I have an LG ultragear 144hz monitor, model number 27GL650F, and recently because Valorant had a different resolution Windows started bugging out and not opening the window of the game my guess being because the OS was conflicting between the game resolution and the OS resolution this hadn't happened before and Valorant worked just fine in a resolution different from the OS. I had to give up trying to open Valorant in that resolution and once the game changed itself back to 1920x1080 it started opening the window again. The thing is the monitor settings got bugged by all that constant changing and sometimes it doesn't let me even change my monitor resolution and scale like it doesn't recognize it, that repairs itself, but now when in 1920x1080 my cursor has like a yellow layer over the actual color of the cursor and I don't know why. I'm on a notebook, and even when extending or duplicating the display it stays with this layer over the cursor in the LG monitor, when I'm duplicating the other display shows the correct color for the cursor and the LG doesn't, even when I share my screen on discord it shows the correct color, only when I change the resolution to any other on the LG it goes back to the original color. Does anybody have an idea what may be causing this?

I'll describe what happened to me: So I had Firefox and Apex Legends open and I was alt tabbing between the two like every two seconds because I was opening new tab and writing in firefox while queuing for ranked in the game. And suddenly, idk how that happened, but I clicked in Firefox typed and everything than I switch to Apex, and click and boom the game minimizes, any mouse click even a middle click caused the game to minimize, I returned with alt tab always. Taskbar, wasn't responding to mouse click, windows key works, the buttons in windows key bar don't work. Desktop didn't work. Firefox.............. for some reason was completely fine. The thing is, Task Manager..... didn't respond to clicks either, not even mouse hovering. Also in the game I could use keyboard and move, and I could see mouse glitched at the center of the screen, escape in game for menu and clicking anything minimized the game aswell. Closing Apex, TM and Firefox didn't fix it either, had to restart my PC.... Anyone know what happened?

Heya. I've got a 2010 iMac running high sierra, with the original magic mouse and keyboard which work without any issues. However, when using a wired mouse (an old Mad Catz rat 7), MacOS seems to only update the cursor location whenever any of the mouse buttons are pressed. The position of the cursor will be visually updated when moving the mouse around, but (for example) any clickable links under the cursor will not be highlighted unless the position is (for lack of better words) manually updated. This includes the detection of the cursor down at the dock, causing it not to pop up when I move the cursor near it (unless I click/drag down to the dock, then it will register the cursor's position there). The issue seems to persist when I connect both the magic mouse and wired mouse at the same time, and it disappears whenever I disconnect the wired mouse. Has anyone else had this problem before? Is there an (easy) fix for it? System specs: iMac 27-Inch (Mid-2010) CPU: I5-760 RAM: 8GB DDR3 / 1067MHz GPU: Radeon HD 5750 OS: MacOS 10.13.6 (High Sierra)

Update Turns out it was GSync. While GSync is active, the cursor drops to 10ish FPS while hovering over any 'not active' windows. Problem is gone completely with deactivated GSync. As a workaround I set up GSync to only activate with games. I still don't know if it's the CPU, GPU or Monitor tho. __________________ Hey there! Looking for someone with similiar problems, potential causes, and a fix. I experience horrible lag while moving the cursor over certain program windows. The bevahior is compareable to very low FPS. Examples: moving the cursor around in Cinebench (as soon as the cursor isn't over CB anymore, but on Windows, everything is smooth - CB Scores are really good anyways) same with Ryzen Master, Gigabyte App Center, ... Adobe Programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, ...) work perfectly smooth. As soon as I hover the cursor over the settings menu at the top, the lag happens. Lag stops as soon as the cursor isn't above the menu bar anymore. Windows and all the mentioned programs are located on the same M.2 SSD. Notes: The system is newly built Windows is fresh installed Divers are up to date Benchmarks are -very- good Temperatures are as expected Lag doesnt happen in games (different SSD) System: Ryzen 5900x Rtx 3080 FE Gigabyte B550 Vision D 4 sticks Trident Z 3600-16 B-Die @3600 Corsair AX1000 GSync Monitor @ 144Hz Everything at stock except XMP, FLKC (1800) Thanks for any input! This wonky behavior is driving me nuts :[

Forgive me I'm a total noob but this is my laptop:- AMD Ryzen 5 3550H GFX 2.10GHz 16gig Ram Windows home 10 64bit I know this may seem small to some however I suffer from a little OCD which then types my anxiety through the roof and I don't think I can take this much longer without at least trying to find a way to change it. The laptop is great apart from this sentence cursor (I don't even know what this line is called "|" that flashes as your idle before typing) flashes in the bottom left corner of the screen when the screen is dark there or in full view while watching YouTube or a movie. I have attached a screenshot, I tried to Google for it but I couldn't find anything ><. As I said I am a complete noob so please be gentle with me lol.

Hello everyone, as i have a 120 Hz capable screen i turn frame skip off in teraria to play at 120 fps. But i have this weird issue where my game runs at 120 fps but the mouse is only as smooth as when the game runs at 60 fps. I can actually see in the motion of he cursor on my screen that it is actually only at 60 hz, while the rest of the game is running on 120. The input lag is also noticeably higher than on desktop usage when it is actually running at 120 Hz. I never had this issue in any other game. Either the cursor is running at the fps of the game or there is a "Hardware Cursor" feature which unties it from the game's fps. Is there any workaround?

Okay, so I'll start off by saying i have two separate HDDs... The first I put Linux Mint XFCE on, about 3 months ago. It is a 1 TB Western Digital 7200 rpm Hard Drive. The Second I recently added Windows 10 to. It is a 80 GB (it's like 5 years old) Seagate 7200 rpm Hard Drive. Before I added Windows 10, my Linux Mint hard drive (which is brand new btw), was working and booting perfectly fine, however, when I added Windows to my other hard drive (which previously has Linux Elementary, which also booted just fine), I had no access to the other hard drive in the file manager, and I could find no way to mount to it. When I rebooted, and tried to boot into the Linux Mint hard drive, it came up with a black screen, with a blinking white cursor (underscore, or whatever you prefer... This "_"). Now I let this screen sit for over 10 minutes, but nothing. So here's what I've done... I ran linux on a live usb, and managed to open, and edit files in the hard drive, so I know my data is not lost. In fact, in a worst case scenario, I can simply copy all my files to an external hard drive, and only lose my software, settings and preferences, drivers, etc. However that is not at all optimal, but it's better than losing 2 years of hard work. So yeah, any ideas on how to get rid of the problem? (Note, this is not my image, but it is the same screen I'm getting...)

Hi, i recently bought a Acer T232HL its a 23" touch screen monitor. I have a multi-monitor setup 3 in total 1 144hz g-sync 28" main display, a top mounted vizio 32" and a left arm mounted Touchscreen the Acer T232HL. I have gone into touch settings and setup the touchscreen monitor with no problem, but my issue is that when i touch the monitor it moves the cursor off my main display the gaming one, which has me currently dragging my mouse around. I would love a fix for this as this is apart my current setup. I hope to be able to play a game in the center and play say hearthstone or another touch game on the left side with out interupting my flow on the current display. All help will be greatly greatly appreciated and goggle searches failed. TL;DR my touch monitor Acer T232HL is stealing my cursor from main display while not gaming and gaming, causing me to move my mouse cursor back to continue working. I have gone in touchpad settings and did the hit enter till touch screen setup. also tried updating, uninstalling driver.

Hi I've had the Razer Deathadder Chroma for about 3 years. A few months ago the cursor started getting stuck and the scroll wheel started registering twice when I clicked it. At first I thought it was a problem with drivers. I uninstalled the drivers and installed the newest one available but the issue remained. Then I thought that something inside the mouse is broken but after trying out the mouse on my laptop I realised that none of the glitching happened. Can anyone help? Hey, I'm using Linux on my Laptop, and I wanted to change my pointercursor, but I couldn't find any how-to's that fit my situation. I've just read that I need the GNOME control center, but I can't find it on my Harddrive and I haven't found any at least partially legit looking sources. Anybody able to help?

Hey guys, So, I've been using my multiple 4K panels setup for quite a few years now. However, I've always had it at 150% UI scaling in Windows 10. So, today I decided to go down to 125% in favor of having more real estate on my screen to see more, and while I'm working on getting used to the smaller sizes of all-things-around, one of the main thing bugging me is the mouse pointer. As you can see above, apart from 'Pulse Glass' and 'Crystal Clear v3.1 - Original', those are all the default options and by choice I have been using the XL option of the pointers so far. Now, I obviously can't find anything larger than that from that section so I was wondering if there are any tricks and tips to increase the size of same pointer from registry files, or if you guys have any preferred third-party pointer that I can download and use which is bigger in size, but also doesn't look obnoxious? I like the simple Windows Default pointer in Windows 10 so I'd prefer if I can simply increase the size of it, if possible. But if not, I'll be willing to use any minimalist-esque third-party pointer if they look simple like the Windows Default pointer. Any pointer in this regard will be highly appreciated. -pun intended Thank you.

The problem is as follows: I have an old PC without peripherals standing in the corner. (only connected via ethernet). I would like to control said old PC from my main machine (for things like renderfarming, 'outsourcing' storage and so on). Using Google Chrome Remote I could easily remote control the old PC... IF there was a cursor. I suppose it doesn't show because I boot the old PC wihtout an actual mouse attached. Also, maybe there is a better way than Chrome Remote, perhaps one that goes directly via network and not online? (both PCs are running Windows 10). All help is much appreciated! Thank y'all!

So, I seem to have a small, yet obnoxious problem with my cursor during gaming. I haven't seen any problems related to mine, bu I've seen many that are similar. My cursor seems to passively move to my second monitor (left) while I'm playing games. It doesn't do anything to affect my game when I click, but when I use my scroll wheel it scrolls up and down the page I have open on my second monitor. I've tried using DualMonitorTools and it did nothing to fix my issue. It only started happening recently, so I'm not entirely sure what I did to make it do this because it used to only happen with Fallout New Vegas. Now it happens with all of my games. I can scroll up and down in a webpage on my second monitor while currently playing a game on my primary monitor. Anyone know anything? If I need to I can record a video of what's happening and post it.

Today I installed Speedfan, every time I open the software, my cursor can't move, both with my trackpoint (the red dot on thinkpads which moves the cursor) and my trackpad. It only stops once I restart my computer.

Hi, I've recently started using my Wacom again and I've gone ahead and reinstalled the drivers. Everything works fine, but when I use the pen to move the cursor the pointer/photoshop brush etc goes invisible. I move my mouse and it re-appears. Any ideas?

Hi everybody! Here is the issue I've been having: The PC in my parents' house all of a sudden started having problems with the mouse cursor. More specifically the cursor moves in almost a zig-zag motion when you try to follow a straight line..it also moves much slower than before (I needed to up the dpi level quite higher than before). The problem is so bad that the pc is unusable! After testing I realised this only happens with wired mice no matter which usb port I choose to connect them to (I already checked the mice and they're fully working on other PCs). I tried reinstalling drivers even a fresh windows 10 installation but no luck! My wired mouse used to work just fine with the same OS and hardware..I'm afraid the problem lies in some hardware (I'd say cpu or motherboard) defect! The PC is quite old with a modded lga 775 mobo and an E5450 Xeon (custom latest bios) and a gtx 760 This however shouldnt be a problem since like I said it used to work just fine even in windows 10! Any ideas would be much appreciated! I would really like to avoid upgrading the platform till a few years down the line.. Thanks in advance! PS. For now I've resorted to using a wireless mouse wich seems to work fine but it's of much lower quality than my wired one

Hey guys i've got this problem with my PC,hope you guys could help me with it,i'll list down the spec below- So i've got myself a Lenovo ideapad 320 with 8GB RAM 2TB internal hard drive intel core i5 8th Gen GPU - AMD Radeon(TM) 530 - Discrete/Hybrid VRAM - 4096 MB - GDDR5 1000 MHz I've had my computer for about a year and a half now and this issue started acting up about a year ago and ive tried doing all sorts of things to solve it from updating all my drivers to reinstalling windows but sadly enough i haven't seen an end to it yet Well onto to the issue now, the thing is for some reason the system boots up much slower than usual and then when it finally boots up i cant seem to find the mouse anywhere even though i keep swiping the touchpad but it does pop up when i press on any key does not have to be a specific one just anyone will do the trick and then outta nowhere the cursor starts to freeze in place and gets unstuck when once again i hit any key on my keyboard i don't know what's wrong with it i tried checking the trackpad driver and all that stuff but nothing seems to be wrong with it AND NOW onto the real issue when ever i try to play any Audio or Video the thing starts to stutter as in i can the see the play button going play and pause really fast like when you press down on your space button while watching youtube or something the thing keeps happening quite sporadically, it kinda just happens randomly and once again whenever i click a key it goes back to normal only to start acting up again I hope that someone would help me find a solution for this cuz trust me when i say this it starts to tick you off when you gotta deal with it on a daily basis Thank you, hope ya'll have a nice day

So I just recieved my XPS 13 (I5-8250U, 8GB, 256GB, 1080p) 9370 yesterday and I noticed a problem with the mouse not so much lagging but stuttering and jumping whenever I move it. I've also noticed that this issue only occurs after using the laptop for a duration of time, not always When it is first turned on it is nice and smooth but under some circumstance (either some certain app or what I am about to talk about next) it becomes more stuttery. I think this is linked to the fact that my idle temps of the laptop are hovering around 45-55 degrees, if im lucky 40 at tops (or should I say lowest). I've never owned a laptop before but surely this is too high when IDLE. I dont do anythig intensive on the laptop, I only casually browse and watch videos for now. I've attempted undervolting to minimal success and repasting is a last option. Thanks for the help

I got a brand new computer, and when I try to open "virus defender settings" and such, on Windows 10, it won't open, and my cursor starts flickering with a loading circle next to it that won't stop. It goes away when I restart the computer, and comes back if I try opening it again. Any help please!
