the resources the DAW needs, and the resources my PC needs to run YouTube in order to run them simultaneously? Not sure if there is an easy fix to this, or if something like a virtual machine or additional audio card would work. For some background, I use Windows 11, a UR-22 audio interface with the required audio drivers, KRK rokit 5 monitors, cakewalk as my DAW (although I've tried others experiencing the same issue) and ASIO. ASIO4ALL has too much latency to be a valid solution. My PC is on my profile. Not sure if there is an easy way to post all the specs here. Thanks! J

Hi, Due to mild/medium electrohypersensitivity (EHS) I decided to use my heavy music production PC remotely via Ethernet to reduce exposure. The DAW I use is Cubase, operating system is windows 11 my workstation desktop. I have two homes, so I could run my desktop remotely from a light laptop or desktop in the other one via ethernet. For me, audio latency and quality should be as unaffected as possible, lossless audio is very important for recording and also playback. A Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface is the interface I use, 2 channels in, 2 channels out. For input, it's important to have 24 bit audio (since I'm using effects on top of my recordings), for output, 16 bit is enough. Lossless quality is more important than latency, since my interface has direct monitoring and I can set up a latency correction in my DAW. I don't mind a few frames of lag, only having 30fps nor some visual artifacts for this purpose. Also, will my internet be fast enough? Download speed is 90 mb/s upload speed is 17 mb/s. Occasionally I also use my PC for strategy gaming, so I should be able to switch to something like Parsec for this purpose. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

THIS CAN ONLY BE SOLVED BY MUSIC PRODUCERS Whenever I try to take a sample sound into waveform free or ableton DAW, I want it to be on the piano roll with the keys (C,d,e,f,g,a,b,c) as the same note as the sample sound. A donk sound in my case, (for hardbass) this is possible in FL studio but it's paid (Please don't tell me to pirate it, please). I want the piano roll to convert the note of the sample sound onto the keys, you can also tell me some plugins for this. (if there are any lol) I'm trying to figure this out for a week now, any help is greatly appreciated. P.S: I'm very sorry for such a specific question, I hope it's allowed. Thanks.

Hello forum, i will go with 5900X or 5950X from AMD and i need MOBO, Ram for that. I need 2 Thunderbolt 3.0 for audio interface etc. 10 USB ports. 2 NVME Pci-e 4.0 Wifi AX Well i can find B550 Vision D from Gigabyte but it hasn’t support 2 Pci-e 4.0 Nvme. I’m using Pro Tools i can choose 32Gb or 64Gb Ram. But i don’t want to waste my money. Can you recommend me capacity and model. - best speed and latency each capcity.

Budget (including currency): around 37.000,00 ден 600 € (without peripherals) Country: North Macedonia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: DAW running Cubase, Sibelius; other various office programs; Skype and kid YouTube videos (this is a one for all PC build and it would not be uncommon if any or all of the above mentioned programs would be running simultaneously, but primarily it’s a DAW). As for gaming I might play QuakeLive two or three times a year at most (so that is not a factor). Monitor: I am planning on buying later something in the line of 34" LG 34WL500-B LED IPS 2560x1080 UltraWide but now it is not included in the price. I could use a suggestion for a good value for money monitor that is ultra wide at around 300 €. Other details: I already have a hard drive and SSD that I will scavenge of my other laptops as well as peripherals. This would be my first build. I am currently running my lap top HP ProBook 450 G3 with an Intel i5-6200U and 12GB of RAM and it is starting to choke so I want a significant upgrade. It is important to me that the build is as quiet as possible and I have no desire for RGB. My plan is to run in the beginning with the Ryzen APU. After a year I would probably invest in a decent graphic card and finally after another year or two, I would switch my Ryzen 3 3200G for a midrange 4th gen Ryzen CPU (not APU) or whatever is compatible with my mobo and graphics card at the time. I do not want to go over my current budget. My concern is: 1. whether this is a good strategy, 2. would a B550 board be a better choice, 3. should I wait for a similarly priced 4th gen Ryzen APU and just stick with it and ditch my whole upgrade strategy and maybe buy a graphics card later on, 4. is there anything that I am overlooking since I am a novice (even though I've watched a ton of build videos and fell confident about doing it). Here is what I came up with so far: CPU AMD Ryzen 3 3200G Quad-Core 3.6GHz AM4 BOX w/Radeon Vega 8 Graphics w/Wraith Stealth Cooler 5.860,00 ден 94,98 € ATX Midi Tower Case Sharkoon M25-W Gaming w/7.1 Sound Card, 2xUSB 3.0, 2x120mm+1x120mm Blue LED Fans 3.890,00 ден 63,05 € PSU 750W Gigabyte G750H Real Power, 80Plus GOLD, Modular, Silent, 14cm Fan, Fan Speed Control, Black 5.980,00 ден 96,92 € DIMM 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz Kingston CL16 HyperX Fury Black 5.240,00 ден 84,93 € DIMM 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz Kingston CL16 HyperX Fury Black 5.240,00 ден 84,93 € MB MSI X570 A-PRO RYZEN DDR4 4400+MHz PCIe4.0 USB3.2 Gbit LAN 10.365,00 ден 167,99 € Tenda Wireless N PCI-E Adapter 300Mbps W322E 690,00 ден 11,18 €

Please help ~ I am a music composer who is finally building a Home recording studio. I understand music, but know little about the computer tech side. So if any of you understand my needs & would like to help me, please do. My situation is this ~ For the most part I will be recording one instrument/vocal at a time(think one man band). I may lay down a drum/percussion track, then while I play that track or tracks back, I begin playing & recording a guitar or keyboard or vocal as another track ~ some recordings are analog instruments while at other times they will be Virtual instruments & MIDI. A big concern of mine is latency ~ the delay that occurs when converting an analog signal to digital and back again ~ sometimes referred to as round trip latency. I have everything for my studio except for a dedicated music computer. This is where you come in as I would truly appreciate your help so that I can make an informed, intelligent decision. I'm sure I have come to the right place! Thank You All!!! Current software: PreSonus Studio One ~ Professional v3.2 (DAW software) Native Instruments Ultimate v11 (Virtual Instruments ~ over 500Gb) Superior Drummer Outboard Gear: Interface ~ PreSonus Studio 192 (so I don't need a sound card) PreSonus S88 keyboard controller AKAI MPD32 Novation LaunchPad Pro Two sets of monitors ~ PreSonus Sceptre 8's / M-Audio BX5A's & PreSonus Temblor Subwoofer One 43" monitor Max. budget ~ $4,000 or less Again, Thanks

Hey guys. I have only recently been looking into creating, recording, and mixing my own songs, and am looking into purchasing either MIxcraft 8 or FL studio 12 to do so. I have way more experience with mixcraft, but fl studio looks more versatile and expandable. Which is best? --thanks

Hi! I’d consider myself an intermediate-level hardware guy. I’ve built a few PCs over the years, but they’ve all been relatively simple setups. My last major build was in 2011, and while I’ve added some very worthwhile upgrades (notably SSD’s and doubled Ram from 8GB to 16GB), I think I’m at the point where I need help figuring out what to prioritize for updates. I’m hoping to get some advice from people more knowledgeable about hardware. Forgive me if there’s any egregious displays of ignorance ahead! Before I list my current specs, I’ll try to give you an idea of what I want/need to do with my computer… I do some gaming, but I’m not a hardcore enthusiast. Gaming at 60fps on ultra-high settings on every game isn’t top priority for me. I do a lot of internet browsing and media streaming (and I have a horrible habit of having way too many tabs open, admittedly). However, over these past few years I’ve gotten into hobbies and professional work that are likely more CPU-intensive: Music production and audio editing with DAWs (Ableton Live 9) 3d Modelling & CAD (Mostly Sketchup but I’d like to try something like Zbrush) Geospatial analysis and cartography (ArcMap / ESRI suite) Here’s what I have currently: PC PART PICKER LIST HERE OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Ram: 16gb (4x Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3) CPU: Core i5-2500k Sandy Bridge Quad Core 3.3GHz (LGA 1155) GPU: Nvidia GTX 680 (Bought used from a friend, seems to be working just fine?) PSU: Rosewill Green Series RG630-S12 Other Stuff: -1x 3.5” bay multi-format card reader -1x DVD burner -2x SSD -3x HDD (possibly adding more? Or possibly replacing older ones?) -6+ USB devices plugged in at once (Mech keyboard, Mouse, MIDI keyboard, Game controller, Microphone, Cheap DAC…) Case: Raidmax Smilodon Monitor: 24” BenQ XL2420TE 144hz At the moment I’m probably willing to spend up to ~$400-$500 on upgrades. Here’s some of my thoughts/questions/concerns: CPU/Motherboard? I’m suspecting a new CPU would be near the top of the list for recommended upgrades, but with the 1155 socket, would I need to upgrade my motherboard too? It looks like a lot of the CPUs I was eyeballing take 1151/1150. I’d definitely benefit from an i7, but I’m confused as to what particular model would be best for my applications? PSU concern? Do I need a larger PSU? If it looks like I do, what wattage is suggested? I'm interested in trying a modular PSU next. Monitor concern? I’m expecting to purchase a secondary monitor at some point (For productivity, not gaming… That’s what the BenQ is for), and I’m set on either a 34” 3440x1440 ultrawide, or some kind of large 4k monitor. Would my current setup struggle to display a big ultrawide/4k monitor and a 144hz monitor? Case curiosity? I really like the look of my case, but I’ve found it a bit of a pain to work inside, as it feels like a tight squeeze. I’m also a bit of a data-archiver (read:hoarder), so I’d like to have plenty of room for adding more HDD’s. A friend of mine has a “super-tower” which looks incredibly roomy and easy to tinker in. Where/what are all the decent super towers? It looks like the market selection is fairly small? Or am I just not looking in the right spots? Edits: Formatting

HI, Looking for some help here. My question: Will running two Dual Core Xeon 5060 3.20 GHZ processors (hyper threading capable) meet the equivalent of an iCore 5? Will it act in essence the same as a single quad core processor? I am running audio intensive software and plugins, and right now CPU meter is @ 100% upon opening. I want to upgrade to two Xeon 5080's @ 3.7ghz to see if I can get it to work, before I absolutely have to upgrade the motherboard, which could then run dual quad cores. Also, would it be more beneficial to upgrade to the next model # of Xeon 5160 @ 3.0 GHZ ghz ? It has less GHz and no hyperthreading, but I assume it must be better since it is the next step up. My Specs:Maschine 2.8Windows 10Dell Precision Workstation 690Dual Core Xeon Proc 5060 3.20GHz, 2X 2MB L2 Cache Hyperthreading is enabled32GB Ram

Hey guys, planning to upgrade from my 6600k, z170 (gtx 1070) pc this year. during work / gaming I get a few hiccups here and there with my dual 1440p monitors, but more importantly I want more speed for making music (plus: stable and silent work + gaming). I have two questions and I'd be super thankful, if you guys could help me out (once more :D) 1. Now, I couldnt really find out how important the given chipset is for when you're making music and how much the quality of the board in general really affects making music (latency etc). If yall could help me decide between B450, X470 and X570 - that'd be great. I have the money to buy either, but Im not one keen on wasting money. (or say: Id rather go X570->B450 - in exchange - 3600->3700x). I am keen on good quality though, I dont like spending cash on garbage products / products that dont fit my needs. Prices in my country: - B450: 80-150€: quality seems to be good in general - X470: 120-180€: same here, though I dont see an upgrade for my use case if the chipset doesnt better the audio quality in any way (say, by improving communication between all the pcs "devices" / components) - X570: 170(!!)-several hundred: 170 seems to be an amazing deal on a good board right now, BUT: the only benefit - again - would be if the more advanced chipsed improved upon quality in any way. I'd also get pcie gen 4 and better IO. quick and fast usb ports seem to make a lot of sense with the audio interfaces and all. So I was about to buy this, until I started thinking of the fan. I am concerned with its durability in general, and with its noise, as I'll be recording very near to the (new) PC. What are your thoughts? [bear in mind: 3600 and b450 can be 289€; X570 changes that to a whopping 379€; I'd have no problem putting a 3900x into that board in say maybe 2 years - will a b450 board really be a solid, stable, silent board for that kinda scenario?] 2. I have few experiences with different DAW software. I am currently using Studio one 4. I make music quite a bit, although id range the CPU workload in the lower to mid hobby segment - heck, my 6600k is objectively up to the task, I just dont like the minor lags and feeling like Im working at a limit. Making music - you shouldnt be thinking about your cpu usage when youre about to add sth to your song - that kinda kills creativity and fun for me. SO: will most DAWs rather benefit from more cores or top of the line frequency, or both? (like where in some games the 9900k still pulls ahead of the 3700x and 3900x), or am I better off just getting a 6700k for my board for the hyperthreading? (since the security flaws are major, I dont actually wanna spend on a broken cpu generation anymore, though ). Whats your experiences? 3. Have any of you benefitted from going SSD->faster M.2, when making music? Is it worth maybe going for X570 and using a quick to react, super fast pcie gen 4 nvme ssd? (probably a lot of cash for basically no noticeable effect for hobby musicians, right?) Thank you guys so much, for some reason I am simply not capable of posting a short question, so thanks a lot for bearing with me haha Greetings, Chris

I'm starting to create content for education and commentary and I need to capture my screen video as well as an external audio source from a microphone along with the system audio, potentially on both OSX and Windows. Primarily it will be on my good ol' trusty Hackintosh running Mavericks, (until a hardware upgrade later this year, hopefully) so some more recent apps may not be accessible to me just yet. Without taking the main outputs of the audio interface into an external recorder or using multiple programs to hijack the internal audio signal, what are people using? Using multiple DAW's at the same time through one or even more audio interfaces also is more complicated than I think it should be. I know people are doing this all the time, and both me and some of my peers are trying to figure it out. Would Twitch work for this kind of application as well? Are any of you doing this kind of thing and what works best for you? Grateful for the help in advance.

New Laptop, control fan noise? (2in1 144hz?)
Chris V posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
Hey guys, Ill make it short. First off: thanks for taking the time. Thinking of buying a new laptop. I produce music, and make music videos too. I have a powerful desktop if things should get real sticky (that Ill use, say if things get laggy or should I require faster export times; or other example, mixing and mastering my songs). For work I use adobe acrobat, word, excel, outlook extensively and do note taking / reading on an ipad pro (10.5 120hz). Since Im used to having the latter, a high refresh rate, bright screen would be amazing. My plan is to just ditch all the devices I got now and get 1 object that just does it all and period. Im sick of moving data around and not finding notes or reminders, cause devices dont sync etc etc (or apps just log you out after an update; like outlook on iOS). What can you recommend? "dream" laptop - bright, high refresh rate, touch screen; pref 1080p or 1440p - optimally 2in1 design (for writing on the screen, like on paper) - powerful CPU (thinking of H series, with a Throttlestop "power saving" profile for when im not plugged in); preferrably new ryzen tho (cheaper / energy efficiency? I'd have to read up this topic though, so dont worry about intel/amd too much now) - dedicated GPU (1660 ti - 2060 ish? I would not go for max q, since I think it takes too much of a performance hit) - pen - good touchpad, and keyboard - solid IO - excellent cooling - that if I use like a "save energy" profile under windows / equivalent manual setting in Throttlestop - doesnt make any noise when idle (library) or when in DAW (recording vocals) You got any ideas? I greatly appreciate your time and help! Greetings, Chris -
What's up guys! I'm new to this forum! I am a music producer and I will be posting lots of music for years to come under the name of, <removed> Find me on YouTube, <removed> ------------> For now, let's just talk about music, DAWS, VST plugins and everything else! ?

So I started on Mac using Ableton and have used it for about 5 years. A little over a year ago I made the switch to PC through a discount gaming PC witch fairly decent specs. For the most part Ableton runs completely fine unless I add way too many VST's on the track and overload the CPU. However when it comes to scoring for video I have reached a terrible problem. I can add a video to any blank project and everything is fine. Once I come back and open that project or drop video into an existing project, things go belly up and Ableton crashes shortly after. I have reached out to Ableton support and they have told me to install special codecs but also that my NVidia graphics card has shown instability on several of there tests. I'm about to build a new PC around the $2,000 range and I would like to avoid this issue on this new build. Does anyone have any good information about what GPU is more compatible with Ableton? I also do a lot of video editing and casual gaming so a nice GPU is something I'm striving for. Desired parts: GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB Video Card CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 3.5 GHz 16-Core Processor Full Build Here: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Lorestrum/saved/#view=H6ht8d

PLEASE HELP. I NEED REAL GUIDANCE !!! IM fed all the way up w the bs. dude who built it dont answer anymore guess its to much trouble for him even tho he claimed any of his builds have 1 year warrenty. tried to upload pics before i posted this but im going to post it then get off n get back on to put pix up again. so i got this pc i had a guy build for me pretty cheap said i didnt care how it looked just about performance. that was ny 1st mistake but didnt thank id be here this soon all things not considered untill times like now where im stuck in the dark. i never have played any games at all on any of my computers/ or my phone. i dont care about surfing the internet on my main computer, i only need it to run 1-2 DAW like fl studio12 and a 10-25 processor hungry aftermarket vst plugins (vst2/vst3) i have. i do have copies of on my little 2tb my passport external hdd. i bought this damn machine he built about 3 months ago a guy thats local i contacted on a buy sell app was selling comp parts n i was lookin to have a "budget build" done asap but i also had some important issues i had to address with my finances so they were limited now their little to nothing in terms of income... fml... so a little over 580$ towards this comp he built and delivered to me which ran fine for a month & and a half then 1 day died and ever since that day ive been pullin my fuckin hair out stressed out because im no longer able to make music which is my passion my life and atm MY INCOME (cant make music = bills and shit up to my neck debt) . . so 1 day i am eating my dinner in my space and fl studio was open but i hadnt opened a project or started nothing at all because i was eating across the otherside of room well as soon as i sat down to start picking instruments out to complose a beat i noticed the strong odor of BURNING COPPER!! took a look inside the case from the vented side panel didnt see any smoke or fire but still smelled itso i went to shut down pc and before i could turn it off/unplug power supply. I heard a unknown noise i thought came from the desktop tower and all a sudden the picture on my screen went off in a fucked up pixelated/ matrix style looking crash type of way like it had been put in a blender... idk its given me nightmares n flashbacks ever since. the guy who built it came n swapped out motherboard, gfx card, n power supply once but we couldnt get it to boot windows soooo he came back next day again at my house for 4 hrs with me and brought his comp and more parts and swapped the mobo wit another board which is the red and black biostar in pictures. the green hp board is the 1 i bought after the biostar stopped working and did the shut off bs and and never came bk on. idk sumn is fucked up with sumn and idk what i did to deserve this but please God let this be over and by this i mean the issues w my setup and compter related problems cuz its killin me. all i want is my shit to work properly so i cant get back to working and persuing my passion this is beyond stressful in my position. im tooo behind on bills now and this is does nothing but pissin me off to the max and youtube is starting to make me jealous with all the tutorials of badass gaming rigs n all that bs i been paying attention to linus for a while now way before i built this pile of shit i call a computer but anyways . Idk what but i know from my previous exp. with this comp and with my much lower performance pcs in the past it should has handled the demanding plugins and software no prob. i also have a dinosaur that still runs that i saved from sum1 bout to pyt it ina dumpster and it still turns on and runs no prob makes no fucking since its a dell optiplex gx620 the big tower when i first got it it said the last time someone TURNED IT ON WAS 2006!!! so in my optinion i have a Hidden hardware issue somewhere i cant see idk but at this point im almost overwhelmed cuz know it ran fl studio12 perfect for a short 1.5 months it worked beyond great without any latency, lag or glitches at all!! so it shouldnt have any issues running any of it when it has done it before pluginss such as; refx-nexus2, the whole fabfilter bundle, omnisphere, & etc. i have tore down the machine and carefully reset all connectors or been troubleshooting for the past 3 months strait seems like and have rebuilt entire setup about 4+times proly more... ive bought a seperate mobo w same chipset and stilll no boot just solid greenlight on top right of mobo with new mobo... im lost n im fairly new to pc building but ive been working with fl studio since i was 13 i am now 30 my bday is in like fuckin 6 days and ive been on the verge of giving up since it quit working which will lead to a whole other list of problems. i need an expert to help because im lost since i did the mobo swap im temped to install the 1st

Current computer parts before i go into detail on what i do, i bet someone will guess after reading the part list. (Parts with "will keep" are parts i'm keeping for this build). LOOKING For STILL NEED ADVICE If i go with Gen 4.0 PCIE, would that make it so i can use more M.2 or PCIE 3.0 devices? For example if i use a m.2 to pcie slot x2, doesn't that take away from what my GPU can use? Like my CPU (AMD Ryzen 5 3600) has 20 lanes. The more m.2 drives i try to connect eat that up? If i overclock with 3600 RAM with great VRMs, how fast should i expect? After all the videos for overclocks, should i just use the auto OC? Should i focus on buying a cheaper motherboard and RAM and use that extra money for more towards more SSDs? It would make my life amazing easy with a 2TB SSD NVME.

Hi everyone! I'm a musician using Reaper for some amateur recording and mixing, as well as guitar amp/cabinet simulation so I can practice silently. I've discovered that when using ASIO within Reaper, to connect my interface, it takes full control of the sound within Windows. This means no other sound can play through Windows while Reaper is open. I would love to solve this so that I can play to backing tracks, talk to friends while I mix, etc. I was thinking that a solution would be a virtual mixer for outputs within Windows. Reaper can be set to any of my physical outputs, not just what Windows itself is set to. This means I can set Windows to my headphones, and Reaper to my laptop's speakers, and they can both work simultaneously. Is there a way within software (rather than buying a physical mixer) that I could route one output into another, so it could all come through one physical source? I've found some software mixers, but they all appear to only be for inputs. If this isn't possible, I'd love to hear any other suggestions for fixing my issue. Thanks!

I have run down most of the website but don't have an exact answer for control surface for Davinci Resolve. I am trying to find a console that will let me control the fader in Resolve Fairlight page. I am wondering does budget control system like nanoKONTROL2 or nanoKONTROL Studio works with it? Is there any alternative fader control unit?

Hey guys, do any of you have any suggestions/pointers (i.e. CPU of choice, how much RAM) to a total noob who's looking to build a PC for music production. I'll be running Ableton and will probably looking to do some light gaming on the system down the line. Thanks for the help!

I know this thread exists everywhere, however they are all a little dated, and I'm mainly concerned in regards for the R7 2700X. Anyone part of the AMD squad who sees this and uses a DAW to produce (mainly Ableton and FL), please lmk on how its running for you. I understand that Intel's faster single core performance is extremely beneficial and makes it the overall king for music production, but is AMD really as bad as some make it to be? Some examples, latency issues, stability issues, no thunderbolt interface, etc. Any info is appreciated.

Trying to finally set up my home studio in a halfway decent way. I have Presonus Studio One 3 as my DAW and im pretty sure i like it. I also have the Presonus audiobox USB and ya know it works fine but i wanted something a bit more substantial so the other day at the local music shop i bought a Peavey PV 6 mixer. I played with it for a wile before plugging it into my PC and i like it, but now im trying to get it to work with Studio one and it just wont. I can get it sort of set up and get sound coming out of it but i cant get anything from the mixer to the PC. Is it just completely incompatible or what? It dosent actually show up i have to use the windows system setup and select it for record and playback, but when i go into song setup i only ever see two inputs i think the ones from my audiobox. Should i just take this mixer back?

Trying to get this new rig working properly and I'm pulling my hair out at this point. Building a DAW/gaming rig. The primary use of this rig is to run Ableton Live 10, Pro Tools, Studio One and some other music related stuff, along with some casual gaming. Most of my work is done within Ableton and that is my biggest concern. I am having an issue getting Ableton to run. Throws a generic crash dialog with no code. "A Serious Error has Occurred..." Here is what I have done so far and I'm baffled. -4 reinstalls of Windows 8.1 (one via DVD, three via USB) -Way too many reinstalls of Ableton and Microsoft .Net Framework -Update Windows -Update BIOS -Replace MOBO and update BIOS -Replace CPU -Swapped in the System Drive SSD (SATA) from my currently functional AMD rig (booted up fine but threw the same error) -Try each stick of memory, individually, in different channels. -Different GPU -Cry a lot Specs: ASUS Prime Deluxe X299 7900x Thermaltake 360mm AIO with fans in push-pull 32GB (4x8GB) Ballistix Sport 2666 Rosewill Xtreme 80plus Bronze 750w (had a brand new one laying around, old but unused) Nvidia 1060 (also tried an old R7 360) Samsung 870 Evo 500GB M.2 NVME (system drive) WD Blue M.2 SSD 1TB (having an issue now with this drive not being seen, even in the bios and disk manager) WTF am I missing here? This setup should be totally overkill for Ableton.
