when i upgraded from S4 mini to S7 i was kinda bummed out that my MOGA pocket controller was known not to work with it. So i dumped a copy of LineageOS onto my S4 mini, flashed gapps, installed the moga software and downloaded modern combat 4 from the playstore, knowing full well that this game worked perfectly well with the controller on my S4 mini, but it refuses to work. The only variable is that its now running LineageOS, whereas before it was running it's (ableit heavily modified and rooted) stock ROM. Does anyone know how to get this working ? Or failing that, anyone know how to flash a stock android ROM back onto a phone, like a proper proper proper factory reset ?

I've really screwed the pooch on this one. OK so I didn't have access to a computer at the time and I remembered I had the installation file of linageos on my external SD card so I decided to have a whack at it. I booted into cyanogen mod's recovery and decided to side load it, to see if it worked, it didn't (of course). I then (like an idiot) wiped my entire partition to install linage OS, I was once again greeted by an error message. I now have no operating system, ADB doesn't work, debugging isn't enabled, and any os I try to install with my removable SD fails. What I need help with is installing TWRP with no operating system and, no working ADB, and no debug mode.

Can i update my device from CM11 to CM12 without a wipe?

Just installed CM 13 on my device (A galaxy S duos 2 - GT s7582) everything works just fine but the battery does not charge. I tried everything from AC to USB but it just shows that it's charging and is stuck at 3%. The phone does charge when turned off but not when it's on so it is for sure a software error. Any possible fixes?

At least, that's how I understood it. I'm glad they decided to try something a bit different. If they kept on going in that direction with McMaster, Cyanogen would've been vaporized. Question, I want to get cyanogenmod on my gs6, but I need help. It's actually pretty straight forward...but, I'm wondering if this is worth it...also, as far as warranty goes...I already tried to get samsung to replace it but they are straight re-tarts...so not too worried about that, on account of not having any. Questions are as follows: How to install it (I have a vague idea from what I've read)? Risks? Worth it? Is it?: considering the bloated samsung-ness of it all... thanks for the help guys.

So I just got Cyanogenmod 13 only to find that it comes with numerous pre-installed apps. I knew I was going to use googles apps, so I just uninstalled them with titanium backup. I must've screwed up somewhere along the line, because now my contacts are gone. They're synced with my google account, and they are still there (I can veiw them on my computer). But they don't show up in the Google contacts app and they aren't there for my text conversations. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the app, logging out and then back in (Of my google account) and restoring things via titanium backup, all with no avail. There has to be a solution to this, as google does still have my contacts. A second problem, I can't seem to get rid of CM's contacts app. Titanium backup and a few other uninstallers I've tried haven't worked. Help please Edit: I just found out that if you bring the CM contacts app to the app info tab it asks if you want to replace it with the stock app. If you say yes, it automatically uninstalls. Genius. I wish I found this sooner. Edit: I just found that I have no sync abilities for contacts at all. When I check my account for things I can sync contacts isn't an option. I need to find a way to get contacts sync-able again. Edit: Solved. I downloaded the google contact sync APK and enabled it to work by giving it permission, now it's fine.

My dad's work provides him smartphones (verizon) and he got an upgrade to a GS6 and he had a GS4. I have a Moto G (2nd Gen) and realized (about 6 months after his upgrade) that his phone has support for the T-Mobile bands and has a sim card slot. This being an upgrade for me (better processor, camera, screen, 4g, nfc, 5ghz, etc) I wanted to use this phone. I have no issue with getting my sim card to work (adding the apn and changing the in-phone setting to gsm) however, the last supported version of android is 5 lollipop which I would much prefer to have android 6 for the battery life and less bloat ware (thanks touchwiz). So I did a quick google search to find that you can install cyanogenmod 13 (android 6) on the GS4! I was able to complete the task of rooting the phone, something that i'm new too. However on unlocking the boot-loader i found out (correct me if i'm wrong) that there are only workarounds for the Verizon version of the phone. So I go and attempt to install twrp through Goo-manager to discover their servers no longer work... Next attempt was with Twrp Manager and this succeeded until you reboot the phone to give you an error that the phone cannot start. I was able to avoid this by plugging in my usb cord while the phone was off and booting into android.(also got this error when attempting to boot into recovery) However this leaves us at no progress. So I seeked a less user-friendly way of installing twrp by using a program called Odin however this leaves this. On the phone is says. It has some text before that says write protection enabled but searching on google people have this and still can install things through Odin. and NO i dont have reactivation lock enabled I would like to have cyanogenmod 13 (nightly) on my GS4 but get stuck at getting twrp installed because of Verizon's security on the device.

Hi! I've recently installed CM13 on my LG G2 D802 and I sadly found out that it doesn't connect to Eduroam (educational wi-fi with PEAP authentication). I was tired of my LG G PAD V410 being on android 4.4.4. I stumbled across Cyanogenmod 13 which would install Android 6.0 onto the tablet. So in order I, Downloaded CyanogenMod 13 Downloaded Gapps.zip file for Android Marshmallow. Copy all .zip files to the storage Installed TWRP Recovery on G Pad. Booted into recovery using Flashify hit wipe, cache, data, and dalvik cach. Installed CM13 and Gapps using TWRP recover. Then I rebooted and it started "optimizing apps" It got to around 126 of 186 and then it went into a loop that says "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped." then I hit ok and it loops it. So now I am stuck in a boot loop. So now I tried to do a hard reset with my device, but I cannot seem to get there. I googled it and it says to hold your power down and power button and the recovery screen will pop up but it takes me into regular boot. I am frustrated now because I think I have bricked the device. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I have an Amazon Fire Phone that I rooted with CyanogenMod meaning it is now an Android phone instead of a FireOS phone. Snapchat doesn't access my camera properly, meaning the camera doesn't seem to work with that particular app at all. What should I do? Try another Android OS mod? Thanks for any help you can give.

Hello there, I had my Oneplus One rooted a few month ago and today i finally decided to unroot to update the OS. After unrooting with SuperSU I tried to update but while rebooting to update TWRP booted and didn't let me update. So i downloaded the latest cyanogenmod from cyanogenmod.org to flash it with twrp. I reallly am a noob when it Comes to mobile devices, rooting etc, so i downloaded "Latest Release recovery" because when booting it says recovery :rolleyes: i feel kinda dumb while saying this Anyways not knowing what to do i flashed the Image to boot using twrp and after restarting the cyanogen recovery boots, but nothing else. How do i boot the System? And how do i updated now? I tried "Apply update" in cyanogen Recovery but it only takes .zip files or something like that and i only have the .img and i can't get the zip from my pc to my phone because Windows does not identify my phone as something it just says something went wrong when i try to connect via usb I know it was bad to do something i don't know anything about at all and i dont think i will root my phone ever again, because it takes so much effort and knowledge to do an update. hey guys! so my friend gave me his old note 2, but the problem is that its an unlocked phone from china mobile. I can call and everything works fine except for the 4g on my T-Mobile Network. I was wondering if i flashed CyanogenMod and gave it google apps, that it'll start to work b/c CM updates the modem too? I can't seem to find a CM or any mod for that phone though, so do you guys know of any mods? Also, this phone doesnt have a Snapdragon, so will this change anything? Thanks!

I installed the latest CM12.1 release for my Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 and it fixed some issues I was experiencing on CM10 stable so I want to stick with it but Google Apps is not working? I have no play store or any google apps, I tried installing the Gapps for CM12.1 but the install process always fails. ROM: cm-12.1-20150801-NIGHTLY-i9100.zip Gapps: gapps-5.1-arm-2015-07-17-13-29.zip I'm using CWM Recovery & I also tried installing with the new Cyanogenmod Recovery that you can enable in developer options both fail.

So I feel like Google is holding back informations. I surprisingly can't find clear instructions on how to update to Cyanogenmod Nightlies. All that I found were complicated Rooting - Recovery - Flash - kind of Guides and I am really confused by them. I have a Oneplus One currently rocking CM12.0 (Android 5.0.2). During the Rollout of CM12.0 on all Oneplus Ones, I found a guide on how to skip the rollout queue by manually applying the update. It was super easy. I just had to download the update file go into recovery and select the .zip file to update the device. Can I do the same with the Nighly files? I just can't find Information about this via Google .. Excuse my newbyness ,(._.,)

Hello, I need some assistance. Yesterday, I flashed CM 12.1 on my Google Nexus 5. It works like a charm, however there is this one app "mSecure" that won't install no matter what. I got this fairly expensive app from the Amazon App Shop for free and used it without any problems before I flashed Cyanogenmod. Previously I used Paranoid Android with Android 5.0.1, now I'm using 5.1.1 What can I do to fix this problem? I have the data backed up by the way, but I forgot to use TitaniumBackup to save the apk. HI, I love Lollipop on my OPO but I hate the battery life I get. So I wanted to flash back CM 11s and wait for CM 12s to be released officially. SO I want to flash the ROM from this place:https://cyngn.com/products/oneplusone/ annd 1. I don't know which one to download and 2. Do I just flash it using TWRP like a normal ROM?

Just to be clear, this is my first real review. I'm not sure how good I am at it. Introduction & Background Since OnePlus is doing another open sale tomorrow night, and because I've used the One for enough time to review it, I figured I would write my thoughts on it. Prior to buying the One, I had an iPhone 4, which I had for 2 years and decided I wanted something big and relatively inexpensive. My dad was lucky enough to snatch two of them up in the last open sale. Unboxing and First Impressions The packaging is really premium, clean and minimalistic, with just a OnePlus logo on the outside and a red pull tab. The power brick is packaged by itself in a smaller matching box, I assume to keep the clean and premium feel. In the main box is the One, the flat anti-tangle USB charger (which I'll talk about in the Accessories section below) and dedicated SIM tray tool, which is amazing since I don't like to use paper clips. My first thoughts when handling the device were that it was big, and that it was very light and had nice weight distribution. I also liked the rounded back and "sandstone" textured plastic. It doesn't feel like it's $350. Design & Build Quality: 9/10 The One's design is beautiful. I personally like soft touch/textured plastic better than aluminum, glass or glossy plastic because it adds grip, and the One's back doesn't disappoint. The rounded back helps with ergonomics, and its slightly rounded top and bottom help it to stand out over the rounded rectangles that are pretty much every other smartphone. The power button is in the place where my thumb naturally rests (though I am tall and have large-ish hands), though I kept hitting the lower volume button whenever I pressed the power button when using the One one handed. I turned on Double Tap to Wake and Double Tap Status Bar to Sleep, so between those and my flip case (see Accessories) I hardly ever hit the power button anymore. The notification LED is really convenient, and the ability to customize its color, pluse rate and such is cool. My only gripes, and the two reasons for the 9/10 rating, are that the MicroUSB port is curved like the bottom of the phone, so the connector feels loose and is wobbly. It doesn't fall out, and it actually takes a bit of force to remove it, but it looks like it will. Also, I don't like the raised screen from a durability point of view. It looks really nice, but I'm not sure how well it'd fare if dropped on its face. The screen itself is amazing, though, and it's definitely noticeably higher-resolution than my iPhone 4. Performance: 10/10 The 2.4GHz (2,457MHz) Snapdragon 801 performs great, especially with the 3GB of RAM. I love not having to reload an app or tab every time I leave it and come back, and I've never encountered any lag. Animations are snappy. Is there really anything else to say? Camera: 7/10 The rear camera is, frankly, crap. The pictures look grainy and noisy, and the stock camera app is horrible. I don't take pictures with my phone (I have a DSLR for when the moment deserves a picture, otherwise I don't need to document every second of my life. No one cares what I ate for lunch), but YMMV. turned on RAW and pictures look much better, though I think I will still try the app mentioned directly below. Updated ranking. There is hope, however. I have a hunch that most of my complaints about the camera can be fixed with an app called Manuel Camera, which inserts Manuel Noriega into any picture you take Manual Camera. It appears to let you tweak every aspect of your photos, like ISO (which I suspect is making the photos grainy). It requires 5.0., though, which is supposed to come next month. The front camera is great. But really, why do you need to: A) Take selfies? B) Take 5MP selfies? Are you going to make posters? If you said yes, you need help. OS: 9.5/10 I choose to use unrooted CM11S, with Nova Laucher on top. Battery Life: great, I usually get 6.5 hours of screen on time and 17-19 hours total. Compared to my iPhone's 1.5 hours of screen on time and >4 hours total, this is amazing. Stability: it's just as stable as my iPhone, which is to say only needed to reboot once and only crashed once in the <3 weeks that I've had it. I do get the "Unfortunately, Exchange Services has Stopped" error every once and a while, but that's a minor inconvenience. Security: there are some cool security features, like Privacy Guard, which lets you limit what apps can use what data, and Whisper Push, which encrypts your SMSs. Keyboard: Google Keyboard is really cool. It looks nice and has some nice functionality, like swiping to type. And cursor controls are the best thing since sliced bread, I can't emphasize this enough. The phone bits: no one uses this, but if you still do, or it's an emergency, call quality is fine but not outstanding. Accessories Black OnePlus Flip case: The $14.99 OnePlus One Flip Case is nice, it looks premium but doesn't really feel the part. It covers the notification LED, which is annoying, but the ability to wake/sleep the device with just the flap is SUPER convenient. It adds some bulk, which makes crouching/sitting/running uncomfortable. I'd rate 8/10 OnePlus Tempered Glass Screen Protector: It doesn't affect screen sensitivity, color or brightness, is a little more reflective. What more do you want? 10/10. OnePlus Flat Power Cable: This cable is awesome. It's flat and doesn't tangle, the color scheme is very aesthetically pleasing and it has that cool USB end thing. The white cable holder thing is great for people like me who bring their cables places. 10/10. Conclusion/TL;DR This device is great, and I would buy it again. The design is amazing, CM11S fixes pretty much every gripe I had with stock Android and battery life is phenominal. The camera is bad, but might be able to be fixed in 5.0./CM12S. OVERALL RATING: 9/10 Pictures

So after breaking my third iPhone, I am stuck with a Motorola Droid 4 and it is slow as sh*t. And after finding out about roms and looking into it, I am came to ask- Is it worth the time to install CyanogenMod on my Droid 4, and if so, will it giving more any performance gain (or loss).
