Hey! I tried to overclock my RAM, kind of failed so I just reset my BIOS. Now I can't boot without using CSM. Says that there isn't an UEFI driver present or something like that. Is there any way to fix this without reinstallling windows? I have an ASUS x570 Gaming E motherboard.

I have had similar problem before, but it seems inevitable to boot only UEFI mode. Is it perhaps issue of a "raw" platform/BIOS? As when I enable CSM and reboot, then the screen stays black and eventually boots up with UEFI mode enabled, not both. Hi! First, I apologize if I misworded the title, I'm not fully knowledgeable in this field. Anyway, my SSD probably died 2 days ago. I can't boot to windows, can't reinstall windows, and all I could do was copy things off of it, but other than that it was write protected and I couldn't cancel it in any way. Now, I brought an old hard drive which has Windows 7 on it, so I could at least boot. The drive didn't show in UEFI mode, so I had to change to CSM/legacy to boot from it. The problem is that my keyboard and mouse don't work now. They work in the bios, but as soon as I boot into windows they stop working (they both have lights, and they turn off when starting to boot). I'd appreciate any help regarding this issue. Thank you!

Ive been having the problem for a week that my SSDs wont be recognized. Now i finally git it to work but now its wont boot from my boot stick, to install windows. It shiws up in the BIOS and in the Boot Options menu. If i boot nothing happens and it stays at a blue screen and turns off, or wont give a display signal and turn off, wile the fans go haywire and all my LEDs are also on. When CSM enabled my bios wont save the changes and wont boot until i restartet my pc for like 10 times. Occtionally it will eneter the bios right away

Hey guys, I have issues running some games after my update to Win11. I need to enable secure boot. Everytime I have tried it, my pc doesn't boot up. It gets stuck showing "AsRock" with the press f2 to enter bios prompt, but I can't enter the bios without resetting by removing the cmos battery... I tried the following When I enter the bios, I set in Advanced/CPU Config AMD fTPM switch to AMD CPU fTPM Security/Secure Boot Secure Boot Mode to standard Security/Secure Boot Secure Boot to enable this gives me the follwing error message: "disable the csm in setup, repeat operations after rebooting to ensure uefi video driver is operational" then i try the follwing to turn off csm Boot/CSM CSM to disbable when I now try to enable secure boot, I get the message from above again. When I save and restart i get the problem with not booting (see above) My system: Ryzen 5 3600 (stock) RX 5700 XT (stock) v22.2.1(most recent) As Rock B450M Pro4 v5.3 (most recent) 16 GB Ram c: 970 EVO 1TB GPT d: CT500MC 500 GB Win11 (since today, problems started right away…) Update: the not booting error just occurred after normal restart without doing anything to bios. Weird… Update2: reinstalled windows, same problem. Also when choosing fast boot instead of just deactivating csm without turning fast boot on. Starting to think the problem might not be fixable, I’ve contacted asrock, but I’m still hoping for someone here to be able to help me attachment 1: picture of screen I’m stuck on

Hey guys, so I’m gonna update to windows 11. I meet all of the requirements except secure boot. I watched a video on how to do it with my motherboard, and to do it I also needed to disable CSM, but when I do that it shows I have no boot devices. So then since CSM was already disabled, I tried to enable CSM again, but also enable secure boot. But when I did that, my boot drive showed up, but the screen would just refresh for a second and wouldn’t boot to the drive, does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Specs: Motherboard: Asrock B460M Pro4 CPU: Intel Core i5-10400F HDD: WDC WD10EZEX-60WN4A1 SSD: Kingston SHFS37A120G GPU: AMD Radeon R7 370 Hello guys. So I have a problem with my pc for a few days. 3 months ago, I upgraded my pc with new motherboard ram and cpu, and everything was working fine until the day before yesterday. The Amd's program crashed and I decided to restart my pc. After the restart everything was working and suddenly my display turned blue. Not BSoD. Then I decided again to restart my pc and after the restart I had no display and no keyboard and mouse and there was a red light and on the right it says BOOT. So i opened my pc and removed the CMOS battery for 5 minutes and put it back on the motherboard. After turning on the pc, it shows the BIOS and I enabled CSM (as I did after upgrading my pc), in order to go to Windows. But, after saving the changes and restarting, I had the same problem. No display, no keyboard and mouse and a red light in BOOT. What do I do? (Also sorry if my english are not the best. It's not my native language)

So this isn't technically a desperate cry for help. Basically I was preparing my PC for Windows 11, activating TPM and Secure Boot. To get Secure Boot to work I had to disable CSM and then convert my boot drive from MBR to GPT. That all went well but now whenever I turn on my computer it first boots into self repair and I have to select "continue to Windows 10". It boots fine after that but it's a bit of a hassle to do every time. Do I re-enable CSM or something? Or is there something else I'm missing?

So I've been running Windows 11 for months now without an issue, all of a sudden today I did a standard reboot and windows would no longer boot. After messing around for hours trying to figure it out, I found that turning off secure boot and turning on csm fixed the problem. It doesn't make sense, first of all I thought windows 11 is supposed to need secure boot to run. Second, I've had secure boot enabled and csm disabled the whole time I've been running Windows 11, Why all of a sudden did it change? Also if It will run this way, should I just not worry about it? Or should I expect to have issues with it setup this way? Thanks in advance for you time!

Hello, Currently in my PC secure boot is disabled and CSM support is enabled. I have a Gigabyte H310M Mobo. What will happen if I disable CSM and enable Secure Boot ? All my drives are in MBR.

(Motherboard is Aorus A520 elite). (Windows says BIOS is legacy). On my Aorus BIOS I disabled csm support to enable secure boot and when I saved it and restarted my pc it didn't load windows. I checked the boot sequence and it says there is nothing to go off of but says my nvme m.2 drive is there which has my windows 10 on it. When I did disable the secure boot and enable the csm support it comes up with something in the boot sequence and then works. Please help. (I would like to keep the secure boot).

My Setup : OS : Windows 11 Intel Core i3-9100F 3.60 Ghz Coffee Lake Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 TI 4GB GDDR5 SSD 256GB M.2 NVMe 16GB DDR4 RAM Power supply FSP 350-51ACC 350W - Intel Core i3-9100F - Cooler XILENCE Performance C CPU cooler I250 PWM - Gigabyte GA-H310M-H 2.0 / Gigabyte GA-H310M-S2H - Memory 16384MB DDR4 - VGA GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5 - SSD 256GB M.2 NVMe - Case fan XILENCE Performance A+ 120mm RGB I followed the instructions in this video , since then my screen shows "no signal". I have already used other screens and ports, On the problem computer I use Displayport which I never had problems with. I have also already done the PIN reset, and removed Cmos for an hour, all without success. The computer starts normally as far as I can tell, but I doubt if it boots at all. My mouse and keyboard still work (at least they light up). I have been searching the internet for days, but so far nothing could help me. Under the video in question, more and more people are reporting that they have the same problem as me, They also have a Gigabyte motherboard. I usually solve things myself, but in this case I really don't know what to do. I would like to thank anyone who takes the time to do this.

Hi, I recently acquired a rtx 3090 , and i wanted to enable resizable bar. But to enable resizable bar i had to disable CSM. Has soon as i did that, my wifi card (which was include in my asus tuf x570 plus gaming wifi motherboard) instantly stop working. I already tried to : use the troubleshooting tool of windows do a network reset update my wifi card driver entirely disable the wifi card, remove drivers, and doing the above steps again I know that it is not a good idea to use wifi, and that i have to use ethernet, but i am currently in a place with a crappy connection and the only thing that is working well is my 5G connection. For the moment I will use usb-c connection to share my connection but i would like to make my wifi work again. Thank you

So today I decided to attempt enabling Resizable Bar and enjoying the free FPS gains and... it worked. Kinda. The short of my issue is: I manage to get Resizable Bar on, but once I disable CSM, I can't see my BIOS. (I can boot into BIOS, I just don't see any display.) It can however still boot into windows normally. Here is what I have done, in this order: -Updated MOBO BIOS (vers. F33j) -Updated VBIOS for GPU -Updated Nvidia Drivers (vers. 466.27) -Changed my Windows Boot from MBR to GPT -Used MSInfo32 to confirm BIOS mode is UEFI -Disabled CSM Support in bios. -Enabled ReBAR in BIOS. (4G Decoding ON) -Saved BIOS, booted into Windows -Verified ReBAR in Nvidia Control Pannel. -Rebooted into BIOS. (MOBO reads Ab, code for in BIOS) From here, my display receives no input despite being in the BIOS. (Able to confirm by pressing escape + enter and rebooting PC w/out needing to reset or clear CMOS) Additional things I have tried: -Different HDMI Cables -Forcing Windows into UEFI Settings via Recovery Mode -Clearing CMOS and only disabling CSM -Flashbacking to old BIOS vers. -Checking PCIe Display Output in BIOS when disabling CSM -Hotswapping HDMI while in BIOS -Different HDMI Ports on GPU I did read somewhere that people were having issues with CSM when on Display Port or using the silent BIOS on their GPU. Unfortunately for me, neither are my issue cause I using HDMI and my card is single BIOS. Hypothetically, everything works with CSM disabled, I just can't access the BIOS afterwards to tweak anything without clearing CMOS. I am completely out of ideas... maybe there is something I am not understanding? HELP! Trying to get my pc ready for windows 11. I need to enable secure boot. Inorder to do that I have to disable csm. As soon as I disable it, my pc shows no boot drives and only boots into bios. From what I've gathered so far I think my boot drive is the wrong format of a partition. Is there a way to fix this? Will I have to format my boot drive? And will I have to do this for all my drives or just my boot drive? Also instructions on what to do would be helpful. Thanks guys!!!

Hello, I have turned off Compatibility Support Module in order to enable Resisable Bar, however, now my POST times are very long and I've no idea why or how to rectify it. I believe that the setting within CSM which impacts the POST time is 'Boot from Storage Devices'. Having that setting set to 'Ignore' or 'Legacy' ensures a fast boot, however having it set to UEFI results in a much longer post time. I'm guessing that when CSM is turned off I am in UEFI mode by default? I have no idea what any of this means so I'm not sure of my next step. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 5800x3D Crosshair Hero 8 32GB G.Skill Neo (XMP on) RX 6700 Boot Drive: Corsair MP600 2nd Drive: Crucial CT2000P5SSD8 RAID 1: 2x 4TB Toshiba X300 (the settings in the attached photo allow my pc to POST and boot as normal) Thanks in advance,

I recently decided to try and use SAM (Smart access memory). To do this, one of the options I need to enable is 'Resize bar'. However, to do this, I need to disable CSM. When I do this, I am told 'VGA card not supported by UEFI driver' and that CSM settings were changed for better compatibility. My main drive with windows installed is GPT. Hello, so I wanted to enable 4G encoding so I could enable AMD Smart Memory. In order to do this I was under the impression that I first had to disable CSM. I did all this then saved and exited the BIOS however I now have no display. I have taken out the CMOS battery and have also jumped the CLR_CMOS pins yet still nothing, is there anything else I can try. (This has happened once before and it worked after removing the CMOS battery) cheers all.
