Hello, I built my PC in october 2020 with brand new parts and about a 2 weeks ago I upgraded CPU cooling from air to AIO and case from SilentiumPC to Phanteks P500A also brand new, I don't want to buy anything second handed. But last few days my PC randomly freezes and after few seconds it turns off and on, but not like restarting, fans, lights from fans and everything turns off and after few seconds it turns on. Today it happened 2 times when playing Phasmofobia with my friends. It did not happen in any other game. And today I noticed extremely high Total Host Writes on HDD which I have in the system (see screenshot) but it works fine, I don't have any problems with it and it does not sound any strange. And second thing I noticed is that GLCKIO2 is causing some error, I saw that some malware can be hidden in it, but I'm not clicking on any "You won iPhone 12 Pro" AD or any ads like this or random links. And I have official license on Eset Antivirus. Ok I recently upgraded the Graphics card of my PC from a GTX 1050ti to a RTX 2070 super. On the initial upgrade everything ran fine, but I ran into a bit of hang up. I was left with only one HDMI port on the graphics card, so I decided to install the GTX back in to act as 2nd hdmi port for my 2nd monitor. Now, I keep getting the "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key" message. I've triple checked all of my connections, went into the BIOS to see if the SSDs and HDD are being read (and they are...) but I still can't get it to boot! Can someone please help me?! GPU Is it better to get a RTX 2060 Super instead and spend the money on other components like RAM and Storage for this particular workload? Would i be giving up a lot of performance in doing so? MOTHERBOARD The sole reason for buying an X570 Motherboard is because I can have the option to upgrade to a 4th Gen Ryzen CPU in the future. I want to know what other cheaper alternative I have if I decide to stick to the Ryzen 5 3600X/3600 CPUs, because then I wouldn't have to necessarily stick to a X570 Motherboard RAM - Which one's better for a 3200 MHz RAM? Corsair LPX Vengeance or G.SKill Ripjaws V? - For ML/DL workload, is it better to go for 32 GB (2x16GB) 2666 MHz RAM? SSD & HDD - Does choosing a 5400 RPM drive compromise a significant amount of performance as compared to the 7200 RPM? - Or should I get a 256 GB SSD and spend money on a 7200 RPM HDD instead? - Is it necessary to go for a M.2 NVMe drive, or can I also go for a 2.5" SATA based SSD? PSU Is 750 Watt too much for a power supply? So this is probably a bad idea I know, but I'm gutting my craptop because its old and slow and I want to rebuild it. Its pretty big and thick. I'm mounting my fan case for additional width making it 2" thick and 15" to 17" wide. So I'm starting off hunting a low profile mother board. It needs to have HDMI out, USB 3.0, Ram support for at least 16 gigs, Support for an I7 Cpu, and support for an External Graphics card. Dedicated audio out and in would be a bonus. Support for my laptops soon to be touchscreen a must. I don't know much about building PCs. I helped build one once when I was a kid and I watched a bunch of youtube on the subject (Mostly linus tech tips of course). Hello everyone, About a month ago, I ordered a custom build gaming pc at my local hardware and software store (specs below) I have only played it to test it's performance and I noticed it was vastly under performing on several games, even tho the build scored really high on benchmarks. I have an "older" gaming pc to compare to (specs also below) which performs way better then my new build, which is kind of upsetting for the price, when I sent the rig back to the store for the first time I got an email saying the RTX2080ti (msi) had overheated and was basically rendered broken because of it, even tho I spend Less then 4h (not straight) on the pc testing games like Ac 3 remastered and battlefield V (which was marketed for the RTX series after all) I didn't do anything to it other then that. So they replaced my card with a brand new one, after receiving the pc again, and installing it at home the problem appeared to be the same, so we went back and got referred to a small business that builds Pc's and was in direct contact with MSI. So we looked at every aspect of the pc and found out that the screen was one big culprit already, It's an Acer predator with build in G-sync and 240 Hz. after changing the screen with a non gaming one with 60Hz, the pc seemed to perform a lot better but still not as expected and still had lot's of lag in games like bfv And ac 3 remastered, so they ordered another replacement card because we saw that the card became burning hot (which was not normal apparently) Now guess what, the PC is still performing way worse then my older rig so something has to be wrong here unless I've been scammed by MSI-NVIDIA and INTEL for buying their hardware. Please if you could help me out here, I've been stuck now for several weeks not figuring this issue out with multiple people, and the rig cost me €5000 (which was more then half of my savings) I also did the bottleneck test on PCbuilds and it recommended a second RTX 2080ti because the processor is way to powerfull for it. Could it be that simple? If there's anything information wise you need to help me please ask and I'll try and provide it for you! I changed the cpu to the correct socket type and changed the video card. To make things clear, the aio cooler is exandable and I am going to add the graphics cards into the loop. So hey guys! I've been searching alot about custom PCs and on how to build them. This is my plan/road to making my own custom build (kinda) gaming PC. My budget : 800€ / 900€ (890 to 1000 USA dollars) i live in europe. This doesn't include the price of the monitors, mouse and keyboard. My aim : My PC will mostly be used for gaming: (Loads of) CS:GO Skyrim and many others (like Watchdogs, l.a noire and some others...) I will also use it for some (light/fun) video editing for youtube (I might start doing some montages of csgo gameplay, but im not quite sure yet. ), I will also do school work and other kind of 'serious business' but not too much. I will be using 2, 1080p, monitors and yeah... I dont really know. I haven't figured a case for myself, but I'd like it to be on the table instead of like the usual place which is under, so it can be a microATX (I know its the term for motherboards but I just can't remember the name) format , but Im probably gonna stick with a ATX MIDTower. My plan (could need some tips) So I've done most of my research with pcpartpicker.com and youtube, and this is what I basically have in mind = CPU - for the CPU, I was thinking about getting an intel i5. Motherboard - I have literally no idea, i just think it needs to be ATX and be compatible with like the graphics card and the CPU .. I dont really know. Should be around : 80 - 130€ RAM - im getting 2×8GB Ram. Should be around: 50 - 75€ GPU - so this is probably one of the most important part of my build and I ended up with 2(3) cards after researching - radeon r9 380 (or the NVIDIA GeForce gtx 970 (or 960). Should be around : 200 - 250€ Im gonna be having 1TB, hard-drive, of space and yeah... Idk. Should be around : 40 -55€ My power needed according to pcpartpicker should be like i guess 400W but that sounds really. Im not sure (link to my pcpartppcpartpicker later) should be around: 50 - 75€ Like I said I have no idea what case I want, I know I want it to look nice, and not like one of those grey/black cases or like a normal pc you'd have in school or something, I'd like something kinda futuristic or just something not super generic (like the 'CORSAIR 200R ATX mid-tower' which looks like an upgraded version of the computer cases I had in my secondary), and preferably something with a side panel (not quite sure tho). Should be around : 50 - 100€ As for the CPU cooler, I'm not sure it should be around : 20-45€ Help and tips would be greatly appriciated! I've used a mac for the past 7 years but I want to switch to a custom windows machine & I'm doing the part selection for my first build. My budget is around 3,000 (I could maybe go slightly higher). I'm going to use it mostly for work (my day job is video production) and gaming. Here is a link to what I have so far on PcPartPicker (note the PSU is just a fill in at the moment. I also wouldn't turn down any other general critiques of my current parts picked. I really appreciate any advice/help with this!
