Hello everyone. I replaced the keyboard on a laptop with an aftermarket that is backlit. The keyboard works perfectly fine, but there is nowhere to get power for the backlit on the laptop. I'm planning on making a circuit with battery, switch and the keyboard power cable. My questions are: 1) How much power does the keyboard reqire? keyboard amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0895HSCJ5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_thAdGb6JR0FWR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&fbclid=IwAR0f0NuWijUDKHmrzTWpsnDZUfkAbxuWlA4JrQxlxR_s1ob4gbs4f_qZMFY 2) What should I connect to what? of course there is positive and negative, also probably ground, but what's the other? backup? *see image* Additionally, let me know if you think there something wrong with the plan, please let me know :D

Hello, just as the title suggests im looking for a way to disable the "critial battery shutdown" on android (8.0). I know that this can harm the battery but i need it to drain the battery to 3V (Default 3.5). I have seen tutorials for android with a low version but cannot find a solution for android 8.0.

My PC Gets Stuck on Frozen Spinning Circle. It does the same every time. I shut down, on 3rd time opens Automatic Repair Your PC Did Not Start Correctly. It's not bootloop, infinite spinning circle or blue screen. HOW can this be explained? It can boot once after lots of restarts. In Automatic Repair, Startup Repair might help but I'm not really sure if it is random. DISM and SFC don't find any problems. I had the same issue a month ago and I tried lots of things like, Formatting, Clear CMOS, GPU swap, PSU swap, RAM and SSD health. Because nothing worked I bought a new MOBO but it wasn't the case! I am thinking that it should be the CPU since it's the only one that I haven't change but I don't have a solid coclusion yet to buy a new one!? I'm afraid to shut down because the previous time I had the issue, after some it completely stopped booting on Windows at all! Thank you! My PC Audio isn't outputting to my headphones or speakers. The computer things that everything is fine and it thinks it is outputting audio but nothing is coming out of the speakers or headphones. I have tried a bunch of different stuff and my friend who has much more experience with PC's than I do couldn't figure it out. Let me explain everything that I had done before this issue happened. There was some construction going on in my room for two days and I moved the PC to another room of that time. The PC and audio worked fine in that room for two days and all I had plugged in then was one monitor (HDMi) my headphones and mouse and keyboard. Today the construction was finished so I moved my PC back to my room and I plugged all the same stuff back in with the only addition being a Blue YETI MIC. I left the computer for a little while and I came back and tried to play a video and there was no audio. I checked all hardware connections and I was good on that front but neither my speakers or my headphones would play a sound. I checked all of the basic audio settings and nothing has worked. I have restarted multiple times, and check all of the basic settings and nothing. The computer detects the outputs and says they are working fine and thinks the audio is playing. I am really confused and as a person who just built a pc for the first time idk how to fix this. NOTE: My friend who tried to help me said he could hear the music I was trying to play in discord even though I could hear nothing, and he could also hear me when I set the mic from my headphones as an output in discord. Any help would be really appreciated! EDIT 0: I do NOT have an audio card, I have the Aorus Gaming 5 X370 Motherboard.

Hey All, I built my first PC about 6 months ago with the help of this great community, everything works great except for an occasional 'Critical Process Died' crash. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for when it crashes, for example it will sometimes crash just sitting idle, other times when gaming or rendering graphics. Sometimes it will crash 4-5 times a day, other times it can go a full day or so without a crash, And I've tried everything I can think of over the last few months to no avail... Here's a list of the things I've tried: New Operating System, (Crashes on both Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.) Different Graphics Card, same Issue on both the GTX 970 and 980Ti. New Ram. Different Hard drive. Here are my Specs: Motherboard: Asus Z9pe-d8 ws CPU: 2x E5-2670 GPU: 980Ti Ram: Samsung DDR3 64gb 1600Mhz ECC Operating System: Windows 10 Pro Let me know if any more specs would be helpful, and if you know of any other tests etc to try? Thanks for any help! Steve

Greetings, While watching a simple video on fb I got the BSOD Critical Structure Corruption. A similar thing happened when I open a game and mostly happens then for example if I open AC origins the game plays fine sometimes it crashes when I open LoL it happens all the time, after automatic restart it plays ok. After viewing it in Event Viewer it showed that during the time of the BSOD Rtlihvs.dll was at Critical error, which indicated at my TP-Link wireless USB that I use for my laptop. Some older thread showed it helped if I downgraded the driver. The thing is when I try to uninstall the device ( no option for Roll Back is available ) after trying to install it manually it just installs by itself with the latest driver. I disconnected the wifi and tried it that way also nothing it keeps putting the latest driver. Since I just did a clean install for W10 ( previously had a BSOD with Video Shredding, which only resolved after reinstalling the OS ), I have not did all the updates, so I updated all the drivers, but the issue persists, it's really bothersome I can't play any games and PC crashes almost every time, especially in LoL while more video demanding games have no problem running ( offline games like AC ) and crash less. P.S I use also the second monitor which just had an issue where after Rtilhvs.dll BSOD crash it just froze while pc was running ok and all I could do was closing LoL from task manager and reopen it again. It's a Dell Inspiron 7000 series i5 GTX 1050 1tb SHDD 250 M.2 ( which after installation I did a clean install again and after that w10 install I had the video shredding and did another one format. ) More exact regarding the issue: I have the dump file, I use the USB Wireless tp link tl-wn8200nd to be exact, I have disabled the inbuilt WiFi and use that one since the distance to the router is quite far and the inbuilt does not have a good connection. I wanted to clarify some things that I tried and how this error occurred. Firstly all started when I bought the Samsung m.2 SSD 970 EVO, for which my laptop had a slot so I just opened and put it there ( there was something like a transparent sticker also in that slot which I thought needed to be removed but after trying to remove it and it seemed to have some resistance I left it and put the SSD on top of it which plugged in fine ), after that in the W10 installation screen there was no show of the 970, so I searched for the issue for which the solution was some option I needed to check or uncheck in BIOS I don't quite remember atm. The installation went ok I managed to install the OS ( i had some problem with explorer.exe before installing the SSD also it just did not open and every boot I had to open it with Task Manager after reformatting it was ok ), then after some time, not right away maybe a month 2-3 weeks of usage I encountered Video_shredding BSOD, to which I thought the problem was the Video Card, so I did some reinstallation of drivers and device after that, but the problem persisted so I did format once again, now I have encountered that Critical_structure BSOD and not the event viewer showed the rtlihvs.dll . I have tried so far using a different tp-link ( same model though which I have on a desktop ) and so on. The issue is still there and occurs only when I open a video game ( mostly in league of legends it happens the moment I log into the game, not the login screen or loading screen ), it does not happen as often in single-player offline games, but still has happened a couple of times. So, as the title says, my computer was just running fine a couple of months ago, but, one day it randomly rebooted, i thought it was windows update so I just let it go, but i kept doing it over and over again, every day at a random time, it would just shut down, I thought i could've been the drivers, so I updated those and it didn't reboot for 3 days, so I thought the problem was gone, but it came back, I've noticed it likes to reboot after I turn it on and I start to use it, it I wait for it to reboot, I won't happen, it's just after I've just turned it on like 1st time of the day(not always, but frequently) and I start to use it, when I went to Event Visor to check what happens, the same critical error appears: "The system rebooted without been cleaned first. This could be because of the system not responding, or having the power supply interrupted unexpectedly" I went online an found something about replacing the power supply, but I wanted to be sure first instead of replacing it, can anyone help me? Processor: AMD FX 6300 Six Core Processor 3.50GHz RAM: 8.00GB 64-bit operating system Power Supply: Corsair CX 500M Disc: Seagate Barracuda 1000GB MotherBoard M5A78L-M/USB3 All of these parts are now around 3 years old.

Hi! I'm in problems! Yesterday I bought an HDD, WD 1tb, because I wanted to have Windows in my main hard drive and a second mac OS High Sierra in my new HDD. I did a partition of the HDD, 500gb and 500gb. One partition to save files and share them between my two operative systems and the another for installing OS X. When I was installing the mac OS High Sierra I wanted to use the disk utility to format the partition I wanted to use to install it. I selected Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and I tried to format it. Then the disk utility gave me an error saying that something was wrong. I thought: ok, let's try again and reboot the system. When I rebooted the system, my surprise was that my PC was freezed in the Motherboard's Logo (in my case, Gigabyte) and I couldn't do anything, neither enter the bios nor going to the boot setup. Now I have opened the PC and I have taken out the new HDD. Without the HDD connected the PC seems well. If I connect again the HDD, the PC gets freezed again in the Motherboard's logo. What should I do? I'm really worried... I hope my HDD is not broken. I forgot to say that I have an i7 6700, motherboard Gigabyte Z170-HD3P, Samsung SS Many thanks!

I have posted twice about Kernel-Power ID 41 on this forum and so far after a few posts back and forth the thread dies. This time I have collected everything and hopefully this will get fixed/solved. So here goes nothing: Full Specs: OS: Windows 8.1 (64-bit) CPU: Intel i7 3770 (Taken from Pre-Built in late 2014. Came with pre-built in 2012) CPU Cooler: Corsair H90 (Purchased in late 2014) (Thermal Paste on Corsair H90 used) GPU: Asus Strix 970 (Purchased late 2014) MOBO: ASRock z77 extreme4 lga-1155 (Purchased late 2014) HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB (Moved to new PC late 2014. So I've gotten several "critical process died" blue screens in the past day. When it has happened I've usually been doing something related to graphics (1st time was with borderlands 2, 2nd time I was watching a youtube video). Upon restart of the initial blue screen I would lose access to my second hard drive (a WD blue 1TB). The hard drive still appears in BIOS, and is working ATM. The WD drive has my games and chrome installed on it. Some troubleshooting I've done: - Removed the graphics card: I did this and my system works fine for the several hours I kept it like this. - Detect WD drive in BIOS: This works too, after i go to BIOS and make sure its there the error doesn't happen. - made sure my drivers were up to date. I'm going to try a new port on my MOBO for the WD drive. I'm backing up all my data just in case this is dealing with my HDD. The 2nd time the blue screen appeared was about 6hrs after my computer had been on, I'm pretty sure the issue is not temperature related. It happened with my GPU installed. I know this is very general but if anyone has experienced this I'd appreciate the input! Specs: - Windows 8 (not 8.1) - i7 4770K (no overclock)... stock cooler ATM - MSI 760 2GB (no overclock) - Samsung 840 120GB (OS drive) - WD Blue 1TB (secondary drive) - 16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM
