Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I’ve had this issue for a couple of days where on first boot I get a ton of blue screens and can’t even boot into safe mode. i managed to get the system to boot by disabling xmp but when Windows loaded I was missing tons of features like the use of the windows button and being able to use settings. I done two scans in terminal from a guide I found which didn’t sort the issue. so I restored windows from a backup I had and everything worked perfect all day XMP on and al over locked in bios. This morning I’ve had the same thing happen, on first boot after being off for 10 hrs tons of blue screens and errors. please help.

Alright, so I've been trying to sort this problem out for well over 3 months now. Whenever I launch SteamVR, it just flat crashes. The program opens just fine, but regardless of weather or not you click anything or not, after about 30 seconds to 1 minute, it hard locks up and crashes, giving a "SteamVR has encountered a critical error" message. In the first 30 seconds you can look around and move freely in the VR home, but if you try to open any menu or do anything else, it freezes. It doesn't crash my computer when this happens, Just SteamVR itself. every 5 times or so I try it also crashes Steam with it. Outside of SteamVR, my VR works perfectly. I can play Microsoft Flight Simulator or any other Windows Mixed Reality title just fine, I can play Beat Saber fine if I'm not running it through Steam. This problem also persists across both of my headsets and will also crash even if my headset isn't connected to my tower at the time. Things I've tried: - Verifying SteamVR file integrity. - Reinstalling SteamVR - Updating Microsoft VisualC++ Redist. - Updating Nvidia Drivers - Updating USB Drivers - Disabling antivirus or other software that would likely interfere with it. - Running Steam as Administrator - Running SteamVR with the -safe tag - Several other things I can't even remember <.<; System Specs - Windows 10 - Ryzen 5800x - Asus B450 F Gaming - Gigabyte Aorus Master RTX 3070 - 64GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 running at 3200 - 2TB NVME drive - 1200W Thermaltake PSU - Oculus Quest 2 - Oculus Rift S Any idea's? This has been a pretty frustrating thing to deal with since absolutely nothing I try works at all. Any help would be much appreciated. Any questions you have I'll answer as best I can. Thank you!

So, a few days ago I caved and bought a 30L Omen because I've been wanting a new GPU for over a year, and finally had the chance to upgrade. Unfortunately, I couldn't manage to get my hands on just the GPU, but I settled for an Omen 30L that came with a 3060. Anyways, this morning I wake to a computer that has freshly booted. Interesting, because I did not shut the machine down, and have it set to not shut down (just to sleep) even when inactive. I've been using the PC for about a week with no issues, and have full intentions of just using several of these parts as upgrades to my previous build. (Came with 1TB M.2, 3060, and a 5600 and want to keep all 3) The issue is listed below. It states that it is Event ID 41, but the issue is that there is no bug code to reference, and there is so much information online about it I'm not sure where to begin. I have already tried the following: sfc /scannow through Command Prompt. However, I'm worried it will happen again as it has now happened two times (the first time I thought maybe I just shut off the PC and didn't remember, but upon viewing the log I can see that it happened once three days ago, and again today.) Both of the times the computer was entirely idle, albeit after hours of use. It hasn't done it while in game, only when I have been away (so far). So I'm unsure if there is some crash that is occurring that I do not see, but I assume there is not because the Event Viewer doesn't list anything. If anyone has any idea as to what this could be it would be greatly appreciated. I do not want to keep the $1,500 PC (have another eight or so days to return for refund) only if it does not work or has some insane performance issues. After all, my last PC worked completely, but I wanted better frames/performance. Below I have listed the error information from the Event Viewer. I can also say there is nothing wrong with the temps of the PC, and there is nothing wrong with the storage device of the PC. I have used CrystalDiskView to check the life/integrity of the M.2 and it says that it is operating at 100%. The temps are 45C CPU, and 30CGPU at idle. Under load the CPU goes to 55C and the GPU goes to about 48-50C. I have not seen either of them go above 55C, and I check relatively frequently. (usually right after I get out of a game, or right before I close it to get an idea of baseline since I just got this machine) Log Name: System Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power Date: 3/6/2022 9:45:41 AM Event ID: 41 Task Category: (63) Level: Critical Keywords: (70368744177664),(2) User: SYSTEM Computer: Destroyer Description: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. Ok hello everyone, I have some kernel power issues with my homemade computer since ive made it (more or less 4 month ago), ive done a lot of unsuccessful research and test, and i just don't what to do but calling for help. Also sorry but I'm french so my English might be mediocre. First, my setup : MB : Gigabyte B450M DS3H CPU : AMD Rysen 5 3600 (stock cooler) GPU : AMD RX580 4GB VRAM de chez YESTON (supplied by 8+6 pins) (Buy used, but talk a lot with the guy and i trust him) PS (previous) : Seasonic S12 II 500W ATX 12V 80+ Bronze (buy used, but professional seller) PS (actual) : Intertech Argus RGB 750W RAM : Corsair Vengence LPX 2X8GB DDR4 3200 MHz SSD : Crucial 92 NVMexpress M.2 500Go (Windows installed here) HDD : Seagate Baracuda 1To No component have been overclocked all component stay relatively cool on all use (GPU max 75°, CPU max 80°, only when playing modded doom eternal) Next, the issue : The issue is a complete crash of the computer, displaying a black, grey or brown screen for several seconds with a freezed sound. Then the pc will shut down, then instantly reboot into the windows logging screen, without showing any loading sreen. No crash dump will be created, but a kernel_power 41 critical error report will be found. This happent only while playing heavy games, almost exclusively on total war Warhammer II (campaign map), but one time or two on other games like Doom Eternal, Doom 2016 or Prey. The crash do not shows up consistently, he can be away for a week and then shows up every hour on a total war campaign. There is no clear pattern on when it will shows up except : -this happent 1/2 time on auto save -this happent only on campaign map in total war -this happent only if the game is running in front page -this does not happent on lighter games -changing the graphics options does not matter What ive done so far (chronologically): -Checking the games integrity -Checkings my drivers/windows updates -Checking my hardware build -Disabling the fast boot option on windows -Reinstalling the majors drivers -Checking widows integrity with SFC -Reinstalling my games -Changing the Power supply (see setup) -Changing my case cooling for x3 arctic P12 -stop using a multiple outlet (i dont know if this is a English way to say it) -use another outlet in my room -stress the component with OCCT (every test for 1h except the "power" one that ive done for only 10 min because my CPU was getting to hot. This triggered no crash) -Pray the omnissiah with candles a some mechanicus ost wile covering myself with arduino cards So... I'm basically lost, cause you know i just a neophyte in hardware science, this is my first ever pc build and i do not have the money to buy new components for testing. And here i am asking for help !

Specs: MSI 1660ti 2x8gb vengeance 3000 b450 aurous elite ryzen 7 3700x 240gb m.2 ssd corsair 2tb seagate barracuda Hyper X cloud II WIN 10 x64 500W psu I just built a computer and have experienced ~3 blue screens with an error code of "Critical Structure Corruption". I'm pretty sure I've updated every driver, installed every update, and checked to make sure all hardware was installed correctly. Attached is the blue screen error log and from what I've seen its linked to memory or drivers. I have run a memory check and it came back with no errors. I have also looked into the administrative events and there are 4 errors relating to drivers two of which are relating it to the "The device HID-compliant headset (location (unknown)) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash." I do have a pair of hyper X cloud II headphones installed and I can see both the HID-compliant headset and my cloud II headphones in device manager, both say they have fully updated drivers. There is also one kernel-power critical error that just says its related to loss of power or unexpected crash.. I'm assuming that was caused by the other errors? not too sure. Hope someone can help, never had this many problems with a computer right off the bat so not too sure what to do. Thanks

So, as says the title, my computer was just running fine a couple of months ago, but, one day it randomly rebooted, i thought it was windows update so I just let it go, but i kept doing it over and over again, every day at a random time, it would just shut down, I thought i could've been the drivers, so I updated those and it didn't reboot for 3 days, so I thought the problem was gone, but it came back, I've noticed it likes to reboot after I turn it on and I start to use it, it I wait for it to reboot, I won't happen, it's just after I've just turned it on like 1st time of the day(not always, but frequently) and I start to use it, when I went to Event Visor to check what happens, the same critical error appears: "The system rebooted without been cleaned first. This could be because of the system not responding, or having the power supply interrupted unexpectedly" I went online an found something about replacing the power supply, but I wanted to be sure first instead of replacing it, can anyone help me?

Okay so my PC is about to go out the window. I recently upgraded my PC with a bunch of new stuff, more RAM, new storage, new PSU, new CPU and it's never performed better EXCEPT for this great meme it does where it turns off and on at random, just as though someone pulled the power cable out and jammmed it back in again within 3-4 seconds. I've been having this issue on and off for a few weeks now and I cant get it to replicate on any cue, its not heat related as far as I know, my power supply is brand new and I've even tried changing the power board it's plugged into in case it was just an issue with power surging or something. The only recorded error code I get is an ominous "Kernel Power 41". I disabled Windows' ability to restart the PC by itself so I dont think it's a software problem. Does this sound like a busted motherboard? Specs: Mobo - ASRock b360M Pro4 CPU - Intel i7 9700 @ 3ghz RAM - 4x8gb DDR4 Dual Channel HyperX GPU - Nvidi gtx 1060 6gb Storage - Samsung 970 Evo Plus nvme m.2 - 500gb PSU - Some bronze standard 750 watt Cooler Master one, I threw out the box, sorry I really just want to be able to use my PC without worrying about it crashing and wiping my progress in work or games for no discernable reason, its so frustrating. Edit: I've tried a few of the standard things, scanned for viruses, checked core temps during high octane activities (like playing RDR2 lmao) and I've now disabled the disk turn off feature in my power settings, cant figure ANYTHING out, the crashes can be hours, minutes or WEEKS apart.

So awhile ago I posted here asking for help with my PC randomly restarting. I provide my specs and the error ID 41. I got some solutions but none of them worked. I am starting to get nervous, especcialy reading online and seeing it be a Power Supply or Motherboard or Ram or all of them for some people. Anyways, here is the specs and error information: Log Name: System Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power Date: 5/2/2015 9:40:51 PM Event ID: 41 Task Category: (63) Level: Critical Keywords: (2) User: SYSTEM Computer: Modulus Description: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first.
